Reviews of Wythenshawe Town Centre
C. B.
Busy as usual plenty of Xmas Market stalls rides for the kids.popped into the gift factor for a few prezzys lovely staff great selection highly recommended 👌
J. P.
Quite steep ramp getting up to the parking but after that they were all very nice, explained it simply and drove us kindly to the airport.
A. B.
Just a fleeting visit, but great impression. Certainly appears to have great facilities. Really cheap parking.
S. H.
Well located next to the Interchange and Wythenshawe High Streets. Car park available. Lloyds Pharmacy and the Medical Centre is open (appointments only at the moment)is open. Hopefully soon all facilities open again. Swimming Pool, library, Cafe, news agent. Nice new interchange with the curved roof tops and some sculptures.
C. E.
We did some shopping here recently when our flight from Manchester Airport was delayed. I have not been for years, and was pleasantly surprised at how well it has been upgraded. Lots of shops, big and small. Plenty of parking. Wish we had similar where we live now.
M. I.
It's a good shopping centre essential shops are availble it has ample parking and public transport facility nearby.
Only draw back is it closes early needs time extension and doesn't have a vibe to attract shoppers it looks dead.
There should be an addition of tesco or Aldi supermarket along with asda.
D. B.
Decent amount of shops but the parking does really let it down especially if you need a wheelchair space as the taxi drivers think it's fine for them to park there.
L. P.
I've been here twice now to watch my girls perform in some competitions and I've enjoyed the day on both occasions, it is a big room with a huge stage. There is a small shop & a little cafe which serves hot & cold meals as well as coffees etc.
V. A. T.
I feel that it could really be upgraded and modernised, one could do this with graffiti and murals to make a more pleasant place to shop. It also needs to be kept clean as I found it grubby whilst the shops are trying so hard the centre could up its game and offer more for the youth
s. m.
Regular mix of shops, tram stop is very handy and the car park is free for two hours. Costa is ok, big Wilko store at the top of the high street. Usually clean and tidy with a couple of staff about to help you if you need anything. Has a big Asda and B&M also a decent post office with good staff.
N. V.
Like so many other high streets it has a lot of closed units but it does have a large Asda and B@M bargains along with all other shops you may need , Boots , bank with plenty of cash machines
L. B.
It's a shame how Civic has declined. There's lots of empty shops. There are still shops around, like poundstretcher, b&m, asda and Wilko, so there's plenty of choice.
P. O.
1960s architecture but plenty of shops around.
Bus exchange makes it useful for airport worker's
M. P.
Home zone nice shop lots to offer at Fair prices just wish they carried more stock of wallpaper
N. T.
Was shocked how much it had changed, so clean now and good variety of shops.
P. H.
Lots of cheap shops , some fantastic Thai food from a hut, and a very handy travel hub.
M. H.
I had a vey good experience of cutting my house key.The Timpson couldn't do it on three attempts,so I was nearly ending up not to lock my house.I was thinking, whats the chance that Civic will do it properly(?)and heureka! It did work.Good job!So 5*from me...thank you
S. B.
It would be a better place to visit if people disposed of their litter properly. This place has lots to offer in the way of shops and other facilities but is let down by the untidy appearance.
a. n.
I try keep away from this place but it had alot shop I guess it's convenient just not very clean place
7. B.
Very well positioned, easy to get there, accessible for shopping and great place for having out with friends
N.

D. D.
BRILLIANT PUB GREAT CHARACTERS BEER PRICEY ONLY DOWNFALL GREAT FOR ALL FOOTBALL GAMES WORTH A VISIT
r. b.
Has a shop there for all your needs. Right beside multi storey car park
G. H.
Bargin of century. I bought 3 bags from a stall outside asda . For £3.00 each, should have been £30. Each
J. B.
Everything we needed in one place. Good Gregg's as well
C. s. T.
Is a really nice place to walk around and chill out whilst doing the shopping. Was impressed. Clean and tidy not over ran with litter. I'm starting to get up and do more days shopping.
J. K.
Local shops centre, gym, pool, sauna, KFC, doctors practice, Mcdonald, butcher, Poland food shop and banks Tsb, Halifax. Big car park
J. G.
The shops are good but this place is so run down now
A. c. B.
Civic is awesome I went shopping in asda & B&MS & they were very nice & helpful to me.
U. M.
Wonderful environment. Wish I can get an apartment around Wythenshawe🤔
S. C.
Good shopping center.. you can find lots of groceries stores and restaurants.........
A. A.
OMG no one can imagine how much I love this place.. you can find most of store that you need, ASDA, Poundland and my lovely Select is there.. there are many coffee shops. The bus station and metro link are neer, just about 5 min or less walking..
S. H.
I really love the town centre, as has absolutely everything you need, shops from shoes clothing, supermarket, homeware and fruit and vegetables markets. Coffee shop, police station, forum, library, and much more!!
Now nicely decorated for Christmas
A. T.
Great for essentials. Clean and tidy store asda.
G. I.
Yeah it's not as spectacular as other centres like in Stockport, but there's a certain charm to civic, and there's a lot of variety shop wise considering the size. There's a few market stalls that sell clothing, accessories, vaping accessories, and fresh fruit and veg and even rugs! There's also a carpet store, many bargain stores, charity shops, hobby stores like the works, vape shop, The beloved gift doctor that sells basically everything to do with home decor, jewellery shops, pawn shops, a couple gambling/betting places, clothing shops, and the nicest Vietnamese noodle shack run by the sweetest lady. As well as these there's also cafes, beauty places, hairdressers, and the classic chains such as asda, b&m, Wilkos, greggs, poundland, Iceland, kfc and mcdonalds, even a fish n chip shop! It's worth a stop by to have a nosy, I always come away with something when I visit
M. M.
it would be all right if the security guys didn't let the youth into the store. I asked my daughter to buy me bread after school. Unfortunately, she called me to work with the information that young people from her school are not allowed to enter. After all, security guards are also there to make sure that someone does not steal something. And they assumed in advance that a young man is a thief. Sad
i. c.
