Reviews of Westquay Shopping Centre
A.
Great place to shop in the centre of Southampton. Plenty of good shops on two floors and great selection of eateries on the top floor. Eat at John Lewis's top floor restaurant for a good view over the docks and any cruise ships that may be in. Multi-storey car park is adjacent to West Quay as is the main High Street for further shops and restaurants.

I don’t know about shopping, but for sure the picturesque of the locale don’t allow you to get into showrooms, rather it calls to gaze the sea and the horizons beyond. Absolutely stunning views and charms. Regarding the shopping : Expensive if you are poor. Cheap if you are shopaholic. Love sales ? Then u will get the best deals.
j. p.
A very well laid out shopping centre, with plenty of parking on site. Lots of different outlets to choose from. Lots of good restaurants to choose to eat from
J. J.
One of the best shopping malls I have visited.
The two main stores are John Lewis and Marks & Spencer, but also many of the other famous and popular names are there.
There is a wide variety of " eateries" in there, so it's a good place to have a meal or snack.
Parking is usually plentiful, but not free.
Adjacent to the Mall is a cinema complex with, I think, 10 screens and again, a variety of restaurants.
Well worth a visit.
A. M.
As shopping centres go, during weekdays it never seems very busy. All the usual suspects are there, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Levi, Victoria's Secret, Hollister etc etc. Plenty of fast food outlets as well. Bus stop for many routes just outside the entrance
H. K.
Big place, with lots of food restaurants and stalls to choose from. Lots of seating place inside.
Plenty of Outside seating as well.
Quite close to the Southampton central train station and an entrance on the main Street.
Impressive design.
Best section the below ground outside restaurant area and court heard.
C. S.
Great place to park the car and reasonable for the whole day. As visited the Southampton boat show.
Encouraging customers to come and shop.
Hoping they can get paying machine repair or reboot whenever it breaks diwn
R. T.
The only place to watch films. A great screen and sound but more importantly you get a leather chair that reclines so you can watch the film in comfort.
The ads are shorter than other cinemas which is great as you can get on with enjoying the film.
There is also a bar and Costa on site so plenty of drinks options. It's also great having lots of restaurants and bowling next door so you can make a night of it.
F. D.
Easy parking, well lit car park. Access to all floors with escalators, lifts.
Clean. Bright. Information boards signposting stores. Info desk available for guidance. Good range of high street stores and smaller stores. John Lewis and M&S have big stores with extensive range plus food halls.
H. M.
It was clean, well kept and bustling. All shops where full and there were convenient seating areas for charging or resting your legs. It is accessible accessible wheelchair users and people with problems easily using stairs as there are conveniently places escalators in all areas.
J.
Went to pizza express within West Quay.
The food was okish, I'd rate it 6 out of 10.
My main issue was the glass water tumbler, what's seen better days.
J. K.
Lots of shops. Lots of choices. Backing on to IKEA, so it's easy to spend time shopping in different shops.
A. L.
Very nice shopping mall. Had a lot of wonderful shops and it is very clean.
K. B.
So,how do you rate a whole shopping centre? It’s a place where there are lots of different kind of shops so, you’re wrong to give it a rating based on one experience in one shop.
As a “shopping centre” it has easy access from Above Bar and at the Waterstones entrance. It’s also got lifts at the John Lewis side too. There is more than enough parking around and even charging points for you EV car.
Getting around is easy, including for disabled people.
There are at least two places for toilets and are eco friendly.
It does get busy at weekends and obviously at Christmas.
If you’re hungry there are many fast food options on the upper level for all kinds of tastes.
Like it or not, it’s the main place people tend to go to in the city.
I remember when you had to go outside and go each shop separately. Now it’s all the same kind of usual repetitive shops under one massive roof.
D. W.
A really great indoor place to shop. Large range of shops with a wide range of items. Huge multi level car park with direct access to West Quay. If you havent been to West Quay make it a trip to do and you wont be dissapointed
K. J.
Better shops for clothing, food court upstairs with many retailers. Quite busy on the Monday we went, it was during the school holiday though. Much, much better than our home town for shops
N. F. (.
It’s a huge building. But surprisingly small inside. Lots to choose from for lunch, possibly one of the best selections of lunch venues in any of the major shopping venues in the area. Good parking, easy road access.
A. S.
I enjoy shopping in a mall as the weather doesn't matter. It has a variety of shops from normal chainstores like Zara and H&M to small shops that are rarely seen elsewhere. It has quite a few restaurants and clean public toilets as well.
V. B.
Plenty of shops & restaurants & activities to do here. We loved it! Only downside is parking costs, nowhere available to park nearby for free so they know it's easier for people to park in the underground carpark just below the shops. If you're planning on spending a day there then be warned about the parking fees.
J. B.
West quay is fine and good to get out of the rain to. Not my personal cup of tea as not a person who likes browsing round the shops anymore especially with prices going up everywhere and being on a limited income. But hopefully continues to be good for those who can afford it to keep the economy going
P. L.
Its the biggest shopping centre to where i live, if I’m going to have a buying splurge this is where i go. Good range of fashion shops, food mall is ok ( generally fast food but has a Nando’s and some American diner) but isn’t that varied. Best of all it has a Lego store, happy days…
S. G.
There is an array of showrooms which covers almost all your needs.... But there isn't much chairs to take a break (unless you count the chairs provided by each restaurants for its own customers)... The feeding area chairs were occupied by men, non-feeding women and kids which takes away the whole purpose! Found difficulty to find a place to feed..... Eventually used a dressing trial room!
A.
Such a huge choice of shops you are bound to find something to make you tick. And once you are all shopped out you can stop at the food court where there is grub to suit all tastes. Love a days shopping in Westquay everything is in one place.
A. R.
Love Southampton for shopping, always find what I'm looking for as ample shops and eateries. Now Bournemouth and Poole are dead in the water, Southampton is great. 45 mins by train so a cheeky glass of wine or two with lunch makes it a great day out.
J. H.
What better place to meet up with friends for a girly weekend. Shopping, lunch, dinner all in one place. It's nice to see so many branded and local shops open. We took full advantage 😁
j. a.
