Reviews of Reading Gate Retail Park

You need wood, a TV, a carpet, sushi, and a lukewarm burger (coupled with the moisture gathered from a bloke standing so close to you in the queue you can taste his hair) then this is the one stop park for you. Make your trip extra exciting my entering the place on the stadium side through the 5.5 ft wide bollards in your 5ft wide car.
L. S. (.
Good little retail park. Plenty of parking. Would be great for some more shops like b&m 😅
c. m.
Not to many things to do in the Retail Park. Curry's is always out of stock, no products in showroom. TKMax is almost useless, same thing all time. Smiths is a last minute ideea for kids present in case you had no time for Amazon. Luckily there is KFC and McD in this park, otherwise it was closed long time ago....
J. K.
Went there to visit Itsu. Car park busy with a car Rally. Which was great fun. Had a good time.
S. H.
Most come here for a purpose. B&Q. Toy shop or furniture stores. It's a retail park easily accessible from the motorway. Could use a bit more variety.
K. T.
Has loads here from pc world Smyth's for the kids KFC or McDonald's Costa carpet right and B&Q
C. “. W.
Good range of shops and retail outlets. Absolutely massive B&Q store. Very easy to get to.
V. T.
Great parking space.
Big B&Q shop, Macdonalds, KFC (not halal), Costa, TKmax and many other shops around
A. M.
Some empty units, but has massive B&Q warehouse store, with usefully knowledgeable staff.
c. w.
Great shopping but get there early parking can be tight
M. D.
Easily in the top 5 gate themed retail parks in the Reading area.
My dreams came true here.
R. H.
You've obviously come here for a reason and if it's for any of the shops there then it's really good for whatever you need, I came here for Smyths Toys and got what I was going there for and popped in for a cheeky maccies, nice experience, traffic was busy getting in but was fine when leaving!
S. S.
Many shops and food outlets, plenty of parking, easy to get to plus it is next to Majeski football stadium and it is easy to drive to
C. H.
Plenty of parking for free. Easy to access. Quite pleasant walk round the adjacent Green Park.
s. w.
The park is located close to junction 11 of the M4, off the A33 Reading Relief Road, directly in front of the Madejski Stadium.
B&Q, kfc, Macdonald, toysrus, Curry's ,TK Maxx ect
O.
Lots of shopping to be done with a good variety of different places to eat and shop!
W. B.
Easy to park. All shops have antibac in doorway. Staff are friendly and helpful.
M. Y.
It had the shop i wanted to visit so yeah it was great it also has a KFC there bonus
A. P.
Busy as hell! MC Donald's creates such a back log to get in the car park. People just everywhere!
A. G.
Only went to B&Q (which was fine), so can't really judge a whole retail park
P. 2.
Nice and you can find everything you need and parking as well.
D. M.
Always what I expect, I go to retail parks wanting something in particular and as long as staff are pleasant and helpful then it's all good as parking is easy and you can always park close to the outlet you are visiting which as a blue badge holder is essential for me. Happy shopping!!
V. P.
Good shopping place.. it has tkmaxx, smyths and couple of restaurants
B. F.
If you need any of the shops that are here then they are all on the large sizewhich is good. Other than that bog standard.
S. V.
Under £1 shop, Aldi, wine shop, the range...come with £££ and you will find everything you need here. Plenty of free parking spaces (2 hrs max)
A. L. &. S. M. D.
Parking was easy and all shops open.
L. B.
We only went to the B&Q. It's a fairly standard shopping complex. There's ample parking and an array of shops. There's another complex not too far away and three road network is conveniently located for access to the M4.
A. P.
Good amount of shops and eateries. Has a Curry's PC World mega store. Costa is a bit small. Good disabled access.
H. S.
Came here for McDonald's which is open 24 hours....which is nice
S. C.
Great parking visit the shops there
D. B.
Lots of parking with leading high street stores
S. W.
Don't go when it's busy particularly at weekends and bank holidays. The car park layout and positioning of the fast food drive-through restaurants are very badly thought out and it's terrible to get in and out. They really need to close the car parking spaces just off the internal roundabout as getting in/out of these holds everything up. The owners of this retail park need to spend some time looking at what happens when it's busy. Just getting rid of a few spaces could make quite a difference. The shops/restaurants themselves are fine but it's a frustrating place to go at busy times - AVOID!!!
M. W.
Reasonably good choice of shops. But you must avoid on match day as adjoining stadium traffic and sheer volume of people makes arriving and departing a total nightmare. Needs proper trafgic control on match days.
A. H.
Short visit for coffee but easy parking and easy access
R. A.
Went there a few times...prefer reading oracle or broad street mall really.
A. R.
There's a small Costa here, quite a large Smyths toyshop, a new Itzsu restaurant, huge B&Q, TK Maxx, a carpet shop I think too. Also a McDonalds with a restaurant and Drive Thru and a KFC with a restaurant and a Drive Thru. Free onsite parking.