Great venue well set up along with a well organised event
S. W. (.
Lots of popular shops including Asda, Heron food, Wilko, Cex, Cash Generator, Costa, Mcdonalds, KFC, Dominos, Iceland, Farmfoods and more. The market is, well, rubbish. Not a patch on how good it was many years ago with only a handful of stalls with traders on now. The centre itself holds events throughout the year for special occasions which are fab. Its also had a recently installed bus and metro station which makes it easier to get there.
u. k.
kinda out the way and parking lot was really messy and unclean, although ww got our food really quick so the service was great but not the best location or environment.
S. H.
This is a run down shopping centre and to no fault of its shoppers. They are loosing several stores up and down the centre and they are now due to lose their markets. Can we predict what the future will hold for Wythenshawe Civic or just wait to see what happens. Otherwise it is a nice little centre and most of the people are very friendly. They have both Tram and Bus access. They also have the Forum which is a wonderful community centre.
T. A.
Nice place, lots of parking available
L. P.
When you go here you have quite a few shops that you can go to. The staff is willing to help you and friendly
M. K.
Needs updating .Money needs
to spent on it. To make it a Better place to visit
D. P.
I was very busy quite a few shops had closed down since i was last their.
A. m. K.
A compact place all in one
K. M.
It's got a Greggs, Asda, B&M and a Costa. Two pound shops, a couple if clothes shops, home bargains, a chippy, abit of a market, farmfoods, Iceland, JD, CEX, Herons foods, Argos, Boots, Opticians, Butchers, Poundbakery, a decorating outlet, White goods store and a few others I may have missed. Good transport networks, metrolink and bus station right next to it. Small attractions now and again, good shopping experience and options.
M. B.
My favourite place love they breakfast.
S. J.
It's nice to walk back in time here.
The butchers is our all time favourite
D. A.
Struggle to find parking spaces to shop here as always busy. Havnt tried the multi story car park though. Tend to come around 7 to catch bnm or asda when it’s quieter.
C. S.
Fantastic service in McDonald's from young trainee Emily.
M. T.
A lovely welcoming place for a family swim, very helpful staff, very clean and well maintained.
p. f.
A place with loads of character. So many personalities. I really like the development of of street market offeering street foods from around the world. Can also get some West indian foods there now. A Black hair shop with most of things I need. A little more expensive but by the time I've ot into my car and driven down to High High Street I reckon I've used the money in petrol!
C. B.
Great wallpaper selection and very reasonably priced
A. E. M.
Best place to do shopping near the wythenshawe area.
R. S.
Till staff very good and delivered the same day
H. P.
Do love roughing it in civic. Always come back home with a bunch of goodies
C. B.
Lots of shops and food places good
A. B.
Very friendly and helpful in the Post Office.....
s. s.
Wear a hazmat suit as this place is like Chernobyl, decent for bargains, a cheeky coffee and a classic Greg's but wouldn't spend hours as you may grow an extra limb. High chance of encountering a road man. Must say Mr bakers I a belting chippy hats off.
B. B.
We did Indian programme yrday. Nice management and very friendly staff. Nice big and clean. Best wishes
N. T.
Lots if shops, worth a visit
g. b.
Lots of empty units which is not the greatest shopping experience. Sign of the times
Otherwise decent and reasonable.
B. C.
First time visit and I am impressed.
A. D.

K. C.
Good sized supermarket, free parking for few hours etc with everything you need and other shopping adjacent.
N. A.

P. B.
Easy access, good parking. Essential shopping good.
D. M. L.
Convenient local shopping centre 🏬
Lots of various shops to find something without travelling to City Centre.
a. o.
Yeah, always get what l need from asda
L. T.
Not as good as it used to be, there are lots of empty shops now, covid hit hard here. The shops that are still open are great, the indoor market is brilliant. Royles butchers stocks quality meat at reasonable prices.
P. A. L.
Not many shop still open but the ones that are open are fantastic
D. M.

C. C.
All in all a decent Civic Centre. Can't really say much about it since I was not there for myself but for work (I'm a cleaner).
K. M.
Great shopping centre. Shops all close knit with good variety of everything you need in one place. Parking facilities very good too.
B. J.
Just popped into Asda. Very busy.
R. N.
Variety of shops, outdoors clean and spacious
R. I.
Not the most attractive of places to shop. If we’re all honest, we come cos it’s just round the corner. Asda’s the main draw for me. But grateful to have it right where I live.
c. b.
As usual found all I was looking for. Good value for money
D. M.
Has a very small market which isn't on every day and isn't really anything I would buy but the fruit and veg stall is good. Big wilkos which is good and a number of pound shops and bakers. A few new additions to the centre now is the works, JD and Costa coffee. Can get all your shopping done there. Easy to get to and free parking as long as you dont stay to long.
b. s.
Shops OK but offices above the shops are very much in need of a modern face-lift. Similar to mersey Square Stockport
Council makes lots of money from civic centre
Spend some time and money to make civic centre a place to rival Stockport + Altrincham
Wythenshawe is a nice area not a dump
Put us on the map
Resadent for over 70 yrs
C. W.
Great cicic Centre with lots of bargains and supermarkets. Free parking and lots of shops. Shame the market is no longer there though.
M. B.
Quite a busy shopping centre super markets, petrol station, car parks fast food outlets. A good mix, nearly always busy. But lots of room
M. S.
Lots of shops but not always easy to park. Having a larger Asda and shops like B and M and other similar shops which are currently open makes the visit an easier one as there are a number of different options.
j. w.
