Reviews of Marlands Shopping Centre
A. B.
Such a strange shopping centre with a fake little old school shop facade in the centre.
I always feel sorry for old shopping malls. They deserve some love.
The public toilets are really nice and kept clean and tidy.
W.
Can't fault the staff in the Marlands, such a lovely community spirit in lots of the shops. Feel the place could do with some more investment for repairs and maintenance. Is a wonderful place to shop but feel the building needs some more love.
1. w. i. s.
What a great shopping experience, real community feel and all the shop holders seem to be local and care. This place is a real gem and hope the local council appreciate it's value and support it as retail is struggling a little after Covid and because of the internet. Long may it continue.
P. M.
Nice little mall but fairly empty, some good local small businesses there, a savers, a cex and the Disney store has gone and is now the saints (FC) store
There's a cool Mixed shop upstairs that sells lots of vintage tech
C. H.
Great shopping area as it's been good for us as we are staying in an airport hotel, so good that then Primark H&M just someone get extra clothes with some lovely restaurants around the area.
D. T.
I have always liked this place. It was here before West Quays opened and is still a brilliant place with lots of niche shops and eateries. We always go here when in Southampton
D. R. R.
Small but convenient shopping centre, centrally located, nice to have some specialty shops among so many high street ones! Also some nice cafes and food court upstairs with many options to choose from - pancakes, noodle bar, smoothies and shakes, fish and chips...
t. b.
Nice place! Good wedding dresses and imports.
My brownie s yogurt almost costed me a tooth. But overall nice vibe.
Loved Manchester Road ♥
V. B.
So many shops inside, I wasn't expecting it to be such a big shopping centre! Only downside was parking, anywhere you go you have to pay & I mean it cost us £9.80 for 3hours & 10mins. Would of been nice to have some cheap or free parking options when they know you are spending money in the shops anyway!
P. L.
I had not visited Marlands for about a decade prior to this recent visit (2/3/22).
Sadly it has clearly experienced a decline in business along with the rest of the High Street.
It was clean, tidy and sadly rather too quiet. I saw at least three empty shops, a new pawn shop, and a fresh vegetable stall that I assume was a 'pop-up' venture as it was to one side of the main thoroughfare rather than a shop premise.
Marlands is very dependent on the adjacent main shop (I recall Matalan). This large unit is currently unoccupied.
I hope things get better because otherwise a visit is not justified unless the customer wishes to specifically visit a particular shop.
k. j.
Brilliant diverse place to bring the family for a day out shopping-everything (nearly) under one roof. I'm not a fan of shopping centres but this one is great as it has 90%of shops I like. Visit soon I hopr
B. S.
A great selection of quirky stores. I love the place. Its a great place for new ideas for gifts and bespoke items. Well laid out and roomy.
T. P.
An ok little area. Great to have the grape tree for dried fruit ect. Clothes outlets and a cheapy shop
M. i.
More like a neighbourhood mall and people come here for the budget shops and a variety of food options on the second floor including a milkshake place, JRC Global Buffet, Warren's Bakery for pasties, etc. Has a Savers and a Disney Store too. Has a nice light filled atrium.
R.
Most run down shopping mall I've been in for some time. It reminds me of the bargate before it closed. The council should consider a major revamp before it ends up becoming yet more student accommodation! You only have to visit Portsmouth, Basingstoke or even Reading to see how bad Southampton has become.
R. C.
Nice covered area for refreshments and shops. The card shop had a great selection and Frederick's served very good coffee.
D. F.
Lovely collection at affordable prices. I picked up a cap for myself from the Men's clothing section, and it looks good on me.
m. d.
Nice underrated shopping mall living in the shadow of West quay, just needs a bit more investment and a few more shops
B. N.
It is quite , peace and less crowed shopping centre. It is good for elder people to walk arround and having tea, coffee or drinks.
V. B.
It's OK. There seems to be a lot of wasted space. The best bit about it is CEX. I wouldn't go there if it wasn't a short cut from Asda parking to the main high street.
J. L.
Some good independent shops. Under cover. Toilets. Wheelchair access. Multistorey carparks easily accessed.
M. O.
Not a bad place to look around, I liked CEX, it had lots of DVD’s and Blu-rays which was good, so I quite enjoyed myself!
J. “. W.
Good to see the shops are being used very busy
R. B.
Plenty variety of shop, good clean toilets, plenty interesting food options although didn't eat
H. “. H.
Disappointing to see the Whittard store had gone from Southampton. The Marlands or the Mall, wasn't too busy, clean but a number of shops either closed or empty.
C. G.
Good place for shopping. And got public toilets here on 1st floor.
홍.
I had just visit one below, but I feel very reasonable price
J. O.
Great place for essentials, one of the lifts are always broken at least there's two 😂
All wheelchair accessible, toilets up on the 1st floor.
Z. X.
Given a three star as the building appears to be tired and run down. Inside there is quite a few empty plots and compared to other outlets across UK, it's just average...
c. c.
Great place to shop shame the some good shops have closed down
m.
Could do with having a few more shops especially on the top level, but place is a clean bright place to shop.
N. D.
Many of the shops are now closed, the ones that were "prime" lime Disney, Poundland and Whittards have left.
It is still clean and maintained but looking tired, more of a passage between Asda and the high Street than a shopping centre. A real shame, this was a prime shopping venue 3-5yrs ago
G. C.
Lots of great shops, still prefer here to West Quay, which imo is too big and busy
D. “. V.
It's a great little precinct if you don't like crowds as the one down the road West Quays is crazy.
L. S.
You'll find a free cash atm inside, a coffee bar, global buffet (restaurant), shoe repair shop, a jewellery shop, a local vendor stall for fruits and veggies, footwear shop, etc.
P. W.
Big Centre with loads of shops and food outlets, nice clean toilets,
t. l.
Very good shopping centre and seems to have everything
M.
Always pleasant staff not many queues quite quick shopping experience
D. R.
Nice selection of shops and outlets.
M. B.
Lovely little shopping centre wasent busy quite a few nice shops and cafe's definitely worth a vist especially if you want a relaxing walk around. I gave it 4 stars as afew shops were closed..shoe zone, peacocks.
P. C.
Nice area to shop in. Stop off at BBs for coffee before going home.
A. R.
Nice shops. A shame that there are empty retail units in there. Needs some more well branded named shops or a good craft or toy shop in there.
Favourite shop was Warren James jewellery shop. Nice staff and nice prices.
Toilets are clean. Great short cut through to Asda.
P. W.
Nice light atmosphere with plenty of shops with toilets.
A. M.
Asda shop and resturaunt doesent open untill 9am toilet s open and clean
c. f.
