Picked up a cheap daysack in the sale, even though that's not what I went in for. Bought some new walking shoe's at reasonable price. But, unlike previous occasions no help from the member of staff. Fortunately I knew what I required.

Nice place for your winter jacket and camping equipment and other accessories. Staff is friendly here too, since it's situated on high street there is no parking facility and have to walk there. Overall good experience.

Really lovely. I bought some shoes that I wasn't sure would fit. I called up in advance to check that they had the right size and they have put them aside for me for the next day. I've also been here lots of times before and they have a great selection and often very good discounts.

This shop has a constant sale that's not a sale. The staff are very friendly and the store well laid out. They've recently hung their hat on the merrell label. I think a mistake its not that good.

Helpful service in the female section but quite limited & informed nothing over £200 is stocked in store. The hiking jacket I was looking to buy was > £200 but reduced to £129 but unable to buy or order in store !

I would like to say Thank you to Craig (shop assistant) who was extremely patient and helpful with us . He brings his high knowledge at work. Over a year I had a pain in my leg and non of the insole did not solved my problem, but he helped me he showed one insole explain everything about it and now I have no pain at all. Thank you Craig keep it up.

Clean well laid out store, a range of goods on display making buying in store better than online as able to look and feel the products. I bought a pair of merrell walking shoes. The staff were very friendly, knowledge and extremely helpful. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the member of staff who assisted me or I would have mentioned him. He went out of his way to make sure I bought the correct fitting shoes ensuring I walked around the store and up/down a slope to check for correct fitting. If I'd bought online I would have bought size I usually wear and ended up with shoes too small. Definitely recommend this store.

The crutch for the any expeditions I go on. They have made mistakes, for example a staff member missread the stock list meaning i wouldnt be able to make the order. Having realised the mistake she chased me down and apologised many times. There is also a chap that works there and i see him everytime... he probably think I live there, the amount I visit lol

I've been hiking and walking for many years now and like most people i like to get a bargain online so i went to my local blacks to try on a pair of walking boots with the intention of buying something cheaper online .I was so impressed with The service and advice that I received you can tell the staff actually know what they are talking about and actually do go hiking etc ironically I found a pair of good boots online reduced by 50% through blacks click and collect . The other thing I should mention is they can stretch boots if one shoe is too tight free of charge ! You don't get that at the so called cheaper stores .

Very helpful staff, have great offers on at times and good variety of products for outdoor activities! Went here before my hiking trip to North-Pakistan and got great advice.
