Mad about Mountains is a great, independent outdoor gear shop. It, and its store in Grassington, stock high quality outdoor clothing and equipment. The staff are very friendly and have a great knowledge of the products they sell and using them in the hills and mountains that surround the area.

Tried to get my Scarpa boots from Go Outdoors - none in my size anywhere! Googled the make I wanted and Mad About Mountains came up. Cheaper than anywhere else, no postage to pay and next day delivery despite it being after midday. Exactly what I wanted, what a fantastic service. Edit to add 2022 review: Very helpful staff every time I visit, and sometimes a very helpful dog too. Having bought, returned and claimed warranty on a variety of goods I can say this is definitely my go to outdoors shop for customer service, variety and price My original 2020 review: Pizza is amazing, highly recommend the coffee shop and the clothes prices are also decent with a good selection and helpful staff

Great prices and turnaround with posting out online orders. Customers service was spot on too. They contacted the suppliers of the faulty product for me (not the fault of Mad about Mountains) and arranged for a new item to be sent out. Would recommend to all.