Plenty of car parking in the multi storey quite a lot of different shops very clean.
P. H.
Used to be fantastic when Disney store was here but now it's gone 🥺🥺🥺🥺
S. H.
Was a beautiful precint in southampton loys of shops
A. W.
Most shops empty, maybe Convid was a factor. But most shops of little interest.
C. P.
All ways nice and clean and staff always very helpful
M. H.
Marland is a great place to shop, plenty of places to go for coffee or something to eat.
L. J. H.
Went to Claire's. Very helpful, found exactly what I was looking for 🙂
M. H.
Has a lot of brands. Worth going to for shopping
G. L.
Used to be better shopping experience in there, I must say
j. d.
I'm afraid its becoming another old Gem being drained by the titan West Quay, I loved going to Bargate when i was young and now its seem Marlands is becoming the same. Don't get me wrong the stores in here are amazing and i love going here too but I do hope this place doesn't follow it old friend.
T. L.
Funky, retro and modern shops to chose from. Liked it.
Μ. Μ.
The shopping centre is ready for Christmas 🎄 Many shops are closed but we'll get back there soon to make some lovely memories 🥰
K. M.
Supercuts, Stakks and Frederick's all essential. 😁
L.
Very dead but very crowded. I found one very nice store but everywhere else felt dreary and lots of people here were like zombies. Some gems to be sure, but a very dull and sometimes I don't feel 100% safe.
A. G.
Ok, could do with more clothes shop there, miss peacocks.
D. S.
Just love the mocha they have. I visit quite frequently. It's an open space, good coffee, friendly staff.
H. V. A.
A very nice setting and shopping experience!
K. L.
The Marlands Shopping Mall is a convenient cut through from Above Bar to Asda. The variety of shops are of no particular interest to me other that once a year to see what's there.
m. n.
Loved the buffet worth the money.
P. E.
It's fine a shame the Disney store has gone that was a big attraction for young and old. Overall not a bad place, but West Quay takes most of the business in Southampton
D. S.
Great mall at Southampton..... Enjoyed spending time here with my fiance.....
S. R.
A very nice shopping centre with a nice away of little coffee shops and nice mixture of clothes, discount stores like pound world, the attic (Sells stones, retro consoles and comics to name a few) and Saver, sweets, ice cream, Disney store and even Asian shops that sell random items and imported Pokemon items.
I do miss the alternative clothing stores it once had.
A. G.
It's a good place with variety of stores
J. S.
Limited shops in here. You've got poundland, fancy dress, wedding dresses, card shops, clothes shop mainly aimed for teenagers I think and tie dye clothes. Leads out onto the high street or the other side leads to a big Asda shop.
N. J.
Nice place to purchase many important products.
R. P.
Another good example of a well known shopping centre.
A. W.
Still some goods shops but quite a few empty shops too. On the first floor there is a good set of public toilets. Just outside the entrance is a fresh fruit seller, good quality products on a market stall. Inside there are quite a few budget stores and a nice restaurant on the first floor with a mix of cuisine. There is a bridal shop and a Disney store, some other clothes stores and a nice old fashioned sweet shop.
j. m.
Kids play area kept them quiet. Then the shops were quite good near an ASDA if you can't find it here.
M.
Can get busy but usually not to long to q
I. B.
Good variety of shops. Great bargains to be had in the loft ladder. Clean and tidy. Nice coffee shops.
J. H.
Like the loft ladder upstairs unusual , lovely clothes.
b. d.
Wide choice of shops indoors, alongside a number of places to eat.
j. H.
Used to love this centre but it seems forgotten about so uninviting, needs cheering up such a shame, needs life back In it! But we must support it to keep it going shoppers!!!
K. C.
Not many shops there anymore.
L.
Never get rid of those guys working at fruits/vegs stall :)
A. L.
Good place around West Quay on High Street
B. R.
Marland shopping centre has become a walking through building. It does not have its previous busy and vibrant atmosphere. I would suggest to make it a dedicated shopping centre to specific industry (for example gadgets shopping centre or repairing services), the people would learn why Marland is there.
Currently with West Quay and Ikea being around, Marland isnt doing well :(
P. C.
The marland is a lovely shopping place great shops
K. K.
Very good shopping.
Very nice Marlands Shopping Centre.
S. M.
I've always liked the Marlanda it has some of my favourite stores. Cards Direct are excellent, unfortunately Bon Marche and Peacocks have now gone, but One Below is also worth visiting
g. j.
Good choice of shops! Sandwich bar on ground floor, abit expensive but there are others around. Titanic Tattoo n Piercings, very good with good prices.
J. M.
I think the Marlands shopping centre has a good variety of shops. I visited the first shoe shop from the high street, the fella was a nice guy and we had a laugh, and I bought two pairs 😊 Then there is Savers, which is a popular choice. I also went to the One Below shop, (Poundland offspring) I like this one. Basically I think all the shops are pretty good here.
J. A.
Not many shops left in here now I dont usually shop in here anyway I just use it as a cut through to get to asda
T. D.
Nice Fish & Chips and Polish Dumpling offered at Vida Marina and Pierogarnia Traditional Polish Dumplings!
Great selection of products at The Grape Tree.
K. H.
Now that west quay has taken over Southampton in the mall arena, the Marlands shopping centre is going the same way as “east street” arcade and more recently, the bargate shopping mall. More and more units are becoming empty and remaining unused, and even the cafe that used to take over a large part of the floor near the Asda exit side with seating, has now reduced in size to a few square metres. It’s still refreshingly busy especially at weekends, at the east entrance and the amenities located on the first floor are fortunately still open, which can be a godsend considering that it’s almost impossible to find public toilets outside of a restaurant anywhere in Southampton city centre nowadays.
It’s certainly starting to feel dated inside and none of the little artisan outlets occupy any of the units now, which means the experience that marlands once offered has been reduced to just some shops under cover. But as long as it isn’t converted to residential flats, and some of the west quay investment is diverted to this part of town, hopefully the marlands centre can be saved from the same fate as every other mall Southampton’s had pre west quay, and go on for a further 30 years… 🤞
G. v. b.
always good. Clean presentable mall.
s. s.
If you need skate shoes, cheap toiletries, toys, second hand games or safe passage to asda you'll love it. The hippie shop upstairs is a must visit.
C. W.
The marlands centre is a great place and I'm a regular at the glam bar to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted also have a coffee and cake in Costa coffee x
C. M.
Great selection of shops to buy gifts or to enjoy a great meal out love Starbucks eggnog latte or Costa gingerbread latte
C. H.
A more alternative range of shops just up my street although there is a lot that's empty. A very enjoyable experience
W. K.
Good mixture of shops not just chainstores
M. M. J.
Love this place! Venues include Disney Store and Rockbottom Toy Store (my two faves!) This kinda triggers some sensory issues though as I'm autistic. I do recommend this shopping mall though!
