Started in May last year because I wanted to learn something different and What an amazing club I found!!!I couldn’t recommend it enough. Cole is so welcoming and his classes are very technical, always with a touch of great sense of humour. Supportive and problem-solving all times. If you are looking for High quality classes, Great coaches and people plus a fantastic environment to learn bjj, this is your place!give a try. You won’t regret it! It was the best decision I have ever made.

I started training after the New Year in this gym and it has been a great experience so far. I had been thinking of trying BJJ for some time and enrolling on the 8 week beginners course was the perfect opportunity to give it a go. I have found the quality of the coaching to be excellent - the coaches are clearly very experienced and knowledgeable and are able to convey tricky aspects of the game in ways that everyone can follow. As well as this, the coaches are easy to get along with and are patient with beginners like me, which makes all the difference. The gym has an informal, welcoming atmosphere and is a great opportunity to meet people from a broad range of backgrounds and age groups. Everyone has been very friendly, good fun to train with, and there is a great sense of comradery in the club. Overall, this is a really excellent place to learn BJJ, so if you are considering giving it a go I strongly recommend to enrol on the beginner program and get started.

I am experienced in BJJ after having done it for over ten years in London. I recently moved over to Belfast and this club has been one of the best things about my move. This club is great, with a good vibe and technical instruction as good as any I have experienced with any of the black belts I have known. There are people of all levels in the club, with hobbyists and higher belts. Cole has created a good atmosphere and all the people here are super friendly. The vibe is slightly less formal than you might get in some places - although I like this to be honest, and Cole is very focused on people improving their technique and pushing themselves. If you come to this club you will learn high level jiu jitsu in a positive atmosphere.

Everyone from the staff to students were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The head instructor Cole and the assistant coaches are absolute gentlemen and the level of coaching, drills/training is outstanding. Coupled with the great value for money, this is definitely one of the best gyms I have every been to and would highly recommend it to both novice or elite practitioners.

Walked in to Jiu Jitsu Brotherhood Belfast completely inexperienced and not knowing anyone. Luckily the incredible instructors teach at a pace brilliant for beginners and the experienced alike. A range of belts train so there’s always something new to learn from everyone. Can’t recommend enough!

I’m just a blue belt but due to work I have had the opportunity to take classes in a number of different countries and gyms and this one was hands down my favorite. I had the opportunity to take 2 classes here and both taught me new concepts that have been able to work into my game full time. I have never had such a quick learning experience when visiting a gym before. You simply have to visit if you are in town and if you live in belfast sign up right now. An absolutely unbelievable opportunity.

Started training recently at this gym and it’s been a fantastic experience. The head coach Cole is extremely welcoming and teaches at a pace which is suitable for beginners. Aaron who takes the beginners class is extremely friendly and more than willing to help with any issue. The ‘beginners package’ is also fantastic value for money, you get two months of classes and your GI! Would highly recommend this gym to anyone who is interested in learning ju jitsu.

Trained a few times while over visiting family. I felt so welcome by everyone. Cole made a point to introduce me to everyone in the club. Tuition was first class and really enjoyed the rounds with everyone. I'll definitely be back here next time I'm in Belfast.

Teaching and training here at Vanquish Jiu Jitsu Belfast is an absolute pleasure, I can't stress enough how blessed I am to have such a great team who all help one another become better people on and off the mats!

Recently started the beginner course and couldn’t recommend it more! Cole and Aaron are fantastic coaches, providing clear instructions, making sure they divide their time so everyone gets quality coaching and making everyone comfortable from day one.

Top class BJJ gym!! Joined just over 3 months ago starting through the beginner course that is offered and I'm hooked. Cole and Aaron are both fantastic coaches and have the patience of a Saint. 10/10 reccomend

There’s nothing I love more after a long days work than going and getting strangled repeatedly. Head coach Cole has created an incredibly welcoming environment along with coach Aaron, with both being extremely tolerable and patient with new beginners. Their breakdowns of techniques and the camaraderie felt on the mats is what makes Jiu Jitsu Brotherhood such an outstanding gym.

