Local market held in car park on Sunday. Nice Portuguese custard tarts, try a sprinkle of cinnamon, says vendor.

Nice place for coffee and a little bit of shopping

St Martin's Precinct in the centre of Caversham was built around the 1960's and is an open space surrounded by a handful of shops. Up until this month (June 2017) it has become badly run down. As I speak the precinct is being renovated by having the 3 old Chesnut trees removed, all new paving, new lighting, bins and seats and several new Tulip trees. Part of the renovation includes renewing all the shop front windows and signage. It should be a pleasant place to sit once its all finished later this year.