Very handy for public transport. Good service in shops I used. Minus a star as Wilko out of stock of item I went for but good store and stock shortage now common...?driver's
M. W.
A really good selection of shops, cafes, banks. There are a number of charity shops including one where everything is £1! There is a Library, market and The Forum Theatre. Bus station and tram stop attached to the Centre so easy to get to/from. There is an pay & display parking area as well as a large multi storey car park. I'm sure there are things I've not yet discovered.
M. L. H. M.
Lots of different shops all with very reasonable prices! You can do all you shopping here, from your month's groceries, to clothing; birthday cards; furniture; jewelry; and much much more. A variety of shops and stalls to choose from. Visit the indoor market as well, there is also the butchers that offers great prices. Definitely a precinct to visit!! RECOMMENDED!
T. W.
Bit rough with Gangs of youths causing problems which is the negative side. On the positive side The people are generally lovely. Some interesting shops. Big Asda and Heron, Boots, Iceland etc. Bus Station Interchange very good, very clean and well maintained. Trams and buses into Manchester City Centre and Trams and buses to the Airport.
C. N.
It's okay but could do with a revamp
D. D.
It is ok, Asda, Subway, B&M and probably more that I didn't see.
A. A.
Local shopping centre with a good range of shops good free parking and transport links. Decent sized Asda and a variety of other food stores. Also clothing, household goods, cafes and a variety of other stores. The market is not what it once was but I can pretty much get whatever I need from here, and have a nice lunch at the same time!
A.
The centre it self is a nice place to go with plenty of shops and a friendly atmosphere. However be cautious in the bus station area as more teens are riding bikes through it and nearly hitting people.
W. R.
Civic center good place to shop and good selection happy to go shoping but Costa cafe need new pot washer stains on tea pot And spoons other than that I like shoping at the civic centre
T. J.
My daughter lives fairly local so we have used the shopping centre a few times. A good selection of shops and variety of products although one or two empty units with ample free parking good toilets and disabled provision happily will use the centre whenever we visit !
W. K.
Not much to say here ,it is what it is a shopping centre.
m. m.
Always a good place to visit needs more proper shops other wise it's good
M. S.
Nice and clean place with many shops, cafe, a small market, the library and the gym with swimming pool. Generally everything you need if you leave around. There are 3 car parks, 2 of them are free and one outside the gym cost only £0.30 for 2 hours! (and you have a refund if you are the member of the gym).
H. R.
Nice clean place, easy to get to. There is a couple of food and places , so should cater for the variety of people wanting to go. car park for shopping and easy to get to off the junction and signposted well in wythenshawe. A couple of drinkers about, don't let that bother you.
J. B.
There a adsa farm foods home bargains b&m Iceland poundshop great shopping centre
y.
Love free parking and the wide range of shops nearby.... But the car park is very busy with lots of cars coming and going.... So you need to be careful....
k. p. o. m.
Not bad at all. All your decorating bits and pieces. Fairly priced on your beds and bedroom furniture
S. P.
Highly recommended Rabbie Noodle Hut, authentic Thai food cooked right Infront of you. Friendly and very accommodating host. Generous portions, full of natural flavours, must try! Beautiful presentation! Position in mindle of Civic center. Beautiful find!
D. C.
Suitable little shopping area, could be improved but definitely not the worse
J. C.
The Works is brilliant due to great value products but mainly due to their excellent statt.
P. N.
One of the first shopping centres from the 60s great place to save money and see old friends from school days.
My Parents always shopped here and our Dillon Family of 7 children. We often return here to shop nowadays.
D. N. (.
Upkeep is not the best and looks like lots of empty offices up top.
No restrooms (That I've notice)
Nice selections of stores. Not the best but not the worse. Never felt uneasy about the place.
Car Park is a nice bonus with food places near by such as Mcd and KFC.
A. F.
Wide range of shops here. Clean and tidy site. Plenty on offer from the site.
I. E.
The place is beautiful I actually visited spec savers eye 👁 clinic the staff were so polite and welcoming and I and my family got the best services
J. M.
Easy to find people very helpful
P. 2.
Very lovely, love the staff, very friendly and they show me where I cud charge my phone after coming back from airport so awesome place defo would come here again
R. G.
It is a good shopping area but the parking limit of 2 or 3 hours is insane. If there was a limit of 4 or 5 it would be better. We could spend more time here and more money. It's that parking eye. Scum of the earth Parking Eye are.
M. R.
Civic centre is good place to shop as there's a wide range of different shops available. Theirs toilets for disabled people and plenty of places to eat. There is also a market which is indoors and has lots of local produce from cheeses to meats. There is also a free car park so no worries about getting a parking ticket.
m. 9.
Love my home town shopping centre
A. B.
Had a look around. Most shops closed down, seems clean and tidy. Not from this area.
k. e.
Ive always liked civic centre solid down to earth friendly people top value every where you go great array of shops and bargain stores all you could need lots of very easy accessable parking top dollar
C. S.
Got everything I went for not over crowded and a reasonable amount of good shops.
F. L.
Shame the indoor market is closed. Good for picking up all sorts, from football memorabilia, weekly shop and a garden rake.
G. W.
Ok place no real big shops except Asda.Plenty of parking spaces and a Wilko and a small B&M.
K. B.
Good variety of shops and of course the market, plenty of space , a d somewhere to sit usual coffee shops and a cafe if you just want to chill . Easy a cess from buses or tram a d ample cheap car park just at the forum, other car parks busy well worth a visit . Forum has gym and swimming and evening entertainments bingo hall nearby.
A. K.
Nice place with variety of stores and you can get each and everything at affordable price.
j. s.
It will never be as good as the days it had the big outdoor market but it does have a lot of choice still.
