Amazing customer service. Harry went above and beyond to help us. He has incredible knowledge of skates and blades and I would not buy from anywhere else. He is patient and takes the time to ensure that you try the skates and find the suitable style for you. Friendly, helpful and professional. Perfect family run skate shop where they really care about you. Thanks Harry. We will be back soon.

Very small compact place. Harry is a wonder, he knows his stuff and will take his time with you one on one to find you the right product or solution for you without trying to up-sell.
He didn't hide the fact that he could stamp out my existing skates without making a sale to fix my problem. He helped me try on multiple skates, mould them and sharpen them. He stayed an hour beyond closing time for myself and two other customers who were buying right by closing time.
I was fully expecting to have to come back another day for moulding and sharpening but was pleasantly surprised. Does miracles with such a small space. Truly incredible. Be patient, he's offering this great service to each and every person and there's only one of him.

Amazing shop! Harry was so so helpful, really thorough and honest in his recommendations of skates for me. I've been researching skates for weeks online, and almost bought some, so glad I didn't! Harry measured my feet, gave me a couple of pairs of skates to try on, showing me how to lace and unlace them correctly too. His knowledge of skates is great, and he talked me through all the options, what they should feel like and what's important when choosing skates. As a beginner, I felt he was honest with how much I should be paying for the level of skates I need, and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me expensive options or take advantage of my lack of experience. Harry punched out my skates to make the fit perfect, and assured me I could come back for further alterations whenever needed. He also sharpened the blades and put some insoles in to help with my tricky sized feet free of charge too! Totally recommend this shop, its miles better than other skate shops I've been to, and well worth the trek from West London!

I wanted to say what a great experience I had at Streatham Skates. Harry was great and very helpful. Not only he explained what to look for when getting new boots he also gave me really good tips on how to size skates. He showed a couple of options and found the right boots for me.
Applying some experience to your inexperience can help make sure you stay safe and save money too.
The shop is well-stocked, and they also do second hand in perfect condition. Every time I need a boot-stretch or check the blades, they get it done while I wait. Best shop ever! I'd never go anywhere else.
Streatham Skates is in the new Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre. First floor by the ice rink.

We've visited a couple of times after my daughter's ice skating sessions at the leisure centre. We've found Harry to be very helpful and willing to guide clueless people like ourselves. Ice skating is a potentially expensive hobby, so it's reassuring to know that you can purchase used equipment in confidence and be given expert advice by someone so knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended! I was looking to buy my first pair of skates, and Harry took the time to understand my skating experience, aspirations, what research I'd done (loads, I nearly bought online) and what misconceptions I had picked up (turns out having bunion problems did not mean I have wide feet). After measuring both of my feet and selecting a few pairs of skates for me to try, he educated me on what a well-fitting pair of skates should feel like so I could make informed choices. All the skates he selected were comfortable, a white pair of Edeas fit me the best of all, but I wanted it in black... Harry didn't have them new in black, but rummaged behind the counter to find black pair that was second hand that was practically brand new, and offered it to me nearly half the price of a new pair! That's going the extra mile to make a customer happy :) He also sharpened the blades and stretched the bunion part of the shoes for me for freeeeeee. I tried to give him £10 tip as a token of my gratitude but he wouldn't accept! So I tried to buy a bunch of accessories to make up for it and he was like, "You don't need ALL the accessories...". What a kind, good man. Great place, I'll definitely come back if I need anything skates related :)

This place may be small, but the quality of service by Harry was brilliant. Knowledgeable, friendly, reassuring, extremely fair prices and no upsell of anything to either my daughter and I, nor any of the other customers who came in whilst we were there. My daughter (who the skates were for) and I couldn't have been happier. We had to travel up from Brighton and it was well worth the trip.

Harry is really helpful. Great to be able to leave skates with him to have the blades grinded
