Reviews of Botley Road Retail Park
I go here mostly to visit Dunelm. Great for parking. You can no longer drive from one retail park to the next one without going out on to the main road as they have closed off the internal link road.
Small retail park with Halfords, Homebase and Pets at home. Normally plenty of parking, I normally only tend to use the pets at home, the others never really seem busy - guess it's a changing retail experience.
Probably the most well stocked little Asda I’ve ever visited. The only drawback being it was a bit scruffy come on Asda sort your shops out!
All great like in every Aldi, customer service spot on, shelves filled up, Ryan, very friendly Manager.
Good car parking plenty of spaces Good shops
The retail park to get cheap stuffs and foods. You can get Aldi and Homebargain here. Best deal!
A great place to shop. Wickes, Aldi and Home Bargains with a trailer burger bar at the edge of the car park. Fantastic 😃
Shame about the massive puddles in the car park but good shops. Dunelm has a lovely cafe.
The shops are fine; the 90 minute maximum parking allowance isn't. It's easy to spend 90 minutes in Dunelm or Hobbycraft alone!
Went to the vets in Pets at Home for my new puppies injection, as always great service.
Pets at Home. Wow they have everything you & your beloved pet could want, even a vet. Very impressed. Good friendly staff. Easy, free parking. Be warned, you could spend many happy hours here, so give yourself & your pet a treat. One stop pet "warehouse " , just loved it!!!
All the shops they keep out of the city walls. Low rent realism.
Easy to find and access. Ample parking serving multiple businesses and stores.
Goods are good, but the service was really bad. There was a queue of customers and no shop assistants. I and others waited a good five minutes before one turned up.
Far too difficult to get in and out of the carparks for the different shop
Aldi was very good and so
was Wicks...Dennis
Good retail park for me. Has an Aldi and Home Bargains.
Great place to shop West of city centre. However recent road works have made for heavy traffic and access.
Great prices and the cafe does well priced food. Only annoying thing is they force you to walk all the way through the store and then have no way to exit other than pushing past customers waiting at tills.
Many superstore shops. Not enough parking spaces
The empty retail units bring a dreary sadness to the place. The car park however was clean and tidy with not one rogue nor abandoned trolley to be seen.
First time visiting a home bargains. Was nice to walk round. Tills very busy. Lots in stock at good prices. Went to the cafe after. Food was good and the coffee was excellent.
Nicely layed out local to bypass for delivery
Plenty of free parking for up to 3 hours. After 3 hours a parking charge of £60.
Variety of shops there for almost all weekend shopping.
Plenty of shops just traffic is a nightmare
I never have any trouble parking here. There is a reasonable range of shops and access is quite good from the city centre and the ring road (A34). It is difficult for me to know what else to say about a retail park, it either has the shop you want or it doesn't. Perhaps I'm the wrong person to be writing such a review, I don't consider shopping a recreational activity.
Good for dunhelm and Halford ,free parking right outside.
A few empty stores now, need to find shops to go there. Good revamped Aldi. Lots of parking.
Ok plenty of space to park
First time shopping at Home Bargains. It's perfectly understandable that the chain store is very popular.
This branch is very organised and easy to navigate. The staff are friendly and patient.
A fun shopping trip.
Pretty much everything is available.
It's adequate but dowdy looking and could do with a facelift. But then, couldn't we all? 😂
Plenty of parking between retail sites. New Home bargains store with cafe & Aldi, as well as close by Pets at home, a furniture & hardware store. Botley Road traffic can be busy getting to this area.
Must go place. Narrow roads to get there so try walking there on the coastal path. Car parking is contactless. Sea can be rough and cold and deep very quickly. Lifeguards present in peak. Expansive beach at low tide.
Friendly staff well stocked store
I have been going there for several years, mainly for Wickes and Halfords and now there is a Screwfix (where Maplin used to be). Pets at Home and Aldi are also quite useful. I live on South side of Oxford so sometimes need to drive to get there (especially for large items). There is plenty of parking but the road in and out can get very busy especially at weekends. On sunny days I enjoy riding my bike to get there to avoid traffic jams and there are various cycle routes to get there. There are a few places to lock bikes (although should be more really!)
It's a small retail park, but it is a busy one
One of the shops that I went to had extremely helpful and attentive staff - the other (despite it being its much promoted 'Black Tag' event) did not have a member of staff in sight! I sorted out myself what I wanted and will buy it over the net. The first store merited five stars, the second just one.
Just went to shop to newly open Aldi on Botley road and need to say it is absolutely amazing compare to the old shop. Great job
Good amount if shops here and plenty of parking
All the cheapest grocery stores in the country are side by side here. What is not to like? Aldi, Home bargains, they have everything you need.
Great. Fast service for click and collect orders. Friendly helpful staff. Accessibility no issues.
