Considering I only started the 7 day trial for the gym, first impression is OK. Lady at the counter was very helpful with the advices and even helped me with the locker because I had no spare change. What I didn't like too much is the air conditioning within. I understand that due to Covid it should be like that but for me that has sinusitis it's not very ok. I mean I sweat a lot and when all that cold conditioning hits my head it can cause me bad headaches. I hope this will be taken into consideration. Otherwise not too shabby 😊

Heated floors in changing rooms sooo nice, they have an inflatable zone in the pool on a weekend, bit expensive but such fun. Been again today, floor no longer heated, but it was a free day so had a splash session with the girls, staff still good so not gonna take the star off for the floor.

Instructors are really good and the new covid measures are fantastic...wish they keep these measures post covid as very clean, not overcrowded and well managed. The only downside is the parking facilities.

The swimming pool is clean and the timings are good for my usual daily swim and my little lad loves the family time sessions. The sauna and hot room are excellent too! The entrance is wheelchair accessible. The pool itself has a machine to help lower people into the pool. The facilities are excellent. My only complaint is that I wish there was some way of policing people who wear shoes through the changing area. Shoes should come off!

Great new leisure centre with good quality facilities. Classes are welcoming, gym is empty in the day time. Swim timetables are accurate allowing you to plan your day. Overall very clean. Some facilities could do with upgrading. Many of the locker wristbands have gone brittle and broken. Looks like you have to pay for the hairdryer but i have no idea what amount has it is just a coin slot with no labelling, and a simple spin swimming costume dryer would be very beneficial also.

A nice puddle free swimming facility but I agree with others who say they should keep on lane open for people like me who visit for some serious swimming exercise and don’t visit purely to shout and lark about. Too much room allocated to lessons, why not use the junior pool for this? Sauna and steam room were great. Not too hot or overpowering but can somebody put up a sign saying ‘morbidly obese old men with an excess of back hair not allowed’?? Not pleasant to watch them sweat. Sorry.

My son loves the staff here the manager is amazing and very friendly. I think she knows everyone's name. My son progresses really well in his swimming lessons, it's clean compared to others and the price is very reasonable.

Fantastic place with all the facilities under one roof. I have been using the old place for many years but this new leisure centre is much better, clean and tidy with lots of facilities. I mainly use swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms but will be using the gym soon too as I already had the induction by one of the gym instructor. One little thing to ask for, more chairs for sauna and steam users please.

Not had chance to use any of the facilities there yet. From being shown round it looks like somewhere I would come to. It is so new and clean and spacious. I will definitely review again when I have used the pool, gym, steam & sauna rooms and attended a couple of the classes there. All I can say for now.

Visit this location on a weekly basis with school children and this building is far nicer than the old one. The changing areas and swimming pools are clean and kept to a good standard which I hope to see continue. Please note that to keep the area as clean as possible overshoes must be worn when entering the swimming pool changing area.

Car park is small and never get space there. However they are far to pricey then any other gyms. Yet its Birmingham city council leisure centre meaning it should be reasonably priced. They only have 2 swimming pools 1 is a good size and the other is not so big. Ladies only swimming session runs on Wednesday night from 8.30 for an hour which is quite late.

Parking is available for about 20 cars, so far I have not been lucky enough to be apart of the top 20. Although alternative parking isn't too far, The leisure centre was well presented I believe to minimise dirt the blue shoe covers should be mandatory and supervised. Other then that it went well it's £1 for the lockers (refundable) lanes were available as well as a roped off area for free play.

Friendly helpful staff, leisure centre is spotlessly clean and constantly see staff checking areas ensuring its clean. Good selection of classes. Only Downside is the parking, car park is small and due to location its difficult to park roadside however there are a few pay and display car parks close by and road parking if you don't mind walking the rest of the distance. Don't let the parking issue put you off as it is a great facility.

Changing area should be cleaned more often during the day. Lot of different classes are offered. App is quite handy. You can book classes using app. Variety of gym equipments. Well maintained pool. Sauna steam are always crowded. Ppl with no access for sauna and steam makes their way some how for sauna and steam which should be controlled. Major parking issue. Reception staff are least passionate about their role.