M.
Slightly dated shopping centre. It has a few good shops but plenty of empty spaces and some of the choice is lacking, loads of discount clothes stores etc. Overall just feels a little run down in comparison to bigger more modern facilities. The small fokd selection upstairs is good though and the recently opened kids play facility is promising
G. S.
Clearly marked signs on floor for social distancing, all stores are now open. Clean & tidy.
R. B.
It's a bit sparse, guess it depends what you're looking for
J.
This mall used to be a great place to shop as a quieter alternative to West Quay, however in current times it's lacking quality and there is a few empty units.
R. S.
Some decent shops here but in comparison to other places, you only ever really coke to marlands if you have a specific shop you want to visit. You don't really come here to browse the shops unfortunately.
L. H.
Good variety of shops for a well rounded shopping experience. Love the fresh fruit and veg stall at the entrance.
D. M. (.
I go to Marland because they have an old sweet shop in there called Frederick's it's in the picture, they do all the old sweets in jars like when I was a kid and on easter they make Easter eggs, you can order an egg in what you want and they make it it's cool because if you have kids having an Easter egg made specially is so special, I would recommend anyone to go there, as soon as you walk through the door it's like you are transported back to your childhood
A. R.
Getting very sparse with shops in this centre.
K. J.
Popped in to the 2 wedding shops, great customer service in both. Clean and tidy whilst walking around.
N. P.
We love going there for coffee and snacks upstairs great service less busy, low key. Clean and tidy environment. It's a shame lots of empty shops but still get bargains from the remaining ones. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wheelchair accessible enterance and lift to allow everyone to explore the 2 floors of beauty outlets, budget stores and cafes. Cex great service always busy. Our favourite ice cream is here in summer.
M. J.
Good little shopping centre with a variety of shops such as Disney and peacocks and the loft ladder. There are a couple of wedding shops too. The staff in all of the places are quite friendly, especially the guy who sells hot corn 😋
S. P.
Happy coffee time here
J. A.
Pretty dead for shops - like a teens playpen
S. B.
Lots of empty units, only went for the buffet
M. B.
This recent development of shops was built on the Old Hants and Dorset Green bus depot, it's a development that I visit only occasionally but on my most recent visits I was really surprised just how busy the indoor shopping centre has now become. It has a really nice selection of good clean modern shops and is definitely worth a visit to have a look around.
A. G. H.
Good place for anything you want to
A. W.
This used to be quite poor when I worked locally a few years ago, mostly populated by pound shops, and discount outlets. However was pleasantly surprised during a more recent visit, as clearly some long needed investment has transformed it into a much more up-market experience. Now has a wide selection of good shops and some excellent restaurants on the first floor.
M. H.
This place offers something different to West Quay. It's a nice change from the huge shopping and a lot more personal and smaller. They have a little bit of food on offer too with some really nice independent shops that you just don't get at West Quay. Definitely worth a visit
P. A.
Always a great place to go with a good selection of shops. Would recommend.
P. L.
Much quieter than the other shopping center, lots to choose from, nice shopping experience, lots of parking
C. P.
Hi. We like the chap who has the fruit and veg stall in Marlands. Very Good Indeed. We always buy grapes, had some nice bananas the other week. He always has people there. Keep it going. I say that because back aways I had a battery put in a watch one Saturday, said I would bring my other watch next week for same thing. He had Gone. ?????
S. M. H.
Lovely place , got food court and few nice shops .. an amazing sky Retail Store
M. E.
It's a nice area to do few shopping and has food area inside , little kids can also enjoy the little space around the shopping centre
R. A.
Always very clean so credit to the cleaners. Always get one t%$t who thinks he/she is the only person in there and walks at -0.01 miles per hour. They do good pasties upstairs. Cex always smells like sweat. As far as a mall goes it has all you need.
D. D.
Nice fruit and vegetable stall lots of little shops
m. b.
On way through the Marlands!! was fast, cheap! And plentiful to nab...car park just accross the road... Disabled friendly!
S. H.
Had a lovely sandwich in Frederick's today
H.
Unsanitary. But good, friendly workers
S. J.
One of the best place on Southampton. Everything you need is on one place from clothing to eating, video games to sports materials. Have fun zone for kids. Price are very resonable in Marlands shopping Center. Every thing is up to date.
D. S.
Has the shops you cant get in the big centre nexr door great clothing shops. great place to fine what you want when you dont know what you want..... and grab a shakeaway
M. L.
Quint shopping centre, not overcrowded and have some nice shops. It's mostly a mix bag of interesting and boring shops. Best to think of it as a few chain stores plus a few uniquely quirky shops. Worth a visit if you've never been.
P. W. (.
Interesting to walk around, but it seems like half the shops are abandoned, likely because it closes earlier than Westquay. It has a design that I think hasn't aged very well, but can still be appreciated.
Overall, interesting to go through but not quite the spot for some shopping.
T. P.
Good range of shops both food and clothing and a old style sweet shop.
R.
Good range of shops, does have a carpark but unfortunately it isn't connected to the shopping centre you have to go up to level 10 then walk through asda and cross the road to get in which is fine unless you go on a Sunday before asda opens then you have to walk around to get to the shopping centre but this only takes a few minutes
R. H.
Good shops, best peircing studio in Southampton is in there
N. F.
My favourite shopping centre in Southampton. I just wish they could fill up the units maybe with outlet shops. In Birmingham there used to be an outlet called Next to Nothing - end of season Next clothes
P. B.
All disabled parking spaces for Asda are on the same level as the store. Floor 10.
D. G.
As a shopping centre it has become tired
S. D.
Great selection of shops, always clean and tidy. Bright and airy
E. M.
An old childhood favourite. Also one of the only places with a Disney store! It may seem bleak and empty inside, though, the quaint decorations and brightness of the inside interior seem to make up for the lack of shops. Also, you can find cool stuff upstairs.
M. D. 3.
Not to bad
Have to wear a mask 😷 which I agree with
S. D. C. M.
Busy shopping mall with some interesting shops. Nice coffee shops, very clean environment.
K. D.
Nice little shopping centre. Cheap car park of the same name across the road, only a fiver maximum. Cheapest in Southampton. Has the Disney store and some other nice shops. Nice alternative to West Quay.
i. g. d.
Hay I see me a rat run by
D. G.
An interesting small shopping centre that is usually my shortcut from Above Bar to Asda's. I used to spend longer in there, but the smell of cooking sweetcorn on a fairly recent stall turns my stomach so I rarely spend much time in there
The toilets on the upper floor are very useful and well maintained
J. H.
Good selection of shops.
