Helpful and friendly staff. I bought some walking shoes on a recommendation of a member of staff. They are still going strong after nearly five months of trekking around Europe and the Egypt (and now Cornwall). Definitely good advice and will be back before my next adventure.

We can highly recommend Ashley at Cotswold Outdoors today who took time over two purchases of walking boots. Highly knowledgeable and explained which suited our feet better, which socks, inserts we needed. If you are buying walking footwear this side of Exeter do go to this store.

I went to the Truro store to try to find some walking boots. I had read lots of on line reviews and had settled on a couple of pairs that I liked. In store I tried the shoes on that I had read reviews of and they were totally unsuitable. Largely because of the shape if my feet. The sales assistant was excellent. After fitting we tried a number of pairs if boots. I bought a pair from a firm I hadn't considered. They were well priced. The sales assistant even advised me that I could take them home and wear them for longer and could take them back for a refund so long as they weren't damaged. I have now been wearing the boots for a few months and on some whole day walks. They are perfect. I have shopped at other branches of Cotswold and would shop there again.

Great experience. Staff member took so much time over choosing my walking boots, insoles and socks. He ensured they all fit me correctly. It made my 4 day walking holiday a great and comfortable experience. I normally struggle to find comfortable shoes and am prone to blisters. No blisters on the walking trip which was a first for me.

Visited here in the hope's of buying all that is needed for a camping trip. Staff were helpful. Managed to get all that we needed. Some items in store are currently on the sale and if you are National Trust members you can get 15% off non sale items. A large store with plenty of stock.

Really glad I went here to buy a new pair of walking boots recently. The service was second to none and plenty of time was taken to make sure that I had the right pair of boots for me; nothing was too much trouble. They also offered to get other models in for me to try and there was no pressure to buy on the day.

Good range of everything for the outdoors. Well located near Truro centre though parking is about five minutes away. It's generally true that you get what you pay for and the quality is good. There may be some good buys but everything I went to look for was full retail. However, they do have some brands such as Scarpa boots, you won't find in stores that only do their own brand. If you have the money you'll find good quality and, long term, that can prove good value.

I went into the Truro branch to get hiking boots for an upcoming holiday, and was very impressed by the staff's knowledge of products and the facilities in the shop. Along with getting expert advice about which kind of boots to get, sizing and how to maintain them, I was pleased to find out that the shop has 'trial' boot socks available to make sure that the fit is right, and a rocky path ramp to simulate walking on rough terrain when wearing boots.

Parking to get to Cotswold here i found slightly difficult. There is a carpark about 200 metres in front store, but you would need to arrive a:m to avoid dissapointment. The store stocks most items that you could wisf for. The staff working here were very delightful.