A. H.
There are many choices of shops so u will 100 percent find what you need. It also is very nice inside the buildings and very good to go to have yoyr weeklt shopping. Also KFC and McDonalds are right next to it which is very good for lunch if you arent in the mood to cook.My favourite shop there is poundland because when i need i can get a quick drink for less than £1!!! So very good and will recommend
Sorry for how long it is :)
Me not you
S. L.
Well the center it self is very old fashioned in build. But it puts on numerous events over the year ie Christmas shows, turning on of the lights, by a b celebrity. Entertainment on all through the day such as bands, vocalists kids entertainment etc. Craft shows and stalls. Halloween is a good event in civic again numerous events throughout the day. The shops are ok Holland and barrett Costa Iceland Asda diy store B&Ms large gift shop. Cafes. Leisure centre, witch puts on numerous shows in their large stage. Tribute acts, pantomimes etc. Swimming baths gym indoor cafe. Only 3 clothes shops. Could do with more mens clothing shops. Wilkinson. Indoor market. Nail bars, hairdressers. Argos. JD sports. Sports direct. Ample parking space witch is free for upto 3hours or 30p for 2 hours in the leisure centre. Farm foods. Heron foods.
It has metro station witch stops right out side the center. Large post office.
Overall it could do with a revamp and more clothing shops for men apart from dat if you want a bargain civic is the place.
A. g. U.
Good selection of shops even though some have been lost because of the vivid 19 but asda super saver boots & super drug as well as Costa pound land farm foods and ice land plus many more take trip down there I'm sure that it won't disapion.
T. A.
Good for charity shops. All three provide quality items at amazingly low prices. The Sue Ryder especially..offering clothing, shoes & lots more for £1 each
Unfortunately the market, in my opinion isn't worth the visit for the six or so stalls.
T. P.
Seldom go here. Ok in good weather when you can sit outside but limited indoor spacesin times of bad weather
P. S.
Great place to shop, plenty of different shops to choose from & get your bargain & Costa coffee a place to sit & have a coffee & maybe something to eat as well. Have a chat with some of the customers. Very relaxing after shopping!
J. M.
OK. But it's very busy. Parking near b and m is OK but can be busy getting back out to the main road. Taxi drivers are a pain here they park all over and get in the way.
P.
Great centre with everything, cafes shops, Asda, pound stores, butchers fast foods, Costa.
This Centre has everything you could want, although a few empty shops it does not appear to be suffering as much as some of the other towns and has lots of shops to choose from.
Has a Asda superstore and public toilets, betting shop, decorators and more.
Ample parking and disable access, this centre has it all.
S. N.
Tried to use the carpark on a Sunday but none of the lifts were working, somewhat disappointing
A. O.
I was quite pleased with my visit to Wythenshawe town centre. It had a very urban look to the layout of the buildings and the shops. A modern interchange being a stone's throw from a tram stop makes it's easily accessible for commuters. Add that it with a lot of surrounding green residential areas makes it an attractive option for families looking for a quiet yet modern place to live.
T. I.
The shopping centre is dominated by betting shops and pawnbrokers. It is quite seedy. However you can get pretty much anything you want at a decent price. With the tram coming through the middle it does mess up the traffic flow badly so just when you want to get away it can take ages.
S. P.
Off-putting now that all Asda security staff are to be issued with firearms when the next lockdown comes into force. This is worrying for the mask less shoppers. Trigger happy
w. w.
Decent little shopping centre for the people of the area, not one you would specifically travel out of your way too. If your find yourself there and fancy a chippy mr bakers around the corner is very nice!
B. F. (.
Love the fact there's so much free parking right at the shops nice atmosphere
M.
Great place for discount stores, pound shops, cheap pies and pasties, vape stores and bookies, not forgetting the cheap meat. Also, plenty of places where you can get a phone unlocked.
S. M.
It's not the place I grew up in and has changed for the worse. Manchester City Council have messed this area up big time!
C. H.
Value for money. Not far from where I live. Staff in all the shops have always been polite, talkative and helpful.
x.
Not bad for a quick shop, lots of places to see
A. W.
Maria's cafe so good. Great food , real community, fab location
R. W.
Plenty of stores offering a good range of products to suit your needs. Lots of new independent traders too what is very encouraging. Lovely beauty and hair salons too.
P. G.
Not been for years, lovely atmosphere, proper civic center, good to see positive interaction
E. J.
Shopping centre which has farm foods ,Iceland asda ,boots ,specsavers, and other stores. The market has closed
C. V.
Great for popping to get the extra essentials from such shops as Wilko's, Poundland & Rabbies Noodle shack offers excellent quality of food.
L. T.
Useful and well appointed shopping centre.
Good cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price in the cafe in the mini mall section near Wilko.
O. N. G.
Day to day shopping along with the post office and many more
J. A.
The gym is not very well equipped for bodybuilders but it is very clean and easy to access by car due to big carpark. I can only recommend it!
B. K.
Lots of great shops only pitfall is parking, only get 1 1/2 hours no long enough.
N.
Wythenshawe centre......a very cheap place to shop buzzing with people on most days...it has an indoor market with some great places to eat would highly recommend the Thai Cuisine in the indoor market.....the woman is a very talented and makes food much better than most Thai restaurants I've had the pleasure of dining in......there is also a great butchers "first one on the left" in the indoor..... The people in the indoor part are always friendly even when your a new face.....the center itself there are plenty of cheap shops from pound land to Iceland....there is a selection of cloths shops, ecig shops pretty much what you would expect in most centers....so if you haven been there before.....is worth a trip for so many reasons...there is a free multi story car park which is always a plus in my eyes...from the carport there is access to lifts aswell as stairs.
M.
