Highly recommended. The whole team at Scuba Diving Scotland are fantastic. Safety is always their first priority, but their approach delivers fun and rapid learning. As a relatively new diver their expert advice on technique and equipment has been invaluable to me. If you are looking for a 1st class dive school then look no further.

We took the Discover Scuba course, and it was amazing. The instructors were all very kind, open and approachable, and you could really sense the passion for diving, and how keen they were to share that with others! We were taught things very clearly, and at a pace that worked for our group, and came out of the experience wanting more diving, so overall I'd say its a fantastic experience.

I was out diving at the A Frames Finnart this weekend. Had two of the best dives I have ever had. However once out the water I took a tumble. Chris and Tom were over before I landed, kit was off and checking I was OK. Afterwards they helped me get the kit back to the car too. I cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend these guys for diving with. Scuba diving is all about being safe and they were totally on it. Shows all that training does make a difference. I completed my dry suit course with SDS, and had the pleasure to join on some fun dives. I had a great time on both days, and would recommend this dive centre for training or fun diving. The equipment we were given for our dives was in really good condition, and we had the chance to train in a special site - not your typical pool. I feel it was very easy to have an excellent rapport with staff members, all of whom are very professional. I'm looking forward to more days out with them! I also had the chance to buy some gear in their shop. They are very knowledgeable on their products, and are able to provide a lot of after-sale support. Thanks to everyone at Scuba Diving Scotland!

Such a great experience learning to dive with Scuba Diving Scotland! I'm very grateful they were flexible with dates of the course allowing me to catch up with some 1-2-1 training sessions when I couldn't make all of the scheduled times. The instructors themselves make it so easy to get diving and become comfortable in the water. Even though the atmosphere is relaxed and fun you know that it is safe too. I felt so well looked after especially during our weekend of open water dives at Loch Long. I trusted they were in control and watching us closely. I completed the Open Water Course with Scuba Diving Scotland in Jan/Feb 2018. I felt so at ease with the team of instructors who were very friendly, competent and articulate. It was great to meet so many experienced divers who were able to clearly pass on their skills and knowledge. I always felt very safe and reassured! Over the weeks I took part in the course I met some lovely people and developed my skills in diving from absoloutely nothing, to feeling confident and relaxed underwater. I'm looking forward to learning more and to continue with my diving. The location of the training pool in the southside was very handy for me and I loved getting to explore a Scottish loch on my first open water dives.

If you require anything related to scuba diving in Scotland or for going on holiday - these are the guys to go to. Chris, Tommy and the whole team have a wealth of experience and are extremely friendly and welcoming. I have completed a Scuba Review and numerous Discover Local Diving trips and I have been so impressed with how organised and fun they all were. I've signed up to do the Rescue Diver course and some other specialities and look forward to completing more courses with the guys at SDS. Can't recommend them enough! The new shop at Pinkston Water Sports centre is first class too. A great facility with anything you could ever need and also handy just off the M8 for getting cylinders filled.

If you’re reading this, debating whether to try out Scuba diving...do it, and do it with Scuba Diving Scotland. My wife Laura and I have just been successfully coached through our PADI Open Water course by Chris, Tommy and the rest of their excellent dive team who genuinely couldn’t have made the experience any more enjoyable. I was personally very anxious about scuba but knew it was something I wanted to try. The Scuba Dive Scotland team were so patient and understanding and the end result is that I am now an accredited open water diver. I am now looking forward to using my new skills on my upcoming holiday to the Caribbean. A lot more forgiving conditions than those at Loch Long I hope!! Thanks again guys 👌🏼

They saved my dive! Happened to be on the same site as these guys when the neck seal on my drysuit catastrophically ruptured. Fortunately chris was there to give me a spare seal and he even fitted it for me while I was still wearing it. Managed to get back in the water with only a 10 minute delay. In all honesty I was apprehensive and somewhat nervous at the prospect of completing three courses in just 2 days. Rescue diver, Emergency First Responder & Oxygen Provider. However as they were all I needed to obtain Master Scuba Diver status, I decided to get on and do it. I have completed training with SDS before, and was impressed with the care and friendliness shown to me as a ‘newcomer’ so much that I travelled from Wales to Glasgow to do these latest courses! The Rescue Diver course worried me the most, because of all the role play and scenarios, but I needn’t have worried at all, as Chris and Tommy put me totally at ease and helped me to relax so I could take in (and enjoy) the course material. It was training in a very small group, where the ratio of instructors was more than one to one student! I did feel in safe hands. The Scots will tell you that the water in Loch Long was warm!! But even though it was actually chilly, the warmth and sincerity of the guys here kept me warm!! For now, I’ve reached my ceiling for training, as I don’t plan to go Divemaster, but if/when I do, Scuba Diving Scotland will be my first call. Thanks very much.

