The Orton gate shopping centre offers a good selection of shops that are located around a large carpark. The is a large number of disabled parking bays. The surface and pavement leading to the shops was a good quality making wheelchair access good. There is also two Engenie Car chargers on site.

As with other shopping centres the Ortongate is useful, helpful and fairly clean, with some adequate shops. Not too expensive with a good car park. QD cafe is really nice and it seems to have been updated, the staff in there are very helpful. Could do with one or two different shops too.

It was a pretty standard place. I went there for one specific item which I found in the shop I wanted to go into b&m. There isn’t a wide range of shops. But it’s adequate depending on what you’re out for.

Popped into QD cafe . Latte , carton of good quality juice , cake and a muffin just over £7 ! I thought this was good value tbh n very tasty . You should try snacking or eating a meal here, I have had some tasty homemade meals at decent prices

Love coming here. Its a nice walk to the shops. Sue Ryder, YMCA, Wilko's, Co-op, QD, B&M, Iceland, Card Factory, Dinermite and GREGGS!! it's always nice to go down to browse and have a coffee and a sausage roll from greggs. The kids love to head to the library too while we are there! Always a nice afternoon here!

This has improved greatly over the last few years and now has lots of shops. Free parking, a wilco, QD, co-op, bakery, chemist and a few others. Much better than going into town. I was able to get everything I went for.

Not a bad little shopping centre, the only thing missing is either a bank or building society and bring back the post office, to make life easier. New editions to the centre are a hair salon, fitness centre, YMCA charity shop and 2 new coffee shops, with one that has a little soft play area, and that is located in the main square of the complex opposite Wilko store. Things are starting to look up at the centre.

I did not go to visit the shopping centre, my visit was to the Willow Tree surgery. The taxi found the surgery difficult to locate, and he ran late for his next fare, a school run. The surgery was well appointed, I was sent by my surgery on Thorpe Road for a yearly physical checkup. The staff are very pleasant, and my experience of the surgery was good.

The price may be a little high, bit it's still a really good store for any hot or cold food or a quick snack if you're in a rush 😅.I personally think the food and drink is very high quality and money well spent. So I highly recommend coming here if you can't be bothered to walk to b&m. Also the staff are very kind, cheerful and helpful, they pretty much know exactly where any product is in any isle. I hope I've helped some people. You're welcome 😁☺️

Just moved to the area, big open space and some very handy shops that will sell almost anything. Ample parking with a carwash too and electrical car parking. It could do with more shops and maybe a post office. Lots of empty outlets yet to be occupied one day.

This once rundown centre has been much improved recently with the introduction of a good range of good value food and household stores including QD, B&M, Willow, Iceland Food Supermarket, Coop and a Greggs. Plenty of free parking and easily accessible from town or motorway. The centre also has visible security and a couple of EV charge points.

Is okay for food shopping, they got wilko, Co-ops, grecs,warehouse food, a hairdresser, some food places a gym, and a B&Q among others. Is good if you live locally or you passing by, but I wouldn't come here if not. All the shops are places outside is not a indoor shops just a roof over the gym side and that's it. Hope that help you.

Orton Gate shopping centre is a good retail park with several well known stores I visited QD which is really good well stocked helpful staff and very busy and I also went to B and M once again well stocked well laid out helpful staff and friendly orton gate is well worth a visit

Excellent place to stop and charge with Instavolt or Osprey chargers, 4 in total. Sadly, Instavolt pricing is now 40p per kWh, Osprey still 36p. Didn't see any loos though.

Great range of shops, places to eat and drink. Wide selection of goods for sale for the home and garden, clothing, food shops,pharmacy,newsagents, estate agent and more. Free unlimited parking. You can even get your car cleaned whilst you shop!

It's OK, but not as good as back in the late 70's when it opened. There were 4 banks there now there's 0 Shoe shop now a bit in QD or charity shop, newsagent, post office, now nothing! It's OK for B&M, WILKO'S, QD & cafe, LLOYD'S PHARMACY ICELAND WAREHOUSE & CARD FACTORY, I DON'T LIKE CO-OP as they closed up in the 90's leaving Orton centre without a supermarket so I boycott them!

