Went to look for a folding bike for my daughter. The help we received from Dylan was exceptional. He showed us how to assemble the bike and then stood back so my daughter could do the same. He was very helpful and gave great support where needed. He did a thorough check on the bike before deeming it ready to go. We were most impressed to see Dylan's interaction with our other daughter who is on the autistic spectrum. His way of engaging was very helpful. He explained about his training and he put her at ease.

Thomas helped us with a cycle to work scheme. His customer service was exemplar, he took the time to go through our options explaining everything clearly and went out of his way to help us. Hi, we called into your Belfast store today 25th June to purchase a bike for our son. My son is 12 years old and suffers from Autism, he finds it difficult in new surroundings and meeting new people. In order to get him a bike we had been advised to get him sized up for the correct size. I cannot seem to find the words of how we were treated in your store. Dylan was the cycle guy and was so attentive to us, he spoke to our son and made him feel so calm. Dylan removed his headset and knelt on the floor speaking to him, Dylan was so so very kind and showed great patience, he was sized out and everything was fitted and moved to suit his needs. Our son even asked Dylan to come to visit him. On leaving our son was so different than how we have seen him in other situations. Dylan is a shinning star in Decathlon and should be an ambassador for Autism. I will certainly be advising friends, family and schools to go to Decathlon Sorry for the long post, but we are just so over the moon with Dylan.

It has pretty much anything you need for sporting and out door activities. They might not have exactly what you need but something close. Prices are good, plenty of parking. Finding things can be a little confusing as there are alot of catagories/sections such as shoes in about 10 different places depending if you want walking, running, hiking, swimming, diving, horse riding, Rock climbing ect all in different places.

Huge. Lots of sports stuff without relying on team branding. A sports shop for sportsmen rather than fans. UPDATE: 12/4 I'm going to double down on my good impression. A company that reads its own reviews is a company that is willing to learn from any mistakes. It's refreshing. If I could make it 4 and a half stars I would. Maybe when I buy my bike from them we can revisit the rating.

We had a very good visit to Decathalon today, we had made purchases the day before that turned out to be the wrong sizes. Was given great help and advice from a gentleman called Conor, who I then witnessed deal with another customer in a fantastic professional manner. This woman was complaining over lack of changing rooms and making some snarky comments and was nothing but unnecessarily rude to him. She was annoying me and even I was struggling to bite my tongue but he explained the stores reasoning very clearly and was very polite even thought she wasn’t. Very impressed as I used to work in retail when I was younger and I definitely would’ve reacted very differently.

I had called in last Saturday to purchase an electric bike unfortunately my size was not in store but Cameron (I think that was his name) said he would order me one in ,so on Wednesday I rang to see if there was any word on my bike and was told Yes it will be here on Friday ,so on Friday I rang up to enquire if it had arrived and again I was told Yes it had and that it would be ready for collection later that day, Sorry for being so impatient but I was just so excited to be getting it so quickly and hats off to Dylan when I did arrive as I was so excited I could hardly wait to get hold of the bike and Dylan was very patient and aswered all my questions and he went through everything I needed to know. Thank you so much Dylan for your help and too everyone else involved from your cycling department.Excellent customer service guys I felt yous couldnt have done anymore than yous did ,one very happy customer. Excellent experience. I was a bit overwhelmed by the choice in the store. An employee called Ryan helped me with kayaks. I have to say that he was phenomenal. You can near enough pick up any sport for less than £100 here. To be fair they haven't really jacked up their prices too much with the whole stay at home thing going on, unlike other places. I usually check out their camping, fishing and shooting stuff which isn't too bad, nice to have it all in one place anyways. There are however 100s of sport here so something for everyone.

I recently visited Decathlon Belfast to buy some surfing equipment and was assisted by the very helpful Laura. I was thrilled to be approached by a respectful and polite sales rep on this day as there is nothing I dislike more than in-your-face sales reps trying to get you to buy everything in store and ruining your shopping experience. She offered me assistance without any undue pressure and after asking all the right questions Laura had some great suggestions and tips that I can't wait to try out. She was extremely knowledgeable and parted with this generously and without making me feel overwhelmed. She considered my level, budget and plans with care and we chatted through all of my options. My friends will be looking for similar gear and I will certainly be recommending they deal with this professional and helpful lady and the Belfast Decatholon store.