I have completed my Dry Suit Speciality with Chris and the crew of Scuba Diving Scotland and I can say with confidence that I would recommend them for anyone who is looking to do some diving in Scotland. They have been incredibly friendly and accommodating and, despite the challenges of diving in a Dry Suit for the first time and the cold weather, I did not feel scared or overwhelmed, but rather pretty safe and informed, both before and during the diving, thanks to the Scuba Diving Scotland team for taking care and looking out for their students to assure we knew what was going on. I'll definitely be diving with them again!

Top notch guys, brilliant sport. Did my advanced open water dive course with Tommy, Chris and Phil. The guys really know their stuff and I felt safe in their hands, even at the bottom of a loch with no regulator in my mouth! There are some cowboys out there, but these guys are the real deal. Signed up and completed my Open Water Course with SDS. Pool sessions were well run and made sure everyone knew exactly what was expected of them. On open water day 1 I had massive problems with equalizing to the pressure when going under. Was taken aside by an instructor who spent extra time helping get me where I needed to be to pass that day. By the instructors own admission he didn't think I would manage to get past the pressure but he spent the extra time anyway and made it work. Day 2 my problems had sorted themselves out and was able to pass the course. Can't say enough about the organisation and professionalism of the staff running the course. They know their craft inside and out and will spend that extra time to get people through the course. £400 seems a lot but for the time, kit and expertise of the instructors its definitely not.

I carried out my dive rescue course at the end of August with Tom and Chris in Aberdeen. From the outset Tom and Chris were very welcoming and instantly put any nerves we had at ease. We carried out the knowledge reviews with Tom and he was very clear with his theory and made it easy to understand. It was evident that he has years of experience which is exactly what you want when carrying out a course of this manner. Throughout the course both Tom and Chris were always willing to help, wether it would be with the practical exercises, broken equipment (sorry for snapping the fin straps) or simply offering tips and advice from their own experiences. Personally I think Tom and Chris’s teaching style was spot on. The correct level of humour and seriousness was used throughout the course to keep it enjoyable while completing the necessary exercises. Chris and Tom were a pleasure to work with and it is clear that they really enjoy the job they do. Keep up the good work and hopefully we will see you in the future for more giving. Thanks again. Having just completed an OW course with SDS, I found all of their instructors to be extremely safety conscious, but still great at making you feel at ease and having a laugh while you’re learning. I approached Scuba Diving Scotland asking for a favour to help me out with a university project I was working on that was related to scuba divers. They replied within minutes showing nothing but enthusiasm to help me out with my project and Chris, the man responding on behalf of SDS, could not have been any more friendly. We required Chris and Scuba Diving Scotland for a scene we were shooting for a short film which was set underwater in the sea near Pettycur Bay, Scotland. An actress, director and DP were all in the water with action being carried out and underwater camera equipment being used. Beforehand, the crew was apprehensive about being in the water as we hadn’t before experienced such filming conditions. Chris was fantastic, he came well prepared for what we needed, he made everyone feel safe and had great knowledge of the area and what to look out for such as rocks and jellyfish. He provided us with all the necessary safety equipment and put our minds at rest while in the water. He even helped get some shots we felt were unachievable. If you are a"water baby "or if you think you are and you want just try scuba dive -this is THE BEST PLACE -to start 🏁 probably your best ever adventure.I just pass my Open Water Scuba Diving cours and I tell you something, was worth every peny I spend. Firstly the Dive Team is amazing (even you Ashley 😘)very profesional and friendly, more like good family then team,they help you with everything (Chris is good on feet massage) and you never be left alone with any problem.I had problem with equalization and need more time to get deeper into the water but with these team you CAN do everything so I did. Another good thing -NO HIDDEN FEES -all straight and clear, dont need buy anything they arrange everything from mask to fins. Again BIG thanks to all dive team and.... See you in the water 👌👌👌
