Reviews of Gosforth Shopping Centre
Major problem with this shopping centre. You don't get any mobile signal inside at all.
Ample parking on the rooftop & excellent public transport connectivity.
There is Sainsbury, Boots, Costa, WH Smith etc.
Local shopping centre. Well maintained, quiet, very clean, thankfully. Backs onto the park.
You can tell its usefulness by the shops it has: Sainsbury's, banks, card/gift shop, butchers, whsmiths, cafes, etc.
One cafe backs into the park, which is useful for a good view with breakfast, if setting the kids free.
Also has an amazon locker block ! Which is really convenient.
And Clean toilets, and a rooftop carpark which a lot of spaces.

Not very big but has a good variety of shops, such as opticians, savers bargain store, card factory, butchers, wh Smith, bank, supermarket, charity shop and a couple of others nice and quiet.
The fact there was a Uniformed Security Guard who directed me in the right destination, not in the shopping centre as I thought. Had he not been there I would have been very late for an appointment. Well done, thank you who ever you are.
A well layed out shopping centre with a good old fashioned Butchers with a nice window display which you don't see very often these days
Pharmacists (Boots and Savers)
Butchers
Sainsbury's
Costa
WHSmith
Naked Deli
Public Toilets
Lovely and clean. Some good shops.
Lots of empty stores, WHSmith is expensive is things aren't on special offer. Cheap parking in the car park
Wh Smith , Sainsbury's, saver, boots, Costa , charity shops all under one roof. It is indoor and under the roof. Car park straight to shops. .30p parking for an hour. free after 4:30pm. If you shop at Sainsbury's or Argos for above £10 parking charge is refunded.
Very good butchers... big Sainsburys... Costa Coffee.... Lloyd's bank... that's about it really but do visit the butchers. Can't remember the name of it but the sausages and steaks are outstanding. It's the only butchers shop in there so you can't miss it
Costa coffee very good, service quick and friendly.
Great Shopping Centre easy to get too via local transport
Several shops and easy access with roof top parking and lift/stairs down to shops.
Spacious, didn't feel crowded. Most things that you need are covered here, Boots, WHSmith, Virginia Money, Sainsbury, Gift shop, bargain shop, cafes when they open. You can shop then sit in the park and get an ice cream behind the centre. Miss the Post Office though.
A place for the old farts of Gosforth to congregate and save on their fuel bills.
Small and clean. Some shops open some closed.
Clean and tidy with a good range of shops Inc argos, card factory and sainsburys plus others very clean. Parking on top good too
Desperately needs some new tenants. Some empty units but Sainsbury's is OK. WHSmith struggles on. Good butcher in the centre.
Very quiet clean and tidy. Good car park on roof . £1 for 3 hours stay max . Fee refundable In Sainsbury
Great pies if you can find them
Very quiet in this shopping centre. Some nice independent shops, but only those on the high street seem to get any decent footfall
Useful selection of shops and parking nearby. Would be good to see all the units filled again.
All ways clean and nice people shopping
Shopping centre full with lots of lovely shops like scope sainsburys savers, nice happy atmosphere. lots of school kids around though
Very nice place not just the centre
This is very spacious and all the shops are in one level which I really like there is an over ground car park which has lift access for wheelchairs and people who may struggle to use stairs. I also like how open plan it is and if you are ever in class you should visit this place as I like to call it a third home. There is plenty of things to do that you could get something to eat all the kids could play on the bouncy castle there is even a butcher's there.
Its great for indoor shopping but it has specific item. A very wide selection of items in The Card shop, a charity shop, WHSmith, Sainsbury, Savers, an optician a butcher, Costa Coffee, drink in or take out, a lively open area where fruit and veg are there ready to go. A little clothes shop with hand pucked baby clothes and costume jewelry make up the easy on the eye look, an ayebrow salin and best of all, gifts from Godforth or Newcastle along with very fun Cristmas and Birthdsy cards.Very small but very friendly staff.
If its raining, enjoy a bit of indoor shopping. There is a loo too so no worries. The centre is small but packed with great things. Sainsbury even have a rooftop carpark and a lift to the shop. If you but in other shops or then its very cheap to park there but go to sainsbury and you get 30p off your bill.
It a pity the roads are blocked due to the extra lanes out front now as its a lovely centre and not too big you get lost
Great facility
Nice cafes
Supersavers very good prices and helpful staff
Last week, when I visited the only shops I noticed that were open was Sainsburys and Savers. Even though most of the cafes and shops were closed, the shopping centre had a fair share of shoppers going in and out.
The park was dotted with people exercising and families playing/walking their dogs, but social distancing was apparent.
Upon entering the shops that were open, queues were maintained, but they moved rather quickly, so there was not much of a wait. Markers were placed on the floor to serve as a reminder for the public to keep aware of safe distance practises, and sanitising products were available for use on trolleys, baskets and hands.
Nice, quiet, hassle-free shopping still! Haven't visited yet as of late, but am assuming that all other shops will place the same rules for entering their premises too.
