Went for a gait analysis with the view to buying some new shoes. Served by Anna who was very knowledgeable and accommodating with my questions, they had a great selection of both road and trail shoes, I was able to try on several pairs and trial them on the treadmill before deciding on a pair. Would highly recommend.

Popped in on impulse just after they opened on a Sunday morning, husband was analysed on the treadmill and recommended a few pairs to try out. Good expertise and advice, only one guy working in the shop but he managed to be attentive to us and others at the same time until his colleague showed up! He gave me a number of different options, and went through the pros and cons of each. Went in to Moti yesterday looking for some road shoes. I was served by a guy who was really helpful and knowledge. He was friendly and able to offer great advice. The shoes I wanted weren't in stock in my size but he found an alternative and addressed all of my concerns. I have used MOTI for many years and have always had great service but I don't know how they are doing this, but they are getting better all the time! I visited recently to purchase new runners and a pair of trails with some very specific requirements. The requests were of no issue to the experts at MOTI. In fact I have just ran in my trails and there are the best pair spec'd to my requirements I have ever had! Keep up the great work MOTI! I honestly can't see why you would go anywhere else!

Went in to upgrade my ancient hokas for something also more gym suitable. Getting over a knee injury and wanting to build up running distances indoors. Got a run through of their shoes and got to try them on and test them on a treadmill. The younger guy who was helping was completely right about going up a size when I thought it was just the shoe. Had a phenomenal run in the gym. Love the on shoes. Very happy with the help and so glad I could runthem on their treadmill before buying.

Had the gait check and shoe recommendation here today, service could not have been quicker or nicer. As an absolute beginner to the running/jogging world the lady who served me was incredibly informative and explained everything as we went along. The best customer service from Dominic and the team. Came in today just to ask about trail shoes. As I currently run in Brooks and Sauconys, tried on a few pairs that Dom recommended and had a run on the treadmill to see how they feel. Went in to the Bristol store today to purchase a pair of running shoes and was blown away by the service! They were so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic it was an absolute pleasure to purchase from them. The first pair of shoes ended up being the ones I bought (they know their stuff!) but they showed me many different options of various styles and price points, talking me through the pros and cons of each shoe and allowing me the time to run in them and try them out. Can’t rate them enough - I’ll never go anywhere else for my running gear!

The right fit! A fantastic experience. I was booked in for an appointment which i missed. I phoned and explained that i had a bike mechanical and they said to pop up later which i did. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Gait analysis gave good indication of which shoes were the best for me. I was given the chance to try as many different shoes on the treadmill as I wanted, and was able to go back to shoes i'd already tried on to make sure i left with the pair I felt happiest with. Dom who did the gait analysis was really helpful as was the chap on the door - didn't get his name. The girl who took my cash at checkout was obviously new and feeling her way into the role but was polite. All in all an incredibly helpful and fantastic experience. I honestly can't imagine why the negative reviews i've seen on here have been written, I was blown away by the professionalism and the service. The price was competitive with online prices and the knowledge and advice was great. I'll be back!

I needed some new running trainers and after buying a pair back in 2015 which lasted a good few years, I returned back. Given the current situation, I had to book an appointment and I was served by James who conducted a gait analysis, offered running advice (who knew I needed to work on my hip flexor!) and provided a choice of trainers to try on. I purchased a pair of Brooks trainers and overall I found the service from Moti and particularly James fantastic. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to buy some running trainers. Do remember to call in and book an appointment in these current times.

Two people had recommended Moti to me for new running shoes and I am so glad I went. They could not have done more for me, potentially the best customer service experience I've ever had. They knew my budget and didn't try and pressure me to spend more. They spent an hour with me, even on the running machine and checking what it was that I wanted. Have been here a few times for running shoes and they have always been great. This time I had achilles trouble with an asics pair and after 8 weeks of struggling I took them back. Steve was great and swapped the shoes for me without any trouble, he suggested a softer pair and was fantastic whilst I tried on several new ones. Would 100% recommend!

Stefan and the team were amazing super helpful and very patient. My other half and I went in there with a list of issues, we left feeling so much more positive about our forthcoming marathon, training ideas, stretches, and new super comfy trainers. I was concerned we would feel a bit stupid being relative beginners but it was quite the opposite. Excellent experience! I needed some new trail shoes as the ones I normally buy were really uncomfortable. I was looked after by Steff who talked through everything with me, I tried on a few pairs of trainers and there was no rush from Steff just an urge to ensure I had the right shoe. Since visiting Moti I have ran in these trainers and I am happy to report that they were perfect, everything that Steff said they would be. Popped in this afternoon to get some new running shoes with my wife. Shopping for running shoes with a young family is pretty difficult - a four-year-old and a toddler don't much like hanging around for all those different shoes to be tried on. Stef was amazing however, and took my daughter's over-familiarity in his stride, and soon adopted her as his assistant - she was soon learning how to fit and sell shoes! I needed to get the deal on what was causing my back pain whilst running. I went into MOTI and they had my running shoes in stock so had me try on a pair and run on their treadmill to do gait analysis. We worked out the problem (my current shoes that I'd bought online were bad for my flat footed running style) and then the staff helpfully recommended the correct type of shoe for my run style. This is so worth doing!! You can't guarantee you are buying the best shoe for your run type until you see it in action, even if the shoe claims to be a good for support or your supposed type. The staff made every effort to help and we spent a good hour trying shoes. I bought the best shoes for my fit and run stule, and left the shop feeling very happy that my back pain will hopefully soon be a thing of the past. The best thing about this shop? The staff know their stuff and they really care :-)

