Reviews of The Piste Office

Excellent value products. The only UK store currently stocking Kinco mitts in my size. Very prompt delivery - less than 24hr after ordering my mitts they arrived. The shop also has all sorts of other useful skiing items and has a very helpful resource regarding tuning skis/boards at home which was very informative. All in all a fantastic customer experience and I could not recommend them more. The mitts are fantastic and I will be recommending them to my family and friends.

Did a ski maintenance course here. Can't speak highly enough. The course was detailed, hands on and we left with the knowledge and confidence to carry out maintenance and repair of our own skis. John was great. Welcoming and friendly and more than happy to impart his knowledge and expertise. Would happily recommend The Piste Office

The Piste Office was recommended to me to get some new Look bindings / Rossignol skis remounted which had not been put together properly in the factory. Jon certainly knows his stuff, the bindings were optimally remounted and various factory problems corrected. Top job, thoroughly recommended!!!

I'm very glad to have found The Piste Office. I've had Exelent results from the work Jon has done on All my skis!! some I've bought from Him some I've bought elsewhere, which has undoubtedly helped me progress with my skiing.
Setting up and positioning my bindings specifically for me.
Plus there servicing and repair is second to none.
Highly recommended.

It is extremely evident that when you talk to Jon and see how he works that he is a highly skilled and experienced technician. I have brought him various skis ranging from 156 to 211 and he has never failed to disappoint with the quality of workmanship as well as making the skis feel factory perfect with great speed and precision. He is most definitely worth the extra mileage to drive there.

Jon is without doubt the most knowledgable and approachable chap I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I imagine there is very little he doesn't know about ski equipment and tuning, binding set up etc and I really can tell the difference when my skis have been treated to a hot box waxing. I will always defer to Jon's advice and strongly recommend that others do the same. Lifetime customer here.

Great little shop that does what it does really well without trying to do too much peripheral stuff.
Jon fitted a binding for me and guided me through the process so I'd be able to do it myself next time - if I feel confident enough! Essentially doing himself out of some potential future work.
A very positive experience all round and worth the travel time!

Top service, Jon is very helpful and quick to respond to all questions and queries I had. Items were posted out very quickly. I have used his services a few times now and will continue to do so and recommend him.

I went and picked up a ski I had repaired there yesterday.
This guy really knows just about everything there is to know about skis.
This is not your normal ski shop, its a ski workshop. They don't sell clothing or boots, but they do sell everything else that the other so called ski shops don't sell, such as all the tools and bits and bobs that you need to look after skis.
They even run courses to train ski technicians, I'm going to see if I can get on one.
They do have a small range of specialist skis that really cater for the off piste and touring market. Its a bit of a trek for me to go to Nottingham to get a good ski repair or service but it's a lot handier than going to the alps. I think it was well worth the visit though and I'm sure I'll go again.
