Reviews of Designer Outlet York
F. V.
Great place to shop! It’s indoors so temperature controlled, very well managed. Spacious parking!
M. P.
It was probably one of the best iv been too if I'm honest. But walking around in suit shoes is very hard work. The floor is like an ice rink. Far too much polish.... I lost count of how many time I nearly fell over. Wear trainers or shoes with decent grip if you go.
M. M.
It’s beautiful place for kids and family. Especially there is a prayer place those don’t want to miss your prayer while you shopping. Prayer place guide: escalator to first floor then turn right. Walk till end then turn left second door. It’s says quite room.
Thanks to management team for this facility
J. A.
Always call in here on the way to the coast. Good shopps and food outlets. Pizza Express always does a great service and choice of menu. The staff are great as well, very helpful and friendly.
J. M.
Everything you would expect a designer Outlet to be.
Easy to find just follow the signs and work out were to park.
Lots of parking and big car parks as well.
Went to fo in Joe Brown's. Still lots to go and explore so we will be going again soon. Winters coming!
S. J.
Very impressive outlet village. Having visited several others around the country. This one certainly must rank as one of the best. It's clean, spacious, customer friendly. Reminds me of the upmarket shopping malls of Chicago.
The layout of the place is wonderful. Can't wait to visit again. Very helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of free car parking.
N. D.
Always a pleasant atmosphere and not too packed with shoppers. Not a massive shopping centre but quite relaxed and always clean. Has plenty of free parking on offer in relative close proximity to the outlet. Easily accessible straight off the A64 / A19.
P. D.
Fairly quiet on the Monday we visited compared to previous visits. Managed to get my car on charge although there are only 2 type 2 connectors and 2 3 pin plugs and a rapid charger at the moment there are signs up saying they will be installing 14 new chargers soon.
j. m.
Great days shopping, bargains galore. Very clean and spacious, well worth a visit. Shops for everyone and prices are fab. Parking is free and everywhere, no waiting or searching for a space. South car park easily parks the largest of motor homes. Would definitely go again if I was in Yorkshire.
M. A.
I like how this mall is various , sometimes I can’t find my size here , it is not big mall but big enough. You can find here about six restaurants in the second floor, if you you want to take the bus it will be bus number 7 , they have a nice park next to the mall .
C. W.
Quite a nice outlet really, great parking, easy to get in,easy to get out and a pretty good mix of shops, not really my thing , but I do appreciate this outlet for all above reasons and I have shopped here several times before, it's not I don't like shopping,I just don't like watching other people shop, it's a husband and wife thing, I'm sure you've experienced the same thing.🥰
M. O.
Perfect for those wanting designer clothing. Parking is straightforward and free. You can even use the park and ride the short distance into York for the price of the bus fare. There are plenty of designer shops to choose from and many were offering reasonable discounts when we visited.
D. W.
Nice shopping centre. A large number of designer shops with good range. Some reasonable buys although you tend to have to know what you wamt and drop on.
Worth a visit and a mouch
M. D.
Well signposted right through to car parks. Very spacious and neat inside, with plenty of casual seating areas. Plenty of toilet facilities. Outdoor space for kids, couple of food vans and picnic areas. Upstairs eateries, also kept clean and tidy.
L. J.
Lovely shopping centre to visit. There were little stalls outside and a skating rink along with a seating area so you could possibly have a drink/food or even just chill out on. Inside there are plenty of shops clothing, jewellery, cadburys chocolate and plenty of other ranges. There are different food restaurants and all of what I have named are spread over two floors. It is clean and tidy. I would travel there again.
M. B.
Brilliant disabled parking and plenty of choice and space to eat upstairs in the food court.
An excellent range of shops for all budgets and amazing staff throughout... We love coming here all year round but particularly at Christmas time when the fair, grotto and ice rink is up and running. Just perfect 💖
P. j. S.
Great shops great space to be plenty of eateries on the food hall level good amount of shops to see and plenty of bargains to be had
J. L.
Appealing, easy to walk round, well set out outlet centre on the outskirts of York with various free car parks and restaurants and fast food upstairs. Not hard to spend a few hours here and enjoy browsing and picking up the odd bargain. Not cheap, for the most part, but light, airy and appealing.
M. W.
Lots of great stores but the bargains have disappeared. Once upon a time you could get some amazing bargains, like you'd expect at an outlet. Now, you can quite often find just as good a deal or better if you shop on line.
P. M.
Is what it says. Plenty of shops; eateries; and parking. Clean and tidy. Kids free play park outside. Park and ride into York. Feels safe with security about. All in all if you like shopping and eating a good afternoon on a rainy day
O. A.
Plenty of decent shops, and nothing quite like it for miles.
In addition, the food court has a number of great options too.
If you have kid's, there's a children's play area just outside the main entrance. Right next to it is one of the best ice cream vendors I've ever had ice cream from... definitely worth a try.
Lots of parking, clean toilet facilities.
Not as great as Bicester Shopping Village but have never been to York Designer Outlet and NOT bought something
P. P.
It's all undercover unlike sone if it's 'sister' sites, ie Cannock. Good choice of branded stores available. Some outdoor seating available also a kids play area.
A. R.
Great place to go any time off the year. Great selection of shops, always bargains to be had and lots of luxury brand names.
On of my all time favourite places to go shopping.
Plus if it's bad washer it's all inside.
Tonnes of parking too. 👍🏻
S. Q.
Lovely and clean, bright and airy. Good selection of shops, some not that discounted but good nevertheless. Great selection of places to eat upstairs. Quick free easy parking.
L. L.
Nice outlet store to spend time on weekend 😁
M. S.
Lots of shops - your standard designer outlet ones - but really spacious and clean with some excellent eateries on the food court floor or outside. However, I'm always a bit dubious about how much you're saving in places and shops like these...but..hey, if you want to pay it, you'll pay it. Large children's play area.and it currently has a beach and roller skate park (for an extra cost).
H. R.
Usually go to the outlet at Livingston, but as we were in the area decided to go. Really nice shopping centre, lots of really good retailers with something for everyone and great choice of restaurants upstairs. Possibly the best 5 Guys we've ever had.
P. S.
Easy to get to from the motorway....plenty of parking and toilet facilities. The outlet is in abnormal shape so you can get lost or find it hard to locate certain shops....however it was a pleasant experience with a variety of shops to shop at....some good eating places up stairs and easy to access
J. L.
Great selection of shops whatever you're looking for, with plenty of bargains to be had (especially at Joe Browns!). Great choice of places to eat and drink. Very impressed with the Outlet and will definitely return soon.
B. L.
Great selection of shops and food places. I noticed the elevator was getting refurbished on my visit today but unsure when it’s going to be back up and running. Shops vary from chocolate shops, to gift shops, to top brand clothing shops. A great place for all!
K. T.
It’s ok. Not as good as Cheshire Oaks, but is more local to me. Plenty of parking, but the food area is usually very busy with queues. Some vacant shops which they could do with filling to give more variety
M. J.
Absolutely amazing. We didnt realise how big this outlet was until we entered. There is so many stores and so much to choose from. Many stores you wouldn't come across on the high-street. Great food court upstairs with a huge variety to select from.
C. D.
Last time I visited York was 5 years ago and I parked on the outskirts of the city centre and paid the hefty charge for parking. This time I decided to use one of the many advertised park and ride options and took the bus into town (£3.50 return and a free child ticket). Arriving on site we stayed on the left lane so ended up the furthest away from the bus as the divider on the floor does not let you change lanes and there was plenty of parking but we were on the opposite side of the complext. Bummer! Will remember that next time. Bear right!! However, it gave us the chance to also explore the Outlet. Toilets were clean and modern and it's a very spacious site inside and out. There is a lovely outdoor but covered play area for kids and lots of designer shops. It is wheelchair friendly with plenty of blue badge spaces close to the entrance. The bus is easy to find and goes every 15 mins or so. I will use it again.
K. G.
It's no Cheshir Oaks but it had lots of shops to chose from. The centre is lively and clean. It is split over 2 level with east access to both floors. There is ample parking & lots of choice for a quick bite to eat.
G. 6.
Huge shopping centre with good range of shops and places to eat. Very clean. Easy access off York ring road. Big car park. Some good prices. Would definitely pop in again.
S. S.
Average at best. Not really a designer outlet but a standard shopping mall. Plenty of parking on site. A few decent shops, but nothing special. Hotel Chocolat, Menkind, a few make up shops and etc
Huge Adidas and Nike stores but standard selection, nothing worth while really when I visited. Adidas seemed better for variety. Nike store was poor and it was a madness in there, stuff was in a mess!
