I went into the Peterborough branch, I was looking for some supports for my shins/calfs due to suffering pain in them when doing cardio work. The young staff member Chloe was a really helpful, down to earth and knowledgeable staff member, Really friendly and provided great customer service. Wonderful service from Chloe whom did my gait analysis and found me the perfect trainers to suit my needs. Chloe was so professional and very knowledgeable about all the products and made me feel at ease for a novice when it comes to sportswear. really happy. went to buy trainers as of back issues and wanted to know best trainers to WALK slow and fast on trainers on my treadmill desk. the lady spent 20 minutes with me just answering questions and then putting me on treadmill. never ever realised as a 32 year old that I dont even walk straight! offered me three different trainers and I saw the difference on their iPad machine video thing and then now after 3 days feel differencvec immediately. WENT BACK AND BOUGHT SECOND PAIR!!! I could have got cheaper elsewhere but did it as I appreciated the knowledge they have given me now. BTW - they offer discount on loads of things once you buy your first thing.

I have been using Advance Performance for many years now. The Team are superb. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Very professional indeed. Sadly the trainers I came away with (having been gait tested) give me blisters on backs of my ankles that take weeks to heal and make wearing other foot wear uncomfortable even with plasters covering the blistered areas. Trainers exchanged and all is fine.

If you require any running gear or in my case walking trainers, this is the place. I went everywhere in town and in each town shop I was ignored and staff had no idea when I asked questions, I just wanted some good quality comfortable trainers for my walk to work each day. All I could find where " fashion shoes" which is fine but not what I was looking for. So I discovered Advance performance, from the outset I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. The young lady who was helping me really knew her stuff and listened to my foot issues and picked out several pairs for me to try and the first pair she got were spot on. The information she gave me was interesting and informative and it helped me make my choice I was thrilled to get this type of service. They only sell quality items in this shop and as well as shoes I purchased socks which are also excellent. So if you want attentive, friendly, one on one service from professional people (not the shop gossips in town) you will not be disappointed. Great shop and It will be my go to shop from now on, a pleasant experience, thank you.

This shop offers excellent levels of customer service and product knowledge. Staff were amazingly helpful in assisting us to find the right running shoes for our needs. This took time but we never felt rushed, staff were more interested in finding the right shoes for us rather than selling us the most expensive item they could. Really friendly place, they invest a lot of time in you to ensure you leave with the best trainer for your gait. No pressure to buy one type or the other, you’re left to choose after you’ve tested the runners out in the car park. Gait analysis on the treadmill was super too. Highly recommend.!

Fantastic experience at advance performance today. Went for gait analysis, they really took their time I'm giving me different trainers to try on until I found the right pair. As I turned up injured, I was also helped from the sports therapist on my injuries and given advice. Then was given even further advice about female specific saddles. I just recently found this store and had an amazing experience. It’s been a while since I’ve run and I am slowly getting back into a steady running regimen. Upon entering, I realized I was in the right place. Daniel and Tom immediately greeted me and started inquiring about my running habits and experience. They paired me with various shoes and performed a series of gait tests to see how my running gait was with respect to my shoes. I tried six different pairs of shoes and eventually chose a pair of Saucony. I felt very pleased with the entire experience and will surely return for other products and running events that they host. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area and looking for a solid running store!

Couldn't wait for these to open amid Covid-19! When the doors finally opened I was greeted with lovely customer service. No pushing you to buy things, your left to your own devices, but if you need help, someone is always happy to help. The store is fully stocked with all of your running needs. Only 4 people allowed in at a time (due to coronavirus) but that's to be expected. I believe Advanced Performance had excelled with working together to make sure their staff and customers are safe. Following a morning run where I received blisters from my trainers once again I decided It was time for a new pair. Being advised to come to advanced performance to get my gait measured first I didn't go anywhere else. Sports and soccer and JD sports have nothing on this place for professionalism, quality and choice. Claire put me in some neutral trainers and then onto the treadmill. After showing me my natural style of running she helped me try several pairs both on the treadmill and outside. All the time we were chatting about running and how to improve in order to help prevent injury and also some basic exercises to help strengthen my run. Following that she helped me with some of the fitness nutrition that I am somewhat of a novice with. Overall I cant fault the service 10/10. I will definitely be returning maybe for one of there improve performance sessions. Thanks advanced performance:)

Have purchased a few pairs of trainers from this shop over the years. Staff know their stuff, and spend a lot of time with you to make sure the shoes you try fit well and are appropriate. More pricey than buying online, but you get great customer service.

Staff were great, no rushing me, lots of time analysing the way I run and tried on loads of shoes and analysed again to see how different shoes changed my gait. Ran on the treadmill and round the car park in different shoes to make sure I chose the right ones. Normally great service and the lady that dealt with my husband was totally lovely. Not sure if the guy that served me was having an off day. Found out previous trainers were wrong size and to by fair he did apologise for that, however he lacked a bit of warmth. I have compartment syndrome at the moment and he tired telling me that the advice my physio gave me to treat it was wrong and quoted university studies of heel strike and forefoot strike. I have just completed first bit of a degree in sports science so know all about this. A bit off putting really

I have been sprinting the 100 metres for almost 12 years now and my spikes were wearing out. I like to try them on before I buy them so did not want to buy using the internet. The advice I got was first class, he explained what I needed to do to stop my spikes wearing out early. He let me try them out. He got the right sizes ready for me. He informed me of the sale items, which were not sprinting spikes but all round spikes. I really appreciate being able to "try before you buy". I appreciated all his help. First class.

She explained exactly what she was looking for in the gait analysis and persisted until we found the right ones to help support my feet in the kind of running I doing. I was a little nervous visiting a 'specialist' store, concerned that I may be sold something i did not need. The staff were excellent! I was asked questions about my running, also about my concerns re a dodgy knee. The young man was really helpful and clearly very knowledgeable. After having my giat analyse done and trying some different trainers.with his support i decided on a pair of Asics, which i am delighted with! At no time did he try to lead me towards a more expensive pair he said these ones will do the job for you:) I am a very happy customer i shall spread the word and undoubtably shop here again :)

A proper gait analysis is included, and you can expect to try several pairs so that you can compare them by actually running on the car park (or further I imagine). Of course they sell a lot of other running kit too...
