C. I.The staff here are so sweet! Came in for a shirt for my partner back home and wasn’t sure about sizing. Didn’t get any attitude, had three of the staff jump in to offer examples of what their own sizes looked like on them. Would love to shop here regularly
l. m.What a lovely bunch of people. Gorgeous manager who was so kind and helpful. Basically went in to get my daughter's wheels put on to a skateboard she had been gifted and was feeling embarrassed hadn't even bought it there !! He was so charming and said no worries , tiny fee to put bridges? And wheels on . We bought some socks. We do come here every time we are in London, quality shop and service. Thank you boys and keep up good work.

H. B.Truly excellent shop. I have been in twice since christmas and both times have had first rate service from expert, enthusiastic staff.
The first time I wanted to create a bespoke board. There was a large range of sizes, styles and designs to choose from fitting all needs and experience. The assistant explained ths different boards, trucks and wheels, gave excellent advice and never tried to over sell me. I left with an excellent board at the right price and very happy.
A week later I was back with a different board that had been left in a shed for years and had seized up trucks and wheels. I bought a relatively cheap set of trucks and left the board with the shop for an hour to swap them over.
When I came back they told me that the damage had been worse than they first realised and they couldnt separate the old board from the trucks and wheels at all. But rather than leave me dissatisfied they had put the new trucks on a second hand board they had which, with wheels thrown in as well, they gave me for free.
Service like this is so rare but its because the staff are genuine skate enthusiasts. I cant recommend slam city highly enough and wouldnt hesitate to go back.

But i went to element down the road where they were lovley and had a much bigger place with a much larger selection which isn’t slam city’s fault. I did love everything in Slam City but I bought some £8 Santa Cruz wax from element and they threw loads of stickers in the bag and were very helpful, going into Slam City I thought the expirence would be the same especially since I bought a £70 thrasher hoodie from Slam City but they didn’t give out any stickers or anything

m. m.Amazing shop. Just bought a vans hoodie. Staff is very kind and helpful. Good clothes, but there could be a bit more variety. A bit expensive (hoodie £55) but totally worth it for the clothes you are buying.
S. A.I stormed into Slam City Skates West London at the risk of missing my flight back to New York, but I refused to leave town without a birthday present for my daughter. Harry and "the dude that built my daughter's first complete deck" (will post his name here once I remember/find out, he looked like a taller, cooler Tye Sheridan) were awesome. They encouraged me to consider a welcomeboard for my kid as she's only 3 and I couldn't be happier. Especially, with the twisted rabbit art on the Nora Vasconcello's deck. Went Thunder trucks, Slam City 51MM wheels, and some good old fashioned Red Bones. And a pink RipNDip grip tape. The team at Slam City Skates West London made me feel like a kid again, gave me a massive amount of insight into the skateboarding culture as of 2018 to help teach my kid, and flat out provided excellent customer service. Sure, they know their product, but they genuinely cared about my obsession of connecting my daughter into the world of skateboarding. The latter Tye-Sheridan look-alike (again, name to be posted, Tim/Sam? Shoot) as he was building the deck gave me an interesting breakdown of the history of the store, how decks get selected by the staff, how the larger skateboarding market is working today, and how the fever of skateboarding culture has been higher than ever. I was in and out like a mad man so I'm thankful they were able to be patient with my rapid fire questions and need to get out the door. They got it done and I can't recommend them enough. Sk8!

D. K.Not what it used to be when in terms of amount of stock and size of the old store. But I guess that's result of extortionate rent and business rates :( and of course online shopping. It's a shame as years gone by Slam City was the place to hangout, touch and feel the stuff you wanted to buy!

G. L.Really don't understand why there are people coming into the store and complaining about the attitude of Staff. In my experience of shopping at the New and Old Covent stores AND the brick lane store, no staff has ever had a rotten attitude. This is Skateboarding we are talking about, every skater has their own style and personality, if you are new to the culture (not making out as if I'm an OG, I'm not) you may not understand this. If you want a clinical, oversaturated and boring skate shop Slam isn't, and never will be the place for you to be. It is run by skaters, for skaters and every single member of staff is a genuine character who cares deeply about the community as a whole. In short, If you want to be served by a corporate minded, boring sales assistant who probably doesn't even skate and would sell you anything "within your price range" regardless of its quality, then please don't waste the Slam staffs time and take your business elsewhere!
Slam, keep doing what you've been doing for the past couple of decades, and you'll continue to be the beating heart of London skateboarding.
