The Oval is a huge part of East Belfasts heritage. As the home Glentoran football club, it's a landmark for it's thousands of most loyal fans. That said, it's in serious need of an upgrade to the stands and toilets etc etc.

Classic football stadium with curved terrace behind the goals. Good friendly bar for home fans and ground hoppers. No 1 spot for football tourists in Europe.

The only place in Belfast that serves decent turkey hot dogs, at half time the chip van boils up a big batch turkey mince hot dogs, known locally as "sliders" on account of their slippery texture

Severe lack of bathroom facilities for the away fans, especially when there's a huge crowd and to have them only at one end, especially if your in the seated area. Other than that it's an OK ground,

A special feature, being very close to the city center airport, the planes fly over the stadium a few meters high during the match!
