To[ notch example of the Cotswold Outdoor stores…although they’re actually kind of in the middle of nowhere in Hedge End, presumably as the rent is lower here than in the middle of Southampton. The staff were very courteous and helpful and I walked away with exactly what I was after…despite not being sure of my needs when I arrived.

Good selection of outdoor wear and gear in a decent sized store that is easy to navigate and not crowded. Often good deals on, and friendly staff. Free parking available nearby. Just a shame that it's quite a distance from central Southampton.

I do love this place, got loads of great gear here. Boots, clothing, camping gear ect It does seem that over the years clothing and footwear have grown in popularity. Not a big tent display anymore, or loads of cooking kits displayed. I suppose they have to move with what sells🤔 Still,....they do sell the Kendal mint cake😉. Visiting the store is a must if you into the out doors, no matter what it is you do.

We were after walking shoes and socks yesterday (Sunday) the young man that helped us was well informed, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. The shoes we wanted were in stock and Cotswold price matched the shoes when we found them cheaper on another website. Would definitely return

Some quality kit although a lot of it is now fashionable rather than cutting edge. Customer service is very dependent on which staff member you get now. When asking about a the new Quest 4Ds one member of staff said "not sure probably lighter materials that won't last as long for more money". However a few days later I forced myself back into the shop and a young lad who had walked the Appalachian trail and obviously lived kit was amazing, knew the products and gave excellent advice.

The products available are good, but over priced. The gent on footware not 100% shore what he is doing and has favourite brands. No lift for disabled customers or push chairs. So not great for that. My partner only has one leg so not ideal.

Great outdoors shop with a nice bonus of a running section on the ground floor. Lots of outdoor clothing options, backpacks, general camping gear and a large shoe section upstairs. I’ve visited a few other Cotswolds shops, and the experience hasn’t been close to one I received when visiting this branch. When I brought some walking boots recently the assistant was very knowledgable, didn’t try and sell me the most expensive pair and took the time to make sure they were the right. More shops should be like this..

Good shop with pretty much everything you need for time outdoors. If you’re camping ⛺️ there are tents, sleeping bags, beds and all accessories. There are also bikes, climbing and fishing gear, a good selection of walking boots and outdoor clothing. There is a good sized car park too.

Bought a £400 tent 1 man tent. Asked to see it pitched so I could be shown how it worked but the person who helped me said this was not possible. I feel if you spend that much money then maybe it would be nice to have a demonstration. Anyway, product worked and performed well on the mountain

Good store, nice selection. Could be better organised (by category of clothing) but still navigable as it is (by brand). Top quality clothing, as in all Cotswold stores. Not much easy parking nearby (only 30 mins in the bays adjacent and there is only space for about 8 cars).

The gloves that were ordered from your Southampton store arrived at my home today via the Milton Keynes branch together with a compliment slip and a lovely cheery Christmas message from the team there. Just wanted to say that it was a lovely thing to do and made me feel regarded as a customer so thank you very much Milton Keynes. The staff at Southampton also dealt with the order really efficiently and went out of their way to make sure I could get what I was looking for, searching other branches for the right ones. This is a great place for buying up to date clothing footwear for any type of terrain including vertical as I always get climbing gear from hear because they have a wider range than most outdoor stores so if you want to go anywhere in the world and be prepared there will have the shoes boots clothing equipment or just the book this is my first stop : )