Like most other shopping centres, nothing different. Nice area outside with old walls to walk around, and a good mixture of eating places. Large display of colourful elephants
A. C.
Good selection of shops, great latte in Waterstones, plus an amazing selection of books and gifts.
Zara, good browsing for bright colours and children's clothes.
Huge M&S, and Oliver Bonas for clothes and house goodies. Etc etc.
E. B.
Nice. A few eateries and went to a lot of shops. It connects to ikea so you can go there after. I was too tired out to go to IKEA. Had a really nice meal at five guys
A. S.
It's OK, the wife enjoyed herself. I would recommend getting a burger at 5 guys. Very nice and very filling.
J. P.
There was a wonderful buzz in the air today, people shopping and enjoying themselves. I made the most of M&S, hopefully it will stay in the West Quay. Definitely worth a visit.
c.
Great variety of shops, restaurants and seating areas. Clean restrooms and very easy to navigate. Disabled and parent friendly
F. 1.
Clean, toilets were well thought out compared to other malls I’ve visited, however the queues were out the door in multiple shops.
T. P.
Had a really nice experience. Clean, well lit, nice shops all under one roof and went on to Cinema and nesrby restaurant
T. D. L.
What's not to like, all the items brands and very functional premises. Just about everything the heart desires pending on how much your wallet will stretch to. What's Not 2 Like
k. p.
Nice place, open late at night, but parking is a bit confusing, if you didn't know the area then you can get very lost parking around here. Has a 5 guys and a nando's amongst other things.
J. T. (.
Big shopping center with lot of varieties, bit crowded but clean and safe. Plenty of parking spaces. I enjoyed my shopping and dinning in this mall
R. B.
Massive choice of food n shops, all clean, shop staff all helpful and polite, busy but manageable, good parking and accessible
S. B.
Went Quays, not fond of this centre. Too busy, loud, people begging. Too many people on those scooters. Not looking where they are going. Lots of pick pockets too. Becareful.
S. I.
It was lovely to view whilst eating, great idea. Love this part of the city, I love how much this area changes for diff occasions
D. L.
Lovely place to relax and people watch, a couple of nice bars too
吴.
It is really modern shopping centre with a lot of choices of restaurants. There is a cinema as well. Not very crowds. But there is long queue in peak hours for all the restaurants. Pre-booking is highly recommended. It is near the old castle wall. You can have a good view of the heritage as well.
H. B.
Nice place to shop. Especially now since there is a large german market here.
S. H.
Clean with lots of choice. Busy when we visited but convenient to combine with a visit to IKEA.
G. T.
This mall has a wide range of stores and eateries. It's a pleasant place to shop and worth a visit.
E. L.
Verry large shopping center you will need a whole day . Only visited briefly. Lovely hudge jhon Lewis great baby department
R. A.
Very large, upscale, covered mall in Southampton, England. Many shoppers were there on a Sunday afternoon.
N. K.
Lots of shops and a huge food court. Super busy but great fun go window shopping too.
Convenient as it’s in the city center, I’d you can’t find something on the high street you bound to find what you were looking for at West Quay.
K. W.
Massive shopping experience, modern in every way, including an automatic cleaning machine that fascinates most people visiting this shopping mall, it knows where people are and stops and starts a perfect robot, doing a great job.
Loads of shops for all ages and good prices to be had on items if you shop around. large multi story car park, with lifts.
B. S.
Very good shops and well laid out. Plenty of variety of cafes/restaurants which should satisfy most people. Good parking allowing easy access to the shops
S. L.
Very nice place to go.lots to do and see
M. B. (.
Bright and airy. Plenty of places to eat and shop. The lift has all it's mechanics elements exposed if you like that kind of thing, very interesting.
J. V.
Still a great place to hang out, shop and eat. Glad that everythinga coming back to normal
G. N.
I love visiting West Quay Shopping outlet where all the stores are under one roof. John Lewis is especially grand with various departments ie clothes for all, furniture, kitchen displays, everything for baby, hair and beauty salon and a grand restaurant albeit self service. There are also plenty of different food outlets to experience.
N. N. R. C.
Excellent range of stores and other businesses.
Food from all over the world, cinema and many many wonderful and different shops to browse around.
Found the map outside to be a little confusing and the entrances were not easy to locate.
As a disabled driver/person I found it incredibly difficult to navigate to the shop I required and a member of the public was more than helpful.
No sign of any Mall security or hospitality for strangers to the mall.
Overall very good 5 star's but a tweak here or there would be very useful.
A. F.
Busy from about 11-3 a huge range of stores including a few outlets, plenty of food&drink stalls and the food court with plenty of other options. Plenty for kids to do in the half term for free. Always something going on! Just not enough floor staff to help customers find places, only customer services desk on floor 2.
d. w.
Love this place so many great shops. Easy parking. Clean and well maintained. All your shopping needs under one roof with places to eat and drink
A. “. R.
Costa coffee needs looking into for hygiene!! Absolutely disgusting. All the tables were looking like this photo below, you can feel the dirt on the table.
Definitely will not use again and will never recomend
A. J. (.
It was my friend's daughter's birthday on Monday, and to Cosmo Chinese all - you - eat restaurant. It was a good night.
J. s.
Great shopping experience. Clean tidy and lots of choice. Parking is cheap too. A great afternoon out and there is a Lego shop so kids didn't moan 😁
D. S.
Well, I picked up, a new backpack, and brought my mum new slippers and a bag/purse.
Everthing was on SALE!!!
IT'S a good thing, my mum looked at the receipt, because they charged moi, an extra £2!!!
I know that's little, but I can get 2cups of coffee, back in Salisbury!!!
D. S.
Superb. One of the best Malls I've been to and I lived in California for 15 years. Very busy but clean and professional. We recommend Pizza Express which we hadn't tried before. It's brilliant and the young Lady that served us was so professional.
M. C.
Very big clean and modern shopping centre. Nice modern clean toilets. Seems like a good mix of shops. Chucking it down with rain so ended up in there. Quite enjoyed a wander around even though shopping centres aren't our cup of tea normally.