Otherwise, they have an awesome christens play area outside next to a carousel! Not certain if this is seasonal or dependent on summer holidays but it looked like children were enjoying it a lot!
Worth a visit if you’re nearby but not enough to travel to for a long drive.
L.
It's a typical shopping outlet, fewer closed shops, but despite that the choices available are not as rich as they were ten years ago. It's a bad time for the retailers everywhere.
The upper floor is full of eateries, most well known franchises.
There are eateries and cafes on the ground floor, too.
Huge car park just off a major A road roundabout.
Some concessions are in the car park, some are seasonal. In Summer there is a carousel, and a place selling coffee, milkshakes and English pancakes (they call them crêpes, but they're too thick for proper French crêpes. However, they are still hot and delicious). Themed facilities are available at Halloween, Christmas etc.
It's one of the better outlets, still vibrant and buzzing. It makes Wakefield city center and it's shopping centers look like graveyards.
M. B.
Good brands, always busy. The carpark is a bit awkward, with an effective one-way system, so if you have picked an area that is full, you really have to start again. Could maybe do with some signs indicating spaces remaining to help guide traffic
J. W.
Lots of parking, most of which is very close to entrances. Great selection of shops, most of which are in York City centre, but the outlet stock the same and similar items and sell them for cheaper. UGG store has a heavily reduced section with prices cheaper than online. Denby outlet sells second which to my eye have almost no imperfections. A large selection of places to eat on the second floor, and a few choice of coffee&cake places on the first floor. Lots of comfy seating to take a break in-between shopping, and lots of toilets also.
d. t.
Air conditioned shopping outlet that is all under cover. Plenty of different choices to choose if eating here and lots of bargains to be had when shopping. Its usually quieter on evenings too if you dont like it crowded
M. S.
Travelled a long way for a day out and didn’t disappoint! Great selection of shops and restaurants/fast food places. Spent all day here, definitely recommend
j. w.
Very very busy but it was a bank holiday. I only nipped in to use the loo and lost my bearings and came out on the other side. I'd say it looked a good shopping centre and if my husband hadn't been so impatient I would have lingered. It was bad enough I came out of the wrong exit and he had to find me 😂
K. E.
Not much to say, a shopping centre just outside of york. Direct bus route from York to here probably takes about 10minutes. Could have a bit more variety of shops however if you know what you're getting then it has its purpose.
T.
Excellent shopping.
Will definitely go again first thing (about 10ish) mid week when kids at school it was so lovely to shop as not busy & pleasant to walk around & plenty of seats for a quiet coffee & bite to eat.
D. B.
Very busy car park on the Sunday we went although still able to find a space, just. Need to get there early otherwise you could have a painful experience. Or try the dedicated bus from the train that we did before. Super selection of shops, but prices seem to be rising, not quite what we were expecting.
N. B.
It's a "designer outlet", so you probably know what to expect. Basically a bunch of shops and a dozen cafes.
Loads of stuff to buy or ignore.
Some end of range stuff, quite a few size 8 and size 22 frocks.
I bought a toaster!
M. B.
Nice place ,you can buy whatever you want!
H. W.
Great day out shopping. Good variety of stores. Much better than the one at Junction 28 on the M1 due to the various shops
A. T.
Pretty much what you'd.. expect easy to find with ample parking. Good choice of shops with some good savings over high Street prices to be had.
A. R.
Not bad but just another outlet with prices not that much diffrent than their main shops. Don't get me wrong there are some bargins. It's a good way to attract the shopper who would never enter their store on the high Street.
P. P.
Good choices of branded shops to look for bargains. Food court on the top floor. Social distancing observe with one way flow around the building! Ample parking around the whole area.
J. S.
Was very good but could've been more shops.
J. L.
I'm not into designer stuff but as we were staying just down the road at Naburn Lock decided to get the bus there for an hour. Very spacious and clean. Bargain favourite chocolates just going out of date at Hotel Chocolat
D. H.
Nice day out when we were staying close by all inside, reminded me of a small trafford centre. Food court up stairs I recommend the fish and chips. Only give a 4* because we have Cheshire oaks designer outlet near where we live and it's alit better.
D. M.
went on the hottest day of the year so far, inside was cool and the shops were busy even on a Tuesday. After something to eat in the upstairs food court we went outside with a coffee and a sat in the what was 41° heat for 5 mins before back to the car and aircon.
S. O.
Good parking, plenty of shops, you can shop in the rain.
Plenty of food places upstairs were you can sit down have a drink and a meal.
C. S.
Good selection of branded stuff, the toilets are very far apart the only down side. One way system due to covid restrictions. Antibacterial gel are all over the shops and upon entering the premises you have to que up as only limited people are allowed.
A. N.
Great place to shop indoors. I've always managed to grab bargains in every trip this year. Most recently sales ends 14th August 2022
C. J.
Food very expensive. Went to get a jacket with cheese and beans. Nearly £8. So went subway...toaster wasnt working. Had to go maccies who couldn't follow simple instructions on the order. Shops are ok but expensive. Not normal outlet prices. Even the works was stupid money.
C. F.
Lovely modern designer outlet shopping centre.
Very clean. Good array of stores. Good amount of parking. Lovely food court.
A. P.
Following family day went shopping here. Managed to get a few items from tommy hilfiger sketchers and ugg. Made some savings on items but remember it's outlet so not up to date stock. But if your not bothered worth a mooch about.
P. C.
Free parking, lots of shops, good prices, clean and presentable. There's nothing not to like! Can park and ride into York from here too.
P. G.
Great shopping. Went in the evening so it wasn't so busy but a shame the eating places close at the same time as the shops so we had to find somewhere else for dinner
R. M.
My parents made up a picnic as lots of Green outdoor space,All one level inside so nice & easy to walk
C. M.
I have been to a few outlets and I must confess this is one of my favorites. Not too big but a good selection of stores.
A. N.
One of my favourite outlets... I don't like shopping but I'm visiting nearly every month.. great stores, plenty of parking spaces and I always found something I like there.
C. F.
Great location, loads of free parking (including Park and ride into York) undercover kids play area, great selection of places to eat and shops from Haribo to Ralph Lauren
a. c.
Nice outlet, plenty of shops, lots of bargains, very busy in the weekend, many attractions for kids, plenty restaurants to chose from, very clean all around.
L. O.
I love shoppi ng here. Lots of classy shops.
.plenty of coffee shops and eateries upstairs Its clean and airy. Plenty care parking space .
M. M.
Great place with plenty of free parking, nice selection of shops with sales on all the time on designer clothing brands. Plenty of choice in the upstairs food court
P. R.
Easy parking, good selection of shops found a outlet with amazing diffusers wish I had purchased more
t. p.
Good day out with the Mrs... Good selection of stores to browse.
Plenty parking nice clean tidy site.
N. W.
Just another large clothing outlet, nothing caught the eye.
M. E.
Really like this outlet.
Good selection of shops and prices are very reasonable.
Love Lindt and Haribo shop and a really good Yankee candle shop.
Penhaligon perfume shop is amazing.
Very airy inside, seating dotted around the outlet and places you can stop for coffee and have lunch upstairs.
Will be visiting at Christmas.
P. g.
Nice walk round some very good shops and restaurants plenty of places to sit down too.
D. M.
Nice place and a good selection of shops, parking was a struggle due to car parks being very full.
S. L.
Plenty of parking lots of toilets plenty of shops at reduced prices. A small food court with enough for most to be happy.
D. O.
Good selection of shops and outlets. Centre is cleaned to a high standard. It was nice to see a Bubble CiTea stall!!.
i. s.
Got to give it 5 stars as my wife managed to find lots of bargains in store. Bank manager would prefer I gave it one star!
V. A.
Love this shopping centre especially sketchers I can get my arch fit shoes from lots of bargains to be had, lovely play area for kids and ample parking
K. B.
Very little choice if you're looking for children's clothes- however place was clean and ample parking
A. j.
Beautiful and worth the visit
j. N.
Great place to shop. With loads of designer brands under one roof. There are little cars ypu can rent to push your little one around in and a food court upstairs with plenty to choose from, fast foood to sit down restaurants. Theres plenty of toilets never had to que for and are always really clean and tidy. The outlet its.self is always clean and tidy, sometimes parking can be a problem as it gets really busy on certain days like Christmas times or bank holidays.
P. K.
Great place to shop and eat, staff are very friendly and give great advice on where to get things.
J.
Great Outlet centre, plenty of food, plenty of parking and a great selection of shops with some good bargains.
P. R.
Not quite as good as Cheshire Oaks but comparable with Clarks Outlet (Street) and a whole lot better than the tourist trap Bicester (Oxford).
S. C.
