D. R.Shop has moved from the Quay side to Pydar Street opposite the cathedral. Google maps was still showing old location so it took me a while to find the store. Although store didn't have what I wanted in the end, the staff were helpful.

B.The manager is incredibly knowledgeable particularly about boots and sorted me out with a refund on one unsuitable pair and directing me to a much more suitable pair, as well as advice on lacing. Just returned from a trip to Scotland where I did three Munros and numerous miles hiking - fared much better with no issues with hammer toe or sore feet.

K. W.Hawkshead is now a Regatta store in the process of moving to a smaller store in the city centre. The sale prices were attractive but l was unable to find any walking boots that weren't too narrow at the toe. It's an ok store but not a patch on the original Penrose shop in the same building a few years back