L. K.
Pleased WQ & shops is still COVID friendly in all areas including a the shops. Masks worn by majority of public too. Shopping for a wedding & purchased dress in John Lewis. Needs more occasion shops as high streets are very limited. Had a lovely lunch as lots of deals still on.
A. F.
A nightmare accessibility-wise. Can be waiting up to 10 minutes for lifts because they only have 3-4 for the main shopping area. Lack of maps so you can't even tell what floor you need to be on before inevitably having to go wait for the lift again. Most shops not laid out for wheelchair or scooter users with gondolas and stands in the way of paths.
Choice in food court is excellent.
Clean and bright shopping centre.
W. A.
For me, the most important is the cleanliness of toilet. Everytime I enter the toilet, it is very clean and well maintained. Other than that, there are also halal dishes served here like Auntie Anne, ChopStix etc.
R. L.
Absolutely love West Quay shopping centre. The centre itself is big, spanning across multiple floors with a vast array of shops. Good amount of parking too!
A. S.
A modern town centre shopping mall with all the London fashion stores in Southampton. İt has a lot of eateries, including our favourite, Five Guy's.
D. H.
Cosmos! Incredible meal.we went here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and it was fantastic! The staff were so friendly got us in without booking .....so much food to choose from!!
T. W.
Cinema, restaurants, lovely spot for some photos. What more can you ask for 😍
S. I.
Better than Westfield in London, in my opinion. Truly massive place that is split into 3 buildings with 4 floors each... Maybe? I also feel like I may have missed a ton of stuff and it's secretly bigger than that. Very clean, tons to eat.
D. A.
Range of shops and places to see, definitely a good place to visit as a tourist
S. M.
Really nice always lot too see and do loads of shops to get everything you need and very easy to park
Very good 👍
Mr S Matthews
S.
Same old same old. Something needs to be done about all the people who can walk using the escalaters and not the lifts!! People with children in prams and wheelchair users should be the only people using them!! Waited half an hour for a bloody lift because of lazy people.
s. m.
Car park is a little confusing but the shopping centre was nice.
P. K.
Nice shopping centre close to Town centre. A variety of restaurants to choose from. Most of them offer takeaway and collaboration with delivery services. Perfect place to have a drink with your friend or after work.
J. G.
Great place especially with the Showcase Cinema complex right next door. Eat till you drop Cosmos and 20 plus eateries. Best park in the multi behind Ikea. Lift to 7th floor and walk across the connecting walkway.
Views of the Old walls and an ice rink there at the moment.
Looks even better at night.
G. B.
Wow... a great shoppers paradise! Help desk were great, The experience was a shopping mall! Nothing bad to say.
M. T.
Easy to get around on a mobility scooter or wheelchair but some shops are tricky to get around. John Lewis has excellent access.
S. S. Y.
Shopping centre is great but the car park is poorly designed and absolutely disgusting.
Even if you ever park, please try to avoid the far end as it took me an hour and half to get out of it on a very busy day of Southampton University open day.
The reason I noticed was due to poor design of the exit, far end cars had to give way to 1000s of cars exiting from the near end and security had no intention to let them out evenly. I would choose different car parks even if they are bit more expensive. Beware and don't fall into the trap of saving few quids.
A. N.
Vibrant & clean , enjoyed our shopping trip John Lewis and M&S never disappoints!
Nice tea and cakes in the book store, seen the elephants parade !
5. A.
Decently busy and with lots of different shops to choose from therefore you will spend a full day walking about, eating, shopping and spending money. 👌😅
G. T. (. w.
West quay the best in resturants, cinema, and all in perfection 👍
S. T. S.
Excellent shopping centre. A wide range of shops. Really good prices. Easy parking.
W. H.
Lots of great shops. Very busy especially the food Hall on level 5. Need more escalators.
H. P.
A fun shopping centre with something for everyone, including a cinema. I love all the food choices, and it is always clean.
G. C.
I only visited to try Five Guys whilst in Southampton. Was a bit disappointed they charge for parking, minimum £3 ! Looked like had all the shops you could want though.
D. S.
Always something to see and do. Well done West Quay
J. S.
Great shopping experience here, lots of stores, choice and safe. Variety of places to eat with friends& family too.
L. K.
Massive shopping experience, modern in every way, including an automatic cleaning machine that fascinates most people visiting this shopping mall, it knows where people are and stops and starts a perfect robot, doing a great job.
H. B.
Had a successful shopping trip. Was impressed with the new loos there. Very clean and accessible.
H. T.
Really good place to meet up with friends and go shopping
F. F.
Has something for everyone, plenty food places and nearby parking.
D. B.
Fantastic shopping center with lots of parking.
Great places to eat and amazing Cinema
Z.
This is a large shopping centre with a food court on the top floor, includes cinema, bowling and a multitude of shops, it's next to the high street too.
T. K.
It is considered a good shopping place in Southampton. Groceries store, fashion store, gift shop as well as many food & beverages outlets can be found there. The only draw back is the toilet only can be found near to parking complex but anyway is free to enter.
C.
Really nice good shops just too busy on weekends wouldn't go on a weekend again.
S.
Really nice atmosphere, lots of shops.
E. G.
Most Amazing Shopping Centre! It Has a Lot Of Different Shops And Restaurant's Outside And Inside a Massive Building! This Is One Of My Favourite Shopping Centres! I Would Recommend It!
E. A.
This is a brand new extension to West Quay. You can find lots of exquisite new restaurants, bars and cafes. The building is very nice, with good views on the Solent. The city walls have been finally highlighted as well.
A. S.
Busy modern mall with many shops and eating establishments. Many levels with lifts and escalators. Clean and warm.
P. W.
Great shopping centre, loads of food outlets, good brand name shops, clean with security staff on hand, home of a very good Nando's
D. R.

D. “. C.
Good location with car park, linked to high street shops and IKEA, old city walls just outside

S. N. (.
Just love this place from childhood to moving away to now coming back and adulthood love the place everything on 3 floors :) wheelchair friendly
P. F.
As someone who seldom visits shops, this enormous complex was astonishing. Very nice early in the morning before the crowds arrived... 😌
C. R.
I love it! Great variety of shops and food, good baby chanchi ha facility
S. G.
Love this place, only go couple times of year. Good for seasonal clothes shopping
J. B.
Nice place, plenty of shops but busy all day
S. S.
One Stop for all the shopping needed .. A great place , variety of food available at the food court , overall a good place to spend time with family and friends , loved their Christmas Decorations.
