G. K.Convenient location and having the carpark on-site is good, cost to park your car there isn't too bad. The selection of shops inside the Kingsway seems to be going downhill slowly, but there's plenty more just outside.

M. T.This shipping center is average. There is one cafe to get a bite. A Starbucks at the entrance, a Wilko, Poundland, Savers. I only visit to look for a house hold item. There isn't much else beyond that.
L.Visited recently with my mum, was a good day out, but not much in the indoor shopping area.
The outdoor shopping area was as you'd expect from a highstreet, clothes shops, charity shops, food venues ect.
Overall not a bad place, good for a couple of hours.
C. D.Plenty of stores in and around the area to satisfy anyone's need for shoes, a new dress , a new tracksuit or even a suit or just a bite to eat .
T. M.Quite a good selection of shops and easy to access parking at a reasonable price. It is quite cold walking through the centre just due to the way it is set up though.

S.There's a good selection of shops here. Easy access from car park. Toilet facilities and disabled toilets. Great cafe too. The only downside is it's like a greenhouse in the summer due to all the windows.

K. R.All shops undercover. Pleasant open and light area. Also a cafe where you can enjoy a coffee inside or outside seating area. Whole area is no smoking zone. Plus public convenience with a lift to lower floor level.
M. C.A few good shops under the roof. Poundland, b+m, Wilkinsons, clothes shops and a lovely Cafe. Good social distancing measures too. Great one way system. Easy parking too. :)
G. E.Great 👍 to browse lots of space, plenty of shops to purchase from ie from food to to scooters to clothing, footwear, bowling, kiddies play area. Lots of facilities for disabled people and children. Café for all types of different drinks and takeaway meals, and eating or drinking outside 🤔 or inside 🤔

D. H.When this opened I thought finally a decent place to shop in Newport, then shops started vacating, good shops that draw customers like Tog24, Mothercare, Krispy Kreme, etc. Staff complaining about high rents as a cause. If the landlord isn't careful it will be pound shops and charity shops only. Only put up rent when you have a waiting list of quality brands in the wings not when there are units still boarded up. Support the restaurant area they are good, please don't price them out.
R. P.Barely any shops, and the shops in the wasn't relevant. Hadn't been in there for years and it's gone down hill since my last visit. And Newport itself is just full of tents in vacant shop doorways. With endless people pestering you for money. Cambrian is by far better shopping experience
a. W.It's ok, gets rammed at busy periods and nothing special there bar the usual array of "discount" or "closing down sale" traders the, pound shops and what-not.
Parking is convenient though but a lot of the floor signs have worn away in a lot of places so you see a lot of confused people going the wrong way around a one way system- entertaining if nothing else. PS as of 13 November you only get on hour free parking but that's better than a kick in the teeth.
P. M.A few years ago I would have advised to avoid this place like the plague, but the place has been spruced up and reinvented. Much better now as an evening place to go for food. The center is clean, light and airy and has a "shopping mall" potential, but seriously lacks shops inside.
Parking is free for first hour (at time of writing) and reasonably priced after this. Worth a visit but much livelier in the evening. Eateries may need pre-booking in peak evenings.
K. B.Car parks nearby now charging high prices. This is not the best start for a basic shopping area. Some good retailers trying hard to survive. Some shops open and close 6 months later gone bust. Check what you want is going to be there before you decide to visit. Shops in the high street are closing all the time. Even the post office has moved out. Not as good as it was 1 year ago.
N. S.Disappointing what has been done to Newport. The shoppers have gone and the traders have gone. Barely any shops left. The rent is too high for traders and there are no free car parks. People won't pay to park in a place they can't get what they need so they go elsewhere, usually Cwmbran where there are many stores and free parking.
D. B.Nice area, some good stores. One thing that could be better is the in/out system by the car park. Gets crowded when people are trying to pay for their parking as the in section is right in like with the machines.
S. B.It's not too bad, like other reviews it's very small and limited for shops, very few restaurants but its clean and feels safe. Car park had enough spaces and was reasonable costs.
J. W.Not such a bad shopping centre, but if you are looking towards better quality shops, You might as well go to friars walk, opposite the centre. The car park is very decently sized, and the atmosphere created is pleasant.

