Super service. Friendly and welcoming store assistant - and most importantly non-intimidating! Having done a lot of research on the internet, I made the hour drive to try out their running machines. It was an invaluable experience. The difference between the machines was explained at a level that I could understand - with focus on the basics and my usage rather than the gimmicks! We had researched the TDF Exercise bike online and The Fitness Superstore came up. We visited the Gloucester store and had first class service from start to finish. The store associate had good knowledge of the product and when we mentioned prices on line, they were actually cheaper than their online prices and gave us a very good deal. Great showroom to test and view all of the equipment and really helpful staff. Peter Dalton the Manager was very patient, knowledgable and helpful. Peter went out of his way to help with delivery and various other questions I had. The staff were not at all pushy, I felt comfortable asking all sorts of questions as a novis. Dan was very helpful at the Gloucester Store & the Schwinn exercise bike I bought was delivered the next day before 9.30am. Assembly was straightforward & the tool pack was the best I've seen in any self assembly. I've used the bike twice since yesterday so far and am delighted with it. The Schwinn 170i offers everything I need and more. A great design & robust piece of equipment.

Went today and was really impressed, trawled through loads of websites first looking for 'serious' exercise bikes, saw the company did a brochure, then on looking through it discovered there was a branch in Gloucester, not too far away from me. So took a trip down today and in today's online marketplace, it was nice to find a good old traditional retailer with everything on show and knowledgeable staff (not over 100 miles away!) Anyway had a look around, much bigger than I'd imagined, well laid out, all the different disciplines. So ordered a bike probably more than I would have 'risked' from buying online; (to be reviewed later) Yes the internet has its advantages but for some things you want that personal/knowledgeable service.

OMG, Customer Service does exist!!!! Great showroom and good to use the equipment first before buying. Service from the staff, in particular Pete was exemplary, good advice, not at all pushy even though I ended up buying a cheaper machine than I had originally enquired about. Delivery was very quick, the next day and kept up to date exactly when it would be delivered. Slight issue with 4 small screws missing after building, which the manufacturer said they would send on to me. One call to the store though and Pete took the screw out of their machine, checked the size and sent details to me very quickly so I could pop to B & Q and buy some and start using the machine. Definitely recommend and would not entertain buying elsewhere in future.

Have ordered a few items over the years, last year 2016 we ordered a couple of high value items for our new home gym. The service the store manager gave was nothing short of incredible, we looked at purchasing options as well as the kit I wanted, the store then took care of dealing with the two delivery companies [technogym do their own] and everything worked perfectly. I can highly recommend fitness superstore, and generally if you are looking for gym stuff, give them a try first, you might be surprised, these guys beat or matched all the prices I threw at them.

I wanted to buy an exercise bike to use at home. I tried looking at the reviews on the internet but just ended up feeling rather confused (and unsure which were fake / product placements). So, decided best to visit a place that had a decent amount of stock and could give good advice. Fortunately a discount flyer for the Gloucester Fitness Superstore arrived through the letterbox! Apart from a little bit of difficulty finding the car park (have to follow the road right around to the back) I had an exemplary shopping experience. I found Pete, the manager, very helpful and knowledgeable and am very happy with the bike I bought. I waited a couple of months before posting this review - in case I had any problems, but everything fine. Highly recommended.

It's actually quite difficult to find somewhere that has a good range of fitness equipment on display, which this store certainly does. Went to visit in our search for a treadmill. I received my SB1.8 Indoor cycle perfectly packaged. I assembled it in about an hour. I love the bike, both to use and view the quality. I haven't quite got to grips with the electronic monitor yet as find the screen a little dim, my old eyes "nearly eighty", but I love the quietness of the bike. I noticed when I first assembled it that the flywheel didn't look perfectly true, I read the instruction book which said if the belt was at all out of line it would make the bike a bit noisy, it certainly did. I just had to make just a very slight correction and it is now completely SILENT. I love it. Thanks, Richard.

Having purchased a cross trainer from their Northampton address in 2007 I was delighted to find out that Fitness First had opened in Gloucester. On arrival at the store my wife and I were made very welcome and their manager Peter Dalton gave us first class information about the various fitness bicycles on show and as a result were able to make a purchase for our new gym at home. I recently went into Fitness Superstore in Gloucester after spending a great deal of time looking at online reviews for Spin bikes. As a PT I teach a lot of Spin so have had my share of time on great bikes and not so great bikes so research was key. When we arrived in store we met Peter and his colleague, both were friendly and welcoming and there to help if need be. I was shown to the bikes and left to snoop around (this is a good thing) I had enough time to try them all and ended up buying one that I hadn't considered online (I thought it seemed expensive) as the quality was great and the ride was so much better. It was great to have a chat with a like minded fitness professional, Peter knows his Spin bikes so was a good sounding board, he didn't push me to upgrade, simply asked helpful questions to ensure I was choosing the right bike for me. My ICG1 does a great job, it was easy to assemble (easier than my bicycle) I've changed the pedals for SPD - SL's as I like to ride in Shimanos and I will upgrade the monitor with one with a back light (purely as I like to train in the dark and the standard monitor has no back light). All in all this is a great bike for home or commercial use. Thank you Team Gloucester!

Went in to buy a rower, bought a rower had a very large range of all sorts of fitness equipment, I was helped to make a decision on the correct rower to buy. I was asked what help I needed and then told I could try the machines out and when I asked questions they were fully answered. When kitting out our home Gym, the service we experienced at Fitness Superstore was exceptional. Pete and his team are helpful, knowledgable and offer advice when needed, but are never pushy. Delivery was also excellent, the team arrived on time and even carried heavier objects to the required place for me. I was looking on their website at some adjustable dumbbells, found some that looked good but I wanted to see them and try them I'm person. As I live in Plymouth and the closest store was in Gloucester, I used the online chat feature on fitness superstore to see if the eery were on display. Got a quick straight forward response of yes they were on display and I could use them, they also informed me they were in stock, so I could take them home that day. I set off with the intent to arrive around 4:30, due to traffic I got there about five minutes before they close and was worried they'd just try to shoe me out the door like most retailers now a days. Was pleasantly surprised. Both employees who were there were so helpful, let me take my time to make my decision, they even suggested I tried the dumbbells on one of the display benchs. I chose to purchase The pair of dumbbells and the guys even let me drive my car around to there car park to make loading them easier. I would hole heartedly recommend fitness superstore because they were the cheapest prices I found on the Internet with a great range and I would also recommend going in store, despite the load drive for me, to have a look at there products, get advise from their friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff so u find exactly what you are looking for. I will definitely be returning to their stores next time I expand my home gym.