G. D.
Nice range of shops, kids loved the toys shop.
S. R.
This retail park has almost all the different items a family is looking for and had a decent parking spaces. Shops have good amount of stocks so happy to recommend to all.
S. H.
Good parking and choice of fast food
T. D.
went to pet at home, plenty of space ob Sunday
R. J.
Easy parking, not too busy
N. T.
Amazing how long people will queue for a McDonald's
D. L.
Ample parking, good choice of shops as well. Next to it is a petrol station and a place where you can have your car washed.
A. G.
Lots of car park. Else bus 600 stops opp to this. Big showrooms - TK max, B&Q, Smyths.. then burger options like McDonald's and coffee were there too.
A. S.
Great place!
Love that I was able to park close to Costa and that there were plenty of parking spaces.
Lots of great shops too!
T. W.
Plenty of shops to choose always plenty of parking spaces
R. T.
Great location. Several places to eat on the same site. Friendly welcome and all the comforts you expect from a Premier Inn.
S. M.
Like going to the shops here TK Maxx, Currys B&Q also smyths toy store. All good for popping in and put.Always busy in December.
E.
Had what we needed easy to park
B. G.
Parking isn't particularly comfortable during busy times in this park.
D. C.
I go more or less weekly to B&Q there, one of their largest stores, good stock levels, friendly helpful staff. Traffic can be a problem especially if there are problems on the M4 or there is a match on at the stadium behind
D. S.
It's OK but would not call it a shopping centre.
G.
Shopping fast food parking with disabled access
W. B.
Nice big outlets. Plenty parking spaces. Not the best access/exit system for driving and can be quite tight and close to other cars whilst manoeuvring through.
J.
Ok retail park.
Large car park and selection of shops.
N. N.
Gets busier and traffic should be managed
M. H.
Good selection of shops ample parking and away from the heavily restricted town centre. New restuarants added
R. A.
Wasn't an experience couldn't understand what the person behind counter was saying
A.
Needed a tumble dryer there and then as mine had gone 💥 during the day, after a painful wait and ending up having to hunt out a staff member in curry's to get a tumble dryer. Got one after a much convoluted registration process until I could walk out with it. The evenings due to Reading gate having a KFC and McDonald's is full of kids in their cars driving like Lewis Hamilton (accidents sometimes included)
G. P.
Have been here several times B&Q, Currys etc. Not sure why i was here on this occasion
M. J.
It's OK. A place to leave your cars whilst you shop. Good McDs there.
S. P.
Lots of shops but small car park
R. T.
The pizza hut isn't there any more. Which is a shame. Can you blame the retail park, I don't know but someone needs to be held accountable as I wasted petrol.
F. F.
Everything you need, cyou can find it in there... 😊 💪
A. H.
Parking very good at around 17.00 Hrs .Staff went over and above to locate a part I needed. Good service.
l. a.
Very busy on this occasion with the rain falling down so what better way to while away an afternoon than with retail therapy, with a good selection of outlets and eateries
S. E.
Great shops from DIY to Toyshops, and a good choice of places to eat everything you need in one retail park. Good parking, disabled and child friendly!
I. T.
Plenty of parking, good choice of retail stores and fast food outlets.
H. W.
A good range of shops including Curry's, Smiths toys and T.K Max. It's easy to access nit far from the M4 and only 10 minutes out from Reading.
K. C.
Huge queues to get out of the car park
R. H.
Good parking, some good fast food places. Easily accessible from the M4.
Big PC world and massive B&Q
J. S.
Only went to Smyth's toys to swap a broken birthday present. Ready to find, park and sorted. No problems. Parking spaces decent size.
K. T.
Good choice of shops, McDonald's drive through and restaurant, kfc drive through and restaurant, itsu restaurant B&Q, pc world, TK max, smithes toys and carpet world, good free parking including disabled, easy access to all shops
M. G.
If you enjoy a good 20 minutes sitting in your car trying to get out of a car park this is the place for you! Park by PC world and use the exit round the corner for a quick(er) escape.
G. M.
Fine, obviously you only go to a retail park if you want to avail yourself of the retail outlets it offers, but with that in mind this is a reasonable place. Plenty of parking and not too bad for accessing from the road (though there's a one way system on the road immediately outside which can add to your journey). I use B&Q here regularly and am always happy to visit.
A. B.
Good parking. B&Q is the store that I find most usef
C. D.
The layout is awful. When the drive thrus are busy it's hard to manoeuvre in your car the tarmac and potholes by the roundabout at horrid, could do damage to someone's car
E. F.
Ample parking space. And many stores for many needs, almost all the needs. It's got KFC with a drive-thru and Pizza Hut as well. So, you won't be left hungry.