Easy access with plenty of easy parking. The centre was light and airy. We visited midweek and there were only a few visitors. All the shops were light, spacious and welcoming. Shops are in a circular layout with a good selection of eateries on the first floor. We are not keen on shopping but would happily go back when the need arises.
R. F.
Didn’t actually do any shopping here but passed through for the park and ride. Looks like some good shops and will probably visit next Christmas. Plenty of parking! The winter wonderland was good but very pricey!!!
P. H.
Good selection of shops, plenty of parking. Good day out if you want some retail therapy
U.
Gets pretty quiet after December but prices really are competitive. Save a little money and you can easily afford a branded item by the end of the month. No Next though. Even the crowd is different from your other shopping centres, everybody puts on their best outfits to come here! Quiet room available. As well as great corner tea rooms.
S. S. H. Y. (. H. H.
Great shopping centre which we highly recommend to out guests, only being an 8 minute drive from us. Free parking and an added bonus having the park and ride to go into the centre of York. We and our guests love the variety of shops and food options and is worth a visit even on a wet or windy day as its all indoors. 5*
G. M.
I am an elderly man, and needed to refresh my wardrobe, since I have changed shape and shrunken in height. My son suggested a trip to this outlet. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety, and the prices, especially that there was a further discount on offer at the time. I came away with two pairs of new trousers, sweater, 4 shirts, and a gilet. Very satisfying; a good experience, with very helpful staff, and my wardrobe is refreshed. Recommended.
A.
Good outlet for shopping. Has well-known brands with fairly reduced prices. It doesn't have many restaurant choices though.
E. W.
Lovely place to shop. Lots of choice. Good eateries . Clean and not too busy. Easy to park. All inside so rain wont affect your shopping experience. Good place to come for a bargain.
M. F.
Absolutely stunning little park with fabulous Riverside walk. The tea room had a delicious selection of food and drink available.
The car park wasn't the easiest thing to find though! Just follow signs for the Caravan Park is what I would suggest!
M. W.
Pretty good. I live in Dubai so malls are a big part of my life in the summer. This felt so dinky! Whilst the family shopped, I took part in a conf. Call in the guest lounge which was so useful.
Some well curated shops. I liked the Paul Smith shop a lot.
Nice bargains, clean, well looked after. A bit fiddly getting in by car.
We ate from fisherman's wife and it was superb service, quality and value.
S. C.
Lots of nice shops and many bargains to be had. Not too big so you can get round everything.
J. L.
The wife loved it here!! Enough shops to keep her busy for a number of hours…. Hit to the bank balance though! Park just outside for the kids too and we had no trouble getting parked.
C. W. C.
We arrived at 9:30 am. The atmosphere was calm and perfect for you to hunt for bargains. There are plenty of free parking spaces. We will definitely come back here again.
D. A.
Great shopping outlet, there are a plethora of shops including lots of high end outlets. Each of the shops we visited had fantastic prices and offered lots of value for money.
The whole shopping centre had a relaxing feel about it and we felt very welcome.
N. C.
Good place for shopping but too little restaurant. need to wait for a long time to get a seat in lunchtime
A. B.
First time I visited this outlet. We drove about an hour and 30 mins from Chesterfield. Its worth a visit. I love the place its clean and not too crowded on a Saturday. Most people still wearing masks. Load of designers shop compare from the other outlet I've been before. Will come again in future.
D. “. S.
I love it here. Some brilliant shops that are genuine outlets with reduced prices.
H. L.
Lot of shops, lots of discounts, free parking and close to York. I would recommend but be warned you could easily end up spending a lot!!
There is also a food court but we didn't go to it or see what's there was it on the upper floor, so can't comment on that.
K. T.
Great place to shop. Lots of shops, restaurants and entertainment on site
K. S.
Visiting for shopping and food. Lots of choice of shops and very clean. We ate at Eds diner the staff were friendly and the food tasted great. Well priced, will visit again
J. W.
OK if you like this sort of thing...I like a few shops. Recommended to wear masks but hardly anyone did.Quite busy,wk before Easter.Good choices for lunch and plenty of places for a decent coffee. Meh ok..
D. B.
Lovely experience shopping on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Lots of high quality shops Alll in one place make the trio always worthwhile. Especially love that play area to keep little ones amused whilst a grown up spends
A. S.
Was on way back to derby from Scarborough and decided to visit. Not been here for over 10 years. Parked ok. Great place, better than East Mids outlet. Purchased what I wanted. Very clean toilets
R. O.
Great indoor shopping experience with many food outlets on the upper level too!
T. D.
Covid protected
Not many shoppers about on my visit.
Just bought lindt chocolates..
Over priced.
On this visit.
Clean as usual.
A. T.
Clean, not too crowded, didn't have the clothes or earings, I wanted. plenty of parking, disabled access. Tried a burger in 5 Guys. It was delicious.
N. 6.
We haven't been there for quite a few years so called in to see what had changed. Was slightly disappointed to see that alot of favourites had gone. Won't be rushing back.
D. R.
The best range of shops in Yorkshire in my opinion! the range of men's clothing shops especially good. Food court is great and parking easy.
S. W.
Visited Yorkshire winter wonderland. It is a great day out. Ice skating, fairground rides & Santa's Grotto & Enjoy a hot chocolate in the chalet. ❄⛸🐧🎄
D. P.
Lots of friends have raved about this place so had to see what it was about. It was ok but as someone who mostly shops online I didn't find the prices any cheaper to be honest.
M. D.
Very nice, bright and clean shopping centre with a very good choice of stores and eateries on the 2nd floor. Car park was easily accessible and plenty of parking available.
j. w.
Bit of a mixed bag. Some high end shops but most outlets for M & S and the like. These are OK if you are XXL or above or at the other end - small size. Normal sizes are sold out in mainstream stores.
Good range of fast food outlets on the upper level.
R. T.
Great time good shop friendly people but bit more expensive than I thought
B.
Great range of shops, clean inside and out, confusing to get around, not a lot of signage for first time visitors
J. B.
Just another out of town shopping center nothing special... its clean well lit good choice of same shops as any other center
G. C.
a bit mediocre, nothing wow! stores were a little odd. all staff were friendly and clean toilets but i wouldn’t take a trip unless i needed something
bus routes and clear signage, with a good range of shops
lots of parking available (free)
P. S.
A shopping centre that leans heavy towards clothing shops. Also has a park and ride area for York city centre.
D. B.
Good selection of shops ideal for a good afternoon out. Centre spotless with plenty of parking too. One of the best outlet villages
S. E.
Superb shopping mall full of high end designer shops all under one roof. Bargain galore to be had throughout. A little chilly today as air conditioning a little severe. Get there early to avoid the crowds and queues especially the queues in Ralph Lauren where they limit entry of customers. Also to get a parking space as many who arrive later end up abandoning their cars on grass verges
B. c. m.
Was there on a Saturday, thinking it would of being busy ,but it wasn't tht bad , had a great time shopping there and it's all inside , but not much for my 3 year old , there's not a proper toy shop there or nothing for younger kids ,so it's a long day for them , next time we go we're leave thm with there nan !!
m. w.
Great parking and range of eats. Lots of shops to explore and most units are occupied. The Fred Perry is always a must for bargain. Allow a good 2 to 3 hours to tour, then you can always grab a park and ride bus into York and visit the York Ghosts Merchant’s, long queues but well worth the wait.
D. K.
Loads of shops to drool over, Michael Kors, North Face, Kath Kidson etc. The artisan market is THE PLACE to be though, beautiful and original trinkets, artwork, food, amazing. Great food court too, well set out and sign posted, really like this place, and theres haribo and cadburys oultet, plus a serious calorie laden cake stand, just so tempting!!
K. H.
This is always a pleasant experience, a fairly good variety of shops. Slightly out of the way to visit, but always happy to return.
G. L.
If you want designer clothing then you can get the best price for your items here
M. D.
Sheer enjoyment for shopaholics place is clean and tidy. Definitely need to spend at least 4 hours or more there
D. M.
Excellent selection of shops and food options. Very happy with our bargains & would visit again.
S. L.
It's a wealthy persons centre. It is ok for food and what not but has some high end shops that are catering for the likes of tourists.
P. S.
Great place for bargain designer clothes and top end shop sales
J. H.
Some really great shops to browse in I love something colourful or unusual or just different you can certainly find here as well as smart or casual
D. T.
Clean, bright and airy with a good choice of shops. Bus stop outside for the park and ride into the centre of York.
A.
A great selection of shops. Very clean, good parking and nice restaurants
D. M.
Parking is always fine when I visit. A reasonable range of shops, with some savings to be had. A good range of places to eat. I usually come away well fed and having found the item(s) I was looking for
J. S.
