Just made my first order from Absolute Snow yesterday. First, their selection is massive. I was able to find a pair of Vans that was in demand and hard to find on most websites, and not only that, it was at a significantly lower price. Second, I really like the speed at which the order was dispatched, and the email communications informing me of every step taken. Absolutely amazed by the delivery service I opted for the free delivery as I wasn't in a rush to get the Vans and I got an email to say they had been picked, then packed and then received by royal mail and the following day I received the shoes! I can't say how chuffed I am with these guys. I've ordered twice now, frankly because they were cheaper than anyone else and keep expecting to find out what's the catch! The goods have been in stock, as advertised, and they've arrived ahead of time on both occasions. I had emails when it's picked and sent, and tracking numbers from royal mail. My last purchase I ordered on 2 day delivery on Tuesday, but in the evening and it still came on the Thursday, and I was on the mountain by Friday. Absolute (no pun intended) result. Thanks guys.

The "Sorel Youth Joan of Arctic Kid's" boots were ordered on 16-Nov-2016 with 7 working days of estimated delivery time frame announced by the Absolute Snow" team. Within the next day or two I've got several mails in sequence order with confirmation about availability of the right size & color, packing and dispatching of the boots. On 28-Nov there were still no any news about and that makes me a bit worrying as this was the first experience with "Absolute Snow" for me. So, "having in pocket" one week of delivery delay I was almost ready to send that kind of mail which usually people sending when they get upset, bearing in mind that boots were 100% payed. The only thing, which thanks god, holds me for a while from sending that mail it is the fact of very good feedback (two ways communication) from the "Absolute Snow" team from the very beginning till now. I decide to make sure there is no any fail from my side for such "one week time of delay" and refer to the section "most frequently asked questions" on the web site where they advising to check the mail box for delivery notification from the local post by asking you neighbors or anyone who could get on your behalf. Finally we came to know that on 23-Nov (on the 6th day) it was delivered to our local post center and more over the delivery notification was just lost among the other mails on the reception of our building. Therefore it would be good to suggest the customers do not repeat my "upset fault" and to read carefully all and everything on the web site before to get an upset of anything :) At the end of the feed back, which seems to looks more close to granny worries story, it would be fair to state that the boots arrived within the estimated time frame. There were no any damages to the product noticed. The colors and "touch-quality" seems to be beyond the best expectations, it appears to be a really good product. REMARK - the feed back is provided with reference to the BUYER visual and touch quality appearance only. However the BUYER believes that the final CUSTOMER going to be dry, warm and happy about it.

Fantastic customer service! I placed a last-minute order for approach shoes, but then discovered from reviews that the shoe in question comes up small. On calling about the order, I learned that I'd also missed the official cut-off for next day delivery. Not only were they able to get the size changed, but worked with the warehouse to make sure it made that day's post and arrived in time for my trip. Without them I'd have struggled with tricky approaches and descents in soft running shoes. So glad I chose Absolute for this order!

Needed a pair of decent walking boots delivered to the Outer Hebrides ASAP. Amazon had the pair we wanted, but the earliest delivery was four days away. Tried loads of other places to look for something faster, and then found Absolute Snow - matching Amazon's price - and with the option of Royal Mail Special Delivery on Saturday pre-1pm. Great comms, tracking number clearly sent by 8pm the night before, and boots arrived on North Uist at 11am the next day, delivered to our door. Amazing range of products at great prices. Only downside is theyre totally closed at the moment, which dissapointing if you require services like boot fittings which they pride themselves for. It is annoying especially since how long its been since lockdowns etc. This means that if you order shoes in the wrong size you have to PAY to return them before getting a pair in another size. But again, great prices and a good price match service. However i sent a price match request but unfortunately theyre closed on the weekends (really?!?!?!) and so by the time they got back to me their product was out of stock.