J. C. (.
A little bit of everything. Can get busy at times. Drive thru slows downs roundabout and parking . Moves quick enough
S. S.
It is a small but good retail park with some good stores like B&Q, Currys etc and McDonald's , pizza hut, kfc, Costa. Is very near to the M4 motorway junction 11.
D. R.
Entry from the main road is easy enough but then you are confronted with a suicide roundabout protected by fierce speed humps. There is just to much traffic moving in a small area & with the Costa Coffee shop on the roundabout there is more pedestrians as well
I think if the food outlets were positioned at the ends of the parking area access would be much easier
D. S.
At weekends there are usually long queues to get into and out of car park, McDonald's drive thru needed to be planned better.
O. 2.
Great good and cheap shops
R. P.
Access is easy to site. The side with Currys & Smyrhs gets crowded during the weekends. The McDonalds can cause problems during lunch time because of access.
d. m.
Many big stores with ample of parking.
V. K.
Nice place for a quick buy
O. S.
Came here alot during covid restrictions as it was local... Couldn't fault it can get everything tue need within the few shop s there... Aldi for food shopping, mext ddor for some wine... The Range to get few bits bits for the housr... TGI Fridays for a rack of rubs... Delicious...
Also all staff keeping to the rules and still providing great service...
L.
Pretty standard shipping center but did the job
J. C.
Everything you need in one place but would recommend checking on line prior to purchasing to check stock as not always available in store to take away . Hence one star less than perfect
S.
It's a typical retail park... Loads of stores, fast food and tight parking... Mid week is OK, but weekends it gets very busy and parking is difficult. With only one entrance and exit onto the A33, queues are to be expected.
A. F.
Good quality stores and ample parking, could do wih more pedestrian and cycle friendly facilities
C. G.
Decent shopping park, a fair few stores and some fast food outlets and a coffee shop if needed. The parking is awful and gets very busy on match days, plus the general traffic flow is very bad so it gets clogged quickly. Walk here if you can.
R. C.
All you could want in a retail park really. Shops. Food. And a nice walk around Green Park if you wanna get your steps up.
B. s. S.
Great place for family with foods (McDonald, KFC, ITSU and Costa. For children, it has Symths toys. Must go.
A. B.
If you're looking for a cheeky back way in and out, there's a way into the car park that comes out by Currys. Can also be used to avoid the usual queues when it comes time to leave.
If you're coming from the M4 direction, hook a left at the roundabout when you can see Maccas and Currys, then take the first turning on your right.
Warning: It's quite narrow. If you're in a large 4x4 or a wide sports car, then you're out of luck I'm afraid.
R. C.
Very useful for fast food and the purchased of materials from B&q. Parking always available
D. A.
5 star's
7.
Big parking , clothes to shops and restaurants so you don't have to worry about space to park
A. W.
I used to only come here for B&Q, but McD seems to be the place I end up these days, must get round to finishing the kitchen!
A. C.
Went to B&Q to buy bathroom fittings early afternoon midweek. Only had to queue around 5 minutes. Lots of FREE car parking.
R. S.
B&Q, currys, smyths toys, costa, McD, KFC and Itsu now summer 2021. Inthe shadow of Madjeski stadium.. Loads of parking
J. H.
It's OK here. Not the greatest layout in terms of its car parking. McDonald's and B&Q seem to take the prime spots. I don't think many people realise there is a KFC and Pizza Hut here. The other shops are a little tucked away I find. I didn't even know there was an Oak Furniture Land here.
T. T.
Good for a quick stop at B&Q, Smyths, Curry’s etc.
For more info, photos and videos on Saudi dinning and lifestyle go follow @thisismysaudi on Instagram 😊
D. S.
Friendly & got what we wanted,
good choice.
s. s.
B&Q is big and had good stock. The lady at the till was very observant and looked after us with speed and efficiency. Her name was. Dawn-D.
E. T.
Go when i have to, has some good big stores. Parking can be a pain as the spaces are small and it is usually packed. What really annoys me is they decided to create a blind spot by putting a bush in the way when you try and leave B&Q for the roundabout. I'm surprised there have not been a lot more accidents as you cannot see round the corner at all there thus have to pull out slowly into the oncoming roundabout traffic.
B. F.
Nice place to shop. It has a very good wine selection and the deli section is marvelous. We're happy and glad to have this store around our area.
S. W.
Just like going into B&M you get some brand names items cheaper than your main shops well worth a visit
K. G.
Visited on a Saturday and a lot of car congestion entering and exiting the carpark. Otherwise great way to access some big stores like Curry's and B&Q.
Y. A.
Went to currys, there was a good range of products that were not available at my local currys. Worth a visit.
D. L.
Good shop lots of choice
L. N.
Found a lot of useful presents for Christmas within the retail park's shops
M. S.
Thay have Mc Donald there people queue back to the roundabout and half the time it's just to dangerous to go in Reading gate thay must lose a lot of customers
B. O.
Nice big shops at this retail park mean it's a good place to go when you need a good selection. Found the TK Maxx quite good and the selection in Curry's also particularly good. It's so useful it's open until 8pm so can visit after work when need to buy something.