Absolutely love this shop .I can get every thing I need apart from fresh meat which I get from the butchers. But from HOUSEHOLD. Laundry. Etc etc .I highly recommend .and value for money.
Can get busy in the car park but still plenty of room for everyone.
Most shops now open and worth a visit
As a bargain hunter , cheaper stuff in the £1 shops , and all Xmas stuff full price , as they believe they are so cheap anyway so don't have sales.
I only go here to collect from Screwfix. So never had a bad experience.
Great Retail Park with lots of variety for shopping. You can get most things here from electrical goods to home furniture it's definitely worth a visit! You can also wall over the road to the Oxford Wine Company which is a real hidden gem!
Very good to saw in the map. Thanks.
Plenty of different shops for different needs. You got a Wickes, Aldi, Home Bargains, Dunelm, Carpet Right, Currys PC World, Pets at home, Maplins, Wren kitchens and maybe some more I've missed.
Plenty of parking. Variety of shops.
Odd selection of shops but you can generally get parked and some late opening here. If you visit the bit with Hobbycraft/ dunhelm mill the weird noise is the car park surface not your car!
For us the chief reason for visiting is to buy household items from Dunelm, but the attractive appearance of the group of stores and the well maintained car park give a very good first impression and invites repeated visits.
This is a really good store because its for quick pick ups and it has EVERYTHING you need for packing a suitcase when your going on holliday! Im soo happy this store is in my life ✨
You've got to pick the right time to go here as the Botley Road is a nightmare. Unfortunately, I've never managed to work out what the right time is as there's always queues. Once you do get there there's a good selection of stores and a decent wine shop across the road.
Stopped here so the wife could pop in to get a trolley full I things I did not realise we needed. She seem happy enough.
I love all the different shops that are here. They have plenty of parking so you don't have any problem getting parked. The only problem getting in and out of it. Best to go very early in the morning.
Some good shops but currently a lot of units are empty for various reasons. New shops coming soon including a 'Home bargains' outlet. Could do with a dedicated coffee/cafe shop though.
The Home Bargains is ginormous and the Akdi is well stocked. This is like my dream mix of discounters in 1 place. Really Great.
A good size store with a cafe and customer loos near the checkouts. Checkout queues were very long and so distancing was difficult. Staff were helpful though.
Love a home bargains but this was a really good store, so much more range than in my local.
Aldi has done a LOT of work to create a safe shopping atmosphere. Hand sanitizer at entrance, most employees wear masks, most shoppers do...although the random person pulls the mask over mouth only whilst they breathe through their noses! Of course the earlier you go (before 11 am) the safer it will be. But, well done Aldi!
What is not to like about Home Bargains next to an Aldi store. Everything I need is there. Great parking area is plus!
Good selection of stores here, we went to Curry's for a gift card
A fair variety of stores for furniture, DIY, electronics etc. and an Aldi. Good transport links. Plenty of free parking.
Not what it was since the closure, without replacement, of Toys R Us and Maplins.
Went to Curry's to buy a fridge.
Lovely lady served us.
Customer service skills were excellent.
Always plenty of parking spaces. Nice selection of stores for variety of items
At the present time it is easy access to the Retail Park due to covid restrictions so little traffic on Botley Road. A good assortment of shops with plenty of parking
Always great shopping
Home Bargains and Wickes all in one Park. I love it the wife hates tool/ wood /screw shopping so it's a win win for me.
Good variety of shops, a huge home bargains, food etc
Good Dunelm and DIY shops plus other retailers.Plenty of parking too.
Visited Home bargains always great value prices on quality goods
This is my go to shop. Busy but not crowded, excellent range of items, never waiting in queue too long, pleasant staff.
Aldi, Wickes remain. ToysRUs is being redeveloped. Argos has gone. Oak Furniture Store has gone. Car park humps are massive. People use the car park when commuting and so it's often a tight squeeze to park next to another car. There is a burger bar next to Wickes which seems to be popular. Can't really say it's one of my favourite car parks but it is very convenient for me.
Good sized car park with only 3 stores: Wickes, Aldi and Home bargains.
Needs more shops good home bargains and a decent Aldi
Homebargins had a surprize how big it was.
Will be going there again.
The only stores I use here are Home Bargains and Aldi. Both very good stores, especially Home Bargains. Plenty of parking available.
It's a bit of a desolate wasteland, if you like the fallout games you will like this place. Theres everything you could want from a retail park, from carpet stores to 3 different hardware stores.
Aldi store is great, cheap, I get a large bottles of Aldi own Jersey Milk. 95p for a very large bottle unlike Lidl 85p for small bottle.
I love Aldi
Home Bargains is brilliant... we needed a shop like that to bring new blood to the Botley shopping experience... love it
Only went to PC World, but was ample parking and a good selection of other shops.
