Arrived at the store today and explained to the staff member that I wanted to undertake the gait testing so that I could see why I have been suffering left ankle issues. The staff were very knowledgeable and immediately saw that my inner soles could be an issue but we proceeded to the gait testing. Instantly he could tell my left foot slightly twists inward and so he got me to try on a few pairs of trainers that have more firmer support underneath. The young boy was a great sales assistant and went to get the shoes and bought them out quickly. Settled on a pair which were very comfortable and support my feet better. Would highly recommend this shop as they know what they are talking about and are professional

Great shop for buying running shoes. It's so much better to be able to try before you buy. and they even have a running form test for a small fee £15 so you can check! that you are buying the right trainers!! (That saved us £25) Very helpful owner 👍 We will definitely be back again ☆☆☆☆☆

Really great experience even in covid-19. I was served by the younger guy in the shop who was very helpful and explained the issues I was having after filming my run. There was no pressure to buy after trying the shoes and in fact I went back in an hour later to purchase the shoes. I can see why there are lots of comments on the older guy in the shop, comes across a little abrupt but didn’t affect my purchase. Got rid of the expensive shoes a year later due to foot pains from shoes

Friendly, informative and helpful staff. Helped me find road and trail running shoes that fit my wide feet perfectly. They have it set up so they can video you running in any shoe and show you the difference any pair will make, and they explain the how and the why. I would recommend them.

Very helpful, tried on lots of shoes each had a gait analysis video. Not cheap but well worth the money because out of the ones I tried on I would have chosen a pair that were making my issue worse. Highly recommended.

Was so impressed with my visit to Runners world. The customer service was absolutely impeccable. Very thorough and enthusiastic customer service from the knowledgable young specialist, supported by the experienced Manager. Tested my running style, asked lots of questions and showed results on video and gave their expert opinion. Then presented multiple shoes until we found the right one for me. Went for Brookes. Very comfortable. Look forward to my first run to try them out

Went there to purchase some new trainers as started to run more frequently. Staff were very helpful as I explained that I had suffered from Plantar fascitis. The member of staff got me to run up and down in my current trainers, showed me the video, asked me to do some movements then gave me a choice of several trainers, prices undisclosed. After running up and down in different trainers I finally picked a pair, not my usual make or model but I haven't looked back. Staff not afraid to spend time with the customer and wasn't pushed into buying the most expensive pair on the shelf. Great experience.

The assistant was very knowledgeable, although I was slightly overwhelmed with options, hence 4 stars! Staff are always happy to help and will do a full gait analysis using a slow motion camera. If you don't make a purchase, the gait analysis is £10 (although this wasn't made clear). They stock a wide range of high quality running shoes from neutral to structured and supportive, and from 0mm to the conventional 12-13mm heel drop, as well as running clothing, socks, insoles etc. Shoes are around £100 and up, but you get what you pay for. Well worth a visit for seasoned and aspiring runners.

This is a excellent specialist shop that I would highly recommend to any runner. I spent over an hour with the staff member there, trying out different options with the video gait analysis and working out the right pairs of shoes for running and cross country. Both fit like a glove and have been ideal for my needs. No pressure to buy a particular brand or the most expensive option - they do well with repeat custom from happy customers!

Exceptionally helpful staff, spent 30-40mins with my wife helping her select a pair of trainers. They are the most comfortable shoes she has ever owned. Not cheap (you can easily spend £100 on one pair of shoes) but worth the investment, your feet will thank you.

Popped in today for a pair of trail running trainers. Have previously shopped here and bought a pair of NB 860 v9 which have proven to be a cracking pair of running trainers so today bought the Brooks Caldera 3. No pressure sales with plenty of choice and I am very happy.

I just want to thank Andrew for his brilliant advice and tips for me running!! The trainers I purchased were perfect for my feet. I didn’t feel pressured to buy something from you. He wanted me to make sure I was 100% before I bought them and also said I could return them once tested on a running machine and get another pair if needed. That wasn’t required. I ran the London marathon 2022 and I didn’t have 1 blister at all and I also have kept all of my toe nails (hoping them falling off isn’t just delayed). I also used the friction rub he recommend and I was comfortable for the full 26.2 miles (slight issue under my arms from my T-shirt rubbing but only where I hadn’t put the friction stuff). I would highly recommend this store and it’s staff to anyone starting out running/looking for trainers to run in that will support your feet properly!! Thanks again!! :)