R. H.
REALY nice place to go to in general, has all sorts of shops including gift shops and home bargains you'll be surprised what you can find in thier also there is a MacDonalds THE car shows at night are amazing the line ups can blow your mind at times
A. L.
A retail park just off the A33 accessible only from the North bound direction. When you enter you can turn either turn left to find McDonald's and most retail stores of right for. B&Q, Pizza hut and KFC. Car parking on left hand side is always busy with motorists always trying to park as close as possible to McDonald's and retail stores. Plenty of parking near B&Q if you don't mind stretching your legs. Car parking is free though it's private land and owners don't want visitors to football/Rugby matches parking there as its less space for customers.
N. C.
Carpark is not the easiest to navigate especially if fast food places are busy it blocks everything up
R. B.
Its OK, the staff in the shops are generally helpful though the shops themselves are so so. The biggest problem can be getting out of the place as there are either jams or non-stop fast flowing traffic on the A33 that creates tail-backs in the car parks, particularly at B&Q.
T. F. W.
Great bit run down
e.
The reason why I waited this does it because the parking space has too many disabled spaces I know that there are many disabled people at their ready to go to certain shops but please make at least disabled spaces because the disabled parking is too big also is very good because your next your car is next to shop
S. C.
Painful entrance and exit... Planners should have been sacked as this is a major issue here. Shops are good with several quick food outlets. Good for getting on and off of M4. Straight route to town if you need.
D.
This cark park is free and has lots of parking and it is clean however it can become busy.
h. w.
Ordered a click and collect .went to collect and my item wasn't ready so I sat back in the car .then all of a sudden tap on the window .a lovely young man had brought my purchase to the car .lovely and unexpected
E. g.
Loads of good shops, car park can get very hectic and busy.
J. W.
There's a few different stops here, b and q, currys, tk maxx etc. Parking can be a bit of a pain at busy times but there's usually a space somewhere. A couple of food places and a Costa. It's a retail park... The road leading up to it has been very busy recently due to roadworks and also people avoiding the motorway reduced speed limit. It is situated on a main through road.
A. A.
Good place for shopping with big brands.TkMaxx,SMYTH Toys,Costa,B&Q
J. H.
A retail park, with a large B&Q.
Parking can be a night mare if busy, the spaces are small so expect dings in your car doors. It's better to park on B&Q side and walk to the other shops.
R. D.
B&Q is a great store with lots of amazing products. Shame about the Mary Celeste ambiance. Virtually no staff on the shop floor at six-seven pm. Took me ages to find what I wanted just because there was no one to ask. And all I wanted was a cylindrical tubular latch... Not good enough.
T. F.
A good selection of goods but sadly no discount for the trade unless you send over £250 which I feel is slightly unfair
A. M.
Excellent retail park but the circulation can be improved: B&Q, Tkmax, Curry's, Pizza Hut, Costa, McDonalds... Really good selection of stores there.
Traffic a bit crazy on match days as the stadium is just behind.
J. H.
B&Q and TKMAX perfect man shop
m. r.
A selection of big stores, B & Q, Curry's. If you're feeling peckish, there's food outlets, to cater for your taste buds. Namely, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Costa coffee.
D. A.
Shops that I often visit here are Smyth toys and TK Maxx,
B. T.
Plenty of parking. Staff asking to direct you to help which is useful. Easy to find what you need
b. s.
Shops are alright but avoid this place on a Saturday. The parking lay out is terrible. It could easily take you up to 20 minutes just to leave the place
D. m.
Quick visit so didn't explore. What I saw was useful shops and plenty of parking spaces. Bonus was the Costa coffee and yes of course we went for coffee.
S. B.
Smyths.b&q.kfc.mc donalds.currys.carpet shops.all you need.
C. K.
Very helpful with a selection of a few retail shops that I often frequent.
C. H.
Typical retail park with big stores. Weekends get very busy. I would checking the sporting event timetable of the adjacent Madejsky stadium to avoid the traffic queues on match days.
V. D.
Only down side was the queue of cars going into the fast food drive through obstructing other retail park users
a. s.
It's the best toy shop I know
S. S.
3 fast food restaurants and a small selection of the big stores you get in a small retail park like this. It's well situated from the M4 and has plenty of parking.
M. P.
Not bad
P. W.
Lots of parking spaces
C. L.
Has TK Max, Costa, B&Q, Pizza Hut and a toys' store so not many shops. The parking can occasionally be a problem as well as the traffic in particular when Reading FC is playing.
N. F.
Nothing special about the place other thn giant stores for PC World, TX max, Smyths & B&Q.
Additionally, there is KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa & 24h Mc Donalds & loads & loads of free parkings.