Was in decathlon yesterday with my 2 kids needing hockey and cricket gear. I didn’t have a clue about sizing and what to get, but one the employees Conor could see I was completely lost and offered his assistance. He was brilliant in his advice and sizing the bat and stick plus all the necessary clothing. And even though understandably they couldn’t try any of the clothes on, everything he chose fitted perfectly. Made what I was expecting to be a stressful shop very easy. I was in your Belfast store Sunday July 12th. After waiting to get access for nearly 45 minutes, I didn't really know what I was after but it was a tent. I made a Click and Collect order of a 6 berth tent online for pick up from the Belfast store one week in advance of needing it. I opened it only to discover that I had been sent a 4 berth tent instead. We had a big family event planned where the 6 berth was essential or the whole event would be ruined. There was no time after delivery to store and pick up to re-order another tent. The Staff at the Belfast store went above and beyond to ensure I left with a tent for equal capacity. I can't speak highly enough of the in-store customer services. They understood that the warehouse picking the incorrect order would have had such a negative knock on effect on my holiday. The guys and girls made sure they did all in their power to allow my family event to go ahead. Memories made and more to come. Thanks everyone.

Great selection of quality items for both indoor and outdoor activities including equestrian, hunting and fishing. I've been impressed by the durability of there microfiber towels and the speed of the drying rate after use. Cycling gear I'm using is standing up well to the cold weather. Camping gear wise the space saving sleeping bags are really well made and you notice the extra space without losing the comfort or heat. I can't really comment much about football as I got play anymore but my dog really loves the small tough light weight footballs lasting a good few months before managing to burst them. My only gripe was probably more me than the product and it's the full wraparound swim goggles excellent visibility and strong adherence to eyes and nose but one of the straps snapped like an elastic band when I was on holiday so they aren't really watertight anymore with one side filling up with water like a sinking ship. The store experience is cavernous with staff friendly to help and the checkout area is self serve with a weigh bridge system in place with staff on hand to help with awkward size and shapes. In the good weather they have a lot of the tents built upon the carpark area outside the store which creates a small village of various shapes and sizes including the popular inflatable style tents.

Happy enough with the service, I bought my Triban 500 online last year and it developed a gear shifting issue a few weeks ago. Dropped the bike on on a Monday, called to see about it on Wed and was told it needed a shifter. They said it was covered under warranty but would take a few days to come in which was fair enough. Got a call that afternoon to say my bike was ready as they found a shifter. My bike is now like new, they indexed all the gears and replaced some cables as well as adjusting my brakes for me. Can’t fault that for service.

Purchased bike of guy called Neil I can't say enough he was excellent and assisted me with helmet and gloves and also prepared bike and gave me helpful tips on cycling as I havnt been on bike in years I'm 52 and he gave me confidence in myself and g it me to cycle around the shop and adjusted the seat and showed me tips on how to break and how high my seat needs to be and things as simple as how to bend bike to get on I'm so happy with it I'm like child getting my 1st bike I would recommend this guy as he had lot of knowledge as I'm new to it ...so looking forward to getting into cycling he was that good my partner is going to purchase new bike in new year so will be looking out for Neil thank you so much.

Having read the above reviews, I was dreading the buying experience here, but it was quick, courteous and efficient. I was buying a bicycle, and I was given advice in a courteous and knowledgeable manner, the bike was checked over, and I was on my way in short order, maybe it could have been tidier, but I suspect that may be ignorant shoppers and their kids, rather than the staff.

Ample parking. A large store with a huge amount of sporting goods. Today I bought a black winter hat, neoprene gloves and a pair of comfortable solognac boots for £25. I was also impressed by the rest of the hunting range such as the outdoor jackets and hunting boots. The extensive range also includes sunglasses, bikes and boxing eqpt and many, many other ranges/items. The decathlon unique brands such as solognac are quality and reasonably priced.
