A Fantastic Out Door activity Shop covering every pursuit possible and every make possible. The Staff are friendly and helpful with bags of Knowledge and we would recommend this shop to anyone

Lovely store, I generally shop equestrian which is always well stocked and as plenty of choice ranging in price. However the cycle section i find limited for women cyclist. I do mountain biking and commute to and from work regularly and would love to see more clothing for women and shoes etc.

Big shop but lots of stuff is not available... Sizes ...etc... And I just can't bare this hyding price tags where club card price is one and little letters show not a club card price which is hallarious and they force you to be a member, bombard you with adverts, and know everything about your shopping habbits to make you buy more things you do not need. Not coming back.

Went to buy new walking shoes and had very good advice & service from staffer Katie (Derby). I tried Brasher, Scarpa and Peter Storm and then decided to take the Peter Storm as the most comfortable. The bonus was due to relocating sale and with discount card we got £33 off. We're looking forward to seeing the bigger shop when they move to the Wyvern. Update Sept 2022 Been to New shop and it's much bigger. Large range of camping, bikes, fishing & riding gear.

I bought an expensive coat 6 months ago, not needed it til last week and realised I picked up wrong size, I had no receipt but they were really good and gave me a replacement, staff very nice and helpful especially the young girl who served me(don't know her name but was dealt with 15/10/22 5.30pm ish) thanks😊

Great shop. Well laid out and plenty to look at. Added bonus they are also dog friendly so your four legged friend can come shopping with you. Good variety of waterproof coats.

Went to Derby today to buy some walking boots and waterproof trousers. After spending well over £200 we were surprised not to get a 'thank you' or, 'have a nice day' off the assistant. She sounded uninterested tbh. Notice store but we will probably go to Loughborough branch next time.

Like the new store. Lots on offer as always . Nice and tidy store a great place to shop for all activities outdoors. Found what I needed for camping., however some of the staff seem to be young and I thought not very enthusiastic in their approach to customer service.They did help when asked but a smile and a hello would be nice.

Not really a fan of derby shop..staff .following your every move like your the town's shoplifter.uncomfortable shopping experience usually but on my recent visit, we met a lovely Young lad Daniel who works there..he spent time talking and answering our questions..he showed us around and picked the things we needed and even shown us tents that had been brought back so we got an excellent bargain on a mosedale 5..£80 to be exact. Thankyou Daniel for your time, and knowledge..our second time of meeting Daniel was just has informative and pleasurable...Go Outdoors needs more staff like this young chap...

Purchased a bike for my son that needed to be assembled. The bike mechanic, Matt, is an extraordinary chap that clearly loves what he is doing. Arranged a date for collection and what indicated great service for me was the fact that the bike wasn't simply wheeled out to take to the counter to pay when collecting, but Matt took the time to explain any adjustments that might need to be made and how to do them and also the 6-week after sale service. I am from Birmingham and there is a store near me and yet I choose to purchase from this branch during my working week in Derby, that says something. Kudos to Matt and all of the hardworking staff!

It's ok but I think there card system is a waste of time. Why do I need to pay to go in a shop. Yes if it's Costco as they have things there you can only get there? But why in go outdoors. Artificially high.prices to make you think your saving money. Scrap the card system and the money they saved on admin use to reduce your prices more people will shop there.

Go Outdoors is ultimately a frustrating shop. Their stock checking is terrible. Even if their website says it is in stock at store don't expect it to be there. I would phone and physically get someone to check for you before another waisted trip. Their price match system is also annoying as they have a long list of websites that they won't accept pricematches from even if they meet all of the price match criteria. The Staff also seem to be briefed to be extrmemly miserable and reluctant whilst doing price matches making the entire process unpleasant. Despite all of this you don't get a better range or quality outdoor clothing and equipment on the high street so for want of a better option locally this is the best place to go. At the end of the day it is not that cheap and the internet is probably a better bet for quality outdoor gear.

Popped in to look at fishing barrows, there was only 1 out but we then received some of the best customer service I have ever experienced, Stuart, the manager and an older gentleman( sorry didnt get his name) unboxed 2 barrows and set them up for us to see, all the time talking about fishing, and recommending various products and venues, we purchased our barrow, as did another customer who joined in, we had a laugh, we learned a few things, a very enjoyable shopping trip, well done to the staff in this store, we are always quick to moan, but they deserve some praise , well done