J. S.
Really like this place. John Lewis is extremely well stocked and it’s brilliant for a rainy day or lunch on a sunny day.
P. B.
That's okay when it is not too busy. Loads of good shops at the same place
N. J.
One of the best and largest mall of Southampton.
All should visit here to purchase all brand cloths.
J. W.
This place is BIG. I got lost and ended up in the car park. They have 2 lift areas which I didn't realise. There are direction signs in various places which enable you to find the place you're looking for and their neighbours which I found very useful. Will have to go back when I have more time and have a good look around
J. L.
Good parking. Lots of shops. Access to above bar shops. Links to leisure area.
K.
Nice place, clean, plenty of shops. Can't fault it
D. P.
Always clean, friendly staff, amazing selections of shops and places to eat
C. L. M.
Love this place. So festive at Christmas time too. Lots of shops and facilities. Great food outlets on the top floor with plenty of choice.
M. R.
Even though this is the biggest mall in the centre of Southampton, by design i am not a big fan of it. The new restaurant area with the cinema is amazing, but not the shopping side.
p.
Nice mall, but the set up of the shops was quite weird
S. V.
Great place to enjoy any movies sat on comfortable reclining chairs! There is plenty of legs space.
H.
Lots of great shops. Toilets available. Not always clean
G. F.
Great Shopping Experience, Lots of Security which made us fell safe.
G. F.
Very nice safe shopping experience, had everything we wanted.
C. B.
Well kept good looking place. Shops and restaurants not particularly well signposted.
T. L.
Massive, easy to get lost but loads of stores to chose from. Liked it.
P. R.
Best shopping mall I visited outside London. Can't say anything bad, even the toilet have an amazing system to save water and co2 emissions, and 100% clean. I would put only more seats for people who don't want to buy anything (if you go for eat or have a coffee of course, but in the middle of the journey I saw only 3 sofas in the middle of 1st floor) or simply want to relax between one shop or another👍
L. a. L. o. a. M.
Very good shopping restaurant choice open spaces easy to get too a good day out
L. P.
Had a successful shopping trip. Was impressed with the new loos there. Very clean and accessible.
G. W.
Great for shopping. Has lots of different shops.
D. W.
Wide selection of shops under cover easy to walk around
N. H.
Got my 3sim and vegan coconut body lotion there all good price
R. Q.
Large indoor shopping centre over 3 floors. Can be more expensive than some other places in town. It very good for slightly more luxury brands. Food court on the upper floor. Plenty of clean public toilets
J. M.
I understand that I visited this place on a weekend, but still. There was no social distancing and hardly anyone wore a mask.
The mall itself was clean and the facilities were spotless, but I didn't feel very COVID safe here.
L. S.
Wonderful didn't expect to find ourselves in with a herd of fabulous elephants. Great shopping & eating
A. H.
One of the best shopping centres
No empty units
Every store you can think of and more
Plenty of places to eat too
Great day out shopping
r. t.
Fashion and food are the two main retail elements. If you want something you can't eat or wear, you'd best shop elsewhere. Huge multistory carpark and all navigable without getting wet during inclement weather conditions. All quite expensive but a good range of produce to compare and choose. Clean and modern with all necessary facilities. Wifi is the only let down, it wasn't overly efficient.
A. P.
I worked in Costa coffee in Next. Great place to do some work with my colleague. It’s busy but quiet at the same time. The variety of food this Costa has is quite wide and the stuff is polite and kind. I would definitely go back and spend another working day there! Definitely recommend it!
J. D.
Great central location, close to the station, coach station and bus stop. Shops are plenty and there’s a real mix of what’s there. The main attraction is John Lewis but there are many other places too. The food court up the top and west quay south with the Showcase cinema make this a whole day out trip.
T. B.
As good for me as BlueWater on a smaller scale with a good food hall upstairs, most of the big named shops and easy access to ikea and the high street
D. C.
Good shopping centre very clean good selection of food outlets
S. L.
Good clean environment with a good mix of shops, expensive parking but a good day out
m.
Nice bright open place to shop, the food level is always busy, tables are not always left clean, and there has been a few times where ive had to clean the table myself, but other than that its a pleasure to shop.
S. S.
Really good shopping experience, definitely worth a visit.
a. c.
Really cool shopping centre, lots too see, many places to eat, nearby parking and close to all the other shops and shopping centres, all round a really great experience...apart from the kids throwing cans off the roof, work on security guys.
A. S.
Good for shopping and food. Really like how everything is close by. Don't have a huge range shops such as Westfields in London but still a great place for shopping and quite a few options s for food.
S. J. M.
Wow lots of different levels and shops, lots of different places to eat lunch and go for a coffee ☕. Well looked after and clean.
G. D.
Easy parking and good range of shops with a brilliant selection of restaurants. Much to enjoy.
M. W.
Plenty of well known shops,
A.
john Lewis great, helpful staff but not pushy.
l. D.
Very good place to shop and eat in.
k. s.
Lots of fancy options for your wardrobe. I found items costly because I am Indian.
A. N.
Great place for shopping
C. N.
Good selection of clothes shops and restaurants
M. S.
A large Mall with lots of great shops and plenty of restaurants for a quick meal.
A. M.
Good variety of shops, generally clean and tidy, plenty of parking.
M. K.
Nice place for a walk around, some good restaurants and things to do nearby.
A. D. S.
All the popular stores under one roof. And food court on the top floor, has a cinema and bowling too
b. j.
Good day for a walk around indoors.. good bargains...
P. V.
Fairly quiet at the moment, so you can do shopping keeping 2m distance from fellow shoppers quite easily. Food on Level 4 as good as always with some eateries de-clutter-ing their tables and sanitising surfaces after each diner.
