Absolutely the heart of the city, so colourful, warm and friendly. Identifiable different cultures all working together under the same roof happy and safe - real people. Near this photo is a food outlet which serves fantastic coffee and the lovely lady there made me a special toasties - it was awesome. Thank you.

I've always used our market. It's struggled over the last few years and has been very badly let down by PCC Steve the Fruit and Veg man is where I get mine Top stall and a real fighter for Pbo market. I hope it's new location works for all concerned

Hardly anything open. The building is frankly horrible, dark and depressing and claustrophobic, needs a revamp to make it more inviting. The stall holder was however nice and cheerful.

Walked past it yesterday and it was looking dire. Only a handful of stalls still open and I'm sure they'll be moved on soon. Used to be a good place to pick up a bargain or get the little bits you needed. Get down there quick before it's turned into over priced flats 👍🏻

Peterborough market is a small and alley like bazaar. Plenty of fruit and veg among sweet stalls, clothes, electronics and shoe sellers. It's a nice visit. The surrounding area is undergoing significant regeneration which will probably lead to a growth in street food vendors and a secure area with a growing culture and vibe.

The market it self is scaled down now due to the virus, the few stalls that are left open are well kept and safe. For me still the best place to get my fresh, fish, meats, fruits and vegetables.

Average town market, while they had at least 3 or 4 stalls selling veg only one had fresh produce. Some very good fabric and clothing stalls though some market traders are slightly more pushy to sell than I would like.

In the Peterborough market, there's a place called a small world where I get all my Caribbean flavours, the staff is very helpful and understanding and the produce are fresh and up-to-date.

Typical town market spoiled by the lack of light. Some stalls are having to move due to a dangerous building opposite. Stallholders very friendly in general. Good selection of fruit and vegetables. Such a pity to see a market go into decline.

Plenty of bargains to be had, but badly in need of investment. I really love the market for fresh fruit and veg, but the cobbler is an institution, and there are plenty of other stalls selling a range of products. There's a solid meat and fish hall, and a good range of takeaway eateries as well. Is it all great? No. There's only a single food stall other than greengrocers. It's good, but I'd like to see more. Same with non-food household essentials such as toiletries. I'd also like to see more esoteric stalls Overall though, I'd like to see more investment in the fabric of the market. The interior is dingy and it's breezy in the winter, hence the score.

A huge variety of stalls here with electronics, fabrics, wallpaper, homeware, clothing, soft toys, electronic games, shoe repairs and an amazing food court. This offers great value-for-money on the high street - just wish they would invest some money and make it indoors, so it would be enjoyable to shop there all year round.

I go to a fruit and vegetables stall on Laxton square and the produce is of excellent quality all locally sourced. Run by a very helpful man who packs the bags and puts it in the car for me.

The Peterborough Market is a great place to browse, buy and eat. What I find great about it is that I get a personal service and the traders are all so friendly and helpful. Try the food stalls there as they serve a variety of food for lunch and snacks and they are delicious!

Most of the shops are still closed, you can find some vegetables and fruits, an if you are lucky, the guy who send 👖jeans can solve that even if customers are not being served because of the restrictions. 🤐

I like this market, there are some great stalls, however, there are a lot of closed stalls and the place could do with a bit of a refurb. Some of the highlights of the market are the retro video games stall, the cobblers stall, the haberdesherie, the amazing sweetie stall, the fruit and veg stall and the hardware stall. The market is all under a solid roof. The market is closed on Sunday and Monday.

I love going to the market during the week as the quality is superb and good for value. The freshness is obvious and considering the fact that packaging is minimal, using paper bags is better for the environment. My place to eat is Embe for delicious Caribbean food where Nick makes amazing vegan meals as well as meaty dishes. The vegan stalls that have opened are mind bogglingly fabulous. Bekindkitchen is vegan and omg I'm going through the menu one at a time 🍜🍵👀

Great little market with various stallholders plying their stock etc. For the ones that were open, the old fashion sweet stall brought back memories, and could easily walk away with a big jar of something!

The market seems to be losing stalls every visit we make. There is no longer a wide choice of items that you used to be able to get. It is a pity that it is in decline, and it would be a sad loss if we lose it. Yet another part of our heritage disappearing.

Stands include good fresh fruit and vegetables, discount clothing, tools, European food, fabric, cards and wrapping, pet food and supplies, coffee hut with outdoor seating, and sit down inside café. Parking right next door in Market Multi story car park. Plus tesco large store and Wilkinsons opposite so well worth stopping here for shopping trips. Bus stop within a few.minutes walk. Aisles wide enough to be accessible on a mobility scooter or wheelchair and all on one level. Accessible toilet not usually locked on radar key next door too, plus other toilets.

Excellent place, fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes, cloth, lock smith, sweet shop, cafe and lots of other bits and pieces all for a good price. Stall owners are friendly and it's a nice place to shop.

The market has been an integral part of City life. Not sure where it will be located after demolition of multi storey car park and market. It is adjacent to a disused building (old Courthouse) - is that being demolished or reinstated for Community use? It is an eyesore but probably an asset to someone who purchased the freehold at knockdown price. Could be a purchase Mike Greene is attempting to acquire for 'redevelpment' of expensive City centre accommodation?? Only speculating on what goes on behind closed doors regarding 'investment' for the benefit of the few not the many.