This place was a lovely little shopping center in the 1990's but it was almost completely dead in the late 2000's. I'm pleased to say it is starting to revive. A host of new shops are opening. Unfortunately these are mostly large chains and franchises. Hopefully some small independent stores will come back. Feels a lot safer than it was hopefully will give a 5 in a year or two.

It's not too bad for a local shopping centre. Unfortunately there are still quite a few empty buildings. Since it has been revamped, we have been luck to have an Iceland warehouse pen up, along with The Card Factory and B& M bargains. QD & Wilkinsons are still there too. There needs to be more incentive for shops to want to open up new branches here as there are still too many remaining empty, which doesn't encourage many outside the area to visit. All in all, its definitely a 100% better area now it's been revamped compared to when I first moved to the area over 15 years ago.

It has many shops like B&M, card factory, Iceland, co op. QD. Shops like Wilko , Greggs at the back. It has a car hand wash with vacuum also at the corner. This shops have some really good discounts many times. There is also a ATM machine which charges a minimum of 95 p for a transaction. Huge car park is there for the customers.

Loved the Orton Centre today and my favourite shops : Wilko, Gregg's and QD. Each of these shops provide a range of things to buy ranging from food to home. Car parking is free in front of the CO-OP and there is also disabled parking outside CO-OP. Every shop also has disabled access. It's a lovely place to bring children to do shopping 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Always clean & tidy but security needs to keep a better eye on kids. Kids being abusive to adults - completely foul mouthed abuse on one occasion on another kids in flower beds throwing stones for good 30 - 40 mins barely missing passes by etc. Not good enough security should be parolling the whole centre regularly not spending huge chunks of time in one place.

Come here quite a bit to buy the odd item. Mainly use this place for QD, B&M, Wilko and Iceland. Parking is always ample even during busy times. Good entry and exits so never large queues getting in or out of the car park.

Good shopping centre, with the addition of B&M and the food giant by iceland. Choice is good. Drive thru Starbucks with slow service. Newsagents, co-op and car wash. Now with added funeral parlour. I'd personally avoid BJs plaice as not sure what they do with there chips! Overall you can get everything you need, new shops have bought a lot of trade to the area. Avoid Gregg's if you want to get a hot sausage roll and served.

The centre has improved a lot in the last year or two and has now become a convenient place for your essentials: Co-op, QD, B&M, Iceland, Greggs, takeaway open at lunch, Sue Ryder, Starbucks, library, dentist, doctor, Bushfield Sport centre, playground.... For me it's a perfect place to pop into but I never spend more than an hour there (unless I have to wait for my coffee at Starbucks 😊). I'm guessing it mostly attracts locals or people who work nearby.

I have been going here for more than 30 years. It was great to start with then time and the country's depression took its toll. Ortongate has been going through a lot of changes recently and now has some great shops including QD, ICELAND WAREHOUSE, CO-OP, WILKO, GREGGS and B & M (opened yesterday). At last it is being brought up to date and gives a pleasant shopping experience.

There is a Wilkinson's, QD, CO-OP and Greggs. There is some outside seating as well as trees and a good library and bookable Astronomy Turf Pitch which has spotlights for evenings. There are also toilets that are open in the day. A bus service also serves near the handy chip shop and there is ample parking and a petrol station as well.

The recent multi million pound regeneration has improved the appearance of the Orton Centre greatly, and the now constant presence of security guards has helped to remove most of the antisocial characters that used to frequent the place. The choice of shops, sadly, is still dire - the complex is made up predominantly of empty units. For local people, who are already aware of everything I've just said, it's useful having Wilko, Lloyds pharmacy and the co-op nearby, but for visitors I would certainly not recommend this place. That said, the chips from BJ's Place are arguably worth the trip alone.

Over the last year the centre has added a drive thru Starbucks, Iceland Warehouse and a B&Ms not to mention the most recent addition of a new members only gym... so not all bad. Card Factory set to come in the near future... Peacocks retail store have pulled out however....Wilkos, Greggs, the Lloyds Pharmacist, JGs Burger and Pizza , Co-Op funeral directors, QDStores and CoOp supermarket are doing fine tho, although McColls handy Post-office is having to shut its service throughout UK - maybe it’s new rent negotiations can appease their landlord ...