C. M.
Large selection of shops. Clean and stylish interior. When we went, the food quarter upstairs was absolutely packed with people.
L. L. g.

Southampton's cavernous Cathedral of retail commerce. Beware your soul evaporating away as you spend your pennies on the shiny and pretty x
L. S.
Very busy during the weekends and a very beautiful place for shopping!
J. F.
Nice shopping centre, good car park not too expensive worth visiting.
s. m.
The mall will satisfy all your needs like any other malls but the most special thing there that suddenly will find yourself in the middle of southampton old streets, also there are sight scenes that you can find near by.
A. F.
Wide range of shops, food services and a great experience
T. R.
Being from London we have lots of shopping centres but there are few good ones in Hampshire. This and Gunwharf are the two standout offerings
G. E.
Busy interchange station, would be greatly improved by a left luggage facility
S. H.
Went for something to eat before cinema didn't have much choice just the usual MC Donald's or pizza went somewhere else
홍.
everything is ok, but you must lock your bike with heavy locker
T. P.
West Quay is full of Good shops and places to eat,Good parking and disabled parking.
P. H.
I usually hate shopping but I found it bareable in west quay. Good selection of shops, good food court, loads of parking, very open so you don't feel claustrophobic.
H. H.
Absolutely amazing place, I can't think of anything wrong with it!
L. L.
Only went to Buil-a-Bear but centre was clean and saw some really amazing stores will definitely be going back.
A. P.
Good amount of eateries. Good disabled access however can be a long wait for lifts. Floor numbering is a bit confusing. The ground floor is 2. Plenty of room in the car park which also has pedestrian access to IKEA.
H. V. A.
Very well designed centre.....can spend a day or 2 there should need be!
C. W.
Great range of shops, always amazing activities during school hols
r. s.
I don't like shopping much unlike the wife but saying that I loved it
C. M.
Westquay is a good mix sized shopping centre with a Large Food Court, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Apple store, Paperchase, EE and Three and many other stores. You can find most of what you need here. The carpark is either underground or across a bridge but there is plenty of parking The weekends are obviously busy but this is to be expected. Later opening is usually on Thursday night. Check on the website for more details.
N. C.
A really good shopping centre. The John Lewis is a really decent size. Don’t miss the Lush, it’s one of the best I’ve ever been in.
M. E.
Has many good stores, can get very busy at times, good facilities , few restaurants around with out the need to leave the centre.
P. K.
Great place
M. S.
Fantastic new shopping centre which runs along the old medieval wall. Numerous new restaurants and bars to choose from. Very impressive, loved it.
R. J.
Biggest frustration was M&S open 7.00am but podium car park not open! About time the management of the centre coordinated with their shops.
N. A.
Great range of stores, especially for those of us living on the IOW. Easy to reach via Red Jet as a foot passenger, easily spend the day here!
J. B.
It's OK it since getting rid of the big new look I don't really go in here now. Next shop is a good size and so is H&M. Food hall is always so busy so don't bother looking there now.
S. A.
Lay out is a long walk round to the stairs and lifts but good center
R. J.
I like going here, there is such a variety. It's also only a 5 minute walk to load of other shops, restaurants and parks on and around the high street.
K. N.
Casa Brazil, if you're a meat lover, you HAVE to check this place out... Friendliest staff, and the food, OMG I could have put myself in a food coma, please don't miss out on eating here...
F. S.
Customer service people were very helpful when I needed to rent a mobility aid! There was a choice between scooter and wheelchair; the scooters were very easy to use and had lots of storage places so you don't have to have your shopping on your lap. The entire place is pretty accessible, there's a lift and ramps, although the ramp looked a bit steep for a manual wheelchair!
J. D.
It's a big shopping centre with plenty to offer. The parking is a little pricey (but then I walk in from my office) but otherwise good.
A. H.
Went out for lunch with a friend, had a cocktail while we were there. Good food, will head back again but maybe for dinner
P. M.
Wagamamas was great to visit before the Mayflower Theatre and Jimmy Carr
P. W.
Big Mall. Loads of shops and places to eat. Lots of local parking, with toilets
F. C.
I find this excellent, especially since the opening of the second part that has many restaurants. There is loads of choice in shopping, for example M&S. Eating options are numerous, whether you want a coffee or a meal. There are plenty of car parks.
a. g.
Great place for every kind of shopping you can need plus has a good choice of restaurants on the food terrace👍
G. v. b.
Always a good mall. Clean and always tidy. Ford court is good. And now with the water mark everything is at your finger tips
A. C.
Good sized shopping centre with good choice of eateries. One thing to note is there is no bins in the main shopping floors so a little awkward with where to leave rubbish. Range of seating around if you want a break. The multi story car park features very good EV chargers on level 5, well marked and often not iced. 6 kw and free to use, just make sure you lock the charger as there is no security. £5 all day parking makes the charging pretty cheap.
C. S.
Good selection of shops, restaurants and amenities for the whole family. Although it might feel strange with COVID-19 protocols, the majority of the time we felt safe and like sanitation was done to a high standard. Worth the stop and very nice when the sun is out due to lots of patios
G. B.
Super shopping centre for all weather.
A. R.
The watermark is the ideal place if you're looking for good food, or to sit back and people watch.
M. N.
Good range of shops and lots of places to eat.
D. H.
Excellent shopping centre.
Clean, well maintained and fairly central.
J. C.
Everything you might need is here. Clean and easy to walk around.
k. d.
Always busy, but a decent selection of shops.
D. C.
Lovely centre with good selection of shops and great food centre. Only negative was lack of signage to and from car park!
S. B.
Love this place, has everything you need and want
S. R.
Lovely place but does get rather busy!
W. M.
Good shopping centre where you can take dogs in
M. L.
Great choice of restaurants & set up to socialise as well as a bit of retail
W. V. B.
Surprisingly one of the more enjoyable shopping areas in the UK. Despite the rather dull grey surroundings, it had many good shops with polite and helpful staff. Eating establishments were in abundance so there is something for whatever you fancy.
L. R.
A good shopping centre overall with good parking. Can get very busy at the weekend.
A. H.
Really enjoyed West Quay. Ed's diner was fab too.
