Reviews of Birmingham City Football Club
Argyle on tour!! 3rd round of the FA cup and 3k fans have decended on St Andrews. Good looking stadium but looking old and in need of some TLC!! And it doesn't help when the home fans don't turn up to support their team. The executive boxes have a strange looking roof over them.....almost like galvanised...very old fashioned. Infrastructure was good though...concourses clear good food outlets with passable queues....all very well organised but the covid pass checks were a complete joke. All the lower tiers apart from the away fans was cordoned off and didn't add to the overall ambience. They also played like a Championship club in trouble. Ah well. We won and out sang them from beginning to end.
Had a fabulous afternoon at the blues on Saturday, with my family. Shame the result wasn't better for us.
Great service from the people in the club shop and despite being in the older main stand, the facilities were fine.
Excellent idea by the club to have 'street food' vendors outside the ground too. No matter the performance on the pitch, at least the food will be tasty!
Been going here for years as a season ticket holder.
The approach to the area by the players entrance is poor, rubbish around and everything needing to be brightened up.
There has been only a slight improvement in catering lately a couple of weeks ago there was very little available.
The whole thing helps to create a sombre atmosphere which goes along with the general mood of the fans who despite all of this try to remain positive but it is getting more and more diffi cult to do so.
Ive been here a couple off times now 3 sides off the ground look quite smart if the club at some point decide to develop the main stand it will make for an impressive stadium .An interesting fact the club was formed in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance. The club's first pitch was across the road from St Andrews in Arthur Street
Amazing evening at Birmingham City club
Good but not brilliant stadium. I only visited once
Let's get this place repaired and get all the fans back in. Really disappointed to miss the Stoke game especially because I've got a season ticket and still can't go. Come on Blues board. Let's get this mess sorted out !!
Come on The Blues !!!
KRO 💙 💙 💙
Good value drinks and food. Uncomftable small chairs
Visiting the home of the bestest, greatest team in English football is something, beware though, their is a team impostering a Birmingham club called the Vile, they play in Witton Birmingham avoid at all costs, unless triple jabbed for scabies! Thank me later 👍
An old football ground. Came for an away game following Fulham. It was nice to see welcome posters up.
At the end of the match there was a pitch invasion from the Birmingham supporters, they escaped relegation. As it turned out, they didn’t need the points anyway as other results went their way.
Anyway... despite being advised to wear hard hats and expect bricks through the windows of our coach, I found the Birmingham lot actually friendly and the pitch invasion was peaceful and they came over and applauded us Fulham supporters. Strange moment, one I’ll remember.
Visited Birmingham City Football Club with Fulham. It was a full house of 28000.. 3300 from Fulham so the atmosphere was electric. The Stadium is cracking. The noise from the Birmingham fans was incredible. The only thing that let the place down was the massive queues for food and beers. That was a nightmare. The stewards were excellent.. helpful and friendly. Birmingham's fans were a credit to their club and i wish them well for the future.
5 star for the blues but 1 star for having no food at half time queued for 30 mins missed 10 mins of the second half not impressed at all get it sorted management.
Fantastic day out at St Andrews.
What can I say, if you are a life long Birmingham City fan it's like going home for the first time in years. Took the grandson for the first time also, he loved it plus the trip from Cornwall.
Best fans in the world !
Decent stadium.... PAFC 💚💚
Good ground. Match was a draw. 2.2 ☹. Morrisons was near for a fill up on a full English. 👍
Always a good place for me but disappointed that someone stole the Peaky Blinders scarfs of our seats should have been handed as you entered the ground
Could be good if owners got their act together. Much safer then years gone by. Old main stand needs update but still a traditional football ground
Always friendly crowd (although hostile to opponent players) and a good day out. Recommend going!
Half the seats are empty , very odd.
Not bad for a very old ground.
A the time of visit the stadium had two sides of the ground closed due to underlying problems, does have a good atmosphere when things are going well, but at the moment it is looking a bit tired.
Would have been better had we of won
Great place full. Of proper brummies xx
Had a great time here and everyone at the club were wonderful.
Last time i was at the blues the leyland daf cup was going! What can I say except one has to support ones home team🤗bless um.❣
Have to say the hospitality and food is fantastic
Good view for the away fans and plenty of room in the food area unlike many EFL clubs.
The best. Kro.
Its a great place to watch and follow Birmingham city fc and Great atmosphere there at the ground too 😀😀👍👍⚽️⚽️⚽️ great Support with all the blues fans too 😀😀😀
Good atmosphere, bit dingy though, plenty of area's to park and food outlets nearby
No draught beer. Pies expensive and taste awful.
You the best ever thanx for having us on match day xx cheers 🥂 all
Visited for a Coventry game as an away fan.