K.
Brilliant place with a range of different shops, cafe's, restaurants, tattoo studios, salons, and stalls outside aswell. You have upstairs and downstairs with escalators stairs and lifts so suitable for disabled people aswell. Perfect place if you want a range of places under one roof and that's suitable for anyone including kids with the kids machine rides dotted around the place. Perfect.
M. A. J.
Just right but surprised about the below £ 1 shop - there were 59p items. Some good stuff in this shop. Small but ok and leads onto road in rear leading to several stores.
G. G.
A good average place...a convenient walk through from the town center to Azda and parking...
J. H.
Nice little shopping centre (in comparison with West Quay) in the heart of the town centre. Nice wide selection of shops split over two floors with a Buffet restaurant on the top floor usually keeping this area open past where the rest of the shopping centre would be closed
m. h.
Always visit when I'm in town, there's many shops, and it's a great place a must visit
W. P.
Off the high street, this arcade is a little gem! It is home to a lot of shops, both main high street and lots of independent treasures. It has a good selection of places for food and coffee and a very wide variety of shops. With differing architecture inside it is a worthy stop for shoppers in Southampton.
P. A.
Second fiddle to West Quays. If you like nail bars, discounters and second hand mobile dealers, this place would be your dream. No special reason to visit, the UK has at least one of these rather forlorn centres on every major high street
M.
A more dated centre than west quay. But has a couple of decent shops, as well as quite a lot of empty ones. Upstairs is pretty good for snack options but overall it is not somewhere to visit specifically
p. b.
Went through on the way from Asda car park to High street .It's still got Hinds Jewelry shop and a number non high street shops including a poundstretcher.Shame it's overshadowed by West Quay shops.Few niche shops worth browsing though. One of the clothes shops closing down. Really nice market stall for fruit outside high street entrance.
A. K.
Quiet, low key mall. Has some unique clothing stores but no big brands and a Savers that's always busy. Nice, spacious Costa and a pancake place. Also has a huge Pound World.
S. S.
Everything is in place for some safe Christmas shopping, you may have to queue for some shops but just remember it's not the shop workers fault!! they really are doing a great job in some extremely difficult circumstances
C. K.
Fredericks is the best chocolate shop in town, especially for vegan chocolates!
S. M.
I preferred it when it in open air and was a bus station
D. H.
Busy but lovely shopping centre. Anything you want will probably be available from one of the shops. Disney store, an animal protection shop, M&S, to name a few. Costa, a large area for food and drinks. These include a sushi bar, McDonald's, spud u like & KFC.
R. Z.
A mystery shopping mall for me, however there are some things I love about it which is the figure making from clay workshop, milkshakes and pancake house that is currently closed due to covid
S. G.
First time here at Marlands for such a long time went to global buffet nothing has changed maybe time for an upgrade ?
F. C.
Tucked away didnt know was here
l. H.
Good variety of shops and eateries. Parking at the NCP was easy but relatively expensive for me. £9 for just over 3 hours (October 2018). Love John Lewis with some lovely Christmas bits and pieces. Festive astronaut snow / star globes. Er ..... really made me feel festive, not.
L. H.
I've been getting my hair cut at super cuts in the Marlands!!! The young ladies in there are okay!!! Not overly chatting or overly pushy!!! I'm not that well but they weren't rude about it!!! So I can't complain really!!! I also got my wall calendar at November for this year!!! Helps me keep track of daily agenda!!! Disney towels in summer!!! Bon marche sale jersey dress!!! They have the odd pieces which are great!!!
J. W.
This is a really modern shopping centre that has a lot to offer in competition with the nearby West Quay. It is home to a variety of shops as well coffee shops like Starbucks. I recommend the ShakeAway store for a milkshake.
M. H.
Fredericks makes this place what it is. It's an old school sweet shop that makes it's own chocolate. I also hold the record for the single biggest transaction by an individual which goes to show just how good this place is.
N. S.
This is a very good shopping centre but I think it should have a few more mainstream shops as I very often don't go in shops if I haven't heard of them and this can be the case in Marlands sometimes. However stakks is VERY GOOD!
A. N.
Cool shopping centre, sad to see some shops go and close like the Disney shop though, it was my sheep's favourite one :(
A. F.
Easy to get around in wheelchair as an amputee. Shop staff in most of the shops very pleasant.
M. L.
You can get a nice cup of tea here, but this centre has been eclipsed by West Quay, which is larger and offers more prestigious brands. Come to Marlands if you want something cheaper and more low-key. Parking is good value -- there's a large multi-storey car park. The attached Asda supermarket is the same as they always are: good value and acceptable quality.
m. w. f.
So much to see. Easy access to all city centre. Clean and fresh. Looks new
W. G.
The parking is not too expensive but it's quite a walk from the shops. The open spaces have now been turned into vendor areas selling sky television, vape or whatever. It's a shame the feeling of open space has been traded for some extra pestering by sky and co, which really does impact negatively on the experience for me. There is a variety of shops to choose from and being undercover helps with the British weather, but what could be four stars is ruined for the sake of squeezing some extra pounds from passing wallets.
L. “. W.
Great place, Martin and David that work security are two of the nicest blokes I've ever met
T. M.
The Marlands is rather dwarfed by West Quay a few metres away, the only reason I normally go in here is if they have a shop not available elsewhere, not for general browsing. The Global Buffet here is very nice with a view of the Civic Centre and the shopping centre is perfectly acceptable, but not my first choice.
J. S.
Not as big as West Quay, but you do find some good shops in here. The Disney Store is tucked away here, and now so is the only Starbucks in town since the one outside West Quay is gone now! Worth checking out.
S.
You’re not going to be wowed, but neither should you be discouraged in visiting. There’s a surprising amount of retail stores here, some are local independents which standout among the more familiar brands.
S. H. R.
This mall is rather small compared to Westquay, but has some nice specialized shops, for instance to buy great coffee and tea, nuts and seeds, and handicrafts. There's also a free of charge toilet. There are a lot less people than in Westquay, so if you need things and want to avoid the crowds, this may be an alternative.
P. E.
Just passed through on last visit to Southampton, but have used the Disney Store which is a brilliant shop. Have also bought a ring from the jewellery shop and bits from Pound land. Its not as busy as West Quay so alot easier to get round.
J. P.
Great shopping centre for kids, adults and everyone in between. Vast variety of shops from toys to clothes and food and drink. Tattoo parlours, vape shops. Easy to navigate and very hard to get lost.