A very handy local asset with a good traditional butcher amongst the usual high street shops. Cheap car park on roof with spaces usually available at all times and lifts to the shopping centre below (one direct into Sainsburys) but be aware it is locked after a certain time each evening.
This place is small and compact and not many people use it apart from Saintsbury supper market food store
Just went to sainsburies for a few items had decent interactions with the staff when looking for things, this isnot where i usually stop but i had an appointment with my nearbye opticians
An okay shopping centre. Could do with a few more kid friendly shops and eateries. Toilets are in need of an update also. Good for a few bits although and bistros are nice. Parking in sainsburys or across from the centre. Both chargeable.
It's pretty small with a few local businesses in. Nothing much to say. I has seating. Is clean. Has its own security guard. Beware the chuggers outside Sainsbury's trying to peddle to gas and electric.
Great essential stores under one roof. Nice and peaceful.
Ok range of shops, could do with a lot more in here to make it more appealing. Payable parking. Good range of places to eat but not many child friendly. Gluten free options available.
Went to Rosie's with my friend and had a lovely breakfast presented lovely, and you always get a friendly welcome from the smart staff,I can definitely recommend if you're shopping, you should call in,you won't be disappointed.
Great place, clean with helpful security staff and a great choice of shops.
Not a bad shopping centre but could do with some updating. Ideal if you have young children as theirs a local park that can be accessed from the shopping centre and of course plenty coffee shops and the Local Weatherspoon’s pub is also nearby. The Job Bulman.
This place has a decent array of High St Shops inside such as Boots the chemist, WH Smith Newsagents, tge Card Factory and a Sainsburys Supermarket. There is also a fantastic award winning independent Butcher shop plus some great cafe's and a shop that sells upmarket boutique and unusual gifts. There is plenty of cheap parking spaces nearby and being a indoor shopping centre makes it warm and dry. The centre is looked after by a dedicated cleaning staff and there is also a good visible security presence. I would recommend a look around Gosforth High Street whilst visiting the Centre. It's a lovely High Street with plenty of shops and other services. Great Transport links too.
Here there is Sainsbury's, Costa coffee, bank, W H Smith and other shops. There is a local butcher shop as well. Parking is cheap, there is disabled parking and parent and child parking. You can claim back parking charges from Sainsbury's if you spend above £10. There is toilet facilities and lift to car park.
Clean but appears dated these days reasonable selection of shops
Cheery small unit of varied shops, & coffee units - always kept very clean.
Sainsbury closes at 8 but Costa closes at 6 and the toilets were closed in the center, leaving no where to go for a toilet other than the pub around the corner, my little boy was panicking. That's the only fault I have open the toilets until 8 please.
Never been so not sure why it came up for a review off me. Maybe it's that good it craves my attention so I'll put it on my bucket list and give it 5 stars in advance.
Just a standard shopping centre really
One of the best cafes in Newcastle is Rosie's in Gosforth Shopping centre. Lots of homemade food. Try their pork bap, home made Vegetarian pate, flour less chocolate torte, and around Easter they had individual simnal cakes... Well worth a visit. Chose a table overlooking Gosforth Park.
Rather small as shopping centres go with probably no more than a dozen shops. Sainsbury's, Boots and W. H. Smith's being the main ones. There is parking on the roof which is useful as parking space can be hard to find in Gosforth
Good parking above shopping centre. A good range of shops within the centre. Always a clean and safe place to be. Public toilets are clean. Fully accessible for disabled visitors.
Although not very big but definitely a good place for quick buying. It also has an exit into the park where you could relax after shopping.
Clean, tidy. Parking is 30 per hour. Accessible lift from rooftop car park to ground floor. Highly recommend Roses cafe.
good things in one place all had hard and staff was very helpful too,,
Hope Sainsburys never leave. If they do, I'm afraid I don't give it much time. What doesn't help is the infuriating car park, full of puddles on most days and a blasted pay point which requires your car registration before you can buy ticket. Absolutely desperate! Shame the Post Office decided to relocate as apart from Boots, Virgin and WH Smith, there really isn't much else apart from an independent butcher and optician - oh and a couple of coffee and charity shops (apologies if I've missed anyone out).
Great local shopping centre, with lots of choice for food or shopping and the essential shops are located within this one, such as Boots, Sainsburys', Naked Deli, WHSmiths, and many more.
Also a nice park just out the back steps of here too.
Needs food places that are open sunday
Very quiet with short parking times. It really needs a facelift
Gosforth Shopping Center is a small place, about 2 miles from Newcastle Upon Tyne city center. It has a lge., variety of shops under cover so it's warm and clean.
It is very small with only a few shops. Having said that, it is well presented and is very clean. I wouldn't make a specific trip to visit it
Always clean and tidy. Nice to see some traditional shops still exist. Easy access and close to public transport.
Small but busy centre with everything you need. Kept clean and sanitised
Lovely local High Street shopping centre..lots of café, butcher shop, grocery store, charity shops..very clean and bright.. security team works amazing! Car park
Off for a bit of christmas shopping, a pleasant day to spend a wednesday
All good
Just a standard shopping centre really, very small and quite a few empty units unfortunately. Mixture of local and chain type shops, mainly food shops such as Sainsburys and a small local butchers and a couple of Cafes -Rosies and Costa.