Good selection of shops
P. G.
Architecture somewhat reminiscent of former Soviet Union (cf Chernobyl) - however has some decent market stalls and shops with very competitive prices esp. ASDA , Wilko , Argos and a number of bargain shoe shops. In addition there are quite a few places to obtain sustenance offering a reasonable amount of choice. Good access by bus and tram - don't know about parking as I haven't got a car.
a. f.
An excellent place for relaxation, job seeking and lots more.
J. 2.
They have several amazing shops that can meet your expectations and also there are plenty of shopping clothes items including JD,SELECT,SPORTS DIRECT that is around the corner ... there is ASDA a really preferred shop for food items cleaning items anything really even clothing, and if your looking to get a bargain go to home bargains they have really good prices for many thing you might want I love civic because it has many things that I like and is also closer to me and there is also argos if you ordered anything go there to get it or if want to buy anything and also there is Boots it's a pharmacy full of good quality products that will help you in daily needs children food, hygiene products and lastly let's not forget about medicine there is more to civic there is places you can order good food from or a fast food if you want to know more about civic you go am give it a look.
H. H.
This is a typical new town shopping centre. All the amenities are there: bus station, library, supermarket etc. There's a reasonable selection of shops but much of it is outside, so cold and wet when the weather is bad. It serves its purpose well.
M. T.
Everything in here, also v helpful
P. H.
Good shops, useful staff and a variety of local fast food establishments. (McDonald's, KFC and a Dominos) there is also free parking in the asda for those who want to bring a car to make bringing shopping home easier!
R. F.
It was fine clean & tidy the only downside is that the Car park was multi story that's ok but if you drive a high sided vehicles ie transit van you are stuffed & there didn't seem to be any normal car park
H. G.
Good variety of shopping but hidden parking charges. If you only a minute over you get letter by post to pay fine.
There is no way you can challenge the penalty.
K. P.
Has a Herron Food and a Pound Bakery, so gets 3 stars... Thats the only real positive as it also has a lot of 'less desirable' people there so you will probably get mugged while eating your 2 sausage rolls for a pound. Woman had her bag opened by a pick pocket while in a charity shop, yes thats the kind of people they target, the kind that are elderly and shopping in charity shops, how nice... Parking is terrible because people cant drive or read so just leave their cars anywhere. All in all a good backup day out if Wigan is closed.
G. G.
Regular place that I visit. An assortment of shops for retail and food on the go. The butcher near ASDA is always worth a visit.
T. S.
Great place and great management
T. G.
Rubbish, spaces to small, car doors always get banged and damaged, always full never any spaces,it's like dodgems trying to park etc everyone in and out,no one looking where there going
D. P.
Lots of shops, not to many empty units as is becoming the NORM in many shopping areas, good selection of eating places, including mc Donalds, KFC, chippy, Costa, market cafe, not an indoor covered centre. Has asda, and Large car park open and covered parking, disabled toilets in KFC, mc Donald, s and asda, most stores close at 5 pm.. Asda is open later, but that's about the only store that is..
O. P.
Went to Asda to buy some food.
Quick and painless, no long queues at all.
Got a lot of discounted food as well on the cheap!
L. K.
Gor some fantastic value meat off Royles on the market, grabbed 10.books for a tenner from The Works for xmas presents, went to Asda for milk and then ended up in B&Ms for soap powder. Great value doe money everywhere and lovely friendly staff
K. S.
Looked ok my first time going specsavers for an eye test.. saw some kid trying to act hard in front of everyone, appeared to be getting kicked out for doing something wrong.. where are their parents lol grow up prats
j. p.
It's got a large range of shops and an indoor market, plus outdoor stalls too. Free parking and lots of eating options. You should be able to buy most things you need there.
s. c.
The shops are ok but the derelict bus station, closed indoor markets and overall run down feels like its been abandoned by the council.
A. G.
The Wythenshawe centre has many shops and transport to and from is brilliant. There's a McDonald's, Subway and Costa to name a few. Several homeware stores, an Asda, B&M and other high street stores for example Boots and Superdrug. Parking is in a non payment car park but you can only stay for 2 hours or you can use the multi storey and stay for 3 for free. It gets incredibly busy on a Saturday and Sunday and it's best to aim for the multi storey for parking. It has a community feel and there are many people around to help!
J. I.
great place place everthing you need
E. D.
Need better shops decent cafe with home made food. Proper hot dinners too many charity shops get rid of Asda have a decent super market with original. Prices too many bookies
S. N.
Improved massively in the last 20 years, still free parking which is a big plus and a wide range of shops now. One of the better Asda stores in the area, only negatives are the inhabitants of Wythenshawe!
W. C.
Great but need longer on parking and more parents and child parking less disabled parking as they can use parents parking
C. P.
Good selection of shops, big and small... there's Costa an mc donalds to grab a coffee in-between shopping an free parking up to 2hours, multistorey car park is 3hours. Great place great people, all u could ask for an more...
T. G.
Lots of shops, places to eat etc. Shame there is no market any more..
V. C.
Excellent place to take a walk and relax.
J. L.
Clean and well maintained town centre with a good mixture of shops. There's 3hrs free parking at Skypark which is next to the BP Garage (and also linked with the Asda supermarket I think).
It's a spiral entrance and exit so I'm usually dizzy after going up and down 😁
s. b.
Good selection of shops with convenient free parking however there is a time limit on parking so I'd advise to check to avoid fines toilets are available to use inside asda
M. T.
It's a dump.would rather travel further afield than go here. Looking at low life's doing their shopping in their jimmy jams in the afternoon is depressing. Trying to get on the ASDA car park past scores of taxi's is a joke too, apart from that it has a nice tram, bus and police station.
i. f.
There is a real community feel to Wythenshawe Civic Centre and it has all the necessary shops to cater for the average persons needs. People are friendly and welcoming, so a great place to shop locally.