H. T.
Feels like taking a step into the past when visiting. Good to see some staples are still around; Disney store and shakeaways that moved the old Bargate.
Aside from that, it's a real hodge podge of shops. Worth a wander around if nothing else
R. B. (.
A shopping centre housed above a huge carpark.
c. M.
It was ok it's smaller than west quay so there is no great variety of shops. There is the Disney shop which some people would food interesting but I didn't find anything I needed at this time
D. H.
Pretty good shopping centre. All in all it has almost all the shops you need; from Whittard for your novelty tea needs, to costume shops, clothing and tech they've kinda got all you could want. Not quite as vast or as nice looks as West quay but definitely worth also going to and has Asda very close by. Parking is very convenient and not too price if you're there for less that 2 hours. Lots of food places around it too and a short walk to town.
V. P.
The shopping centre was just so good. There was this lady that ran across the whole shopping mall in about 30 seconds. Mad lass she was
C. L.
It's an OK shopping centre on the budget end of the spectrum. Discount stores, low end clothing retailers and goods, and second hand games/electronics. Although the Grape Tree on the ground floor is a good value health food store.
F. F.
Not as good as my last visit 😕
D. P.
Good little place, a lot of different shops, but most important, CLEAN toilets. An applause at all the cleaners that work in there.
D. R.
Plenty of shops and places to eat. So much choice you will need a few hours to explore. A lovely spacious clean building with something for everyone, a visit is a must.
A. B.
Plenty of shopping options. Nice place.
J. C.
Great variety of shops and disabled accessible too
L. P.
Mainly only go into the Marlands shopping centre to visit the Disney store. It has lost many great shops over the years which is a shame as its a nice little mall. Worth going to if you like more unusual shops (there is a shop upstairs with lots of different boutiques), poundshops and other cheaper shops.
The Disney store in the Marlands is lovely though with great stock and friendly, helpful staff.
S. M.
Nice place to spend the day
T. C.
Nice mall
D. H.
Another shopping centre, but I'm not so sure Southampton is a better place for it. A functional place and clearly popular with shoppers, which isn't my favourite activity. The inner-city green areas nearby are much nicer to visit. The Bargate was once a good visitor attraction but Southampton is getting a bit like Leeds, a perpetual building site. Not sure the town planners have the best interests of residents and visitors at heart. Southampton is very good for transport links, car parking and disabled access. Nor sure I would want to be there after dark.
I. C.
Lots of good shops, but many have closed down since Covid.
V. N.
Some good shops. But sadly a lot of the shops in the mall keep closing. Hopefully it bounces back post pandemic.
A. D.
It's a very clean establishment with helpful and friendly staff at the assistance point, I don't feel intimidated or scared by any of the people that work there. Furthermore, it has a wonderful variety of stores to browse in, my favourite being CEX and Savers.
W. R.
Great shopping mall with vape shop evapo, cheap chemist Savers, Poundland, CEX and lots of other good shops, check upstairs too for shops like Kidx, also a few good cafes. Asda just nearby, what more could you ask for? I wish they'd get rid of the sweetcorn stall though - it stinks the place out.
F. W.
There was a man who was waving a gun near the Marlin center who frightened a crowd of young girls. I was leaving on the bus so didn't see much but 2 men one in uniforms were holding him down. Otherwise it was a very pleasant day.
K. S.
There is a friut and vegetable market that is one of the cheapest, nearby.
It has 2 doors, so you can move from city centre to asda and back.
A. N.
Nice Area
C. T. L.
Good shops but not the best quality. Very expensive place
G. R.
Time for a refurb maybe guys?
It's got a few good stores but it really needs a update and Renovation, everything is dated. The Disney store and staxxs and shakeaway is the only real reason I bother to go in, and I'm sure given half the chance they would move to west quay. It's dingy and isn't a very bright or welcoming shopping experience. The lighting is a dull glow and it just feels so depressing ! It would be great to have some seating that isn't uncomfortable wire benches upstairs and definitely a phone charging station!
I. J.
Great staff.good service..nice fresh
Coffee and food.
K. N.
Feels a little run-down, especially when you consider how close it is to West Quay. A few independent stores, with relatively friendly staff. Good for a quick browse, but not all that much to do here.
a. a.
Very good shops
G. B.
nice shopping centre needs a upluft or some mordern shops to come in especially were disney once was sad to see it gone.
S. C.
Seems loads of it closed and empty.
D. R.
Great shopping centre with lots to see, buy and eat
The variety of stores, wares and restaurants within make it a really nice place to come to if you want to just look around or really enjoy yourself at little cost
K. A.
Getting a bit run down now. Nice clean toilets though.
V. V.
Costa Coffee.. Love it
d. d.
Marlands is a great shopping center with a few main names and some good independent traders.
I nice old building with a nice blend of modern and vintage. the fake house fronts are a nice addition.
Definitely worth a look .
B. c.
Bit quiet for a shopping cent
W. F. S.
Large with a lot of independent businesses, health food shop and fancy dress upstairs with a wedding dress/gown boutique. You can access via Asda at the rear and you come out on the top part of the main high street, plenty cafes and eateries.
s. a.
It's a good mall but lacks in interesting shops. There are a few shops that meets people's needs like the pound shop, luggage, game, jewellery, coffee shops. They have on the second floor a well organised W.C for all.
B. H.
With the high streets taking a hit, Marlands is my favorite shopping mall in Southampton, There are more of the smaller shopping chains as well as the big ones, there is plenty of space to move around and there are some hidden treats as far as shops go upstairs. It can seem deserted and forgotten sometimes, but theres bargains to be had. The Toyshop/fancy dress shop on the top floor is fantastic. Especially when choices are limited in that kind of thing due to the big companies taking over.
B.
They have this second hand shop, OMG they have so many great comic's. And another stuffs.
And if somebody like anime stuff u can found a small shop in ground floor where you can buy a tons of stuffs. The cashier she is nice and lovely person
O. B.
Great place but slightly dirty- Stakks is a very nice place for lunch after going to the cinema or just as a treat etc. Shakaway is there so it gets an extra star for that 😂
D. S.
I went into timpsons to get my ankle boots resoled but the guy said I didn't have leather soles and suggested that I put a good quality wax shoe cleaner on them as that will make the leather waterproof
j. h.
I use the Maryland's very often, there is a good fruit a vegetable stall there. The venda sale an abundance of fresh produce at amazingly affordable prices , it's important and essential to me to stick to a budget, the Marlands shopping center enables me to achieve this.
O. t. t. C. t. t. P.
This place has been around since I can remember. It's about as no frills as you can get but does the job it was setup to do and does it with pride.