Usually really love this place, however Easter Monday was a nightmare. People bumping into one another. Range of shops we wanted to go in were very crowded. My fault for going on a bank holiday
D. J. M.
York Designer Outlet is just a wonderful shopping experience! There are a great variety of stores with fantastic choice & reasonable prices. This shopping mall has a very relaxed atmosphere as you wonder through & with the festive season in full swing the Christmas decorations & lights are just beautiful....all the stores are located on the ground floor. There are small Little Tikes push-a-long cars for toddlers to use to make there shopping trip even more fun! On the 1st floor are comfortable/trendy food areas. The eateries include, McDonald's, Seafood, Pizza Hut, Pizza Outlet, Spud-U-Like, Wagamammas, Ed's Diner & a few more....
There are various photo opportunities you can use throughout the mall for Christmas photo's! Directly outside the mall is a good sized ice-rink where you can skate around a beautifully lit Christmas tree & available are medium sized penguins which are support aids for the less confident skater! A Christmas Chalet is to the side of the ice-rink offering hot & cold beverages in a very cosy atmosphere.
Just past the ice-rink is a Christmas Fun Fair which has extremely pretty rides for children up to the age of 12 years old. This fair is open from 3pm Monday to Friday & opens all day Saturday to Sunday....even if you are not using the fair it is just so nice to walk around!
Overall, York Designer Outlet is probably my favourite shopping mall to visit as you feel like you are having a real treat either shopping for yourself or for others as the staff make you feel welcome & as I said before, the atmosphere is just so relaxed.
T. B.
Quite good for disabled scooter 's some of the shops doesn't have a lot of room for scooter user's.
D. R. D. B.
Ok'ish not great and not a place to visit regularly. Shops like any shop, nothing extraordinary. Good thing however, not busy and plenty of carpark spaces.
t. h.
Snazzy place ideal for something designer. Food hall is good but spud u like has gone downhill since taken over by James Martin
I. B.
Easy to get to just off the A64
Not as big a choice as it's cousin @ Cheshire Oaks, well laid out plenty of free parking
Worth a visit
L. C.
Came to visit york and we decided to look for a outlet, well I'm from south and this outlet is amazing much better then what I'm used to, excellent choice ,didn't want to leave ,spent to much thank you 😊
t. g.
Really great complex full of top shops
Been a couple of times now .
Need your wallet definitely.
B. F.
Good time there, but sadly a few empty shops and some of our favourite ones gone
J. A.
Was lovely to stroll round somewhere where you're not getting pushed and shoved. Lovely
G. F. (. P.
I come from a little town so when I visited the outlet, to me it had everything. Maybe people who come from large cities might say there's not much choice. But for me I could've spent all day there shopping if I had the money!
a. w.
A good mix and choice of shops ,well worth a look
A.
Brilliant place. Bought loads of good stuff at a very cheap price. Cant complain!
3. N. M.
A large modern out of town store complex with good parking. An amazing choice of branded clothing stores.
H. J.
Lots of shops with some great discounts. Always a good bargain if you willing to hunt for it.
F. S.
We started coming here quite a few years ago when there were very few shops. Lots more now and good for a bargain or two now.
A. H.
Ok as far as it goes. They go on about having a perpetual 60 or 70% sale but I think that's down to some creative accounting to stop them getting into bother with the advertising standards people.
N. K.
Nice family day out but can be better if wheelchair accessible changing room is provided with hoist.
Food court is nice but no halal food unfortunately.
So after a one hour drive to get there we don’t have much of a choice.
But managed to get some nice clothes & footwear for the whole family.
K. D.
Car park was pretty full and the shopping centre was fairly busy. There was hardly anyone in the shops. The food hall was busy but Pizza hut was quiet and our order was ready instantly. Didn't really enjoy my time spent here. Most of the stores are very expensive even with the "reduced" prices.
P. Y.
Parking was terrible. Not even close to Christmas. People parking where they shouldn't because of the lack of spaces.
The place itself is okay but quite small compared to other shopping centres like this.
There is a good selection of places to eat ... if you can get a seat... I have never seen such a queue for a pizza.
T. C.
Lots of variety in the shops and places to eat
Easy parking
C. S.
Always enjoy a trip here when in the area. Good shops, something for everyone.
J. R.
Great place! Nice shops, not too busy, great food hall.
Q. E.
There's a good variety of brands at lowered prices, and a lovely little food court to suit anyone's taste.
A. S.
We visited Thursday evening, was plenty of parking. Was surprised how quiet it was, I reckon the carpark was only 25% full.
Very nice and clean. The toilets we visited were spotless
P. H.
Fantastic shopping facility’s. Winter time is the best time to visit as winter wonderland is there.
R. M.
Only live 2 minutes from here but very rarely go some great stores bit always really busy and crowded.
M. H.
Very good indeed, seem to be genuine discounted prices on some decent stuff.
R. A.
Great shopping centre, enjoyed the visit. Plenty of free parking too!
H. W.
Nice to spend money you don’t have on a rainy day. Can be loud with hustle and bustle inside sometimes though!
M. W.
Good range of shops and labels. Upstairs is the place where you can eat, there are dozens of famous eateries tucked up in there. All good.
A. D.
Good selection of shops, great parking
T. G.
Choose what you buy with care and not impulse and you'll grab a bargain! Planning is key, avoiding busy times help with parking - at its peak... parking is a nightmare!
A. N.
It is an indoor designer outlet. Restaurants are on the 1st floor. There are enough parking spaces, but the layout is not straightforward. Parking is free though.
The shops have less ranges of products than the other Designer Outlet branches like Chester or Ashford.
R. A.
As always a treat to visit this outlet. Convenient parking, great facilities and number of shops, spoilt for choices. And of course, the park and ride to York is an added advantage if you don't fancy driving to town and parking hassle.
M. H.
Amazingly clean and smells lovely. A fantastic range of top quality label shops. Great food court. Free easily accessible parking. Faultless.
J. B.
Lovely shopping centre. Despite being designer, it offers plenty of choice for all budgets. Great free parking available and easily accessible from the A1(M).
Would say it does get confusing when trying to find your way around. All parts of the shopping centre look the same and it can be hard to remember where shops are without walking the whole way round.
C. F.
Great shops, nice eating places, not too busy
m. d.
Finding several cheap branded stuff here. It was very busy during the weekend & near to festive. But, you might not lucky as the size or stuff you’ve been wanted have been gone. Found the price could be much cheaper, but sometimes still expensive too. As I found that this place is worth to give a visit, so better spend your day to explore first before you decide to tap your card.
G. T.
Could do with more parking. And they charge you to park your car(disabled parking) , when you park and ride.
S. G.
Great shops, plenty of places to eat and lovely surroundings. There is also plenty of free car parking. We'll worth a visit.
K. P.
Comprehensive outlet store, little different to others, although larger than many and all indoors
J. S.
Plenty of choice to shop, to suit most price ranges and a nice place to pass a couple of hours away if the weather changes
C. C.
Large variety of shops. Very clean and smart. Excellent car park!
Really a outlet for people that prefer designer clothing, no cheap shops like Primark!
Although, the designer shops are a lot cheaper here than anywhere else!
T. C.
A good selection of shops and it's all indoors what's not to like
D. B.
Really enjoyed our visit and all of the shops and restaurants. Its a great place to do the park and ride into York. Tons of parking spaces.
S. A.
Good high quality stores, decent food court, bit tired in places.
M. C.
Good day out, plenty of good shops, picked up some bargains.
M. C.
Piza hut . Five guys .mc donalds
Always hungry wen shopping even if its a pair of levis lol love it here
G. T.
Now, I'll start by saying I really don't like shopping. However in this case I make an exception, it was an enjoyable experience. Car parking plentiful (but lanes onsite are a bit confusing, got the missus to look ahead and direct me). Once inside, really good selection of shops including plenty I liked - outdoor shops, Levi's, and many more for the missus. There's plenty of other facilities like toilets & catering, and good provision of outdoor tables and a big roofed outdoor play facility for kids. We ate at the American type hot dog van, very tasty and reasonably priced, albeit this time the slowest fast food we've ever had, though probably unlucky on the day. Designer Outlet York is definitely worth a visit, we've been before and will go again.
And we've been back since, we found the Wagamama on the top deck :-)
K. F.
Good facility similar to other Macarthur Glen outlets but I left with only M&S socks and a wife who was unimpressed.
K. J.
Nice mooch on a mixed weather day,few treats for me on my birthday too! Hubby is a civil servant, extra discounts applied, bonus! 🛍🛍
I. C.
Great place to visit. Always friendly staff. Lots of shops, all with reasonable prices
R. G.
I was a bit disappointed on our visit due to the lack of shops. A lot of unit's are boarded up. Shop's that I was interested in had very little stock.
Seems to be a little dated now .
A. T.
Great place to visit, lots of different shops and lots of places to sit down. Coffee shops good also. Everyone very friendly and helpful.
S. o. T. y.