M. K.
Still decent enough, needs a Entertainer toy shop and it's a shame it's lost shops such as The Saints store, Sports Direct, New Look, Office and several others but worth a visit
P. G.
Prosperous feeling mall with a good range of shops and restaurants
s. i.
Its is a very good shopping centre.
A classic place, great shops and services with excellent transport, been visiting since it opened all those years ago!
Quite big. Free parking. Easy to find by car. Lots of buses stopping there. Everything you need under one roof.
S. D.
Great centre, great shopping, nice and clean and good lighting.
C. 9.
Visited decathlon got a bike measured and home within 1 hour. Ashley the mechanic was fantastic
J. P. M.
High class shopping mall. It has everything, shops, groceries, food courts... go and step in this place
L. R.
Brilliant shopping center very busy today not many seats for elderly & Disabled to sit n rest
C. S.
A 'shopping centre' just like any other, in any city, anywhere. The same high street names selling the same highly advertised products.
Other than being by an interest expanse of water, it could be anywhere.
E. “. P. O. G. W.
Nice vibrant place. Absolutely no provisions made for infection control though.
J. M.
Fantastic shopping mall, all the big stores including an Apple store.
A. M.
Tidy shopping centre staff are polite and helpful. Boy loves it here. Toilets only on top floor, long and painful for single parents. Easier going elsewhere.
A. G. U.
Massive complex, you can probably find anything in there. However, most of the stores I'd like to say are food-oriented.
D. B.
All the big stores you'd expect - M&S, John Lewis, Vision Express, H&M, Pandora, etc., etc. Food court - McDonald's, Pizza Hut, etc. Very close to cinema complex with other food outlets. Lots of car parking available.
S. C.
Parked here for a night at Moxy and actually it's a brilliant shopping centre. Clean and no empty shops. Lots to do, easily navigated, really nice place to shop
M. B.
Nice big shopping centre unfortunately it was very packed which would be expected leading up to Christmas, unfortunately no social distancing which most shopping centre's have in place, so tryig to move around was a nightmare unfortunately most of the eating places even those they had empty tables you were put on a waiting list 20 mins plus so ended up leaving the centre. Worth a vist those
R. G.
Usual retailers here and good selection of restaurants. Best is John Lewis. Some cool architecture next to some very old medieval walls.
A. C.
Signage is confusing because some of the levels are actually outside. Shops all ok though, good access to reasonably priced car park.
K. M.
Busy indoor shopping area. Boutique style clothing stores. High tech and a variety of eateries.
T. P.
Great atmosphere and a lovely shopping experience
A. B.
Clean not to busy lots of high end shops and all open
J. B.
Busy with shoppers today. Managed to purchase what I wanted plus some Christmas presents. Had breakfast at Bill's resturant (very popular) opens early. Afternoon tea a John lewis very nice and a trip to IKEA to finish the day.coukd have keep shopping if I'd had the energy...
A. C.
Food court was hellishly busy as usual but for a Sunday it seemed extraordinarily so. Considering West Quay is currently celebrating its 21st birthday, it still feels fresh, clean and vibrant
A.
Super place Has a great feel to a shopping experience with many outlets both usual and unusual. Nice selection of food outlets. A treat if visiting Southampton. Everything to expect.
P. W.
Good selection of shops, very clean and good parking.
S. J.
Absolutely stunning place I can't wait to go back
T. W. L.
Great place but parking charges are seriously overpriced.
G. T.
I had nice sandwich and pot of tea in the Southampton Waterstones there
I. D. H. C. i. D.
Good range of shops and places to eat
J. M.
Good shops, easy to find, EV charging facility inadequate.
E. E.
Good mall with some good shops... 😅
G. M.
Good but very busy mall, with large John Lewis and Marks & Spencer as anchor tenants and a decent selection of other mostly fashion stores. Decent range of chain restaurants (Wagamama, Pizza Express etc) and fast-food places (McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc) on the top floor. Next door, West Quay South includes a very good cinema, bowling and lots more eating options, including Five Guys, Franco Manca, Real Greek etc.
M. M.
Clean, we'll looked after mall, with excellent parking
B. L.
Great shops, could do with more lifts
C. B.
Having lived in or around Southampton for many years, I can say that West key has always been one of my favourite shopping trips. it has a fantastic John Lewis, lots of great eateries and a lovely clean safe shopping centre.
N. S.
Just love Southampton shopping centre! Always something going on outside - great street eats, great music, loads of lovely places to eat, inside and out! Fantastic shopping too, from Primark /TK Max to high end 💯😍
F. C.
Love the dog water bowls placed near the doors
M. F.
The only thing I missed is the American Shop!!! I wanted to buy some Kisses ☹️
J. H. (.
Westquay is a fairly good shopping center it is clean, has a nice atmosphere and it is always easy to find a parking space. The Mall is spacious and airy and there are quite a few eateries to choose from in there. There is a cinema complex next door full of more places to eat and there is also an exit that leads to the main High Street shops in Southampton. You can also easily get to IKEA while you are parked in this mall even though IKEA has its own parking too
C. W.
It's the first day after the Xmas shut down, and it is busy here. Forget a global Pandemic, everyone is going shopping. We must be crazy. Anyway, lots of shops selling lots of stuff. You choose
M. B.
Nice shopping centre and my nephew loves the pizzahut in there 👍🏼
P. M.
Very enjoyable walking around and away from the rain.
L.
Standard shopping mall - clean, easy layout with lots of options but very busy on a Saturday (struggled to get in and out of shops).
A. M.
Good mall
T. P.
Great shops good quality and choices
I. A.
Easy to get to and lots of variety...
N. W.
Modern, and stylish shopping mall. Good shops. Nice food court upstairs. Gets busy in the afternoons.
G. M.
Only visited next and john lewis. Very empty shops
D. P. S.
Great place of leisure, entertainment and food in Southampton city centre, we went their to spend sometime before our hotel check-in. The place has an entire level with different food options from all sorts.
There is a Waitrose also.