Nothing beats the walk through Asda which you need to do to gain access from the car park and nothing beats that old skool vibe as you walk through the main doors.
West Quay may be its younger, better looking, full chested, Instagram selfie sibling but the Marlands is where you go for that authentic Southampton feel.
S. L. R.
Really enjoyable space if you don't like malls as big as West Quay, lovely security guards and good variety of stores.
P. S.
Parking day rate 5gbp but small and compact, Not for Big SUV's. Almost all big brands are available near by from Ikea, debenhams, M&S, Apple, etc.. etc.. Nice dayout for Shopping and food.
H. G.
Wide selection of shops though oddly maintained with some escalators being randomly out of action constantly
S. P.
The marlands is knocking on a bit now, but it is still in good condition. You won't find high end shops here, with the exception of the Disney store. However, it has a good selection inside, with some nice stores selling items that can be hard to find else where, at a decent price.
J. A.
Clean and bright. No groups of youth's as usually found in most shopping centre's, plenty of security, only negative is not enough seating area's for people to rest up for a bit.
D. N.
Nice shopping centre but I think it should be just a bit bigger with more shops in it
R. D.
Never the cool-kid that the bargate was and too cheapy to compete with West Quay for the fancy crowd but dear to the heart of locals. Loft ladder is a highlight. Grab a shakeaway and ride the glass lift. Much more than a walkthrough to ASDA.
A. D. R.
A not so big shopping mall with low quality and low cost shops. The range of shops are from shoes and clothes to detergents and luggages. There is also a stand selling fruits and vegetables. They accept only cash. On the upper floor, there are some restaurants which stay open longer than the shopping mall.
B. T.
Good clean well laid out shopping centre.
s. m.
I'm so happy I can go to the shop and buy whatever I want and shops are still open that's very important people can socialize together good luck I wish you best of luck
C. C.
Few empty shops, as you enter the shopping centre you will be greeted by a horrendous smell of popcorn from a seller in there. Plus points are a great toy store and having a disney store, however the disney store is pretty small compare to other branches.
h.
Great shops upstairs
D. C.
Good local and independent shops with access to local High Street
N. C.
Still the best shopping mall in Southampton. Maybe doesn't have the selection of shops that west quay does but it's got that something that makes it great. Pound shops, savers, perfume, clothes, skate shop, toystore, craft shop, cafes, jewellers, shake away, pancake house, Costa, make your own pottery, key cutting, shoe shop it's all here.
L. W.
Good little shopping centre, wide array of shops and always clean and tidy. Has its own dedicated security and hygiene team. Only place that is ever less than acceptable is the toilets.
M. s.
Clean shopping center with plenty of shops
A. S.
A compact and traditional mall with almost everything you'd expect from a small shopping centre. The tea rooms and coffee shops are good. I'm not sure if the cobbler is still there but they sure are way cheaper than my dear Timpsons :) There are some odd stalls of brow bars called Glamour in the lobby area but hey one odd stall doesn't hurt the whole mall, does it? I usually stop by Fredricks to say hello to some old friends at coffee. The last time I visited the escalators were broken during business hours so I am holding one star for that. I'll revisit the mall and review in couple of weeks I guess.
E. M.
Nice little indoor shopping mall, it has places to eat, have a coffee. Toilets are upstairs and the ladies toilet is always clean and well stocked.
J. F.
Really nice shopping mall, appart from most shops now closing down l it's always been nice, especially the buffet upstairs. Staff and security guards are always very friendly and helpful.
P. R.
Could be more shops but they have Cex to buy phones, one pound shops, a place which sell fresh fruits & vegetable for a pound. There is a very nice tea shop which always offer to taste different teas, coffees. You can buy very beautiful plates, cutleries.
D. B.
Even though West Quay has everything you need, it is still enjoyable to get out on the high street and visit Marlands. They have some interesting standalone shops here and eateries.
B. B.
Good shopping centre totally under cover. Great location in the centre, but unfortunately it seems a bit run down and dated compared to its neighbour shopping centre. Due to close proximity and ease of access, I would recommend checking out both!
L. T.
I love it here, affordable shopping and a diverse range of shops to boot.
I. C.
Clean and appealing and full of independent traders.as opposed to a centre full of high street same old.The shopping centre is really handy and the shops and traders keep the shopping mall diverse.Im hoping it won't become a victim of online shopping. It deserves better than what happened at East Street and Bargate shopping centres. Here's hoping.Shops come and go and to be fair a lot of the independents have gone but the units aren't empty for long.Way more relaxing than Westquay....
m. d.
Good parking a massive amount of different shops love the place clean and tidy the toilets a e keep very clean can get buzy but one thing it just shows you that people love it all you need fancy dress shop to eat in and even a poundland to a DISNEY SHOP also tattoos good access for disability carts
m. 3.
Gd, but some of the regular shops have closed, also some people ate not wearing their masks in stores and the staff don't care.
P. C. T.
Nowadays this shopping centre has lost traction due to the new a bigger options but is still a very good place to go if you want to avoid the crowd an have a relaxed chat/shopping. The place is not old at all, and still is a nice place.
J. T.
just coming back from marlands found adult shop in there you have to find it secret but worth looking for just got some stockings and skirts going back to my friends try them out he get a hard on had a good day shopping try to find it you will not regret it
A. G.
Lots of various well known shops, as well as some independents, some good, some not so good!
If you like variety for your food then I recommend the Global Buffet upstairs, excellent choices from around the world.
h. R.
Alway a lovely center with shops and easy axcess to higher floors to disable people rather than the larger center which is over run and is very difficult to get in a lift. Unfortunately most of these shops are closing and the down stairs savers are over stocked and not easy to get round in a wheelchair. The peacocks is brillant for disabled to get around thanks
H. G.
Marlands is a small/medium shopping center. Its mainly poundlands, jewelry and clothes shops, but with a sprinkle of random shops appearing and closing. Upstairs the food highlight is an amazing pancake place, and a milkshake place. A new bistro has opened up on this floor, but its so secluded and hidden away that it puts me of going to it.
A. S.
Tue centre has become a ghost of its old self with multiple shop either closed down or empty, a few start ups have since taken the place of the closed shops however they are either for a niche market like wedding dresses or sell only very low quality products the ttpe like pound land ot bargainbuy, they have a range of food options which are not all that bad!
a.
Starting to get a little empty but the shops that are still there are top notch. My favourites are Shakeaway and The Loft Ladder (a vintage game, record, comic book, dress shop). It's a bit in the shadow of the bigger, more varied West Quay mall nearby, but for smaller shops, Marlands is King, although it seems to be going the way the now abandoned Bargate mall did.
a. c.