Restaurants. Multi-storey car park included with lifts and easy access . Certainly well designed.

P. M.Nice shopping centre , on two floors , mainly covered. It has a good multistory car park and the bus station can be reached from inside (avoiding rain if there is any). The train station is also very close. Youcan get under cover to the (free) museum and art gallery.
The shops and cafes are good and it is next door to friars walk, the new shopping centre.

L. B.Looks good but not alot there . I prefer the old days when you had all the variety of the in shops on multiple levels. The big cafe and the rough and tumble have been replaced with the standard Wilkinson's, Bnms etc. But looks alot better than it did a few years ago.

A. H.Nice and clean. Great shops, except for Pep & Co which is like a jumble sale full of tat with scruffy uncaring staff. Could do with some benches in the walkway though. It's exhausting going round the lovely shops.

S. C.This is the best part of the now defunct Newport center, this is the only part of Newport worth a visit. The rest of the centre is a dump.
C. Y.It's all shiny and new and really compact. It was clean too. Starbucks was shocking. The latte was disgusting and I am not sure why but the hot chocolate rn out of flavour halfway through.
Went to café 1 and latte was fantastic!!
A. L.Easy parking unless you have a child as there are no child and parent spaces! A wide variety of shops, restaurants and coffee shops along with a bowling alley, cinema, gym and library which has a lovely little museum and gift shop

H.Quick and easy parking straight into kingsway shopping centre which from the car park is a short walk through the mall to Friars walk, had a quick bite to eat in old school Vacara's fish and chips a nice meal and catchup with old friend then back out of kingsway parking 50p for 1hr ... Fantastic will be coming back nice and clean parking and well lit with stairs and 3 lifts.
C. C.I love how it is undercover although walking through it with my son feels like running a gauntlet of toddler rides and sweet machines. I only go in there if I am on my own. It is handy having a Post Office in there.
T. R.On the whole a rather dismal place to be. Newport is in the middle of a redevelopment so hopefully things will improve in here. As it stands it has a wealth of bargain shops and a semi decent Sainsburys metro.
On a bright note, there is a multi storey car park attached which currently had two hours free parking.

J.A good dose of nostalgia for me, growing up around these parts and moving away, only to return by a chance visit to the royal Gwent. I took a wonder and found myself in world barely recognisable. Although alot had changed, it seemed to be for the better, the market was gone unfortunately, replaced with a Wilko's, and I was bitterly disappointed that the miniature matchstick transporter bridge was no longer by the carpark entrance. Other than this it's seemed almost modern.

R. B.It was worth the visit to town to get a few odds n ends with a stop off in Starbucks to enjoy their hot chocolate and ginger latte from their Christmas range lovely place great staff always polite and cheerful. Sorry no pics but there will be next time I'm in.
L. P.You can find most things here and you don't run into scaffolding, charity shops, empty shops or occupied tents. You have everything from Poundland to Sainsbury , Warren James to F . hinds. There's enough budget clothes shops to choose from. Non prescription drugstore which sells a lot more than you give it credit for. There are pop-up stands which are nice for a change. A big cafe is also here (you won't be able to enjoy a cigarette though). I'm dropping a star because the post office was located here & within no time they closed it to relocate again. That was a huge waste of time & money
E. B.Great shopping wide entrance and very spacuous lots of shopw with variety everything from a small sainsburys to jewlerry shops clothes shops amd even cafes. Always security on site too wwhich they are morre then happy to give any help and support that they can also haas seats through out so if you need a little rest with all yhe bags you can.
M. G.This is next door to Friars Walk and has everything you want from Poundland to jewellers, shoe shops, ladies clothes and the lovely Boswells cafe - a must for coffee and cake or savoury snacks. It is also close to the cinema and other eateries.

