C. K.Haven’t used for the gym here, only use the pool for ‘Swim for Fitness’.
Not the best having most evening swim sessions in the smaller diving pool but it allows sports clubs and families to use the main pool. Annoying that the lockers use coins rather than padlocks but not to bad so long as you remember to bring coins.
Good facilities and not to badly priced. Pool showers are hot with good water pressure. Good standard of cleaning and well staffed.
Worth the visit.
c. m.The best of Better! Amazing swimming pool, swim at your own pace and you don’t annoy anyone because the lanes are lovely and wide.
After swimming 80 lengths in 50 mins I deserved a treat from the coffee shop with its insane homemade cakes! £3 with free coffee! 😍
M. M. C.Lovely leisure centre, handy as it's just around the corner from me. Anytime I've been the staff are always very helpful and nice. I mainly use it for the swimming pool facilities, the changing rooms are spotless and the pool seems to be clean too. One of the best leisure centres I've been to. Really well laid out during covid pandemic, straightforward and efficient.

R. 5.When swimming there for the first time in years the staff are very pleasant and helpful especially the reception staff member. Changing facility's are very modern. Pool was great.
S.Great facilities. Didn't appreciate staff putting bleach and scalding water down at 10pm when people were still in the changing rooms. Felt very rushed and unwelcome.

I. M.A nice looking gym that looks clean and tidy. Not many machines, too many people at all times even when u have to book previously every single day. There are 2 machines out of service since at least one month and looks like they won’t fix them. At least they have parking. I give 4 stars cause is a good value for the price: £35/month indoor swimming pool included.
N. M. (. M. B.Transferred here when Avoniel closed. The facilities are terrific. I use the gym which has a wide range of equipment - I hardly use any of it! There is a one way system, hand sanitiser, antiseptics sprays and social distancing of equipment so they are clearly safety conscious. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a wide range of classes. The app is handy for making bookings. And compared with other gyms, great value for money, particularly for seniors.

M. B.🏊 🏋️ 🚴 Good start after a long wait. Equipment very much up-to-date and layout /decor easy on the eye. Staff currently pleasant, lets hope it stays that way. Worth a visit now whilst equipment still effectively works . AND for the people whom gripe about queues, wise up! Many visitors are going for a nosey and will fizzle out. All round quality service.

M. P.No complaints at all. First swim since it opened. First use of the App ( which is a bit clunky, but that's not the centre's fault) but seamlessly booked and admitted. Very helpful attendant at the gate showed me how to scan in. Plenty of room in the pool and no distancing issues on the deck.

K. P.Mixed changing rooms are fantastic solution for families! Place is modern, clean, good temp and depth (0.92m) of water in the teaching pool which allowed me to take the kids 4 and 6 on my own. They both loved it!
Negative:
Staff have not been very pleasant or helpful on 2 occasions - I understand they get asked a lot o things over and over again but they need to understand why people are asking and simply smile and and be inviting. 4 members of staff I was talking at the reception sadly were not.

P. S. 7.This is a much needed and overdue leisure centre. I was delighted to see it reopen after several years of it being closed.
I am a member of this centre and it’s great. Clean, modern and everything is easy to access. The gym is great, the pool is great and the facilities are clean. The pool is also a great size and its always roped off for serious swimmers.
It’s a fantastic place, however it does have a few minor, but rather irritating issues. For a start, the reception staff, are not the most friendly of people. I’ve had a few occasions were they weren’t all that willing to help. Secondly, there is the method of how you pay for your swim with cash. The reception do not keep cash at the desk. This means if you’re a customer paying with cash, you have to pay at the cafe. This really baffles me. I don’t understand why you would pay for a swim at the cafe. What happens if you arrive to swim, and the cafe is closed? ( Which I noticed a couple of times ). I am aware it is not fully opening until January 2020, but no one has made that clear as the reasoning for the cashless reception desk.
I can only imagine the queues this will cause at busy periods such as the summer time.
But on the whole, it’s a very good centre.

C. S.Lucky enough to be around the corner for me. £21 membership for a student which isn’t too bad as I can use the classes, pool and gym.
Problem I have is the layout. The gym is well fitted with equipment but it’s so small compared to other gyms. I would avoid going in the evening as this seems to be the busiest time.
The pool is another issue. They close lanes off and have excuses when you want to use the lanes and seem to have no problem at the desk but when you get in everyone is nearly swimming over each other. No sauna is available too and millions was put in to build this?
They disadvantaged closing the avoniel centre. I hope that this will be improved but I would rather go to connswater or Belfast if using the gym.
If you are local, I would walk or cycle instead of driving. It’s not the centre’s fault as businesses use it to park around the area. I see people complaining about it but there’s nothing the centre can do.
T. P.Great facility! Only issue is that it's too full, the classes get full quickly and the lanes are almost always shared between 3 people.
L. L.Well its a real improvement on the Robinson centre. As a Senior Resident my membership was only £22.10 per month, great!! Gym is spacious and very well equipped with the latest running, rowing, cross training, step machines...which have Bluetooth radio, you can watch you tube on the screens or just enjoy the views of Belfast from the HUGE windows. There are lots of weight machines too, as well as free weights and kettle bells etc They have a area for stretching & working out that has thick matting, drinking water and a weighing scale. The gym is also air conditioning so its nice and cool. Changing rooms are a bit warm but its nice after a shower. There are Sofa's and tables with chairs in the Cafe area at Reception. (I don't think the cafe is open and other Small finishing touches are still in progress I assume.)
l. t.The overall place is really clean and well layout the gym has multiple machines for multiple workouts for after Christmas!! There is also a cafe with kid drinks,coffee,toasties and much more. There's swimming lessons for kids of all age. I hope more people come to this fun-filled place.
S. L.In response to the owner. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star was due to adult swim and swim times getting mixed up. Your staff and facilities are amazing. I suffer from PTSD,depression and anxiety and being in the pool knowing your fantastic staff are there looking out for me, allows me to be able to relax. So a big thank you to the lifeguards and reception
F. T.Great leisure facility. The centre is clean and well kept. There is a cafe on the ground floor with comfortable seating. Refreshments are reasonably priced. The only down side is that parking is limited and when forced to park on the main road, there isn’t a safe path to take you to the main entrance.

S. M.My new gym. Have most equipment you need. They are missing some key things like a caff machine but you work around it with other machine to isolate them. Have so much cardio equipment. They are always busy. Clean friendly.