Gosforth is difficult to shop at now because they have reduced the car parking infarct the council have altered the road system for bikes and it has caused a slow down of traffic so people avoid it.
Lots of useful shops, as well as quite a few local businesses.
Limited shops. More coffee shops then retail. You are able to get you everyday groceries but if you need shoes or clothing no.
Pretty much back up and running. Most if not all the shops are back open and have sensible covid measures in place. Bring on the new normal!!!!!!
Nice space, good variety of shops, well looked after and handy.
Good variation of shops places for coffee Costa & Rosie's nice family butchers all under cover so you don't get wet
Is OK v clean
Clean & tidy. Not busy when visited Thursday afternoon. People observing social distancing.
Few shops here. Sainsbury's, Boots, savers, WH Smith and a few more.
A small shopping centre which consists of the following stores Sainsburys Argos, W H Smith's, Boots The Chemist, Card Shop, Charity Shop, High Class Butchers, Costa Coffee, Rosies Coffee Shop.
high igene level, nice clean place, full of shops great position for families as there's gosforth park just close by 😍
Called into Wetherspoons with the grandchildren lovely meals well served and great manners from the staff. Highly recommended.
Excellent array of shops and a good place for day-to-day essentials. There is furthermore an Amazon locker and so this is a great place for your deliveries.
Small local shopping centre with Sainsbury's a traditional butchers virgin bank boots Costa wh smiths rosier cafe opticians toilets on roof carpark access to the park
Went to the wonderful Webster and Carr for a curly hair cut. Fantastic.
Nice but didn't have anywhere that sold meat
Clean, dry and warm on a cold autumn day. Good selection of shops, Savers is great value.
Just lovely to go to the shops after a long time on lockdown
Everything you need in one place.
I always enjoy my breakfast from greggs. The staff are very friendly they are very polite and always ready to help me its a happy shop.
Straight into car park down in lift 1 at a time. Lots of keep distance signs. Straight into bank and home again.
Pick up from Argos in Sainsbury's.
Easy parking on the roof.
Quick service
Works really well for a high street shopping centre. Nice little cafes and a nail salon place.
It has shops for all occasions so is a good alternative if you don't feel like going into town.
Good selection of local businesses and big names. The exceptional cleanliness stood out to me
Always a good shop when I go there nice and clean plenty of shops inside.
Didn’t feel that Covid safe and the constant traffic is irritating
Very small shopping centre. Parking is on the roof. You can get a refund when you purchase an item at Sainsbury. I've never seen this centre busy.
Small and not a lot of shops in there really. Could definitely be kept a bit cleaner as well.
Good parking, clean centre and good shops and bank.
Clean and tidy.well stocked
Nice little shopping centre, been using it for years, recommend a visit thanks
Handy & convenient, all you need in one place. Good quality butchers who make their own pies .
Reasonable, few shops and cafes all the good standard. Not much variation and is pretty quiet
Love this place- an integral part of Gosforth’s local history!
The shopping centre is always nice and clean there is lovely shops there
Hasn't changed a massive amount over the years - same issue as elsewhere, people ignoring the arrows and walking all over maskless.
Easy parking and entrance to the park from here also a good butcher shop and coffee bars plus sainsbury
Nice handy shopping area. Reasonable cafes and interesting second hand shops too.
Butcher's, WH Smith's, cake shop, supermarket, Costa's, and a charity shop. Plus empty units. No crowds at all; in fact I saw very few people using the place.
It's good to visit and do shopping and to meet friends for coffee or tea or just to walk around.
Decor is a bit dated. But a good array of shops, and near the park
Not a bad place! A few good charity shops!
Not a lot to see, and not a lot here. Small shopping mall, better on the main road for shopping.
Convenient and several charity shops to rummage. Nice eateries and card shops. A Boots and Sainsburys 💖
Decent little center and a local cafe and a Costa if you fancy a coffee but the naked cafe is fab
Generally easy to get parked and has a good selection of shops
Nice clean nice food lovely butchers can’t think of the name highly recommended
Good selection of shops and very handy parking.
Has a good range of shops and parkings not too bad
supermarket, bank, cafe.
most shops closed. it is a shame becuase it is a nice clean and well kept building.
Nice little shopping centre with easy access from roof car parking
Good shops but the public areas could do with modernising
The shops that are there are good especially Rosie's cafe but it is half empty
Lovely little shopping centre it's an shame the parking costs as other big shopping centres are free sorry will not returning because of this
Well looked after and toilets are cleaned regularly
Nice place, do the shopping and get a Coffee. Clean and the stuff are friendly.
Brilliant shopping centre, with a variety of shops and cafes.
It's not the best for tourists but if your local it's nice place to shop or have a coffee in

Nice little shopping centre with coffee shops and sitting area.
Useful shops, especially the independent butchers, and several good cafés