K. C. A.
Good wide varied range of shops
E. G.
Lovely, beautifully decorated for Christmas...not over crowded, every
everyone who served you were pleasant & helpful...our 1st day shopping for over 18mths was totally enjoyed 😉 😀
M. B.
Clean great selection best to go weekday evenings very calm and a great experience
P. B.
Great place for shopping in Southampton, plenty of parking places, good brand shops, gr8 food court
J. S.
Can get crowded. Nearly of shops you can think of. Car park at the bottom restaurants and fast food at the top. Leads straight out onto the highstreet or on to the new Westquay where all the restaurants are. Not too far from the train station. Plenty of bus routes too.
R.
It needs improvements, it’s very busy for such a small city there are a lot of people here even when it’s not a weekend, it has most of the basic stores and it’s the centre is kind of like an airport. However there is no seatings areas inside you need to buy something from the cafe to be able to sit down.
R. P.
Another example of a well known shopping centre being used by the public.
S. B.
Many shops and cafes. Clean and well staffed
K. D.
My 16yr daughter loves her shopping trips here , and if she's happy so am i😅👍
L. J.
It's a shopping centre. They have a wide selection of food and shopping, what more do you want? It was a bit crowded but you can live with it.
T. B.
Huge shopping center with many different shops and restaurants.
s. h.
Good selection of outlets, compliments those in the High Street.
M. J.
The best Shopping Centre there is! 👍 you get all your shopping done in one place (no need to worry about the weather) and it's amazing 🤩 John Lewis on it's own have got some great brands (designer) within the store and then there are all the rest of your regular high street stores (Zara, Next etc) and the restaurants just outside of the shopping centre are great quality. Tried pizza and Greek cousine and it was beautiful 😍 definitely my favourite spot for shopping from now on! And well worth the drive 😉
S. K.
Great place to shop and have a meal v
P. J.
Very nice shopping Mall and good parking
A. O.
Wear face mask before entering, used alco gel, follow flow crowd traffic. Lovely Christmas decors.
n.
Great place to visit and the parking prices are reasonable
T. M.
Best thing about the place is you can come here with your dog.
G. F.
First time here and there were a lot of shops and a lot of restaurants. Long may it last.
A. G.
Nice shops and restaurants many places you can go too eat ✌️✌️✌️👊😝😝with your friends or mates
R. C.
Nicely decorated for Christmas, with the German style market right outside. Plenty of shops to browse along with assorted eateries.
L. S.
What a great shopping centre. Probably the best i have visited in the UK. Has everything you need and lots of food options. Clean, well planned out and lots of security etc about.
M. M.
Superb place to Park if Visiting Southampton, over Bridge abd straight into an area of vibrant Restaurants and only a Short walking distance to City Centre, whilst having a Huge shopping centre.
A. j.
So much choice from shops to food, it has everything you need for a day out shopping
S. S.
Went to west quay shopping centre and now i am reviewing it
V.
Large variety of shops. Lost my phone once and staff helped me find it.
B. M.
Amazing place but never fully explored
L. M.
Prefer to shop here than Fareham town centre. All the big names clean and well kept plenty of places to eat free parking for 3hrs. Fareham could learn something from your great example.
V. G.
Enjoyed shopping here shame that the toilets were out of use
D. W.
Everything open, less than 50% of weekday shoppers wearing masks.
R. G.
Very busy as always. Good selection of stores.
S. S.
Great place to spend a day out.
D. L.
Great place if you love shopping
K. B.
Now easy to get around and has anything you want. Was very busy w/e before pandemic.
Y. S.
Best place to shop and leisure around
A. R.
Nice shopping centre, good selection of shops and big range of food outlets
L. H.
All your shopping in one place, with plenty to do while visiting the city of Southampton, food hall at the top of the main hall with every type of food to be purchased to suit every palette. If your after entertainment then West Quay has it's own cinema. To sum it all up what ever the weather you will find West Quay has it all.
N.
Great place for all your home and personal needs.
M. s.
Clean and fun atmosphere in here, plenty of coffee
O. S.
Great place to shop and experience the city's vibrant
Scene, friendly people and clean area.
Plenty of seating outside to enjoy a drink and food vendors.
L. H.
One of the escalators is out, notice said to use lift which are already heavily used so lots of people squeezed in a lift some without masks was not ideal. Toilets were ok, one had diarrhoea in it. The newer toilets on street level have those super noisy toilets which my daughter cannot stand the noise of. Great idea to save the planet but not for everyone who might have sensory issues.
J. S.
Most shops now open some queuing to get in and out at checkout. Face masks required and hand gell in use in some shops.
A. T.
Everything under 1 roof. Enough space to move, even when it's packed with shoppers! The selection of stores is more than adequate. Retail therapy paradise! I can't fault it.
I. W.
I was pleased to find a well-established one-way system, with red stickers on the floor reminding us to stay 2 metres apart. Also, all the shops had hand sanitizer. Very reassuring.
O. P.
Plenty of parking and variety of stores, but always busy. A lot of food outlets to pick from.
R. T. (. W.
I hate being here if I am honest. It is a modern shopping mall with a wide range of shops, but it is also an enclosed space with lots of people around. Didn't feel safe. Not where I want to be, post Covid.
B. R.
Stopped for food, plenty of choice, average quality. Can't complain.
D. S.
Lovely large airy space with plenty of shops, didn't feel crowded at all convenient parking. Nice food court and clean toilet area.
C. D.
Nice upmarket place with no empty shops & plenty of reasonably priced parking
A. W.
The centre is clean, nicely spread out. A fair few of the shops have closed sadly but still a good range of shops. Overall a nice little day out.
D. F.
Good shopping centre with good amount of shops, places to eat and very clean.
Well patrolled from security as well not given five stars as parking is expensive
D. S.
All-you-could-want shopping in one location. Mall shopping as well as light industry shopping for bigger stores.
Parking in the multi-storey carpark is a bargain at £5 for the whole day.
N. R.
Good range of shops and restaurants in the food court
S.
One of my favorite shopping centers on the UK very nice.
O. N.
Lovely place to shop. Loads of parking space as well
C. B.
A few empty shops recently but still a good place to go for essentials.