J. R.
Varied shops, nice cafe in the forum
d. (.
A sad and worn open-air shopping centre, has the bare basics but not alot besides, close to a tram stop and the Wythenshawe forum so travel to and from the centre is quite easy but thoroughly mediocre otherwise.
B. 1.
Not a bad place when it's fully open , the Gift Doctor is the best shop on there, just a shame thete are so many scruffy smelly people on there some people have no self respect.
t. l.
Wythenshawe civic centre was steady yesterday while I was there. The few shops that I visited were busy but not really full for the time of year, this made it easy and fast in each shop.
L. H.
Good place to buy fresh and frozen foods, always has a wide variety of options. Additionally there is many places to eat. However, sometimes it can be very busy, (and a bit chavy) for that I give it 4
S. P.
I go to the civic center in wythenshawe each week. It has plenty of free parking in the multi story car park which is accessible round the back. It has disabled access. All the shops there are easy to Access and are all disabled accessable. There are a good variety of shops to choose from and are very reasonable prices. There are plenty of seating areas and toilets in Asda. In the multi story car park levels 2+7 belong to Asda and have free parking it's much easier to park there than down in the car park at the front.
C. C.
Today was a nice day in civic shopping centre. Good weather. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Not too busy or rushed. Got a lot done.
P. I. P.
Incredible place for shopping
J. M.
I always pass here whilst going to work. Sometimes I stop over to get some minor stuff in the evening. There is ample parking and it's never crowded.
R. A.
Full of plastic gangster's ha
M. T.
Parking is very tricky
J. B.
Mellow shopping centre with not too many empty shops. Easily reached by bus or tram. Small rennamts of old fashioned market still there. Go to Forum for coffee and toilets.
A. L.
Discount stores. Excellent card shops and great place for Helium balloons.
C. S.
Pedestrianised shopping area with plenty of choice. There's Asda, Iceland, B&M, poundland, pound stretcher, boots, superdrug, Windsors, peacocks. There's a card shop. Indoor market. Travel agents. Halifax and Tsb banks. Costa. Free parking
D. J.
As far as the local shopping centre goes this is an ok place I haven't got opening welcome him with his with a local market. Plenty of places to get some fresh fish or some other produce.
W. S.
It's an alright place quite a few shops not hight street ones due to its size good for convenience people shouldn't put it down till it's been given a look first
S. B.
I go around lunch time, there is often Dorris around who is happy for a chat before I head into the local shops. There are a few chavs around in the evening so you are fine going in sweats, don't bother with jeans...they're uncomfy anyway.
K. S.
For an IKEA it was a rather pleasant experience. Lovely store. Well laid out as usual. I usually visit Warrington but this store is LOTS better.
K. K.
Today just went to buy some DIY stuff. Surprisingly get it everything what I need it.
K. R.
Great place to shop, grab a coffee or have a bite to eat. They also do great events throughout the year to keep kids and families entertained!
J. D.
Good reasonably priced shops for food, clothing and household goods. There is an Asda, Wilko, Home Bargains, Peacocks, Cash Generator and lots more.
Fully pedestrianised precinct with free parking.
S. A. N.
KFC, Asda, Boots, a few vape shops, butchers, subway, B&M ... I am sure there are more shops here but these are some I remember from the top of my head.
T. B.
Down to earth people and good shopping place :)
T. R.
Went to the wallpaper shop, as a large selection, and not many shops like that left. Parking in front free for 2 hrs, and multi storey available. Other shops asda etc are located nearby.
J. O.
Great shopping centre has anything and everything you need plus a large supermarket and on certain days a market outside. Brilliant for everyone of any age.
Y. O.
There's a lot of shops you can find pretty much everything there from barbers to construction shops
A. A. G.
Plenty to choose from for shopping, asda , Iceland, tsb bank , but the shop I love the most is the gift doctor, from cards to Yankee candles ,aroma diffusers and oils,e cig's and juice , wax melts to cbd oil this shops great you visit it
e. “. /. P.
small and cute place
T. W.
Always what you need! load'sa shops. Few hours out & a coffee with ur friend ☕😘
A. F.
Cramped parking, and only two hours of free parking before you get a ticket. There are plenty of shops there so two hours isn't really enough if you have a few places to visit.
J. D.
I really love.going to the civic you can get anything and everything you need from there
D. A.
convenient shopping at reasonable prices.Large stores ASDA, Boots, Wilco, Sports Direct, Iceland, along with smaller shops such as Specsaver, Farmfoods, Shoe shops, Card shops, and Pound shops, newsagents, chemists and market stall butchers and greengrocers .Adequate Parking and bus and Tram connection. alongside the shops past the Tram stops and bus station lies a Public Library, Theatre and Swimming Baths .
A. W.
Really beautiful and small but has your essentials, the major clothing shops aren't the best though.
D.
Another great location to get all your household shopping done. Very clean with a nice layout. Plenty of discount shops and closet to public transportation.
S. S.
Nice collection of shops
R. S.
It was quite with very few people around than usual but the drive thru at KFC and McDonald were very busy.
R. B.
Everything that you could want all in one area. What more could you ask for... It also has adequate parking
R. B.
Good shops, plenty of parking space. Market has good green grocers and a very good butcher, Wilshire. Only shame is no Primark or Marks and Spencer.
M. K.
Great place to shop and get a good deal.
J. A.
Nice place to shop
C. W. L.
Regular mix shoppes with fair prices.
P. E.
Love civic Centre always full of different cultures and characters
K. K.
Plenty of shops and plenty of parking, inside and out. A large /medium super market .