Great place to visit lots of good designer shops and a variety of places to eat
P. E.
Convenient for the park and ride, had a coffee at Cafe Nero, got my ear pierced, trip to York, amazing lunch, fabulous weather and lovely day.
K. C.
[July 2020] Biggest surprise was free parking. Lots of brands and places to eat/drink.
S. B.
Nice enclosed shopping outlet. Easy to get around with pushchairs and wheelchairs/ mobility scooters. A good assortment of shops, some expensive and others reasonable. Plenty of places to eat or just have a coffee. The car park is huge with disabled and parent and child parking near the entrance to the centre
A. W.
great shopping experience and good choice of find outlets fir lunch
K. F.
As good as the much closer to me cheshire oaks, although was a lot quieter than cheshire oaks so it made a change to be able to park right outside easily instead of lapping the car parks a few time. A few different shops and was a good trip out for the day. I probably won't travel back here but was a nice change.
J. R.
Good variety of shops and places to eat loads of parking
F.
I loved it especially at Christmas as I went there and ice-skated. The variety of shops are amazing and the thing is that most of the restaurants are amazing.
c. i.
Saved quite a large sum of money. Very clean lots of parking places to eat and things for children even a beach
K. W.
Amazing place, great products ,fantastic helpful staff in any shop,Haribo shop is amazing for kids and adult kids ,great staff ...gotto visit this place if you like haribos ...but they also have a huge amount of quality products in every shop ..
Of every kind ,clothes designer, cookware, bags ,suits, food ,etc ..👍👍👍👍👍
L. S.
Lots of great shops and they have great discounts and sales too. Food court has a good selection of places to eat catering to a range of budgets and tastes.
J. C.
This is a well laid out shopping arcade. Good selection of designer, sports and outdoor shops. Great access for prams and wheelchairs. Good baby changing facilities in both ladies and gents. Food court is very good and reasonably priced. Only criticism is the parking layout. It would be useful if the exits told you which parking zone you were walking into.
K. M.
The Designer Outlet was really nice and Clean and Bright , we had a Baked Spud in Spud You Like which was also Nice , took the Healthy Option.
S. A.
Plenty of parking nice location .a bit pricey in some shops.
A. K.
A good place to go for shopping and food hall has plenty of choices.Lots of parking as it can get very busy.
D. F.
Loved it never been to such an amazing shopping centre.... fabulous
J. J.
As it was raining so heavily in York we decided to go to the York Designer Outlet which offered a dry refuge. All of our favourite shops are here including Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Radley, Nike, North Face and so many others. We had lunch upstairs in the food court which was extremely busy but we found seats for us. The number seven bus which runs very frequently took us directly there and back.
J. T.
Love this place, market brands at discounted prices.Plenty of parking and you can park and ride to York. Places to eat up stairs.
E. M.
Airy, bright and loads of free parking. Other McArthurGlen outlets could learn something from this one.
P. Q.
Wagamama food is probably the best. Nike store not bad but can be rammed. Paul Smith store is superb and the Replay range is good too as well as Timberland, LaCoste and others. The only store I'd avoid is Vans as staff are either rude or focussed on stock replenishing rather than customers.
c. m.
Free parking is a bonus and amazing selection of shops too .
Wow!!!
D. C.
Great place for a bargain but can get busy.
M. O.
Always like visiting here, BUT, should all the lights be on in the glass roof with the sun brightly shining??
Obviously their electricity prices haven't been increased yet!
D. T.
Good day out shopping....plenty to choose from in the food court... Worth a visit..
R. B.
Nice enough place but been coming here for years and now its more of a general shopping center than a genuine outlet not many real bargains to be had
M. S.
Great selection of shops. Prince range suiting all. Clean and pleasant facilities.
M. W.
Fantastic selection of shops from high end designers to everyday brand names. Food hall has options for everyone.
M. W.
Great place, good range of shops, plenty of free parking.
R. S.
Great shopping centre and perfect for park and ride into York only 10 minutes on the bus and cheap to with the parking been free.
s. h.
Customer service people was very helpful when we got a wheelchair for the 1st time
K. B.
Great shops plenty of parking will be going again
K. S.
Plenty of shops, some good deals. Plenty of parking
S. H.
Great place for a wander for a few hours or so, plenty of variety and places to eat, loads of various shops.
C. T.
Great for the park and ride into York. Lots of trendy fashion shops we didn’t go in to!
T. P.
If there's a recession going on, then the shopper's in this York outlet are completely oblivious to it.
( Why would anyone pay £50 for a baseball cap???)
N. W.
Really good shopping centre. Not necessarily your mainstream shops. Great for a bargain.
S. S.
Great variety, plenty of parking, fab P&R access
J. L.
Great place to visit, and shop, especially today. As there was loads of bargains to be had, with great sales on. It's just so nice for this time of year, especially with the weather the way it is. Some great shops, and friendly staff.
J. B.
Great place apparently u can download app and get more discounts at certain shop unfortunately only found out after my visit
M. W.
Not really the bargains that used to be there also empty shelves in some shops!Lovely lady at the fish and chip shop upstairs , really friendly .Will go back, but might leave it a good while now .
J. W.
Loads of parking space and shops are modern. Great place to stop on route to elsewhere.
C. M.
Pretty good outlet, most of what you’d need. If you want to get a bit of a haul with some savings it suits your needs!
M. K.
Good place for shopping trip only for adults. We came to do baby shopping and there's not much to choose from
a. m.
Great shopping very open and good food area
I. C.
Would have give 5 star however electric charge points in carpark are a rip off and only domestic charge points , come pull your socks up
D. H.
Just a flying visit today.
As outlets go, York is one of the better ones. Nicely laid out and plenty of choice.
We didn't have any problems parking, despite it being a Saturday afternoon. We were able to pop in and get what we wanted.
I've knocked a star off because it didn't feel as safe, Covid wise. The mandatory mask signs weren't being enforced and the one way system wasn't one way!
E. M.
Brilliant, although it seems particularly better clothing shops for Men, so my wife doesn't highly rate it. Perfect for me.
I. H.
Great parking and plenty of shops, as well as decent restaurants.
P. R.
Great place to relax, shop and generally wander about, easy access for all shops
c. l.
Ok for visit but crowed and not alotbof outdoors shops shame
T. C.
Unbelievable! What a well balanced, well laid out place to shop! There's a very good selection of shops and certainly worth a look, add to that free parking and the fact it's all under cover just in case the weather is not so nice, the upper floor has all well known food outlets and well kept, clean eating area. 5 star indeed. 😁👍
陈.
A good place for shopping. There are lots of brands and restaurants, very good for the family to spend a day here. Very convenient transportation from here to the city centre or the rail station.
L. B.
Visited YO1 beach and roller rink. Well organised. Friendly staff.
F. P.
Needed a wheelchair and this was easy to arrange. Staff very helpful and it was there waiting when we arrived.
G. H.
Worth a visit, we were passing and I got some good quality bargains.
O.
Top shops well located, parking easy
G. B.
A brilliant array of stores with great pricing compared to the same brand on the high street. Can get extremely busy, especially in the food hall so be prepared for a good wait. Plenty of parking outside too
s. “. h.
Loads of parking, well sign posted. Maps inside to find your way around. Not too big, quality stuff with price reductions across different ranges and helpful staff. A few cafes for refreshment as well.
M. D.
Has most of the usual clothing and home shops, and decent places to eat. Just can get crazy busy.
D. W.
Best outlet there is, has some big brands that are usually quite scarce
M. F.
First time there for a while, no great bargains to be found.
Easy parking right near South entrance,
Called in Starbucks for a coffee, picked a bad day, long queue waiting for coffee, told dish washer had broke down, this put staff in turmoil.
Long wait and to top it off, order was not correct, I had a flat white, it was awful, could not drink it, bitter taste.
If it hadn't been for the queue I'd of taken it back.
Won't rush back to this Outlet.
A. C.
Good outlet with decent shops and food.
M. G.
If you want to shop for clothes or shoes there is plenty of choice. Reasonable dining upstairs with usual Maccy D, Subway, fish and Chips and a few others. Gets very busy. Not really enough choice for other casual shoppers.
W. D.
Very spacious to walk round very clean and well kept staff very welcoming and obliging.
L. M.
Extensive car parks. Well designed outlet with a large number of stores and withe the food outlets you'd expect
G. L.
Great place for shopping and good food Hall too
D. S.
The prices weren't much different to the rest of the year, no real sales, but some of the outlet shops will price match the high street sale prices. We’ve been a few times now and prices do seem to be getting closer to the high street. Not as many bargains to be had as there used to be.
Always worth checking the price online before you buy anything. Just because they say something is reduced by 50% doesn’t mean anywhere actually sells it at full price
W. T.