H. C.
West Quay is as you might expect. It's a fairly large shopping center with many high street brands in and a large food court. I'm a fan of Yo Sushi and the waiting staff in there are always nice and efficient, and the other restaurants are also nice as there's a range of cuisines. I wouldn't visit many of the fashion only stores in there anymore as fast fashion is not something I buy into much anymore. It can get pretty busy and is not all that pleasant when it is rammed but as main shopping hub in the city you can't really expect much else.
B. G.
Very busy for half-term
G. L.
Good distancing markers and one way flow, and good monitoring of shopper numbers in each shop
L. S.
Yes good shopping experience especially for Xmas presents. Always find a good selection of goodies in John Lewis.
e.
Everything you need and has improved over the years. Great nursing facilities
B. B.
Good shopping centre and multi storey car park about 20 minutes walk from the Ocean Village. We charged our EV for free whilst parked and it cost us a fiver (over 4 hours). Bargain!
S. A.
A fantastic shopping centre with massive choice of restaurants. Loved my visit here. One of the best shopping centres I've been too.
C. M.
Bright, clean, modern mall with a good range of shops.
K. G.
Too big and noisy for me. Stopped in M & S for coffee and lost my Bank card after payment. Most odd. Coffee shop all good, nice staff.
J. C.
Great day out. Lots to shop and eat
F. M.
Nice place, many shops and everything you need when shopping (like drinks and food).
N. L.
Lovely place for relax with #family
G. D.
Lovely place walking through everyone kept apart very clean definitely going back
E. H.
Was hoping to find Mother of the Groom outfit. Gave up was expecting more from Southampton.
M. G.
Lots of decent shops and places to eat with a few market type stalls amongst it all.
S.
Still a good place to shop..big John Lewis too .M and S as well as many other shops all under cover.
Y. T.
Nice premises + friendly service + many food options but of poor quality = to nice experience!
s. r.
Just love this place so many different shops and restaurants.
A. R.
Lovely shopping centre with a food court on the top floor.
M. W.
Good range of shops and restaurants.
I like that West Quay fits a lot of shops together and feel like a part of the high street, so shopping here doesn't feel like a trek.
Unlike some shopping centres it always seems to have a full quota of occupied shops. And if one is closed it's because a new one is on the way and is being kitted out.
Pre-pandemic there was a range of causal indoor seating, but this has been replaced with extra space for queuing. So I'm sure that will come back again at some point.
D. N. (. N.
It's ok. Same old mix of boring retailers
B. N.
Typical huge shopping complex. Very much used to it
G. N.
Lovely shops.
A. R.
Nice to see they've put in new toilets downstairs now which is very welcome as there are no public toilets outside the shopping centres. Lovely shops to browse around.
F. L. L.
Very nice and big shopping centre.
J. M.
Really felt safe Very clean. Only went to John Lewis but worth for a bit of normality. Other local shopping centres could learn alot from the freedom west quay gives its customers. Rather than treating them like cattle like Gunwharf quays does.
C. C.
Great new baby change facilities opposite Next. Include private rooms for feeding, a separate large baby change room with more nursing chairs, nappy change, sink and microwave for baby food heating.
P. M.
All your shopping needs under one roof, plenty of choice for food
F. H.
Not too busy so quite enjoyed the experience
D. S.
Fantastic Johnlewis store very clean and friendly staff
J. T.
Great place to shop and eat with good choice of shops.
K. D.
Landmark shopping centre in central Southampton.
Visited today to view the external space at Westquay South and was very impressed.
Large open space imaginatively split into different areas on different levels.
Excellent blend of old town walls, modern spaces and stand out, signature architecture.
J. S.
Really enjoying this shopping centre. It is clean and lots of shops for an individuals taste
K. j.
Bright spacious place to shop and eat
j. g.
Better than most shopping centres these days, still has decent occupancy, and big names like John Lewis help make it an obvious mecca for shoppers...
P. L.
Great shopping centre, plenty of shops, easy parking and all under cover.
N. P.
Great for shopping, huge assortment of shops.
B. W.
Lots of restaurants to choose from on the top floor. Parking was very good. However lack of toy shops was annoying.
N. C.
Mid week was nice and quiet with everything you need
S. F.
Typical shopping centre lots of high street shops and places to eat
J. E.
Walked through on a Thursday early evening. Busy & vibrant with lots of shops, bars & restaurants. Wish Portsmouth Cascades were more like this....
L. C.
Have everything that you need to find, having to ware masks in the precinct can be a bit hot,and over welling.
S. A.
It is amazing. And even better they allow dogs. My dog had the biggest smile on his face when he was allowed in
g. o.
A place full of shops and shoppers..not a good place to go for a nap
M. S.
Only visited Zizzi was great lovely food great service
K. M.
Good shopping centre, excellent parking facilities. Good choice of shops. Love the John Lewis.
P. A.
Not keen on the undercroft parking but what frustrates me is that if you park outside BSA Regal on the meter, SSC charge £1 for an hour but £2.50 for two hours. DISGUSTING!! No wonder town is less popular SSC are driving custom away. Shame on them !
T. P.
A busy place, plenty of food retailers to choose from
I. B.
Not enough toilet compared to the size of the please and amount of people
B. P.
Went here with the wife at xmas it was very busy but that was to be expected, have a great time playing on the Ice Rink
R. H.
Fantastic range of shops and eateries.
S. S. N.
Nice mall with many brands/shops, even better with the addition of multiple restaurants. Only one arcade/bowling alley so not much in terms of activities.
D. M. (.
Large place, got a great food court variety. Id like to see a better map/navigation system with touch screens.
D. G.
Dislike over crowded, don't go there unless I have to not recommended 😒😒 that's just my opinion though. Suffering from high anxiety 🙃 has i do, definitely not recommended for people who suffer from the same problem, but great 👍 place to shop for people who don't suffer from the above complaint.
B. O. (.
Amazing shopping centre. Just don't park in the hugely expensive NCP car park. There are so many shops, you'll need a whole day to get round!
r.
Great shopping centre all in a very close proximity!!!, much better than shopping in Bournemouth!!!, big stores and eateries as well as smaller shops.