J. H.Shopping is on the decline in all areas of Newport. Very limited shopping and often have to travel out of the city to get what you really need.
B. K.Good choice of shops. Excellent Cinemas. Restaurants. plenty of choice. Parking very easy all on one level and very reasonable. Lifts available to first floor.
G. A.What can I say. it's full of cheap shops and things you only go to when your skint.
N. W.Undercover shopping area. Wilkinson, B & M bargains, pound land, coffee shop, post office, a couple of jewellers and more. Multistorey Parking avaliable. The only trouble is the glass roof which is unbearably bright on a sunny day so don't forget your sunglasses

R. F.If you like cheap stuff this is the place for you! Lots of the stores have a fairly short lifespan. Only really walk through from the car park which is 50p and hour, boom!
f.Come down and support the shops. Boswell coffee shop is mediocre tables dirty even though staff milling about.
D. P.Parking at Friars Walk, although convenient, I found expensive: £2.50 for an hour.
There are cheaper alternatives if you know whereabouts they are.
I got there late and car parking spaces were becoming available.
D. B.toy shop, fragrance, jewelers, easibilty (disability shop), cafés, wilko, super drug, sainburys, money shop, hair salon, coffee shops, very clean toilets and adjoining multi story. Kingsway also connects to friars walk....cinema, KFC, TGI Fridays, nandos, m&s food, zizzi's, bowling, doughnuts, Debenhams, Jack Jones, Tiger etc etc.
S. S.There are many shops in the center and some good retailers too.shop with your budget
t. p.Excellent place to shop all your essentials covered apart from frozen food. All the staff are so friendly and it is like a family environment. Other shopping centres are so over priced. Wilko staff were so friendly especially a lady called Andrea who went above and beyond. Bodycare staff especially Deb and Linda were so funny and made me feel at ease. Poundland staff especially Soria and Sonia were fantastic. Chloe in Claires is a good giggle and her valleys accent makes me laugh. The professionalism of Venn and his staff in Boswells love their Korky sausages. Peacocks staff brilliant. Fragrance shop one of the best especially Lorraine. Could go on forever. Will go back everyday if i could. The best out of them all would be a lady called Andrea in Wilko. So professional and certainly knows her stuff.

B. J.Well I don't go to Newport very often but it seems calm to me when I go shopping and you don't have to dodge poeple. Not to busy just how I like it and no rushing about. It's got most shops that i like . Plenty of places to eat and also sit and chill with your shopping for a whlie.

R. M.I have supported NRFC for over 25 years. The friendly clubhouse continues to be good for events and live music artists on Saturday nights are regularly organised. Car parking is available with Buses to Newport every 15 minutes for away supporters.
B. W.Only popped into one shop there and that's only because I was in Newport, the centre is OK but could do with a bit more variety of shops, as a few are all similar carrying the same goods but pricing against each other, I can't say I visit on a regular basis which I don't.

M. H.Quite a few cards card in shops Plus unusual types of stars unfortunately GPO to close in mid November so sad so many ugly people who use the centre and the GPO as I am said in another review but as for the centre very well kept and visual security at all times
G. J.We had a lovely meal in Las iguanas, did a bit of shopping then went to the cinema to watch the latest Star Wars film. Excellent!

J. B.Not a bad shopping centre but not very big. Clean and tidy. All under cover and offers quick access to the main shopping area.

J. W.Friars Walk shopping Mall I is a very nice place to do your shopping, there is a good range of shops to suite everyone's taste. Also a good range of eating places, be it day or evening.

E. W.Lovey place, we stopped to uses the Sainsbury's store, on our way home after visiting the Newport Museum. Its is clean and has most of the standard stores that you find in shopping malls up and down the country.

N. B.A clean tidy place to visit shame there are empty shops but it's got a place to eat and drink and free toilets so not all bad just needs a bit more of an upgrade to match the new shopping walkway
P. C.Good and ample parking, well laid out but under populated mall - shame really cos its clean and tidy and spacious.
D. C.The opportunity to be under a roof is great as the winter is extremely bitter. The summer time is awful due to the skyline making the building feel like a green house.

A. C.After going through the doldrums this centre is now fully occupied by high Street chains and discount stores. Also good cafe.
J.Good place. Not as good as Friars Walk. But cheaper parking. Park in Kingsway and walk to Friars Walk.

M. T.A few nice shops, Debenhams is probably the best with a nice selection and good cafe on the first floor. Also has a bureau de change on lower ground level.

J. M.We only parked here today to go to the Riverfront but the cost was reasonable. It was only a short walk to the Riverfront and we had a good time.
B. G.Parking was so cheap which was really good! Good range of shops inside the shopping centre and also a short walk from loads of things outside of it.
