Great independent shop, was in the market for a squash racket upgrade, went in for advice and found the staff very knowledgeable. Asked for a deal on a racket and shoulder bag combo and was given a sweet discount. Highly recommend!

What an incredible experience! Went to Gyles Bros looking for a new tennis racquet. I’d read up on a few, but was still pretty in the dark on what to choose. Louie was awesome. He had about a half an hour chat with me about the tech and pluses and minuses of certain racquets. Really knowledgeable and definitely wasn’t steering me towards the more expensive models as I’ve found elsewhere. I’d come a fair distance and Louie sorted out stringing for me there and then. I can’t recommend Gyles Bros highly enough. One of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Definitely stop on by - you won’t regret it. I love my new racquet but it was all the more sweeter knowing that I’d had expert advice and guidance. What a place!

We've been coming here for years to buy tennis, hockey and cricket clothing and equipment. They cater for many other sports too. Very personable and knowledgeable. Today's shop was for junior tennis shoes, good range, quality and prices. My youngest's impulse buy was a basketball. Nice touch that the staff checked the pressure before handing it over. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic service! Able to replace the grommet strip on my ancient squash racket that another shop had told me couldn't be done. Purchased a new squash racket at the same time & the advice given by the young guy working there was brilliant as I was a little lost (last time I purchased a new racket was 15-16 years ago). 18th Feb 2022. Bought Head Boom after great advice from Kier. Price including strings beat internet prices! 30th Jan 2020. Bought tennis ball machine (Tennis Tutor Plus). They don't stock them but get them in very quickly. Again excellent service and best price on internet. 21st June 2019. Bought Head 360 Graphene MP after much great advice given by Kier. Very pleased with the racket and their price was excellent. They do a loan racket system but only have limited rackets so you need to get in the queue early on. Also have 3-4 free parking spaces which is really helpful given parking can be very difficult around there.

A good old fashioned shop, a true gem. Earlier in the year I had ordered a stick off the Internet and ended up giving it away as hated it. So headed to gyles as they have a wide selection in stock. The guy who helped us was friendly and had actually seemed to touch a stick in his life, will definitely return in the future.

We love coming here for sports kit for the boys, my feedback is that the service is very mixed. Some staff are really engaged and knowledgeable and others are so vague that it feels quite uncomfortable. We will keep coming back but please up your game a bit, we have got to the point where we take bets before arriving on the service we will receive ;-)
