Very nice Sports shop on John Street. I had seen it many times but never went there. Fantastic selection of mountain hiking shoes, jackets and other accessories. Expensive but totally worth it. My wife purchased Merrell Walking Shoes and I bought Salomon XA Pro 3D. Very courteous staff and the plus point is that there is free parking in the back. Highly recommended.

Always helpful,good range of stuff. Website is good too.i just wish they'd stock more range in the shop to try. A lot of their stuff is online and not in the store. I usually have to go to a competitor to try stuff on and then will return to Tiso for the purchase. The outdoor experience card is apparently changing soon but it's a good idea for loyalty and I'd encourage Tiso to continue with some form of rewarding loyal customers. This and the friendly, knowledgeable staff make this a good place to shop. They talk about products from experience not just the catalogue and if they don't know something they won't try to hoodwink, they'll just be honest which I appreciate. Have bought everything from boots to bags to tents to sleeping bags here. I've even hired kayaks to paddle down the Dee - and they threw in an inflatable roof rack too. Highly recommended. Truly an outdoor experience.

*Tiso is dog friendly* Went in to buy some pretty pricey boots and the member of staff could not have been more helpful or done more for me. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable and bent over backwards to accommodate me and my irritating situation. Was knowledgeable about after care products and happy to explain them all to me, but never pushed for a sale or made me feel uncomfortable or obligated to buy anything. I can't remember his name sadly, but he was a shining example of what customer service can be. I really hope Tiso are paying them well because they're doing a great job and deserve great pay.

Great friendly & helpful staff. Bought some very comfortable North Face Hedgehog walking shoes for £120. Seems like a lot to me but you get what you pay for. The assistant made the whole experience less painful, I felt that she knew what she was talking about & made sure all that money wasn't going to waste. 😁

If you need to replace tent poles, don't bother going to any of the camping shops in town. The selection is grim qt best. However..if you find you only need to replace the shock chord holding your poles together then Tiso is where to go. A young man helped me with the calculations for length and even gave me sone extra length just incase. Which is just aswell. I needed it. Bit pricey compared to buying off the Internet but at least I knew it was the right diameter and hood strong stuff.

Bought walking boots for my son for his Scouts camping trip. We’d been into another couple of outdoor stores, but in Tiso they measured his feet, listened to our requirements, offered advice and had the size in stock we were looking for. (Rather than just taking out what they had and hoping for the best). Their customer service was absolutely brilliant. The guy we spoke to knew all about each product we tried and offered advice in a gentle, friendly manner. At the till he checked - without us asking, if there was a discount that would apply. Tiso will be our first port of call next time we need outdoor gear.

Been going to Tiso for years, always a great service, great stock selection. It has change over the years, many new faces but still the same old great atmosphere. Always chat for a while with the staff about hiking, mountain and travel adventures. It is one of my main stores for my mountaineering and adventure gear.

Product purchased from Tiso was faulty. Returned it and the whole process of replacement was hassle free. Free car parking for customers for up to 1 hour. Helpful & friendly staff. Also dog friendly.

I bought a pair of Scarpa boots from Tiso Glasgow but they just did not quite fit perfectly. I took them back to Tiso Aberdeen and they bent over backwards to exchange the boots for a pair that did fit perfectly. They even recommended a pair that were drastically cheaper than the pair I originally purchased - they’re not just there to rip you off and appear to genuinely care about customer satisfaction.

Staff are very knowledgeable, you give them details of what you need for the activity you're away to do(especially clothing) and they take you straight to all the options for the budget you have. Helpful and interested in what you've done and are away to do and throw in some advice too.

It's a bit cheeky to limit the parking to 20 minutes when you mainly sell clothing. There's not enough time to try on everything. Given that one item I wanted was £200 I would have expected to be able to park for longer. I gave up and went to Tiso at Inveralmond, where parking is free for at least 2hrs

Searched high & low for clear coloured methylated spirits, & found it by accident at TISOs'. They did have the normal blueish coloured ones too. I think that if you're cleaning anything critical, the blue stuff may leave a blue dye residue...?