Decent stadium for an away fan. Good view from the stand behind the goal.
The stewards have always been a bit over zealous here. Although bottles are on the 'not allowed' list, it's unusual to not be allowed in these days with a plastic bottle of water. The only reason I can think they don't allow it here is because of alcohol perhaps. Otherwise, if it's in case you try and throw it at the home fans then if you could throw that far you should be training for the Olympics, not watching football as the home fans are quite a distance from the away fans. There also seems to be far too many stewards for the size of the crowd.
Getting from Birmingham New Street to the stadium costs about £5 but it cost twice that on the way back. Traffic was horrendous so don't hang about after the gameif your train is going before 6pm.
Visited the conference facilities which are quite good. Not so keen on the pat down from security on arrival with the metal detector, but I guess it's to keep us all safe. Food was excellent.
Ive been to the jasper caret suit a couple of times and had a great experience. The food is good. The seating for both the meal and the game are favourable. The staff from the management down to the waitress are very attentive. All-round good day out (especially if the blues win)
Fabulous shop.. Uncluttered, and quality products.
Another stadium that's been completely rebuilt since I first visited to watch the Blades away fans are in the Gil Merrick stand behind the goal decent view and facilities but why this stand is split between home and away fans is strange there is always empty seats in home sections of the ground so they could give clubs with large followings the whole stand the stadium is decent but the garrison lane stand let's it down the atmosphere is mostly from the away fans bit of a walk from the train station but be careful some Birmingham fans have a bit of a bad reputation there's plenty of decent pubs in the city centre and a few along the way
Just Beautiful...
KEEP RIGHT ON!
Recently visited as travelling Bristol rovers fan for game against Coventry , parked on street 2 minutes walk from ground ( prob not that easy with bigger attendance) good boozer called the cricketers 5 min from ground , prem standard ground really .
Great day apart from my teams shocking showing , def go again
Biggish stadium, three modern sides, presumably the fourth, a bit older, was the original main stand. Very quiet home crowd which was at odds with what we were expecting. As I approached the entrance a whole row of grim faced stewards faced me. None looked as though they really enjoyed their work or even actually interacting with people. I endured the usual frisking despite no words being exchanged let alone a polite enquiry as to whether I minded a stranger rummaging in my pockets and in my trouser region. Usual facilities inside including the usual over priced hot drinks and beer in a plastic cup. Toilets were fine. No TV screen on the walls. Stewarding inside was ok but with a constant feel of anticipating something to kick off. It didn't. Happy with a draw. Happy also to get back to New Street Station. Now that is very nice.
Always a drama at St Andrews. On or off the pitch.
I'm a big BCFC fan so I love the place.
Yes, I guess that makes me biased but we've got a great fan base, fabulous stewards & match day attendants, a team of players that give their all every game and a manager in Garry Monk along with his staff that have brought a renewed sense of pride back to St Andrews.
KRO.
Easy to reach and easy to get tickets. Good atmosphere.
love this place home of the mighty blues
Nice place, the staff are nice, albeit rather slow sometimes. They offer pre-match offers and if you are a season ticket holder you can get discounts and collect points for discounts for the shop and special cup games. I enjoy it there.
Fortress Birmingham the place where dreams come true ... KRO
Great club ground and supporters
Its not the best ground I've been at but not the worst, annoying a steward told us to getrid of a plastic bottle, either neck it or chuck it,we threw it only for another steward to say you could have putit on your coach...asked for alatte, got a warm cup of weak barley milk there coffee
I've been coming here since 1967 and obviously it's a much improved from those early days. I have difficulty in saying anything bad about the place because it's the club I support. This season it's been a bit annoying with young fans being allowed to stand up and viewing becomes restricted, which again I don't like to complain but at 61, constantly having to stand up does give me back ache.
It stop me coming though because it's my passion. One bad thing is it costs £2 for a small portion of chips but again I suppose it's the same at all sporting events.
Place is falling down awful owners
Home of Birmingham city football club. Love it there. Sell food ,pies burgers and hotdogs. Also have bar that services drinks before and at half time . Great atmosphere.. if u love the blues well worth visiting .
Loved it great to be back kro sotv
What can I say, I'm always going to give it 5-stars! I'm a lifelong Blues fan.
The only criticism I would level at the ground/facilities/services is the food, it’s not great along with the surly, near none existent attention to customer service. This club and most others really exploit the fans and their loyalties in this regard, you just have to put up with it!