Great price on the Snugpak sleeping bag liner (best I could find online) coupled with a really fast and free shipping service made this a pleasant experience all round. I have shopped with Absolute-Snow quite a few times over the last few years (snowboards and gears) and I can only say they are consistently great. The quick delivery is a plus but what stands out is their customer service. They always come back pretty quickly, with honest and knowledgeable answers. They sincerely try to understand your need and point of view as a customer. I like their no non-sense approach, like the fact that you actually have to pay for return. This is not a great cost, but if you expect them to provide the best service at the best price then you have to accept to pay a small fee to return unwanting goods. It is just common sense. Absolutely outstanding customer service! – that’s the short version. If you want the long version read on. I needed a new head torch and settled on one from a well-respected German brand. An internet search showed that a company called Absolute Snow were offering a very competitive price. I had never heard of them but the reviews were positive so I went ahead. The torch was despatched same day and arrived two days later as I had chosen free 2nd class delivery. The instructions were just pictograms as seems to be the fad these days – no words to make clear what you need to do. So it took a bit of studying to be sure that I knew what I was doing. But the thing broke when trying to open the battery compartment. So I filled in an online form on the Absolute Snow’s website. Late that afternoon I had a reply to say that the manufacturer refused to accept it back as it was "user error". Absolute Snow said they would issue a credit note as a goodwill gesture which followed a minute later. They also sent a manufacturer's video showing the features of the torch including how “easy” it is to open the battery compartment. Of course the method they showed was exactly what I had tried to do. The following day I chose a slightly different model – basically just different colouring and a different model number but the same design and features. Being a different colour, I thought it couldn't be from exactly the same batch as the duff one so I was sure it would be fine. So I placed an order online, applied my credit note and chose free 2nd class delivery. The total order value was the exact value of the credit note. I clicked on Pay Now and got an order number. I sensed something was not quite right though and I didn't get an email confirmation. I waited the rest of the day, but no emails to say that the order had been sent for picking, packed ready for despatch, or despatched. So the following day I phoned to check on it. It took a few minutes to get through but Dominique noticed quite quickly that the order value matched the credit note value and said – just as I suspected – that the system had thrown a wobbly. So she said she would update the status to "Paid" and it would all go through. She also noticed that I had chosen 2nd class delivery and offered to upgrade it to 1st class FOC. My new head torch arrived the next morning. To my amazement the battery compartment on the new one was just as difficult to open as the first. I didn't want to risk breaking another so I filled in a form on the Absolute Snow website asking for HELP. After two hours I had an email from Dominique to say they appreciated how fiddly the battery compartment is to open but "here is a video" of how to do it. Of course, it was the same video so no help at all. I replied back to say that I was sure that I was following the correct procedure as per the video and printed "instructions". I had a very quick response to say that she had spoken to the buyer about how to open the battery compartment and gave some advice but also asked if I could clarify what happens when I try to open it. So I sent a reply saying that the battery compartment pops open as if by magic in the video but in real life it was very different. Within 40 minutes I had a reply from Dominique “We have had a play with one of ours in stock and it ended up breaking before being able to open the battery compartment.” She was good enough to send me a photo showing the broken bits – I had to laugh. She apologised for the frustration and inconvenience and said if I returned the defective torch using their free returns process they would send a much higher specified model in return. The replacement arrived just as I was about to take the return to the Post Office. The stand-out points for me are being able to speak on the phone to a human being about a problem, having it taken seriously enough to try to replicate the problem in the warehouse, the offer of an upgrade, and the very prompt service at all times.

It started with browsing the well presented and very comprehensive website. They currently have hundreds of different goggles but their website filtering made it possible to find what I was looking for. I had specific requirements for lens tint depth and colour, interchangeable lenses and fitting over prescription glasses. Once I had found what seemed to be suitable, I used their on-line messaging feature to ask a real human for some further details and they made some measurements and sent me photos of the relevant views of the goggles with a tape measure. The website clearly describes the delivery options and costs and they kept me informed by email through the despatch process, which was very fast. The goggles were sent out on the day I placed the order, arrived the day after and were exactly as described. The company sell other products relating to hiking and climbing as well as snow sports. There was no time pressure, no pressure to purchase, a huge selection of kit, and online prices! our rep (annoyingly I can’t remember his name) was very knowledgable, genuinely passionate about the gear and there was none of the (incorrect) stigma around having to downsize climbing shoes to be uncomfortable. We narrowed the choice to two shoes one pair £73 and one £116... the rep had no bias towards the more expensive shoe and was only interested in ensuring we had the best fitting shoe. Very impressed! Recently bought a helmet and, subsequently (in a separate order), some TNF Base Camp duffels from Absolute Snow. I had queries about both orders - related to whether my goods would be the latest versions. Service attitude and care that my query was properly addressed was beyond reproach - even with multiple phone calls they made sure my enquiry was dealt with properly. At no point did I feel that they wanted to "palm me off". They offered - and made it very easy for me to combine my orders by putting the first one on "hold". This saved me money on shipping. As others have noted here - plenty of updates at every stage of processing the order. This may not appeal to some, but I personally like it - usually having put online orders off until I need them urgently... so updates about order status are great! These boots were sold out in my size at every major retailer so I was pleased but a little apprehensive to find them here at a retailer I didn't know, particularly when the price was considerably cheaper than the other shops. I read some reviews and went ahead - the reviews were right. I received constant updates to my order and the boots are great. They don't have the support I was expecting from other reviews, but the sole is cushioned and comfy. They are true to size - I initially thought they were tight as my toes touched the front but after a few minutes they settled in and fit perfectly (I'm a size 5/38). One thing to note is that after only a day, the colour from my quite worn blue jeans rubbed off on the front of the lining which can be seen when in use. Haven't worn them in the rain yet so I can't comment on the tread.