G. B.
Big q outside B & Queue.
Nowhere to sit down and eat outside the fast food outlets.
Costa coffee shut at 4pm.
J. K.
There's everything that you would want to find here good place to get a coffee and something to eat
J. C. D. V.
Church Meadows Park in Caversham is a beautiful place, where you can find peace and enjoy of a lovely walk.
A. C. G.
Its a site to visit with various shops but a nightmare to get into the car park. McDonalds drive through cause the traffic problems when trying to get into the site. Avoid the area at weekends.
R. Y.
Excellent range of stores and lots of parking. Highly recommended...
A. L.
Popular with my daughter- toys and cakes, what could be better! Loads of parking but can be a pin to get out as the A33 gets busy
N. D.
B & q what more could you need 👍👍
C. A.
Ok, a group if businesses in a small retail park. Convenient if you are going shopping at one of the nearby supermarkets to drop in at one of the shops in this small strip mall
D. S.
Good mix of shops from electronics to clothing, DIY to furniture. Free parking and fairly easy to get to except when it's rush hour or a football match day.
T. G.
Great variety and loads of parking spaces. Some of the parking lanes were a bit narrow for two vehicles to pass comfortably though.
B. L.
Retail park with Curry's, B&Q, TK Maxx and a few others. Do not even ATTEMPT coming here on a match day as its located right next to Majeski Stadium. If you do, get ready to avoid pedestrian Reading fans walking out in front of you with out looking and playing hunt the parking space.
c. t.
TKMax selection of quality value for money clothes shoes has dropped to an all time low: absolute rubbish. 1 out of 10 visit will result in a single purchase if I'm lucky!
M. A.
Great place to shop with a big B&Q store and a TKMaxx store too. If you're hungry, there a good pizza hut here too. It is right next to the Madjeski stadium and close to the M4 junction 11.
C. S.
Great parking for access to stores with alternative exit points which ease congestion. Lovely Costa coffee for that much needed break between shopping.
D.
Great shopping centre with a lot of great shops including B&Q, TKMAX and Curry's, also has some fast food places which include, McDonald's and KFC, really has everything you might need with lots of parking to boot.
J.
There are good shops here but the parking can be a hot mess depending on what time of day and day of the week it is.
P. G.
Standard retail pork, nothing special. There's a KFC, McDs, and a Pizza Hut.
Gets very busy during the weekend and on Bank Holidays owing to the B and Q here. Also be aware that it can get stupidly busy on match days as it is right next to the stadium. Definitely avoid on match days.
There's also a back entrance to the car park on the roundabout if you head towards the Costco side.
M. H.
The staff, did a great job, with the high demand. Unfortunately they was not serving milkshakes. But apart from that, I was surprised, how fast they was serving. On a reduced staff.
A. B.
Peak times are very busy and getting in/parked/out can take a little while. If you need these shops though, it's the best place locally.
A. U.
Nice little standard shopping area.
J.
Good retail park, only negative thing is the massive drive through queue for Macky’s that causes traffic right back to the main road
d. r.
Very nice
K. O.
I go here for Matalan and home bargain
C. M.
Great selection of shops and plenty of free parking. Try to avoid days/times when Reading football club are playing as it gets very busy
S.
This is a great retail park for being able to buy clothes, frozen foods, gift ideas, household goods, find the odd bargain and there is even a furniture showroom too!
The carpark can get very busy at popular shopping times, midmorning etc, but you can still usually find a space.
Matalan is located here, as is Iceland Warehouse, (don't be put off by the name, it's just a big Iceland), Home Bargains, Poundworld.
There is a BP fuel station just before you enter this retail park which also has a popular hand car wash just outside of it.
The retail park is roughly a ten minute drive away from the M4 motorway, and there are two further retail parks within that same area, where you will find the likes of: B&Q, Smyth's Toys, Toys R Us, Curry's PC World, Costa Coffee, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, KFC, Reading FC Stadium, Morrison's, (including fuel station),BM Retail, Subway, Napkin Electronics, Kwik Fit, Makro Wholesale, SeeWoo Chinese Supermarket (RG2 OJT).
Reading town centre is also approximately a ten minute drive away too.
L. N.
Nice little shopping Centre.
M. E.
Large retail park with a large b +q, curry's, Smyths toys, t k maxx, McDonald's, pizza hut, and kfc. The car park is large but it can get busy especially on match days, access into the retail park can get heavily congested and exiting also. There is a weird roundabout with speed bumps and keep clear zones which most drivers ignore so it can be difficult to turn towards b+q or just leave the retail park. It's sometimes better to park near the kfc/pizza hut as this exit takes you almost onto the exit but if it gets busy then it's just a nightmare.
R. S.
Shopped at Curry's for steam iron. Items were located on first floor. Only two staff covering the whole floor and both were busy with other customers. Despite tannoy for staff to go upstairs no one turned up. Served 20 minutes later when.one of two staff became free.
