Fabulous little shopping opportunity within one street close to co-op and bus root.
You have cafe, barber's, takeaways, charity shops etc etc and one of the few places you actually find a bank these days. Parking can be difficult as its a popular shopping destination amd a plesent onw at that.

I like the Ridgeway, my local shops. I got 2 really nice jigsaws in a charity shop and my newspaper from Co-op. I usually walk there or bus. Really good card shop, I always get what I need. Some nice cafes and bakeries and with Boots and Superdrug I don't need to go into Plymouth City Centre.

An excellent shopping experience, something for everyone. Mostly small independents with a few high street names like Boots and Peacocks. Excellent small cafes with Jasmin's offering excellent locally sourced breakfast to JD Weatherspoon and Finla coffee who specialise in out doing Costa on the taste test. Really worth a visit and highly recommend. Stay away from the excellent bespoke jewellers and workshop, they cost me a small fortune.

Ridgeway... What a useful local place to pop into if you need a few things... Free, convenient parking at both ends of Ridgeway, means easy access to this lively old village hub of Plympton. Whether your visiting for food shopping in Plymco, Iceland or visiting one of the many other friendly traders there's something for everyone... Need a key cut, haircut, chemist's or a quick look in a charity shop? it's all there. There's a fish n chip shop, camera /printing shop, health food shop, greetings card outlet, computer fixing and accessories shop and if you fancy coffee or a meal there's a weatherspoons too, plus two pubs.
The friendly butchers shop recently closed but there's a new delicatessen just opened up at the top near the Indian restaurant and a fresh veg selling greencrocers. There's a laundrette, pet food store, flower shop and a Peacocks clothing store plus two hairdressers, including Hair by Andrew, all well worth a visit.... The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony was opened by Plymouth Lady Mayoress last year and was well attended with live music, a talent show plus many local booths with local products, crafts and artisans. There was even Caribbean food for those who like to spice things up a bit.

The Ridgeway has the potential to be a really appealing destination, but it needs some nicer shops. Lacking in nice bars and restaurants. It's ok for getting basic items

A local shoppers paradise, Unfortunately like most village shopping area's a lot of store's have closed but the top half of town do seem to be shops furnished, what they are likely to be I can not say at the moment. The village does have a Witherspoon's.