Nice design and layout, would be better if the team won games more often. You don't really get disappointed when the Birmingham City Football Team (btfc) loses because it happens so often. Can't really remember when they one the top of the leader board. The gournd are quite safe being secure by K2 security. There tends to be 2 food trucks outside, allowing you to get some food for a good price when compared to the over priced food they allow you to get inside the grounds. There is always a burger and sausage food truck and then usually and confectionary food truck. The food truck contain the fast food doesn't seem to supply HMC certified food so the Jewish and Muslims fan should stay well away.
it was my first time i been it was fantastic I had a great day I am 72 years old I have always won't to go I went with my sister who is 82 year-old I thought the grand was great and I did in enjoy the game can not want to go again
Went to the Blues vs Stoke match on Boxing Day. Great mach, enjoyable company, good stadium. Will go to more matches in the future.
Best team in the midlands kro
Really helpful staff, was with a less tabled bodied friend, who needs some assistance, wasn't a problem at all, and they were not made to feel awkward at all, which can happen sometimes, plenty of staff at the bar at half time! Facilities were clean
Decent enough ground etc.
Loved watching the game
First class hospitality. Food is amazing. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. You can tell they love working at the Blues
The worst sign posted ground in the country, if your an away supporter be prepared to guess your way to finding were your turnstiles are, I think it's a little joke the thick brummies play between themselves. Apart from that great away day beautiful city.
Nice and calm atmosphere
Fantastic hosts for Coventry City whilst we are in exile. Amazing surface to play on, great atmosphere and great prices at the kiosks in the ground.
Great tour, very interesting facts, I have supported Blues for 60 years and found out quite a lot I didn't know, 10 out of 10
Top class security on the away side very helpful and ask loads of questions during the search makes it a less awkward job and less intimidating to walk up to a line of security but we'll done ladies and gents for the work that you do
Great atmosphere Blues v Fulham, a welcome for the away fans second to none. Good luck in the playoff final Fulham, against Aston Villa
Been here a few times as a courier for Parcel i ltd
Reception staff are always polite & helpful
Not much can be said for the security staff they are very rude & aggressive
Gerard Baron asks the question:
What is that rancid smell?
Answer:
Mr Gerard Baron! It must be all that rancid sh-te coming out of your mouth!
Oh yeah, if it so horrible lets hope you don't turn up to see us trash Villa next season! Welcome to the Championship!
KRO
Loved it!!! Espcially when the home fans spat an my family an me. An rattling those big metal gates trying g to get at us 🤣🤣🤣
Best place to be fans are amazing
Best place to be fans are amazing
Exiled from the city, I regularly return to the one single link that remains with my youth and childhood.
As Harvey Andrews once sang.....Come wind, rain, sleet or snow family tradition says I have to go.
For all you native Brummies.......Treasure it!
Blues home ground not far from city centre best to get off New Street or Moor Street Sation and walk it's 20 min walk taxi or black cab will charge you fortune and from Bull Ring it's just straight road if you are travelling by car donot park near the ground because you will be stuck for long time
Lovely warm welcome, and very well organised hospitality for a large number of guests.
The best team In the world up the blues
Sunday 20 May 2018 Birmingham city Ladies v Reading women 12:30 you 17 Kingsbury road Birmingham B24 8QG Sunday 10 June 2018 Michael Teasdale football club Birmingham city ST Andrews
Disappointed only 1 snack bar open at 1/2 time. For a club short of money you can't buy anything
Well known location. Plenty of parking. Good place for conferences of all sizes. Good food.
Great facilities. We went to the match with a child and a pushchair. The service and staff were all great
Best club in the Midlands. KRO
Staff at ground were helpful and looked after you. Good veiw ofvthe game and easy access in and out. Shame that the area is looking run down.
Always friendly service and happy staff. Thanks !
Best stadium ever! Big space, great atmosphere at games! And of course at great team which makes it worth while to visit!
Decent day out
Good ground! Friendly staff and stewards
Best club in the Midlands, season tickets working out at £13 a match get yours before the ground is sold out
Just the place to go when you feel real happy to make you feel really down. All done in 90 mins with a 15 min break.
Why not stop the following from posting on this site?
i) Cretinous villa supporters who appear to be obsessed with a poisonous hatred of BCFC to the extent that they can't live properly?
ii) Ignorant racist low-life who have come on the site to talk about the so-called "smell of 'gyppos' "?
The BEST football stadium ever. You must do the tour. An amazing history.

Outstanding hospitality & customer services, possessing enthusiastic & more sophisticated staff aspiring to deliver top class services to their customers.
I love this stadium but it seriously needs to be refreshed and renovated. It smells funny and let's just not talk about the facilities...

Cos my mum gets so happy when we go there cos her granddad worked there
Deafening home fans on their day. Excellent seating allocation for away fans.
Exactly what you'd expect from a football ground in the lower leagues-pint and pie, sometimes the traffic is a bit of a nightmare though!
