Can not praise the young man at nottingham branch,(sorry I did not get name), who assisted me when I went in to buy walking boots. He told me he was a cycle technician and normally did not work on this department but he was courteous, knowledgeable and helped me find a fantastic bargain. Good store great selections.

Great place to get equipment for all sorts of outdoor activities, camping cycling hiking fishing etc. Discount prices are good but not always the bargain they appear to be so just don't buy because it says 50% off. But what you need and Check competition before you buy as the price may be the same or marginally lower else where.

I LOVE this store. Huge. Amazing collection of coats for women, men and children. Some fashionable not just standard walking coats. from thin rain coats to down feather thick winter coats. Loads of clothes, Wellies, walking boots, hiking gear, camping gear, accessories. So much to look at. Social distancing in place and guards at the tills. Overheard staff helping customers find and choose things. I bought a £5 discount membership and saves £88 off my shop for coat and wellies. No brainer!

Kept the price to a reasonable level AND explained the pricing at the till to make sure I wasn't overcharged. As the big guy in the film says ' I'll be back '.

Check the sizes as the hanger sizes were wrong on 4 of the items I looked at. Overfull rails but not many sizes. Lots of other options though.

Huge, spacious, and packed with everything you could ever want for family camping and outdoor activities. Same owners as Blacks, Millets, Ultimate Outdoors, Evans Cycles and JB Sports which reduces competitive pricing, but they don't overcharge.

Go out doors is my go to place for great bargains. Both budget and high end clothing and equipment available and the extra 10% off if Go outdoors fail to match a price you get elsewhere in the UK is a bonus. Just remember to ask for it. I take all my new walking and climbing friends to Gooutdoors to get kitted out. Shame I don’t get loyalty bonus or vouchers for introducing so many people to go outdoors. Staff lack technical knowledge but occasionally they have knowledgable staff that can offer good advice. Do your own research before going to store. Must not forget free car parking is great. Long live gooutdoors

I went to Go Outdoors with a friend today, to get improved camping gear, and outdoor clothing. After spending an hour and a half browsing the extensive range they have available, we received outstanding service from the girl with pink hair and facial piercings. She was informative, friendly and very helpful. A credit to the store, I will be returning in the future.

I have to say Callum at Nottingham was brilliant. We rang to ask him some advice about our new Cadac bbq he was very helpful and told us he would keep the accessories we wanted. We came from Derbyshire so took us a while to get there. When we arrived we asked for Callum he gave us a demo on using the bbq and we purchased all the accessories we need thank you Callum so pleased with the service.

I always have an enjoyable time in store, I noticed someone left in a bit of a huff as they said he needed a £5 card to get the discounts. I highly recommend the purchase of a card as unless your buying a very small item you will get more than your £5 back on your first purchases. Not only that there are several organisations if you belong to which will get you a further discount on top of your card. Bargain. I can honistly say I love the shop get all my holiday cloths and comping essentials from them.

I purchased a bike from this store a few months ago and it's a go outdoors own brand bike (Calibre). The bike is superb but that's not really what I'm reviewing here it's the store. This store is absolutely spot on, a decent range of cycling gear to choose from, the two blokes that served me were spot on. Very wide selection of other sports and outdoor activities too, some very nice tents in store too.

Excellent store stocking a wide range of outdoor products. Has clothing and shoes on the ground floor and tents, sleeping bags and accessories on 1st floor. I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful when purchasing items. There is a large car park at the rear of the store with plenty of spaces.

Visited store today at 1.30pm and found the shop floor to be staff less. Found only 2 staff in the store. No one upstairs at all to assist me. So spent ages looking for what I wanted. One lady on the till and the other poor lad being run ragged. However he stopped what he was doing and assisted me in getting some sunglasses from a locked display. As a frequent visitor this is not normal. Obviously needs some planning to make sure enough cover for when staff are off.

Good selection of stuff. Lots of mispriced items. Eveything has two prices, the normal going-rate' price that requires the purchase of a £5 discount card that expires every year and another rediculously high price. The trouble is many things are priced up incorrectly and the website prices are different again. Minimum wage type staff have zero interest in the store' field. Can't imagine it will survive long-term, it was dead when I went and I abandoned merchandise at the till due to prices that were wrong all over shelves, unhelpful staff. Went to Argos and Amazon instead and was same price but without the barriers to sale.

Met up for breakfast with my old student/rugby friends. We are all 70+. Friendly welcome, lovely full breakfast and sat undisturbed for nearly two hours whilst we "shot the breeze". Staff very helpful but thin on the ground,had to go looking for someone after being stood waiting for a good ten to fifteen minutes needing assistance with some boots,good choice of boots and shoes but woefully understocked on sizes,out of eight different boots I chose only three were available in my size,a few more staff on the shop floor and better stock levels would have given them at least another star,as it happens the three pairs of boots they had in my size weren't suitable so I'll have to go elsewhere.