A good selection of shops from Molton Brown to Ugg and Timberland. Lots of parking and good disabled access. The food hall offers a choice of restaurants or your usual Sub or Mcds. For the amount of people it's kept quite clean. As with all outlet shopping some days you get more bargains than others. This is also a great place to come if you want to incorporate a trip into York too as there is a park and ride bus service. Avoid weekends as it gets incredibly busy.
A. S.
Excellent selection of stores. Very good reductions, good service everywhere I went. Lots of parking including huge disabled area. Can catch park and ride to York city centre. Play area.
New shops appearing all the time. Never more than an occasional empty shop
S. W.
Loved this place. Very busy but plenty of parking. First class shops and food hall basic but OK. Well worth a visit.
R. L.
Great choices of designer wear! But what comes with designer wear is a hole in your wallet. Still, worth a visit for the ever enthusiastic shopper!
V. P. L.
Great shops. Prices aren't that cheap, but will find great options.
J. L.
All under one roof, fabulous choice & really helpful staff..... definitely coming here again & bringing my daughter's
A. B.
First time I've visited and was plenty of shops to visit. Have to admit, going later in the day helped, as less busy (although still lots of cars!).
Great place to stop if visiting York Town centre, as Park & Ride far easier and cheaper than going into the centre to park.....although be prepared to queue a while for the bus!
L. C.
Just loved this place, got loads of bargains at great prices
D. T.
Visited this at the same time as a Uni visit. Didn't have as long as I would have liked to spend here. A great selection of designer outlets, somewhere to have lunch and great parking. Would return just to go back to the shopping centre.
n. h.
We have never been here before, it was brilliant, a large selection of shops and eating places, and it was very clean. We will definitely be back
D. S.
Always welcoming, love the variety of stores. Also a very good food hall to suit all price ranges.
Great day out, especially when there's extra attractions like the Christmas fair.
J. B.
Easy to find, lots of carparking space. Nice shops inside and Cafes
s. h.
Good array of shops and decent food hall.
C. W.
I enjoyed this outlet alot was very nice and pleasant lovely enviroment to be thank you.
A. H.
Lovely place for a shopping trip, many designer shops and lots of lovely places to eat. Staff are very friendly
C. D.
Large, high quality shopping mall. Excellent selection of outlet shops from all the major brands and even some smaller ones. Excellent value too. Good food hall with a better than usual selection of the major food types. Park and ride is extremely convenient, fast and reliable for trips into York centre. Highly recommended.
A. A.
Excellent shopping centre all the leading brands.Good car park
F. C.
Shopping centre as you would expect, its very hot walking around the centre, lots of shops do not have air conditioning. Great the centre is doing more to help those who need a quieter environment to shop on Wednesday mornings. Good access to the park and ride into the city centre.
B. L.
Good roads to this outlet and plenty of buses from York. As not local we spend most of the day there when we go lots of shops for my wife and sufficient to keep me amused.
A. L.
Easy access to parking. And an option to park and ride into York. We'll set out. Plenty of eateries. Brilliant shops. Very clean and tidy. Good day out.
B. C.
It's okay when I went recently some shops had Very little stock in plenty of people wandering around kept my face covering on amazing how some people think COVID is over
Y. L.
Amazing!! Could shop for hours on end. Indoor outlet with a wide range of shops at great prices and free parking. Whats not to like!
T. M.
Ample free parking. Lots of trendy branded shops with some discount, not as much as I was expecting. Sadly the shopping for women is very, very limited. Loads of stores for men. Very, very little for women - disappointing. Food hall upstairs to get your quick snack is ok. Not sure it's the place for me as I went to do some Xmas shopping for my daughter. Came back with nothing. Men - plenty choice. Women - nothing.
p. f.
Some stores are a tad expensive, nice reasonable ones as well though. Good places to eat and its all inside for when its wet and cold.
P. D.
Good range of shops and easy parking.
P. B.
All indoors so great whatever the weather. Plenty of shops and eateries to keep you going and good parking.
T. K.
Great selection of shops. However, there must be a few hundred parking spaces and only 4 electric vehicle charging points, all of which were out of service!!! This outlet claims to care about the local environment with kids nature trails etc. But doesn't provide an incentive for EV users. There could certainly be more chargers and what about EV-only parking spaces? It's coming so best get with it. The Bicester shopping outlet has lots of chargers.
M. H.
Expensive but where isn't !
Big upstairs food hall , shopping is all ground floor .
Lifts & escalators for kids and those who find stairs hard.
Outdoor play area also is undercover !
S. H.
Loved it, nice shops. would definitely go back
O. S.
Absolutely lovely small outlet shopping centre. Nice, clean and staff very polite, excellent customer service. Famiky friendly.
I. D.
Really good place to visit, plus the food hall is very good
F. W.
York designer outlet is waoh
all the designer shop you could think off and in affordable prices
More than half price and is designer
got my beautiful trainers from there.
For business people you need to go to York Designer Outlet to get Designer stuff at affordable price and make money 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✔✔✔✔✔✔✔💋💋💋💋💋💋💋👍👍👍👍👍👍
Z. D.
Shopping outlets. More catered to high end prices. Eateries & restaurants upstairs. Good shopping 🛍
A. C.
It's a shopping outlet what more is there to say apart from its now mainly male orientated shops and I was only the driver for two ladies and I had to agree with them.
M. S.
BUSY Ate at Pizza Express not enough staff service was very slow but food very good .
S. M.
Large range of shops and eating places. Lots of parking. A good day out.
P. S.
Great range of stores plus the ice rink and amusements outside were excellent, also outside was Santa's grotto which was just excellent the only drawback in the center is trying to get someplace to eat when it busy
S. O.
A pleasant experience. 200 degrees is great improvement on Thoroton's. Good range of retailer's throughout the Outlet.
M. K.
As it says in the name, it is a designer shopping centre, ideal for the unusual clothing accessories etc, First Group in York also have a park &ride bus service into York to save all the hassle of trying to park in the city, very frequent service
P. W.
Great selection of designer shops in one place. Plenty of reduced prices.
A. J.
Haven't shopped here for quite some time. Was pleasantly surprised at the number of outlet shops and the bargains on offer. Couldn't help myself ( or the husbands wallet) from purchasing quality items at great discounted prices. Free parking which was a bonus. A decent selection of coffee shops and food outlets throughout and on he first floor if you need an energy boost. X
J. N.
One of the better shopping centres. Lots of parking. Good selection of shops
Y. R.
Had a good morning there, got a couple of bargains
A. B.
Clean and tidy multiple shopping centre with good free parking.
M. T.
We always visit the outlet centre when we call at my son's. Great shops, great prices, great choice and a great morning .
J. W.
Huge range of designer clothing and other shops
Food court upstairs
Plenty of clean toilets
Huge car park and park and ride into York
I. s.
Good place to shop, different designer items.
A. S.
Too busy, not enough variety and awful parking.
I. W.
Large choice. Excellent for those who really enjoy the challenge of shopping.
W. B.
Plenty of shops with plenty of choice. Some good food choices too. All undercover so good in any weather. Can get very busy in holiday periods and weekends. Good play area for little ones with outside coffee trucks for the parents.
F. S.
Nice store with good discounts. Staff are very stuck up and rude though!
A. N.
Went to try ice skating for the first time it was ok but it really is money for nothing...over £10 for a hour! I know you will probably say well bugger off to Germany then , but you get rinks 3 to 4 times larger and pay like €9 euro and can stay on hours if u wish! and not chucked off dead on 60 mins
a. b.
Good clean shopping experience although the choice of goods and prices are not great
R. L.
Really enjoyed our shopping and a meal in the food hall
M. W.
A quick stop to check out the bargains of which there were many. There are some expensive items but you do pay for quality. A pleasant walk through the many shops although there's a small handful of shops closed. Upstairs there's food for all tastes big or small and seating was clean and comfortable. If you know what you want there's no better place to shop. Also, plenty of car parking and a park and ride system in operation if you want to visit York.
D. L.
What else can I say? This place never seems to not feel like magical wonderland every I visit. This is a place where you'll find the top brands in one building.
I want to go into detail, but I'd ruin the magic. If you have a lot of money, you'll find something you'll love.
If by you need a bite, you have many the restaurants like McDonald's, Pizza Hut Express, Fish and Chips, Five Guys and more.
They have public toilets that are free to enter.
Why not see for yourself?
A. M.
10 min from the city centre with lots of parking spaces. The actual outlet is very clean and has a very good selection of stores and food. Definitely recommended.
J. W.
Really great place to shop. Lots of designer outlets and decent prices.Food places upstairs but not al a carte
p.
Good play area covered so good regardless of weather.
Great range of shops and cafes
G. G.
Good choice of shops. Fairly quiet when we went
M. P.
Really good selection of shops, ridiculous coffee shop prices though!

