Had a one hour SUP board lesson as a family. First time doing anything like this so we weren't sure how it would go but we all absolutely loved it! The instructor was really friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. We felt an hour was perfect, we learned all the basics and by the end of the lesson we were fairly confident standing up and manoeuvring through the water. Loved it so much we've just been and bought a SUP board! Thoroughly recommend these guys.

Me and my girlfriend had a great day learning to surf with Simon and Trina! In particular, since I had surfed a little more previously than some of the others in my group, when Simon finished the lesson he was teaching, he came and gave me a little one on one reaching out back. It was great to see how much he just enjoyed being in the water, and he gave me some great advice. Strong recommendation for AberAdventures!

Myself and my family had a brilliant time surfing with AberAdventures. Our coach was brilliant with the youngest member of our crew (7), and kept a close eye on him in the water. They were all very accommodating with childcare requirements and so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful! It's been a long time since I've been on a surfboard... almost fifteen years, but I was immediately made to feel welcome and comfortable. I had a great two hours relearning the various techniques and trying them out on the waves. Also have to mention how lovely the 'guard' dogs Sausage and Key were. : )

We hired boards from AberAdventures. They were very friendly and accommodating, communicating times and meetings points well in advance. They gave us information on safe areas to surf and hazards to watch out for and were very informative about the local area. We would highly recommend renting from them and would do so again next time we're in Aber. Thanks

What a brilliant location of Llyn Pendam for our paddle board lesson. Trina our instructor was great and looked after us with skill and plenty of enthusiasm. As novices the place and time spent getting to grips with it all was fab. Definitely recommend 😊

Had a surf lesson for my son and I. Simon was super helpful during the booking process, it was straight forward and easy to do....the instructors were positive encouraging and lovely throughout the lesson so everone was supported.....we had great fun and we even got to standing up, never thought that was possible🤣👍👍so thank you for the great instruction and making us have so much fun!!! Highly recomended we will def book again next time we are here...xxxx🤓

An amazing afternoon on the lake paddle boarding. Trina was great - she explained everything clearly and made it a fun and relaxing lesson. We also felt safe knowing Simon was watching out for us. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to have another go on the sea.

My daughter and I had our first ever surf lesson today with aber adventures absolutely amazing day very proffesional my daughter was very nervous to begin with but Katrina was very good and made her feel alot more comfortable overall it was a fantastic time highly recommend these for your lessons

People before us were late coming back but they went out of their way to run all the way down to the water to retrieve the boards and blow up an extra two. All staff extremely friendly and will 100% be using aberadventures again when we next visit.

We had a group booking of 5 on Saturday morning Simon was brilliant, spending time with us and was aware of our strengths and weaknesses. He concentrated on the nervous people in the group but then gave the more confident of us the opportunity to be a bit more adventurous. We would highly recommend Simon and AberAdventures. A massive thank you from Lisa, Carole, Cath, Lucy and Sophie for Saturday you were brilliant, We all enjoyed it so much and you were a very good teacher.

Not as good as we hoped it would be. Everyone was very friendly and gave us good instructions while we practised our surfing on the sand. But once in the water we were left on our own, with a 'come and talk to us if you need any help' and the two instructors stood chatting and watching us. I expected them to be much more hands on, looking at each person individually and giving tips to help us with our surfing. There was a little of this, but not much.

A huge thank you to Simon and his lovely instructors for being incredible today for my son’s first ever surf lesson. He had great teaching and is already excited about his next lesson. Thank you so much!!

I book a surf session for my mate and I, who was visiting Wales from London. We've previously only surfed once before, hence we were total beginners. On the day of the lesson, Simon and Rhys received us at the scheduled time at the surf location in Borth. The whole process was very smooth and quick, Simon was very helpful with the booking process and helped us choose a good day to surf. The surf was incredible, we got lucky with some good waves on the day. In addition, there was a good mix of practical advice on technique before we went in the water and having Rhys around to give tips on the go was really helpful too. Simon and his surf van had practically all the equipment one could need to have a great surf session in any condition for smaller and larger groups. The quality of the boards and wetsuits was also top notch. There was a good balance of theoretical instructions, but not too much that ate into time in water. It was also reassuring to see the emphasis on health and safety, which was thorough and ensured we had the peace of mind and fully enjoy the session. Overall, we are very happy that we decided to go ahead with AberAdventures, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to surf on the mid-wales coast!

I loved my private surf lesson with AberAdventures! My instructor Rhys was super friendly and fun and made me feel really safe. If you are a beginner or have never surfed, I really recommend you go with AberAdventures. Also, communication before the class (to request information and book the lesson) was swift, friendly and efficient.

Had a beginner surf lesson with my two kids (10 and 11 years old). Both instructors were knowledgeable, experienced, and knew how to keep it fun. They were helpful throughout the 2 hour lesson giving help to everyone. Great afternoon and would use them again.

It's a great location to S U P but and it's a BIG BUT it operates out of a van on the beach ⛱️ There are no changing facilities except some rather tired public loos. And of all the board's we have hired around Wales this 6 week holiday these are by far the smallest ones. Two of our party are 85 Kg + the board's just bent on the swells , this has not happened with any others.

This is the 3rd year of my 10 year old daughter having surf lessons while we are on holiday in Borth and she has loved every minute. It has always been the highlight of her holiday.