Very good, a wide variety of shops, especially the Disney store which is always a bonus, good access, clean and tidy a pretty great place to shop, grab a snack or just browse, definitely recommend.
a. r. (.
Just like any undercover shopping mall, with a nice variety of shops. Not as big as Westquay but it does have 2 floors. Worth the walk around to discover some nice shops.
H. O.
Good shops. Not sure if still open upstairs tho.
M. J.
Ideal and modern shopping located in the heart of Southampton which holds an array of shops and restaurants.
There is parking in a few locations near there for a relatively low price.
You a guaranteed a reliable time in the centre :)
E. A. R.
It was just a drop bye for looking around and shopping. My main.shop was Disney shop sadly the store has been shut down with 81 stores in all 😱😢😢😭😭
M. C.
Always clean, glad to see markers down for the foreseeable future just ashame a lot of people who come into DON'T ABIDE even some of security are trying to guide them.
M. M.
I like this place, small independent shops and some big name brands. Easy access with lifts in the middle for access to second floor.
D. S.
It has some good shops, however I go there the most because it has a couple of great food places to eat on the floor above such as an international food restaurant and another that serves the most amazing pancakes.
M. X. J.
I often visit Marlands instead of Westquay for the selection of shops. I think Marlands has a more varied selection of shops that offers products within a reasonable price range. Westquay is a bit more for those with a little more cash. They have toilet facilities, lifts, and a nice town-center feel to the interior as opposed to Westquay's more commercial feel.
R. W.
It is not a huge mall but it does have a large variety of shops that are not in the high street. Toilets are always clean but don't always smell very pleasant
P. N.
Good variety of shops .places to eat are good.
D. O. H.
Although this centre is a little run down compared to the west Quay, there are still a lot of nice niche shops here. A great experience for those not just looking for the big high street brands
G. C.
Nice place to get away from the heat and a nice variety of shops.
J. M.
Just walked past it. Did not use.
E. T.
Lovely place, all the time is nice here
I. M.
Not that many shops in there now but still some good ones as for the toilets not very clean
R. M.
Wh at a busy place. Like a diffent world. There are benches so you can sit down on the way up there is a slope and it can be a little tiring on the way to the main building. Lots of independent stands down the middle of walk way. This is a place to stay for the day as food can be bought and eaten.
F. H.
A small mall complex on two floors, some shops of interest: chinese craft, Grapevine, Disney, Cex. Some discount stores (2 Poundlands?) Specialist stores, Jewellery and Tattooist and a Bazaar gift shop. Apparently some sort of art gallery near Costas but never been there. Toilets and public areas clean and tidy.
L. P.
We visited stakks pancake house. Shopping centre clean and tidy. Toilet door handles could do with a little TLC but otherwise good.
D. C.
Nice little place with some good shops, not overcrowded like west quay which makes a nice change.
A. P.
Great place for shopping home of cex in Southampton plus lots of independent shops
J. A.
With any shopping centre there are good bits and bad sadly this is something that the centre will have full control over and that's their security. Who are rude. And think they're some kind of obnoxious super hero.
S. H.
Lower end retail shops like pound shops, good toy shop on upper level and global buffet is worth a visit but u have to reserve. Nice indie shop with helpful staff. Disney store here is v. Cramped and usually heaving with full nappied tinies. Tiny clares accessories - barely room to swing a bat or cat. good shakeaway
S. B.
If you have a disney nut in your house, this is the place to go. And as someone who worked there when it first opened, in Goldmans, i do enjoy going back, but mostly its now pop up shops, and cheapo versions of high street bigboys,so spend wisely.
R. C.
Nice selection of shops and a great pancake restaurant inside
A. D.
A little bit depressing walking through ad most things are shut. Great cut through to city center
M. G.
Not as good as it was. Haven't been for 3 years due to covid.
L. M.
It was a pleasant time in the Marlands Disney Store!
C. “. T.
It's alright not much in there but it's worth a visit if your in town
B. M.
Because this mall has West Quay on its door step, it has become the place for small, local businesses giving it more of a 'local community' feel with some great little shops and cafes
S. C.
A lively shopping mall with a good selection of shops. It's a shame West Quay has stolen the limelight as architectually it is a lovely environment. Needs a big name retailer to enliven the mall.
J. C.
Great little shopping centre with a nice cosy feeling. Some great shops including the Disney Store. Some nice cafes and restaurants with easy access and well located
N. C.
Not bad selection of shops. Could do with having more selection however.
K. I.
Very good shopping mall. Big entrance, variety of shops (sawing shoping, barber shop, games shop). Clean toilets, two retail stores. Starbuck coffe shop on the main entrance(from high street), global buffet on top. Nice one.
D. C.
Very busy with low end of the market shops such as Poundland and Poundworld. The cobbler is good and easily cheaper than Timmsons. There are quite a few odd shops which are ideal when you are looking for something different.
J. B.
Nice selection of stores inside. A bit of everything and has some quirky stores. It's definitely worth having a look.
l. b.
JC,s buffet a must visit place
E. B.
Friendly staff , clean , good coffee of course very nice to sit and chill
J. S.
I love shopping in there I would sooner go there than town now that you have a Yours shop and a M/H shop to by my grandson some clothes it's even better than before as years ago I worked in eastleigh and have always made it my shopping place
V. M.
Quite a decent shopping mall in downtown Southampton. I enjoy visiting it on my every trip to Southampton. It has a good selection of both budget and high(er) end shops.
R. H.
Nice for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Also nearby there's Westquay shopping centre which has more shops and restaurants. Make your budget b4 you visit otherwise you will spend loads without even noticing.
O. S.
Marlands has certainly seen better days with West Quay taking significant footfall. Slightly peculiar selection of shops ranging from Disney to Poundland. Sometimes you find something a little different and you realise why it still exists.
M. R.
I love Maryland's Shopping Center, not too noisy, interesting shops, I could spend all day having a relaxing cuppa or a milkshake, lunch and just perusing the shops.
J. S. M.
My Favourite place to shop
Got all the high street shops here plus some very nice food stores.
Much better than my local shopping centre in Portsmouth in my opinion
x. s.
Amazing I am a potato I have no arms or legs they gave me a sket bored love it but cant youse it I have dislexierrrr my dad is a rainbow
C. E.
The Marlands Shopping Centre was opened on 5 September 1991. At the time, the Marlands Shopping Mall was the largest shopping centre in Southampton and the first significant shopping centre in the city (East Street Shopping Centre being well out of the way of the main shopping district hence never being very successful and the Bargate Centre being much smaller), however it is now dwarfed by WestQuay, which opened in 2000.