Nice area, park & ride was a good benefit, being indoors was also good, some decent stores, would visit again

Easy to get to, with ample free parking, the name gives the place away. The shops are in a circular route so you can keep going round till it shuts. I have to say that the assistants I talked to were all very nice, amiable and spent the time to give me the right product and advice. There are plenty of food and drink places to rest and recoup and decent washrooms dotted around. After visiting some other larger shopping experiences, this one definitely feels alive and with a vibrant feel. Top marks in no particular order to Under Armour, Polo, Michael Kors, Ted Baker and Whittard.

Even better these days with so many EVs charging points.

I only used the park and ride facility but found signage and exact location of bus stop poorly signed/confusing for first visit.

Called in today at Lazy Jacks designer outlet York, was served by Shakira and Graham, 10/10 service keep it up guys Kim and Paul Cooper 😊
S. B.
Huge range of designer shops offering lots of bargains. One of the best outlets in the country. Well worth a visit, top floor offers an abundance of eateries.
S. T.
Very gd, clean, plenty of choice, gd prices, ideal position as park and ride into York next to it.

You either like it or you don't, go early...some good shops but she things are a bit pricey
B. K.
Top notch some great shops with very friendly staff
R. B.
Fine if you can visit early on a weekday; horrendously crowded at the weekend.
Good range of shops but they rarely have much choice in my size (men's medium).

Lovely

Good selection of brands.
Tricky to get to especially if you don't drive though as so far out of town.

