Superb customer services from Barry. Ordered a deck for my son for Christmas, unfortunately, despite excellent attempt from the company the delivery service managed to misplace the item. Ordered custom build scooter as a Christmas present for my boy. Bought in plenty of time for Christmas. Ripped Knees kept in contact to keep me informed of dispatch. Had a lot of issues with issues with Hermes delivery company but Ripped Knees were absolutely fantastic with their communication and guidance which culminated in them sending a replacement scooter next day delivery to ensure my son had his Christmas present on time. Hermes did eventually deliver the original order and Ripped Knees have made the returns process for the additional scooter extremely easy. The scooter itself is high quality and packaged really well to prevent damage in transit. Highly recommend Ripped Knees for peace of mind with your purchase.

Cannot recommend these guys enough! My son is 11 and loves coming to the store. We travel quite a way to get from ours to the store (around an hour) and its worth the journey, Barry was fantastic on yesterdays visit, he helped Jack custom design and make his dream scooter. Wow! In all honestly, I’ve seldom, if ever received such incredible customer service! We ordered a custom scooter for our son for Xmas. There was a glitch with the scooter on Xmas Day which we couldn’t rectify, and which couldn’t have been found without using it. Sad, but these things do happen. The measure of a company is how they deal with issues and resolve them. I sent an email on Boxing Day, which fell on the Saturday, expecting a response late on the following week. On Sunday 27th I received a call from the company, and they skilfully directed my husband with a temporary fix, with the promise of parts to be sent out in the post, which then arrived within a day or two. We’ve received abysmal service from other online scooter companies, so really wanted to praise Ripped Knees. Honest, friendly, knowledgeable, incredible service - even responding when they should be closed! Won’t hesitate to use again or recommend. 5 ⭐️

It is refreshing to receive such amazing customer service! Having placed an order online, the item in question was unfortunately out of stock. I called in and spoke to Barry who went above and beyond to ensure that I not only had a replacement product (better than the original) but ensured it was shipped the same day at no additional cost to ensure wrapped and ready for Xmas Morning. There turns out to be a very good reason why so many 5 star reviews on here mention Barry, the owner of the shop. Super helpful dude, took the time to give me my tracking no. over the phone as well as follow up with an email. Managed to ship out the order in between the limbo days after Xmas and before new year. There's always the push to support local business etc. and it is sometimes easier said than done for the consumers when big companies can set low prices, but with an owner like Barry, you actually have a genuine reason to.

Was in the store today, what an Aladdin s cave this is, quality range of scooters and all the accessories you could want to fit to your scooters. My son is 8 and just started riding scooters. The guy working there was very friendly and knows his stuff. Walking round the shop was well laid out, bright and well stocked. We got a lot of information from the gent who served us which was very helpful to me. Fantastic customer service. Barry took time to listen to what my son needed/wanted and gave very honest advice over the phone, going so far as to recommend a few brands then suggest we look at the site then send him a list for him to give further guidance. We then went to the shop (check the times though - we fell foul of an early close on a Monday) and, again, received excellent service. Barry remembered our conversation and was very attentive even though the shop was busy. Barry could have easily pushed my son towards a custom build, and therefore a bigger sale, but it was only briefly discussed and dismissed. My son got a complete scooter that is perfect for him and he loves. Given a chat about maintenance and told to call if any issues. Fantastic, definitely recommend and will go back.

Recently visited Ripped Knees with my 12 year old son. My son was wanting to change a couple of parts on his scooter. Throughout our trip there we were treated courteously, knowledgeably and offered a good range of readily available products. I appreciated the time Barry took to explain everything to my son who is into 'all things scooting' at the moment. Would really recommend the experience to any scooter enthusiasts out there. Internet shopping is great at times but nothing compares to seeing all of the scooter parts on display. Our parts were added very quickly and we walked out very pleased with the service received.

Our second time buying from ripped knees but this time my son wanted a custom scooter, which i have no clue at all about. The guys here are fantastic nothing was a bother my son had an idea what he wanted the young lad we seen was brill very helpful and patient and also knowledgeable. On picking the scooter up there was a slight problem with the clamp my son had picked it needed to be ordered. Barry has fixed a different one on the scooter while we wait for the other one to come in. Which while it was not the one my son had picked he was over the moon he doesn't have to wait for the other clamp to come in first before he could take his scooter away. Barry is also going to cut the handlebars down as they are sitting to high for my son again i felt like nothing was a problem. Fantastic customer service happy mam and even more importantly very happy son. We will definitely be back and i will definitely be recommending Barry and the lads here at ripped knees.

My son and his friends have been going to Ripped Knees since it opened. He has bought several items there, all of which have been great quality with a cracking service. My son recently ordered some bars and given that we weren't able to get up to Newcastle before we left for the weekend to go on a road trip (to a huge skatepark down south ) and they had been delivered to the shop that afternoon, Barry very kindly dropped them off for us before we left so that he had his new bars to use when he was away. The guy in the shop tried to fix the problem but turned out the bars had a problem with the screws or something. He put brand new bars on and showed me exactly how to do the maintenance, he was very friendly and understanding as I wasn’t sure of how scooters should be maintained. I came across the shop after my son was talking about a scooter for his birthday so I decided to head down and see what options there were. After speaking to Barry and looking around the shop my little lad had decided on what he would like and bamboozled me with parts and names all of which I didn't have a clue about. Bought a custom scooter from another retailer and it come with parts that didn’t fit. Went to ripped knees to get correct parts. Barry went above and beyond to correct the problems even though we went to a different retailer. So In future I will be heading to ripped knees for all our scooter parts etc etc. I can not stress how good his customer service skills were and even spent his own time at no cost to put the scooter together for us. Remember that majority of the bits were from a different retailer. How many people do you know that would do that ??? Not many I bet and I for one wouldn’t have did it lol.
