Bought my son a scuba diving taster session and he loved it! The staff are so professional and safety was always number 1 priority throughout. Fully recommend!

I went to the discovery taster lesson to get a feel for scuba diving also what the team are about and who they are. From turning up to Denstone college felt at ease, there was a range of people on the taster day from all ages, even young kids. Which shows its open to most ages. After this taster day i signed up to the open water course. After our pool session, i couldn't attend the open water day as pre booked plans, again darren was flexible and understood and allowed me join the next OW weekend. I passed the open water course last weekend and was back out this week end recreational diving, i hired the kit off darren Highly recommend darren and the team if you want scuba dive, i wouldn't look no further

Darren is an amazing diving instructor! He and Katy started my diving journey from OW and helped me progress through to becoming an instructor. Not only have they got got an abundance of experience, they're both passionate about the sport and educating people about our fragile ocean environment. They manage to deliver all of this in a fun, friendly, lighthearted environment. I cannot recommend them enough! Great people!!

I can’t recommend Scuba Courses UK and Darren highly enough. I have undertaken 8 courses with Darren since 2011, and so I speak from experience in saying that the quality of the instruction and the equipment is second-to-none. I really can’t recommend anyone better to teach you dive skills. They taught me over 7 years ago and the enthusiasm and professionalism is second to non. I am now a PADI instructor myself, something I would not have done if it wasn’t for the passion they showed. My son is now learning to dive and when he is nervous Katy is amazing at helping him through and finding his courage to take on the harder tasks. Darrren Mcnamara is one of the best diving instructors I have met in my diving career. Darren is a highly regarded PADI Course Director, so you can be assured that the standards offered within any course content he teaches will be of extremely high quality. Darren trained me as a diver, and now as a PADI MSDT myself, I have suffered zero incidents in over 3000 dives because of the experience he shared and the thorough way the courses he taught were delivered in my early training with Darren. There are many "would be's if they could be's" in this industry. Forget the rest and dive with the best. I have been on many diving courses with Darren through the years and he is the most passionate and patient instructor I have seen, he knows everything there is to know about scuba diving and is always looking to organise a dive trip at any opportunity, if you choose to train with Darren rest assured you will have a awesome introduction to the diving world and be wanting more, my wife recently trained with him and she had a bad start in diving with not having the best school training her, she was reluctant to train with anybody else due to this experience but I said Darren is the man to help you gain confidence and have a better experience. He has worked wonders with her, he was very patient and understanding as she was nervous getting back into the water, by the end of the day she was comfortable, calm and even maybe starting to enjoy it ! she is now wanting to go diving more and we are currently planning a trip to scapa flow ! My wife and I Learnt to dive with Darren and Katy as part of a wedding gift, and what a gift it has been! Since studying PADI Open Water and then Advanced we have ventured into Mexican Cenotes, The outer barrier reef, Thailand, Kenya and many other far flung destinations. Not forgetting the cold waters of the UK with some amazing dry suit diving in Padstow!