Hadn’t been here since 2008 and the place looks totally different. A brilliant range of shops, offering some real bargains. I bought a blazer and three waistcoats from Joe Browns for £113 , less than half the normal price.
D. C.
Massive variety of designer shops 👌 great prices apart from the spud for dinner that was a bit expensive 🤣
T. M.
Plenty of car parking and no shortage of shops.

A great place to get everything you need. It's kept clean and has a lot to do and buy.Haribo, lindt to police and Doc martens. Plenty to eat upstairs even cafes on the ground floor. A lovely play park and this summer (22)is a beach, roller rink and carousel on the far side.
R. B.
Very nice place for shopping.. nice price also

Great shopping centre. What a shame despite notices, posters and security at entrances with boxes of masks, I counted 26 adults all without masks walking about. Hope they all showed their exemption cards, failing which, it defeats the purpose of so many notices and government regulations of mandatory masks in shopping centres.
D. B.
Easy to find and very nice when you get there everything was very clean and easy to find your way around
L. C.
Lovely open shopping centre, tons of parking. Park and ride to York city. Easily accessible. Clean. If you like fish and chips can definitely recommend The Fisherman's Wife. Got busy in eating area between 12 and 1.00, but didn't have to wait long for a table
Toilets are spacious and clean, all areas under constant cleaning.
L. M.
Very fantastic, I liked there ,there were most of the famous brands.

I visit here regularly and I always have positive visits. There's a good choice of shops in the outlet. Plenty of choice in the food court. There are plenty of toilet facilities and they are checked and cleaned regularly. Lots of parking and it has also got a park and ride on site if you feel like a trip in to York. The park and ride is reasonably priced and the buses drop you off near the main area they also run regularly. Definitely worth a visit.

Everything you need in one location, ample parking and many places to eat

Excellent. Staff in stores top class and Outlet first rate.Great value.
I have been to the outlet twice in a short space of time. The trek was worth it!
The Outlet itself is huge but well designed and I was impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness of everything ( including the loos!)
Apart from the huge range of shops what particularly impressed me was the quality of the service and advice I received there. Hackett, Replay, and Jeff Banks we’re tops but every where else also excellent.
The prices were genuine - definite savings for quality items.
Will definitely go again but wish the signage on the final roundabout to get in was clearer!

Excellent choice. Great place to slash some cash but also save a fortune off full RRP you'd pay in London for the same stuff. Just keep your wife away from the bags at Michael Kors. It becomes an addictive collection for your wife/GF/partner. Good food Hall too
V. C.
Great shops but really love the coffee places outside
D. b.
Nice place with loads of shops you could have a day out here. The car park is massive with lots of parking, there is a queueing system for if its busy but when we went we went straight in, the layout is over two floors, the ground floor is mostly shops and the second floor is the food shops there are a few food ones down stairs but most of them are upstairs, their are plenty of toilets and they seem to be very clean and tidy. There is still a one way system but it is not enforced and most shop ask you to wear a mask. We ate at the American restaurant and it was lovely and not to badly priced.
P. P.
Good variety of shops.
Undercover

Not as good since covid-19. As not as many shops in there are open, but this is the case now with most shopping centres. Laid out really well, have a great one way system and very clean toilets. Upstairs you will find a food court with a good range of options. Plenty of free parking and in a good location outside of the city off the a64.

It's just ok. There's nothing that really stands out for me in there, other than it's a shopping centre with a few designer type shops. Prefer going into York centre...
R. B.
Plenty of shops and very good prices. Worth a visit.

Been here a few times now after moving up last year. Always friendly staff in the shops and even if we don’t always buy something in the outlet itself, it’s always been handy being able to jump on the Park and Ride bus into York (10 min journey) and then head back later on to the car. Good variety of shops and restaurants.
W. M.
Great place for shopping with a nice open space for some time out
K. W.
Lots of choices for shops and places to eat. Great facilities if you need to take some quiet time. Very baby friendly with a feeding room and plenty of baby changing facilities dotted around.
R. M.
Great place for shopping but disappointed at some of the shops they just seemed to be selling stock they hadn't been able to get rid elsewhere
A.
Quite a posh place to go shopping (as in, the walkways and shops were very chic and pretty). I walked from York City Centre and it was quite a long walk! Took the Park and Ride back, which was £2.50 (adult single), but necessary. There were maps every so often in the outlet, which was really helpful.
M. D.
Used to like coming here but will give it a miss for a while. Super busy, we were there just before masks became mandatory again ad very few people were wea wearing them. Biggest problem given its an outlet mall is that there's no real bargains to be had. Left empty handed when in the past we've always bought quite a lot in there
N. T.
Almost all the shops were open. Clean and felt safe. Bought some lovely boots in the sales from Pavers. Enjoyed a bagel.
g. b.
Four out of five stars for me as I don't go in most of the shops, mostly just the haribo store. Overall the place is very clean and the facilities are great. There is also plenty of places to eat.
C. H.
Love this place nice to have a walk round and enjoy the upstairs eating area
J. G.
A lovely array of shops. Excellent prices in most aswell. Also you can get a 10% discount card which is accepted in most outlet stores, you just need to show your bluelight card and nhs id.
D. M.
Nice day out plenty of designer shops all under one roof , coffee shops to recharge your batteries to help find more bargains.
L. M.
Great place indoor, with many shops and good deals. The restaurant area is big and family friendly.

Never been here before, we stopped on our way back from a week in Scarborough and I am so pleased that we did!! The shops are fantastic. There is so much choice for everyone and we picked up some amazing bargains. The food court had plenty of choice and we had no trouble seating the 4 of us for lunch. We will definitely return.
S. H.
Better than the one near us at South Normanton and thats from so one who hates shopping . Wife loved it ☺️
T. G.
It's a great indoor shopping centre however there are a shortage of shops and cafe toilets on the ground floor dirty.
I had 2x visits to a Caffè and both times the toilet remained dirty after asking a member if staff to clean it.
That's a shame because the food was lovely.
J. M.
The staff were at the entrance handing out masks n giving directions to customers,. Very clean n tidy....customer services are good if you have a blue light card, show yr ID and just ask for a privilege card
J. M.
Great little outlet shopping, there Oare great bargains to be had.
I. S. B.
Ample parking space and a decent food court.. Lots of brands
L. L.
Easy to park, although it was crowded (rainy Saturday afternoon), and plenty of well known clothing and brand stores, but they had queues outside as it was social distancing inside the shops. There were some benches to sit and wait but these were full. We did go in a couple of shops and walked all the way round. The first floor has food outlets but takeaway only, and there were a couple of stalls outside doing crepes and coffee etc. Benches were provided outside to sit and eat at but these too were all taken.
M. M.
Very expensive and very busy. Good choice of shops and eateries.
P. N.
The York outlet shopping centre is mainly higher end shops and designer ones.
G. L.
Big place, need plenty of time to look around, especially for the wives, take plenty of cash.good eating place.
A. S.
More bloke shops than usual so I was happy
S. B.
A brilliant place for men's clothes, so many bargains. Often a bit more off even the sticker prices if you buy more than one item ( or if you ask!) A very good wardrobe refresh day today.
G. M.
Really enjoyed the day out there. Everything under one building
P. W.
A great family day out situated indoors.
Lots of shops to choose from and some items are at a great price if you like designer clothes.
All the big names are at York designer outlet including Ralph Lauren,Hugo Boss and many more big designers
D.
Parking not very well set out. No clothes shops for children.. Food halls upstairs horrendously busy and it can confusing knowing where to queue. Should be more choice of food and drink on ground floor.
k. W.
Bargains to be had if you like your named clothes shoes bags etc
J. T.
Very expensive and whilst I accept safety is paramount it was disappointing that several of the big rides weren't working.