L. A.
Super busy but large car park so managed to get a spot. Free parking which is always a bonus.
N. W.
Good range of stores from homewares to sofas, to Hobbycraft. McDonald's for food and also the only public restrooms I could find. Good parking. Stores kept clean and tidy with pleasant, friendly staff.
G. D.
Best retail in Reading just 5 min from M4 100 of places to park, ATM and Costa Coffee shop as well, 5 min from there Costco IF you are a member.
P. p. (. L. U. F. F.
Long queues but hey its post Corona bank holiday
W. W.
Main shopping complex near Madjeski Stadium.
Don't try to park here while you go to a match, the traffic wardens are plentiful and ruthless.
A very big B&Q with thousands of products for home users and merchants alike.
A Smyth's toyshop that sells Funko pop vinyls.
A PC world with a large selection of PC's, Laptops, Mac's and other home electronics.
A McDonald's, KFC, and a Pizza Hut.
A few other shops too.
Parking is plentiful, but does get very busy at times.
Ingress and egress via two routes. The main one can get congested while the back one is usually quieter (side road taking you to the Stadium) but has a width restriction enforced with bollards.
N. “. S.
It's not shopping on the cheap, (no aldi/lidl) but a decent mix of stores like Smyths Toys, B&Q, TK Maxx etc means it's fairly one stopping at weekends!
P. B.
Nice and clean parkway, 1 start down for small circuit bound. Close Mcdonald and pizza hut KFC and bnq
S. C.
I visited smyths toy store... what fantastic service form the shop assistant that helped me find what I was looking for and the security guard on the door that helped me to my car with my shopping... I hope that smyths are proud of there staff for making an enjoyable shopping experience
M. K.
B and Q was a very quick stop plenty of parking at this site although is always busy with PC World and other stores
G. V.
Very good for a great shopping experience Clean and
M. E.
Lovely retail park, lots of shops.. Curry's pc world was very dissapointing after a nearly 3 hour wait.
D. I.
Great Retail Park with various places to eat massive B&Q and Smyths Toys superstore has got a KFC Pizza Hut and McDonald's is Reading Gate retail park read this please can we have a Smyths Toy superstore in Bracknell and a B&Q there's lots of opportunity here in our newly refurbished town centre
s. c.
Pretty standard. Very busy car park. Accessible from M4. Large B&Q. Like TK MAXX. Useful for electronic essentials at Curry's.
K. D.
Traffic issues otherwise ok. Reading council need to sort there act out. Deliberately introduce traffic creating measures by removing layby for bus stops and introducing stupidly timed lights like the ones on Shinfield road.
D. b.
None of the shops change very often which must mean business is good, tidy retail park and well maintained
A. L. m.
Few outlets here, with long queues to Mac donald and KFC, but the rest is fine enough parking spaces too
J. A. B.
Plenty of parking. A bit busy around the entrance - they really should improve the access. Went to B&Q. Got what I needed. Very helpful staff.
E. C.
Love to visit smyths but my god I wish they would remove the harsh speed bumps and the narrow entrance and exit at the side of currys. Only down fall
T. C.
Good place to visit for a wide range of stores and places to eat but on the weekends or public holidays it can be very congested and there may be little parking avaliable.
A. R.
Very good retail park with lots of stores. Tkmax etc
P. D.
So many good shops in that area.
M. B.
A good retail park.
J. D.
Good shops and places to eat, parking is a fun game there though..
S. 0.
Very good
G. F.
Lots of shops. As expected. Car park is really handy.
B. S.
It's good place for shopping and food, with huge car park. I mostly park by KFC or PC Currys which are my favourites.
K. E.
Sometimes you have to go to a different place and this our other place. IKEA and its meatballs are my reason for going there. The grandchildren love Smyths Toys.
A. S.
It's nice but parking just for 90 min is not enough when you are going for big shopping like electronic or furniture.
S. C.
Decent shopping. Huge B & Q. Car park large but can get very crowded on the PCWorld side. Good for fast food too.
C. M.
Ideal for furniture so many shops and often so different providing a great choice
s. b.
Great tkmaxx here with great bargains to be had when finished shopping Macdonald on sight if you like. Smyths toy shop too so able to park with worrying
M. H.
Its has lots of different stores, something for everyone. However, parking becomes difficult on weekends and trying to get out of the carpark on football days is almost impossible.
P. H.
Very handy shopping for people whodont like town shopping .Easy parking , can get most things there.
S. H.
Handy for shopping if you want electrical, toys, clothes , a new carpet etc but traffic can be an issue, especially on bank holidays!
L. D.
this is the retail park close to the M4 and the Madejski stadium - it has a large B&Q some fast food places, a Tk Max.
It gets really busy and parking can be hard on the weekends.