T. c.
Wythenshawe town centre is the one stop for almost all your needs. Be it fresh produce(Wythenshawe Market place, ASDA, Home bargains) or the frozen (Iceland, Heron foods, Farmfoods), apparel shopping (peacocks , Selects, ASDA George) or the cosmetics or pharmacy (lloyds, superdrugs, Boots) or the convenience stores like B&M, Poundland, pound world or pound stretcher). All these and much more at one place. The occasional fun activities at the center makes it a good place to be with family.
A. H.
Quite a good place to shop plenty of parking and retail shops and businesses in a pedestrian only environment nice little market and many usual high street retailers enjoyed it
I. A.
Wythenshawe Town Centre also known as Civic Centre used to be a very good shopping centre but Manchester Council have gradually got rid of the market (people came from all over just to use it) now even shops are standing empty unless you have a car it's the only place you can do your shopping
C. M.
Very scruffy place needs good overall and more shops Not same since market went when they put bus station there Now moved it again Don't see the point myself
P.
Important local hub for shoppers. Asda ,Iceland feature along with local traders in the indoor market.
C. H.
This place us so cheap to do groceries, has a heron food, farm food, home bargains, local butchers etc all in close proximity, has few nice cafes and Costa to ppl watch :) but lacking clothes shops has a few but just smaller versions of stores, has tram station, banks, post office, and a gym, library and bingo close by
M. B. (.
It's nice place for quick shopping... Not big but still nice. Everything is there, even caffee shop ;) Very recommended ;)
A. P.
Great range of shops, for example B&M, asda, pound stores, banks, holiday & travel companies. Easy parking and easy access by bus n tram. Bargains to be had.
a. r.
VERY good
M. H.
Somewhat dirty and has a bit of a bad atmosphere - lots of youths in hoodies in groups wandering around. But a good range of shops and a well priced market.
r. c.
Looks run down, uninviting but there are useful places here
g. j.
Liked town but macdonalds was awful filthy badly organised food went cold we had to wait for apple pies then after we paid got told there was no sugar doghnuts got told we could have chocolate waited 20 minutes then got offered more apple pies as they had no doghnuts and never had
C.
Surprisingly or not, a very good little town centre, decent selection of shops with an Asda supermarket embedded within. Often has small events on in the square.
h. h. r.
Not much up there really quiet depressing
Really used to be a fab place to shop
Not now
M. C.
Nice to many shops in town center specially to many charity shops to found old equipment or cheap clothing or brick brack books
And some coffee shop's to sit down and relaxing or eating in door some quality and cheap food
You can go shopping for your weekly or daily your for home needed
S. x.
Love this place. Very friendly staff from the different stores. HB ps pl and Gregg's.
m. c.
Good and nice town. Lived there a couple of years back before I moved to Coventry. Just keep your eye out as Teens are out and about robbing people.
A. O.
You'll get most household stuffs and food shopping done here from popular names, but no departmental stores. Theres plenty of parking spaces.
K. H.
Alot happening, every shop you can think off. Good facilities, toilets etc. Halloween fair on today, so 👌
M. R.
Great place decent variety of shops and market indoor market has a good set of stalls and all at affordable prices
s. b.
I suppose I got what I needed in the end. Fed up with having to travel to a bank that's absolutely miles from home, if you didn't have a car you would be snookered.
S. B.
First shop out with my daughter got nice bits just disappointed there were no cardigans still need them with weather
C. M.
Not bad for shopping here without spending a fortune, Asda, B & M, Iceland and a couple of other bargain shops Dont really know wythenshawe but was good to go somewhere different.
J.
Love this place..wide range of shops...great parking ...people are just lovely ...big Wilkos too...brilliant
B. G.
There's lots of shops there with lots of bargain's EST go n find out more for your self
M. D.
Back in the early 80s the outdoormarket at Civic Centre used to be the world's premier location for buying Carabou jeans, jumbo cords, and ski jackets. Now it is a pale imitation of those former glory days when Shopping Giant, the NSS news agents, and that sports shop near the forum theatre could boast of being the creme de la creme for upmarket shoppers.
a. b.
I live local and I would like to see more investment practically in the market its just gone downhill it could easily be expanded by using the old bus station that's looks an eyesight
J. B.
Good little shopping centre it has everything you could possibly need including a market and supermarket and free parking too. Well worth a visit.
J. O.
It's not the best place to go, but they have the shops I need.
R. W.
I live local so I'm biased but I love "civic", friendly people great shopping and credit to st modwen for a clean experience
G. P.
It is not a bad place for shopping
L.
Some great shops and always have activities going on at Christmas, Halloween etc... For the kids.
A very rare busy high street.
D. B.
Good variety of shops. Just a shame there's a fair few empty units on site.
S. W.
You compare this place to Altrincham town centre and it s**** all over it! Hardly any empty units! No snobby people and everything you need in one easy and accessible place! 🤸♀️
S. W.
I was able to quickly find the items I needed, parking was easy and close to the store.
H. M.
Great fruit and veg and indoor meat market, pity only one major store asda, not a lot of choice in men's clothes shops.
K. B.
Good place to do shopping Around. For pandemic, it's a different scenario now. But lots options here around.
a. p.
Plenty of stores, you can get pretty much anything you want in a relatively small space, leisure and health in the forum too. Great community hub to be honest
S. F.
Good choice of shops. Just a lot of idiots.
A. Ś.
Good variety of stores but they look like taken back from 70's
N. H.
Sitting in Costa people watching is a fascinating past time in this town.
E. R.
Been shopping here since I was a kid. Loads of great choices of shops and plenty of parking. Just your typical town centre.
K. C.
It good for money
T.

s. r.
Good selection of well known High Street stores and others. Great place to shop.
N. C.
Rough as a badger's bum, but some good shops.
A. T.
Just an average town centre has a variety of different shops has a lot of car parking space but only a 2 hour stay which is free.