The Marlands Shopping Centre was constructed to a postmodern design, which was described at the time of opening by one critic as looking like "something made of Lego". The Centre was built on the site of Southampton's bus station (the city is now without such a facility), a popular rose garden and some terraced housing which had become shops, on Manchester Street. These were destroyed in 1988 to make way for the shopping centre, despite local opposition. A replica of the Manchester Street shops was constructed as part of the Centre's atrium.[4]
The centre is laid out across two levels, with escalators connecting them at the North West entrance and escalators and glass lifts connecting them in the atrium, at the South of the centre. Unlike most of its contemporaries, the Marlands Shopping Centre does not contain a car park of any kind - the designated car park for the centre is accessed by going through Southampton's unusual ASDA supermarket which is on a slope - you go in on the ground floor and come out on the tenth floor - and across a bridge.
Nice shopping center
E. K.
I really like the marlands because it has all the necesary things that i usually go shopping for, its small but easy to walk around and i like how it is set out. I dont like the cafè area though because it takes up space. Other than that i love it though
M. B.
Some good stores and facilities but usually used as a walk through, so it's well placed for human traffic. Upstairs has no appeal so could do with interesting, niche shops.
D. E.
Good variety of shops. Nice refreshments from BBs.
L. G.
Not a bad little shopping mall, looks a bit dated now compared to modern ones but there are still some big name brands in there. Parking costs reasonable too.
K. N.
Nice shopping centre mainly full of independent retailers. Kids love the toy shop on the 1st floor and the pancake house on the same floor is yummy.
E. A.
Didn't do any shopping, went to JRC but looked OK, would be good to visit 🙂
V. M.
Nice good shops
s. w.
Love this little shopping centre, seems to have stood the test of time with all units mostly full up, toilets bit dodgy sometimes but for a town centre they aren't bad Xx
M. R.
Shame closed love it even my hairdressers but its nice and xmas display although I love dolphin centre poole better
K. G.
Hasn't changed in 20 years, unless you want Disney shopping... not worth the visit
J. K.
As expected. Can't really say much else.
R. B.
Another great place to go to, lots of different shops to look around and a great top floor where there are a number of different cafe style places to choose from.
F. P.
Nice and quiet considering nearly xmas
L.
Nice shopping centre but the problem is that when they modernised the lifts they are always breaking Down word to all business don't go cheap Eaither keep your lifts or get something decent
W. B.
Lots of shops, multiple pound stores for some reason though. Go upstairs and find Stakks pancake House for a great breakfast or lunch and the loft ladder for a great range of comics.
T. A.
Pretty old fashioned, not Many shops I wish to frequent
D. L.
Victoria's Secret and Swarski are the Bees knees. I was impressed with how well the public safety measures worked.
A.
The Marlands Centre has some good shops, like the Disney shop Japanese anime cosplay shop. And for the lovers of skateboarding great clothes and shoes. A small coffee shop and a information desk
M. C.
A lot has changed in the Maryland's but I went to Titanic tattoo studio for a piercing
C. B.
Couple of good shops in here plus a pottery painting workshop space.
D. C.
Starting to look a bit empty, hope it doesn't go the same way as East street and the Bargate centre.
G. A.
Clean and spacious ,although not a great selection of shops.A pleasant mall all the se.
I. G.
Nice little mall on the high street.
Way more relaxed than West Quay.
Perfect to grab a bite, coffee or something like that 😁
G. G.
It's a bit tired. Although nice and clean. And it has Yummy Cupcorn! which was great and the guy is really friendly.
P. G.
I don't usually shop here, just walk through on my way way to the bigger shopping centre, but find this place busy, tidy, and some great shop's
D. J.
Mostly closed under the pandemic restrictions, but bargains in the discount chemist shop and a good green grocery stall.
S. a. D. P.
Shut at the moment apart from a couple of shops, is a great place in normal times....
H. H.
Alternative to West quay, good footfall and loads of local businesses there selling their wares and foods. Get yourself some interesting goods.
m. h.
Plenty of room to move about. Good selection of shops. A great variety of things to choose from and some good places for food and drink
M. A.
Great shopping centre with spacious area and different kinds of stores. Items I can say are less expensive compared to other cities.
N.
Great shopping centre with many different stores. The shopping centre is not as crowded as West Quay making it more convenient for a light town shopping visit.
J. C.
Nice relaxed shopping centre, which is always clean and tidy.well worth a look around.it is a lot smaller than the modern shopping centres with less shops, but does have a bit of character.
M. K.
This center had some nice one off shops such as a comic book store and a Manga Cente, Also a large CEX. Lots of closed empty shops upstairs. Hence the 4 stars.
A. A.
It's a small shopping centre. You won't find big brands inside. A nice buffet is on its first floor.
M. W.
Although the mall seems dark sometimes and closed, it seems to be on the way up. The new addition of Global Buffet (top floor, back of mall) has lines flowing out the door! 💹
A. &. K. (. S.
I really like this shopping centre. It's a shame there are not more shops within though. I prefer this to the madness in West Quay
H. P.
Nice place to Walk🚶 around and relax shopping area. Can't believe it used to be were the old 🚌👮 station 🚉 was. want a transformation.👌👍😍 👍 ♥️♥️
D. D.
Like the shops we use here. Good hairdresser (appointment not necessary can just walk in) and Shakeaway & Stakks favourites. Pottery painting studio.
C. F.
Shopping centre that has a few good shops and a few places to eat and drink and has facilities which are free

Good place, decent shops. If you're looking for a day out and not just a quick pop-in, I'd recommend going to West Quay instead.

Good for shopping and things reasonable cheap than supermarket

Good variety of shops, though they tend to be on the cheap side rather than the quality side of things. Quite a few odd, niche shops in there but definitely worth having a look in
A. S.
Nothing much compared to the nearby westquay but I like that it has a fresh fruit stand and random little shops. I wish Whittards still had their shop there!

Shame that most of the upstairs lots are empty now there was a really cool clothes shop I visited previously now that's gone. The cex is good.

Easy access place. Bang in the city centre. With lots of shops and options. There is also an Asian vegetable seller at the exit with good produce who sells in a cash and carry style.

Only went as far as the main entrance but it looks similar to most shopping centres, although most outlets were doing business and not empty as in other places.

It has some good shops (Whittard's, Poundland, Savers, a giant CEX, Poundworld, and Blue Inc. to name a few) and is easy to navigate. It also provides an easy route to the local Asda.

Nice building with different shops. I don't go into all of them and it's nothing like the West but it's still good
S. C.
Pretty average shopping centre. Always clean and has decent shops. Can't help but feel it is missing some character though.
N. S.
Clean, but lots of shops closed down. Just walked through.
