Having visited a fair few Go Outdoors throughout the UK, this is definitely one of the better ones. Staff are fairly knowledgeable, and the products are well presented (rather than just dumped on the shelves). Only negative is the queues at the tills can be quite long, and it can be a bit of a pain if I'm just popping in for a couple of items.

Wow! A super store selling everything you could possibly need to do most things outdoors. Camping, hiking, fishing etc. I went looking for a new coat. Found a lovely one in the sale and was then offered to join their club for £5 a year, this gave me an additional £30 saving on the price of the coat. There are all the big brands at competitive prices. I really wish I had discovered this place before.

I asked for advice on buying boots for a trip to Norway next month. Staff were very helpful and took time to show me options. We also talked about my new camera and taking good photos of the Northern lights. Really good experience.

After our experience at Poole store we visited with apprehension. However the whole experience was totally different. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful they all appeared busy but organised. The store is clean and well arranged. Lots of selection and shelves full unlike Poole that looked like a despatch centre full of boxes and empty shelves. Top marks Plymouth happy customers.

Can’t rate the pre and after sales service enough. Went in there looking for a tent, despite how busy it was, helped me find the perfect upgrade for our upcoming camping trips. Unfortunately things do go wrong and I was very unlucky to have been striked twice, albeit nothing todo with the store, both times down to manufacturer. Despite this the store couldn’t have been anymore helpful and welcoming in sorting out any problems during aftercare. With everyone I dealt with was a real credit to the team. All was friendly, approachable, attentive and knowledge of products was above all, very professional. A special mention to the hard working lady on the till whose name escapes me, but was wearing her arm in a sling.

Very well organized store with spacious browsing areas. Great stock and never crowded. Great deal to be had and staff are usually very helpful. Cleaning products upon entrance to the store for customers and a toilet onsite too. Always enjoy shopping here for our camping trips.

Went here today for the first time. My daughter needed new walking shoes for her upcoming holiday to the Isles of scilly, and she recommended this place. I'm so glad she did because it's a great place to shop. The lady at the checkout sorted out a discount card for me which knocked £50 off the price of my daughters shoes, how great is that!! It only cost £5 for the card and it lasts for 12 months. She was so helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend shopping here 100%. I will certainly be coming here again.

Great service on my last visit. Cashier spotted that the walking shoes I ordered may not be the right (reduced price) checked whether I had a NT card for the associated discount. Staff were helpful for product advice.

Unfortunately left without purchase, stood in queue for ten minutes as every customer had a price check because they put the wrong price on some items and then they try and sign you up to the membership card, all which takes ages, I wish they would install a self service checkout for smaller basket items. Staff are i very friendly just think there checkout procedure needs updating .

Few staff around but we knew what we wanted and found the goods we wanted. There was a choice and we didn't have to wait at the tills as they opened a new till to serve those waiting. A very useful store.

Only a small front to this store but once inside it opens right up. My 1st visit and once inside I could nearly see where everything was due to the large signs, waterproofs, fleeces, hiking etc. The boots where easy to see but the other items where smaller and harder to find. After asking a member of staff he was able to put me in the right direction and I found everything where he said it was. A small wait at the till but not long. The store was well light, very clean and the stock was all neat, tidy and labelled with sizes which were clearly visible (where needed). The walkways are wide and open with only a few tight spots maybe for wheelchair users (mainly near the walls). I will return again for my daughter's DofE needs.

Massive and plenty of stock. This large store has all you would expect from the GO branches, good deals and a large selection of quality brands. The store is easy to navigate but the staff are sparse. Once you have a staff member they are knowledgeable and helpful, they take their time and help you with a good range of ideas. A large carpark with both disabled and parent parking right out the front. Located just outside of town it's a good store

Purchased a tent from a branch in the north west of England when we tried to erect it in Cornwall the poles were missing we drove back to Plymouth branch where we received excellent service, they didn't have ours in stock being late season but they did have one almost the same and of the same value which in actual fact we prefer we were also given a discount as an apology for the inconvenience it caused us. Staff that dealt with us were a credit to this company, they were very obliging and helpful and dealt with us quickly enabling us to get on with our holiday thanks to excellent customer service.

Great selection of outdoors equipment for almost everything you could think of. Need to get the discount card (£5) to make it worthwhile though. Staff are usually friendly and helpful. Some stock has been discontinued or not in store anymore so the gerber pocket utility tool I wanted wasn't in the Plymouth store but there was a leatheman which suited my needs. Discounts available for veterans are NHS as well as those with national heritage cards I believe. Their own products are also very good. Bought one of their 20 litre day packs and id say its on par with the quality of my Osprey bag. Lots of useful straps etc and the stitching looks like it will last a long time. What more can you ask for ina £5 rucksack?

Nice staff, nice gear here but.... low stock or no stock levels, even online. Keep going here, choosing a product to find.. yes..non in stock. Staff say order online, and guess what... none in stock, no delivery available, collect in store option... and no stock. Happens often to me anyway. Good size free carpark, quality products if you can find them. Prices ok. But, look online, often cheaper on their website.

Good products, great even but loyalty scheme is a rip off. I expected my loyalty card to take the discount from the prices shown on the Stockbury no, these were the already discounted prices. When I complained I was told there is a notice in store, my question is where and how big is it? Totally misleading, will not shop there again.

Very helpful staff, great customer service from the team at Plymouth unlike the Poole branch. We brought a tent online that showed stock in at Poole but when we arrived to collect it we was told they didn't have any in stock, we asked for the showroom display tent and they said they couldn't help and didn't have enough staff to take it down and wouldn't do it at that time, however Plymouth bent over backwards to take there showroom display model down for us and have it ready the next morning for us. Every person we dealt with at Plymouth was helpful and friendly and wanted to and did provide a great service. Thank you Plymouth team.

A great selection of products to view and try for your outdoor activities. Whilst some prices may be a little high, they do offer a price-match promise which is very welcome in the age of online shopping. Well cleaned and organised on the inside, so products were easy to find and in perfect condition. I personally felt that there could have been a few more members of staff on the floor to help out where required though. Overall, an essential store for your outdoor needs!

We purchased an inflatable tent from the Plymouth store and were happy with the service we received. The next day we went just half an hour away for a couple of days camping to test the tent out. We unpacked the tent and started to inflate it but soon noticed one of the valves was missing so could not go any further. We rang the store explained our situation to Loraine the store manager, she rang back 5 mins later saying she was sending out a spare valve with a member of staff who was just finishing their shift, she arrived with the part and all was good, excellent service.

The staff are always polite and often helpful, however the store istself is untidy and disorganised. The click and collect service is.... I am sad to say... A bit of a joke. I have attempted to use it on 4 separate occasions and each time despite the item showing as in-stock online, after placing my order I have been informed it is unavailable. I fear this may be down to the aforementioned disorganisation in the store. On a plus side, they're prices are typically competitive.

Fab for purchasing big items like tents etc but all the other supplies are as expensive as elsewhere. They do an NHS discount if you bring your I'D. I believe the same goes for the services. Plymouth store: Visited soon after lockdown lifted, nice to see things in place to ensure safety. From the little safety talk on entering to sanitisation on exit. Well done to the team. I bought an inflatable tent, the airgo 8 person tunnel tent. Or as I'd call it, a two man with a bit of space. Really knowledgeable staff answered the wife's barrage of questions. They explained the warrenty process, even recommended items they'd personally used.