E. M.
A retail park, with a large B&Q, etc and a couple of fast food outlets. Only accessible from north bound carriageways, heading towards Reading from M4 J11. Can be a pain getting in and out at busy times.
M. S.
It's OK!
I. D.
A useful selection of big stores, adequate parking, though close to Madjeski Stadium, so local traffic can be heavy on match days.
G. K.
Has everything you need, very busy place
N. G.
Uninspiring. Nothing to get excited about. Only one exit/entrance so on very busy days you might wait a while to leave. Very near to Reading FC so avoid when they are playing vat home.
G. I.
If you come off junction 11 off the M4 and towards Madjeski stadium you will find this well located retail park. I usually come here for family visit to pizza hut especially when I need to exit reading quickly towards the M4. You have SMYTHS toys as well as PC world curry’s and a few other big retailers. I found customer service to be generally good at this retail park. Parking and access from across reading is generally good. Check the reading FC games in advance to avoid getting caught in traffic jams in which case avoid as you will become part of huge tailbacks. You have been warned!.
R. V. D.
Easy access and enough parking spaces to this convenient retail park.
J. M.
Good range of large stores and plenty of places to get food. Very difficult to get in and out of though during peak times such as Saturdays and mid-week lunchtimes.
P. B.
B&Q. I think the staff in this store are trained to be unhelpful. First the item I wanted was supposedly not in stock. After advising the gentleman concerned that it was showing as in stock on the web he took me about 20 feet and showed me that there were at least 6 such items in stock and probably another dozen of other brands.
When I asked if they had a display item on show...the answer was know. I then asked if it was possible to see the item and was told I would see no more than the photo on the packaging. I then politely said that I had seen the item online so it was not a photo I was after I simply wanted to see the item and feel how sturdy it was etc quite important
With a work mate type bench. After yet another excuse not to open the box I was losing the will to live and told the man that and that for someone not trying to be difficult he was doing a mighty good impersonation! Not the first time I have had poor quality service in this store......all he really had to say was awfully sorry our policy is not to open packaging, and I would have probably been quite happy!
l. m.
Can be busy and hard to leave carpark but with the shops that are there and food outlets why rush
S. K.
Only places I would visit here are B&Q and Costa coffee. Avoid rush hour as next to a busy intersection. Ample free parking.
D. C.
Very good service
A. L.
Car parking at the McDonald's end is too narrow and limited. Best to park near to B&Q and walk if you are aren't too lazy!
D. H.
Visit the Costco here. Parking is free and plenty. I don't like the speed bumps through, sports cars scratch.
A. M.
Always a place to park, although the narrow roads make it tough to navigate with pedestrians around.
A good variety of large shops.
E. W.
🙂
s. f.
Plenty of outlets and many food outlets, personal favourite - drive thru Costa.
T. L.
Good place for shopping
S. M.
Reading Gate Retail Park is a gateway to Reading, Close to M4 Junction 11 and A33. Includes B&Q, McDonald's, KFC, TK Maxx, Curry's PC World, Pizza Hut, Smyths toy store and all. Lots of Parking Spaces.
T.
Everything you need really
M. S.
Nice place to shop but parking can be difficult when its busy
P. F.
This place reminds me of my ex-wife, busy during the day with a little congestion, surrounded by fast food and costing me a fortune in pursuit of happiness. Soulless, cold and devoid of humanity at night.
S. M.
Good variety of shops could make parking bays a bit wider
G.
Easy parking but look out for the idiots who think it's a race track....
You have been WARNED
C. C.
Always blocked traffic, that McDonald's is also creating a que. Meahh
t. a.
Free parking good selection of store's just their for breakfast choice of two popular outlets
R. C. (.
Smith's toy superstore👌, TK Maxx👌 Costa👌 and loads of other good shops! Ample car park too !
B. H.
Good to shop here all sorts of shops here and there is the football here as well
H. L.
Not the greatest choice of shops very busy today
R.
It's a shopping mall, It gets very crowded on weekends and it's full of a few chain stores .There are some helpful stores with good staff & some clueless wonders but traffic is pretty bad on weekends and never go when Reading is playing at home.
R. M. S.
Nice range of stores shame about the parking spots being very small families will struggle with the spaces getting in and out of your cars etc
j. h.
Great range of shops and a good toy shop plus kfc, mcdonald's and pizza hut. What's not to like about the place!! Our 2nd home lol
R. P.
Lots of variety with the shops but always a very busy place especially at weekends and the car park is usually busy.
D. S.
Places has almost everything shopping to eating places. Nice big car park.
H. B.
Has variety of big brands including Mcdonald, KFC, pizza hut, b and q, curry's and furniture stores
S. T.
All fine here and good (free too!) parking. Clean and tidy!