Started recently and was very nervous as it was my first time going to a martial arts class. The instructors couldn't have been more welcoming and it's become a highlight of my week to get down to training. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Returned to jiu-jitsu after a long break. This gym offers a range of classes for all levels, I like the structure of the classes where an area is focused on and built up over a few consecutive lessons with various drills that help solidify fundamentals. I found a previous gym would choose random elements of BJJ and cover them each lesson and that made for a bumpy foundation. The structure and class options is a fantastic way to refresh firmly basic Jiu Jitsu and begin to see testable results on the matt. Additionally if you're new or need to refresh basics the beginners course is a fantastic way to start here as you don't walk into the gym the newbie and feel the lessons are too advanced, you'll attend with others on the same level who are equally as lost at first.

So...a long overdue review! I signed up to the 6-week beginners programme in August. I had been putting this off for years; I'm too old, not fit enough, not strong enough etc... I knew about the club but I was never brave enough to actually show up. Eventally I did and I CANNOT say enough good things about Cole and Matt! As coaches; their attention to coaching detail is superb - second to none. The atmosphere at the club is very welcoming. Everyone is beyond friendly and the atmosphere is always relaxed. All the senior belts are forthcoming in offering advice; there are no egos. I would never have remained at a club that was anything else. If you are looking to learn BJJ - look no further.

Super friendly and welcoming club in the centre of Belfast. Dropped in when over from London and they couldn't have been more welcoming. Nice rolls, great teaching from Cole and bit of music while rolling.
Saw a few of the team get their blue belts on the night, meant a lot to the rest of the team just as much as them! Great atmosphere.
Thank you to all the guys and girls. Hopefully, I'll see you again next time I'm over.

Outstanding place to train. Great coaches teaching at a very high technical level but in a nice simple manner to understand. Atmosphere is very relaxed and inclusive. I look forward to every training session and always leave with a smile on my face. Can’t recommend the Brotherhood enough. If your thinking of trying BJJ, give it a go. It will radically improve all aspects of your life.

Started bjj in brotherhood and couldnt be happier. The coaches are great and the students welcomed me like i had been there for years.

First thing to note about brotherhood is the welcome every person receives when they first walk in to the club. Head coach Cole is quick to greet you with a warm welcome and the other club members aren't far behind. Sometimes it can seem daunting going into a new environment/club setting but I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and relaxed. It's pretty common to hear the room roaring with laughter and joking with each other prior to class starting and you're quickly made feel part of the group. A very good and sincere group of people with a great respect for jiu-jitsu and the wellbeing of everyone there.
Jiu-jitsu, especially to beginners can seem overwhelming with the amount of technique and minute detail required to excel but Cole has really amazing communication skills and is really excellent at breaking things down into easy to understand and follow progressions. He gives every student great individual attention helping everyone on the mat progress every session. Every day you step on the mats at brotherhood you're going to come away with some new piece of the puzzle, and that sense of progress keeps you looking forward to the next class before you're out the door of the current one.
As a sport and a form of exercise, Jiu-jitsu is amazing for both physical and mental health. I'd strongly recommend anyone in the Belfast area looking to try something new or anyone already training to stop in.

I had an awesome time with Cole and his students while I was in Belfast! Everyone was very welcoming and I got some awesome training in with the crew. My only regret is that I couldn't stay another day! Definitely recommend this place to anyone in or travelling through Belfast.

Brilliant clear instruction and have been made feel welcome and comfortable from day one which is massive. Cole clearly has spent a long time analysing techniques in great detail and it shows in the nuances of the Jiu Jitsu taught here.

Amazing place to train with top quality coaching and a very inclusive environment. Complex movements are broken down so everyone can understand and not feel lost. Would recommend to anyone looking to start the sport.

came over from London for family funeral, always pack my gi, found this club online , headed down there and was absolutely delighted, Cole the instructor made me feel very welcome, and gave a very beneficial lesson with good sparring at the end, was happy the class was mixed religion, made me feel at ease being a Muslim, will definitely be returning in the future, thanks again!
