We went for an evening open water swim last night. The staff were so very helpful and friendly. The surroundings were stunning and the water was amazing. It was the perfect way to end the day and we topped it off by a drink in the patio bar whilst watching the wakeboarding. One of my favourite places to swim.

Great fun for children and adults of all ages. You have to be fit and need to be able to swim. You can hire the wet suits which is great for the kids. Nice area to sit and watch what is going on around you. Also I have been told you can swim in the lake for £5 which I think I might try in the warm weather.

I just wana say the session was amazing and the staff ware so nice at the end of my session we needed help getting home because we walked all the way there and the staff came up to us to help us get home a salute star so nice I would recammend!

Great fun went paddle boarding, my only disappointing part was open water swimmers in same area . My daughter is just learning paddle boarding she had to go back to the start as her oar had been lost and a swimmer started shouting at her. I don't think the paddle boarders should have to cross the swimming lane to get in and out

Use to be a regular at Wake MK, went here for boarding, and the difference in all aspects is shocking. So much better of an experience. Only reason not 5 star is showers are not working.

Had a fantastic time at the park, the ski / wake facilities are fantastic, as are the staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. Only criticism is the standard of shower / toilet facilities in the caravan area and the lack of electrical hookups.

Great fun you do have to be fit though! Staff/lifeguards on the aqua park were absolutely great, however from admission onwards you were expected to know where to go and no one gave you any information so we had to ask where to go next.maybe less time chatting and mucking about and more time focusing on the customers guys

Wonderful experience for the whole family. The Aqua Park is great fun, very clean and welcoming. There are many life guards on board ready to help and guide you through the obstacle course. Wetsuits are avaibale to hire for a very low fee. Lockers and on site parking is also available. Very nice restaurant and bar with a great selection of drinks of food.

Spent the day by the lake on the hottest day of the year. The facilities are excellent, with a reasonable entrance cost. Ideal for a picnic. The lake is beautiful for swimming, really clean. It is worth noting though it is a lake, it is very rocky along the shoreline and therefore beach shoes can help with this.

Had lots of fun. The staff does consist mostly of teenagers nether the less they were all polite and did a great job. There's a burger van type thing there too which is much needed after the exhausting fun of the course. We will defo be back

I've been here for the open water swim sessions which is very well run. The facilities are very good with changing rooms and lockers to put valuables in. There is a small cafe too which does bacon rolls, coffee etc which is all very nice. It looks like a great place to bring kids of they are confident in the water.

I go here to swim in the summer. I love it here - very relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. Only problem is that the showers have, on occasion, been cold (horrible after an open water swim!), And sometimes the weeds grow up too much and get tangled around your legs!

This is an excellent park, family owned. The park has excellent parking facilities (as well as for caravans). It hosts water events practically every weeks, from water skiing right through to knockout style events. There is a family function room upstairs which overlooks the water and from which weddings through to conferences can be held. There is an excellent restaurant and bar downstairs where the food is excellent. The drinks at the bar can be consumed outside as well as indoors. All in all a well run facility perfect for a family day out or even just lunch in the restaurant. Well recommended.

Went paddle boarding here. It was my first time and a great place to start. The only downside was trying to avoid the swimmers. Would be better if we were given a different part of the lake or the swimmers as to avoid any accidents

Had a taster session on the cable tow kneeboards really good fun. All staff are very friendly. The two guys on the dock were very encouraging and helpful. All round great afternoon 👍

What a fantastic place to hold a training course. The staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout. Excellent lunches of sandwiches, chips and cakes plus fruit and drinks. Ready supply of coffee and biscuits throughout the day too. They were cleaning the room tables and refreshing the water morning and lunchtimes. Plenty of flipcharts to use and materials. Great views of the water skiers too which I thought would be a distraction but added some humour to the day when people fell off with a big splash. Couldn't ask for more and would definitely use this place for a course again.

Awesome! Was part of a large group that hired the water park inflatable area. We had such a good time. The facilities were great and the staff were all really good, particularly the lifeguards who man the event very enjoyable.

My granddaughter went for her birthday with a friend. Had a great time even though it wasn't good weather. The inflatable was close to the edge and the lifeguards helpful to pull you up back into inflatable. The only downside was that the wetsuit were soaking wet when you put them on. Would definitely go again.

I popped in to see about open water swimming and was very impressed by the facilities and at how knowledgeable and helpful the reception staff were. Very friendly welcome and nicely environmentally aware, pointing me to the excellent website rather than furnishing me with a brochure that would be destined for the bin!

Awesome day. Even though it rained the fun we had will be a well kept memory. From our arrival we were shown a humorous safety video. We were then directed to where we could get our wetsuits and boiance. The changing room isn't ventilated and it's quite cramped for the amount of people aloud in at once, but hayho... Fortunately for us, the water was so nice and warm. The boiance we had on kept us afloat so even the weakest swimmers felt like a pro! They have plenty of life guards around the obstacles and in the water and they were very vigilant so I alway felt safe. The obstacles are immensely fun and well worth an hour of total crazy fun! Highly recommended activity.

Went with a group of 4 adults in September, had a fantastic time. The changing rooms were a tad disappointing. Hire a wet suit if you don't have one, it makes a huge difference when the water temperature is cold!

Been coming here for a year now and can only say good things about the facilities, management and staff. Every time I come and bring more friends, everyone always comes back. Wakeboarding is plenty of fun and the guys on the dock are super friendly and helpful, no matter what your ability. Great social scene too!

Visited the aqua park, it was really good fun and there were all ages involved! Although they had run out of wetsuits it was warm enough without. I thought the changing rooms could have been slightly cleaner, although they'd left the floor wipe so you could clean it yourself.

If you love water sports you will love box end. The outdoor swimmers in particular are extremely friendly and welcoming to newbies. The changing rooms are a little grubby. But that's to be expected as it's mostly lake mud.

Couple of great days out here that everyone enjoyed once on the wake boards and once on the Aqua Park. We will be back to wake board in the future but I think once is fun for the Aqua Park but no strong urge to repeat it after that.

Open water swimming at Box End is epic, if you like the cold. If you haven't before then expect to get caught up in pobd weed from time to time. Wear a wetsuit at least a during April and May. By the summer a rash vest or long sleeved costume will be more than adequate. It is £5 to swim and you need to be able to swim 800m with confidence.

Never tried wakeboarding before and was recommended box end park by a friend living in Bedford nearby. After a quick briefing was given rental gear and plenty of help by the guys operating the cable. Very friendly and great fun to get out London for the day!

The staff could not have been more attentive, and from start to finish nothing was too much for them, we had wonderful food served with style, great wine, and bar staff that by the end of the evening had joined us on the dance floor. I want to thank Adrian, and his excellent team for a truly memorable day, and if you want a personal recommendation then take it from me this is a place you will not regret booking.
