A fantastic company that I have been buying sportswear from for many years. They cater for many different sports and have lots of brands at reasonable prices. The only thing that I feel would make the company even better is free returns, however this is a not a factor that influences my decision to buy from them. When we asked a staff member they informed us the best person to ask would be someone else and he went and got her for us. I think her name was Chrissy but I can’t remember. She was excellent. Very good service and product, would have given 5 stars but one pair of socks in the multi pack had two right footed socks. I know that sounds a bit weird but they are walking socks and the padding is in the wrong place, so no good. Apart from that, very happy 😊

I have had a run (no pun intended!), of buying trainers which haven't fitted well at all due largely to a change in sizing policy by manufacturer's. I phoned Start Fitness and was put through to a chap who worked in mail order. He was very helpful and after a discussion, he advised that he had the same problem and always wore a half size larger. I took his advice and the shoes he recommended (ASICS Gel Cumulus), and I'm delighted with the outcome. The fit is spot on, the shoe itself is as comfortable as any I have ever worn, the insoles in particular are superb and the price was really good. When they wear out, I'll definitely go back to SF for replacements. p.s. didn't get the chaps name, but my thanks to him, anyway!

Ordered three compression tops in the online sale after a friend who is a sports scientist advised me to get one. I have a mild scoliosis and one leg slightly longer than the other and am training to do a marathon but i was getting shoulder and scapular and t spine pain when running. I was struggling but then found out runner Husain Bolt has scoliosis so was encouraged that there was a way to keep going. Then i got my friends advice. I ordered a BMC Roadmachine One AXS off them as they price matched . However was given wrong info on their chat as to whether you can still buy with their interest free deals they said can't but you can. Post order the communication was sparse only the day before the bike was being shipped did I get a call and emails arrived till then I was in the dark as to when next weeks delivery was. However packing was excellent and all I had to do was the handlebar and add pedals. True customer service is non existant and the quality of many of the products sold is very poor, I lost count of how many times I contacted this company and the eBay section of the company, I did have a very patrionisng MICKEY relpy, who must have been on his second day working there after leaving school, obviously he had no training in customer services or relations, and all I was offering is suggestive advice on their inaccurate size references, (something they admit to see below in small print) but here is a tip for those who wish to use this store, buy 2 sizes larger and quality wise expect what you pay for.

Then at the desk I asked about a heart rate sensor and its compatibility with my polar watch. I wasn't sure if it was what I needed, the guy who was called over to help me couldn't have been more different. His response was well if it has this function it will. After trying to search I couldnt find what I needed to know, after saying this to the sales person he just turned around stuck it back on the shelf and walked away. I know it is impossible to know every watch and compatibility with extras with vast market but his attitude was shocking. Seriously lacking customer service skills, a simple oh sorry I am unsure too would have gone a long way.