There's plenty of shops in all the attached retail parks and plenty of parking. Easy to get from one to the other. The only thing I would say is that the layout of the car parks itself are a bit muddled.
Great range of products for good prices.one of the largest home bargain shops I've been to.
Watch out when buying wood as they are charging for wooden rheindeers instead at 3 times the price
Several great stores here all in one place, Some significant savings on your shopping bills to be made here!
Visit pets and home here and the staff were lovely and there was a great selection of things for our new puppy
Home bargains has been a brilliant addition, I've never seen the car park as full!
The retail park itself is still functional and not very busy. But the road access to it is currently under construction and as such the journey is often stressful.
Great service well stocked shelves. Keen prices as well
Great discount and wide choices, will get something for every visit 👌👌
Home bargains, Aldi, Wilkes, B&Q all these shops are great. Welcoming and effective during this difficult time.
Easy car parking, visited several shops like dunhelm Argos,Aldi had good time shopping plenty to see and they were all in one place, go see and enjoy.
😃 NEWS Botley Road, most of you remember toys r us one of the new warehouse's there is for Home Bargain Stores and they will be right next to Aldi.
Home Bargains store absolutely brilliant nicely laid out. Botley road a bit of a nightmareas new road layout being constructed
Just love this shop
but did notice a big disagreement with staff and a customer in the cafe they took to long to sort it out it was become uncomfortable to sat and enjoy a cup of coffee
A little sad that some units are still empty, but perhaps that will change when people are happy to go out shopping again.
Very good place lots to choose from and value for money
Went to the new Home Bargains shop and was really impressed by the huge variety of stuff stocked.
Well stocked excellent prices
Not happy about one line queue system at Wickes/Toolstation. There are 9/10 customers waiting to visit Wickes, so why would a Toolstation customer have to wait amongst the Wickes customers.
All the stores In one place, need couches TV computers you'll get it here, plus toys R us. Keep the young ones happy, just make sure you bring extra cash hehe😂
Could do with some cafes to allow people to eat and drink, good express.stores.
Best place to go if you have different things to purchase and need a car park that is close by especially if you are getting household items or electronics.
Considering we had to queue due to covid19 was allowed in fairly quick shop Well stocked and staff helpful
Love this shop, it's got such a gd variety of items in such a clean massive environment.
Great parking space available Great value for money and friendly staff
Small retail park which has an Aldi Supermarket, Home Bargains store, which had a cafe, and Wicks
Lots of places shut so plenty of space to park, but the units that remain are good. A few unsavoury characters lurking about...
Nice array of shops plenty of parking space a great local retail park.
Good choice of retailers. Traffic flow not great
Its been wonderful experience to be the part of this work place. Staff was very friendly and supportive . I enjoyed working there.
Nice place got what I wanted, but the building work has for moment restricted car parking
Everything you could want for your home, pets ,hobbies in one area only problem a few shops are not in use ( shame).
Best Bargain store in Oxford. Have huge collection of Home Decor and Food
Plenty of parking and great choice of shops
Carpark is too bumpy, needs sorting
Good shops there, not overcrowded. Well stocked.
Great selection of shops and services. Staff are admired
A few shops are no longer there but you can still get food and work tools
Nice bowls green, good viewing area, and a really nice club.
Many business are there Aldi food store Harvey carpet right DFS Carey's PC world and SHL Wicks not far from the city
It depends what you're after but spread over quite a large area there is a fair selection of retail outlets. Parking as plentiful and free.
I've used most of the shops here over the last few years. My last visit was to Currys PC World.
Very helpful staff.
Nice range of All different shops but would goggle check what your needs are before you just head off their.....
The Botley Rd retail park seems to be coming on. They are already building where all was torn down. Meanwhile the shops remaining are doing everything they can to serve their community!
Wicks great shop can almost always get what you want .Parking eazy. Breakfast cabin great.
Lots of the stores closed down not like
it use to be, Dunhelm still good
Capitalism & consumerism collide in a fairytale of tar McAdam & dying trees, with windswept Costa coffee mugs making it feel like the wild wild west Oxford......
Very cheap. Friendly staff. Shame the cafe does not do any gluten free
Good place got all the items in my shopping list
Great parking good shopping, go off peak as the traffic into Oxford will hold you up
Nice with lots of room to walk round. Good bargains
Love a little Sunday mooch around here. Plenty of parking
A lot shops always u find what you want and needs.
It's great the staff are so helpful when there not rushed of there feat. But they will help you if not they pass you to someone that can. Thankfully

Traffic makes it hard to access but parking is easy to find
Typical industrial and wholesale area.
Nothing to boast about if anything. Just mostly parking areas for cars and places of commercial enterprise.
Went to the B&M, this is massive, used to be to old toys r us