M. T.
I loved the shops around e.g. ASDA, Boots and safe place for mini shopping needs met.
N. T.
Changed so much but for the better. Good selection of shops, could do with a permanent outdoor eatery in the middle that's healthy and low priced
a. c.
Pretty well every shop fir every budget
N. F. v.
Plenty of shops reasonable prices
J. 1.
Value, parking, varied shops and a one stop shopping centre.
s.
Pretty good choice of shops, got a McDonald's, KFC, subway, Domino's and some other nice food places.
C.
Somewhat limited on the shopping experience but has most of the basics including a large asda, homebargains and iceland along with little card shops.
A. H.
Nice walk around not many shops but enough to keep you browsing for a few hours
V. L. R.
Plenty of shops to choose from, also a very good market!Plenty of benches to sit down on of you need to rest
Plenty and various places to eat!
C. G.

A place to chill out in the sun and near to the Wythenshawe City Centre tram centre and Wytheshawe Interchange
J. W.
A nice quiet place to do shopping in a calm environment. Lots of shops good parking in multi story car park.
S. D.
Has a lovely indoor market, where there are some lovely butchers and food places such as the Thai Food place it's gorgeous.
S. F.
What can I say ,its civic centre , I've heard that when designing The Trafford Centre, the Architects involved took a long look at Civic Centre and were inspired by late sixties and early seventies design .
T.
A place that has everything from clothes to games! Great place to hang out with friends and the Forum next to it has a pool and many more fun things to do
D. O.
Lots of stores and market place to visit. Several places to eat, drink coffee or grab a quick snack. Wrap up well as it's open to the elements.
F. B.
It's the place next to my favourite college campus everything there was amazing food shops snacks shops all that I wanted my favourite market I went there with my close friends and my favourite class.
S. H.
Is getting better, now with the new job centre, the only thing that in my opinion should change is the closing times of the stores, should stay open till latter
S. H.
Good market and also ASDA and some other good shops
Pity the market has gone
D. S.
Lots of different types of shops from the usual pound shops & charity shops, there is the Gift Doctor for specialised 'gifts', fashion shops. There is an inside market & outside market.
Food shops, DIY- the list is endless!
W. F.
I got slightly lost trying to find a way into the centre from the bus station. But the place has a nice mixture of local and big named stores.
p. J.
It's an old 60s open planned shopping mall.
It has everything a family wants from a "big shop" trip. But dreary and possibly intimidating
C. T.
Shops are all fast and friendly, not usually busy either so you can just go in and out without a wait.
I. F.
Nice place to go shopping or just have a walk. There's a lot of people, especially in the morning, and you can buy almost everything there, without leaving Wythenshawe.
g. h.
Definitely worth a visit great range of shops and easy to get to with good transport links, and a nice little market during week
R. D.
Good day
m. b.
A beautiful place for the local people to hang out and possibly do their daily shopping at reasonable prices since there are many shops to choose from !! Go and check it out for yourself !!
C. G.
Brilliant choice of shops and very conviently placed near bus station and tran stop. Also not as busy as Market Street
m. l.
Very nice, good choice of shops and a market (didn't see all of it) tidy place.
l. b.
Got all the shops we visit that we can get some great deals from. Heron foods, farm food.
Z. U.
An Argos, an Asda, a Costa, a Halifax, a Wilko and lots of little repair/hobby shops coupled with free parking make Wythenshawe town centre a quick place to shop for essentials.
C. M.
I shopped in Asda and the staff were hard-working and very friendly
a. h.
Still more shops closing ,needs serious investment and more greenery
A. L.
Always a cheery place to shop.
O. G. B.
Civic, or "Wythenshawe town centre" as non-locals call it, is fine for a bit of retail therapy but there are three charity shops, at least five gambling venues, four supermarkets or grocery stores and two pound shops. It doesn't leave much room for the independent retailers that used to make up the backbone of the community. Without the resurgence of the independent retailers I can't see small shopping precincts like Wythenshawe Town Centre (Civic) being around much longer. Certainly not thriving as Wythenshawe once did. A shame, a real shame, but it is how things are now the monoliths are squeezing the margins and the government is thinning the pockets of the masses.
C. M.
Great place to shop xxxxx , someone said not safe after dark , what a load of rubbish !!! Nowheres safe after dark ! Wythershawe is where lots of fabulous people live xxx
P. C.
It's ok
M. L.
Ok shopping cex staff don't look like mosh pit looking
S. E.
Nice little shopping centre with plenty of choice and parking is very good as are transport links such as buses and Metrolink's
S. Y.
Despite the area being notorious for its image, the Wythenshawe Town Centre had been regenerated supported by good local transport links including the bus station and trams running to and from Manchester Airport.
s. t.
To be honest its not the best area but they have a good array of cheaper shops where you can get branded stuff cheaper.
Just dont be blinded by the area.
S. W.
Civic centre withingshaw is a really diverse shopping experience with lots of value and the best prices. Very friendly atmosphere.
J. T.
I live near there my local shops
A. B.
I COME HERE FOR THE WORKOUT CLASSES LOVELY FRIENDLY INSTRUCTOR & EXCELLENT FRIENDLY STAFF ON RECEPTION

S. M.
Very nice town centre. Easy to navigate and park. Good selection of shops
D. D.
Got most things I needed. Still lots closed due to Covid. Not too crowded.
G. W.
Beware of the car park only two hours then a 70 pound fine shops good choice but two hours not long enough for a good shop
E. L.
In and out of Wilkin,s home*-- %good for shopping
K. T.
9 am. Very busy. Good place to shop if you can find a parking space.

Good quality and well priced carpets, as well as furniture and decorating materials.
S. D.
Nice little place to shop. Compact but lots of shops, great library and car parking.