Very, very impressed - I went into the shop yesterday after experiencing knee pain after running. The person who dealt with me was Jake, he has done a sports science degree so knew his biomechanics when it comes to running. I had an in-depth video gait analysis, really good advice on my running technique to prevent further injury, exercises to do at home to improve my running technique and prevent further injury and no pressure at all to buy a new pair of running shoes. The service cost £20 (no charge if you then buy trainers), I would have happily paid double that to have over an hour spent on me by a dedicated professional to improve my running and prevent further issues. This is the first review I have ever done, the reason being I was so impressed - thanks Jake :)

Moti is the go-to specialist running shop in Bristol. Though similarly stocked to other run shops with current road and trail trainers, it is the expertise of the staff that is unmatched anywhere else. My shoe fittings have always been spot on, and my training has improved greatly thanks to their service. Their weekly run club is excellent for all runners, to those starting a couch to 5k all the way to keen running enthusiasts. Moti is the only place I go to for all my running needs and training advice.

Staff here were friendly and knew what they were talking about! I went in to buy some running shoes as I am training for the marathon. I was given a full and free consultation that included filming my running style and trying multiple shoes that may improve my technique. I ended up with a great pair of shoes that were 25% off and not outrageously priced as some running shoes can be. I would definitely recommend this shop as the staff give genuinely helpful advise (rather than just trying to rinse you of money for high tech stuff you don't actually need). I will come back when these shoes die! Also they do student discount!

The team at Moti are absolutely brilliant. I bought my first set of trainers from them a year ago after having spent an hour with one of the team trying 10s of pairs on. Went back in recently after I had run that first pair to the ground (a year later). Everyone there that I've dealt with have been so thorough and so knowledgeable. One piece of advice: don't go if you're short on time, it will take a while to get fitted - but totally worth it.

Not really really knowing too much about the running shoes I needed I went into Moti Bristol with quite an open mind. Although the store was busy I was quickly made to feel very relaxed and a member of their team couldn't have helped me out more. I really felt like the service I was getting was, not only genuine with practical advice, but sincere and unbiased. I have now run over 40 miles in the shoes they recommended and they feel great! My previous shoes were not supporting me and were subsequently causing me pain in both my knees. This place is a god send and I mean it. First visited the shop due to the need of new running shoes. Got their and was instantly greeted, the bloke took me over to a bench sat me down and asked me what I was looking for, whats wrong, previous injuries, where I run you name it. He then made me take of my shoes and socks. He looked at my shoes, even looked at the sole to see where the most pressure is etc! Then checked out my feet and my overall posture when standing then asked me to get on the treadmill and run for a couple minutes. After he looked at the video and assessed my running. After this he made me do a couple exercises like one legged squats etc then finally came to the conclusion to what type of shoes I should be wearing. He went into the back grabbed about 4 and made me try all of them. 1 was a perfect fit and he asked me to get on the treadmill... Still perfect and I ended up getting them! These dudes are honestly amazing, they don't just try to sell you a shoe but to give you advice on the different brands, types of shoes etc even stuff not related to the shoes your getting... For example different types of stretches, routes to go running on etc. These guys are obvious avid marathon runners its plain as day, felt so welcome and felt like I wasn't just being talked to for a sale.

Visited and gave a huge download to Stef about all the issues I've had with running. Looked at my stance and did a number of exercises. Had video gate analysis with my current trainers and subsequently with several suggested pairs. Gave advice on running posture and suggested stretches/exercises. This wasn't just being sold a pair of trainers this was a whole experience which left me leaving the shop extremely happy, having been listened to and receiving brilliant one to one service. Oh and the small matter of getting new running shoes which immediately feel more comfortable. The price paid was competitive with the web but Stef's knowledge was invaluable. Spending about and hour discussing which shoes would be appropriate for me and my goals. They store clothing for all weathers! Short and vest too gloves and waterproofs appropriate for running in. A good selection of nutrition and gels. I was give some testers to take away with me too. They also promote local events and clubs. There is a wall with information on local yoga classes, PTs, nutritionists and events. A great place to go for advise, specific and specialist running gear.