H. G.
B&Q @ Reading Gate has been a life-saver on several occasions but the only hiccough is getting to it. Reading Gate retail park has non-existant/ineffective traffic control & an unfortunate array of junk food shops (seemingly NFR). B&Q is located beyond the initial 'feeder' roundabout: if you manage to beat the starving hoardes, you'll be fine - congratulations on successful negotiation. If you're too late (perhaps dilly-dallying until 9am) you'll be caught, & good luck in your practise of defensive driving! Above all else, though, it trumps driving to the centre of Reading... So enjoy!
A. L.
Toys, electrical goods, coffee, McDonald's, KFC and B and Q. Parking available but I guess you should avoid match days for Reading FC
v.
Good shop vut really small car park. Always too busy during week end or football matches
P. A.
It's a retail park with a big carpark and a few fast food places. Best to avoid if the football is on until after kick off.
R. Y.
Currys, B&Q and Oak Furniture store are exceptional. Costa was nice too..
a. p.
Good range of shops and loads of parking
T. T.
Great besides the fact every storte there is closed
G. A. (.
Place nice for shopping and food joints around. However, couldn't find what I wanted to buy. Kid's dressing shoe.
S. C.
Has improved recently. More retailers. Even a Costa! Parking can be a challenge, particularly if football is in town.
M. T.
Curry's staff very helpful and knows about the to product's they selling
S. F.
Shops are what you would expect to find in a shopping center. Lack of independent shops. There really isn't much choice for places to eat if you don't like chain restaurants.
R. B.
Shops good and always a full carpark at peak times visit late for ease of parking
S. Y.
Great Variety of shops, A good short drive from the usual Local shopping places in west London.
T. W.
A fair few shops and fast food establishments with plenty of parking including Blue Badge bays.
F. M.
Avoid match day blues (Reading FC Madjeski Stadium directly behind. On the good side, Pizza Hut pizza's rock!
I. W.
Great DIY store, along with a selection of carpet / furniture outlets plus electrical store
Fast food restaurants available on site
T. S.
Not any different from any other retail park. It has PC World, Smyths, B&Q, Costa, Pizza Hut, TK Maxx, McDonald's and another shop or 2. Nothing to write home about.
T. D.
Great place to shop lots of choice only down fall very busy traffic also worse today as there was roadworks
H. C.
Always busy and the carpark is not well designed making it very slow to exit. But the only B &Q for miles
D. L.
Go at the wrong day or time of day and traffic will be hell but the stores are fine. Food is cheap and easy, McDonalds KFC etc
T. C.
Great little retail park but avoid like the plague if Reading are playing. You could end up stuck in traffic for a good while.
P. C.
Too crowded, how come so little space to drive in, for parking etc for a major retail park?
M. F.
Good free parking. Good, large, modern shop units. Busy when Reading FC are playing at home near by.
D. P.
Nice and quiet at 7am.
H. A.
Enjoyed visiting the tk maxx as quieter than the one in Central Reading
P.
Good for a visit with an agenda. Nothing special to do here unless one wants to buy electronics or visit TK Maxx
P. B. '.
Plenty of shops with B and Q, Currys and Smyths toy store etc. Together with Pizza Hut, KFC and a McDonalds. All with free parking.
B. E.
Nice new retail park, decent amount of parking and size of spaces. Only issue was with the amount of rubbish being blown about
S. H.
I've always loved this retail place. It has such a wide spread of stores and all are amazing.
C. R.
Lots of parking. Nice retail stop.
J. S.
Parking and queues can be very bad on match days. Worth avoiding if a match is on our you may find a 20 mins queue just to exit
R. R.
Good place but too far from Reading Town Center. You can easily commute using Bus service.
J. H.
No hassle at b&q. All geared up for covid and no queues. Staff helpful at all times.

A. H.

L. K.

C. C.
What can i say B&M just amazing !!!
J. J.
B&Q, PCworld, McDonald etc... Altough close to motorway commute there is a pain being on IDR route and close to football stadium. Avoid like fire on match days and rush hour
S. S.
B & Q, Pizza Hut, Mcdonald, CarpetRight, Symths etc at one place. Ample of parking next to M4 J11.
N. W.
Got what we wanted but lots of dodgy looking people about ???
In the shop everyone I saw had masks on
T. R.
The roundabout at the entrance has always confused me - not entirely clear on the road layout.
Good selection however
S. C.

Lots of places like these are low on stock, so I recommend checking stocks online before going to these places.
M. R.
Easy access and parking. Good selection of shops. Fast food, furniture, sports, toy shops etc...
S. R.
Few good stores but the car park can get very busy.

R. V.
Take away order so a quick visit. So the whole experience was good, quick, stressless.

It's fine if you need something from there but it's a pain to get to and most of the stores can't beat online prices anyway.

Don't have a problem with the park itself it's council's stupid idea to put humps on a roundabout.
P. P.
Food and shopping with ample parking , but located couple of miles away from central Reading