Nice, new equipment but very small and gets really busy at after work/school times with little equipment to use. Pool is nice but the swimming lanes are not enforced and swimming in every direction and kids not swimming at all. Again, very busy school and work hours

It's WAY better than it's predecessor with loads of up to date kit in the gym and fabulous pool area and I got a great Early Bird membership deal. Theres a sauna and steam room too although Ive not tried them out yet. However, there's only one Studio so getting into some classes is impossible. I enjoy Spin but I never get to join a class and have to go to a different gym for this. Car parking is terrible with space for about 10 cars which has a knock on effect on local residents.

phone lines that seem non existent and been getting worse recently and cut out after so many rings. queue When recently attended Centre for a minor query, which went answered as had to walk away due to transport arriving. This is unsatisfactory and i have a learning disability and have recently signed up to a scheme there, especially as this is a new leisure centre. I understand this may only occur sometimes but it needs improving hence my 3 star based on recent experience Other than that the Centre is nice, pleasant staff and I hope to see more sessions in poor catering for adults as opposed to swimming clubs where your unable to use. It would nice to see more hour flexibility for those on fitness on prescription as with local transport punctuality and people’s medical situations, more flexibility is welcome. Edit called 23/8/18 and spoke with Emma who I found satisfactory.

The Erdington Leisure Centre is indeed a busy place, every time I entered. The staff however are friendly enough too. The gym consists of cardio equipment such as cross trainers and treadmills, all having access to internet media such as Netflix and YouTube, so you can catch up on videos whilst burning a few calories ( always be cautious on the speed, intensity of your level of medical and physical health before using these pieces of equipment. The weight area is a bit smaller compared to other gyms, however it is accessible and caters for what you wish to train. The swimming pool changing rooms are hygienic. All one pound coin operate ( use a genuine £1 coin, as trolley tokens do not guarantee to work ) the changing facilities are spacious and some closed off for a private space. The swimming pool area consists of two pools. A small shallow pool for swimming beginners, babies and small children. The large pool is usually separated in to; free paddling area for all, a slow lane for the casual swimmer and the fast lane for competitive and high intensity swimming. I believe the price per month for all access swimming and gym combined is definitely good value. The price for the gym on its own is very pricey for what its limited space and what it actually offers. I will give the Erdington Leisure Centre 4 stars. The facilities are clean and very hygienic. The swimming pools are constantly cleaned and expertly maintained. There is always space in the pool for swimming during the day. Complete access to gym, pool, changing facilities, studios and sauna under one roof. Good value for money if you pay for gym and pool access. ( in my opinion) not as good value for money for gym access on its own.

Facilities are nice as the place is brand new, problems are lack of parking, inconsiderate users park all over the place and people have no where else to park down resident streets. Place is just too small for the area and needs of the locals. There's a very small waiting area if your there to watch young ones have lessons and the place just feels so compact / claustrophobic with the way its been designed. Shame really as it could have been so much better but i guess this is B.C.C for you.

Not that bad, although the shower before swimming should be compulsory, it's absolutely unacceptable to jump into water as you came. Others are showering for 10-15 seconds? Their swimming suits don't even get wet. Disgusting!!!

Feeling very disappointed was on the 7day trial and today I was actually going to ignore up or 12 months but now I’m not going to bother. Yesterday I had to rush out my realising I had left my new nike trainers behind, only realised this afternoon when I came to put them on, when I called I was told they hadn’t been handed in so obviously someone has stolen them along with my sweaty socks that were inside 😢

My local leisure centre and I love it. The staff are very polite if you are polite to them. Ignore the rude reviews below, have been coming here since it opened and not once did I see rude staff. I have on the other hand seen customers frequently being rude to staff! I don't mind that they don't asnwer the phone becasue they are too busy serving face to face customers. It's not perfect and admin isues sometimes causes stress but that comes from ppl outside the leisure centre i think. Highly recommend and am thankful it's in my neighbourhood.

Lovely new leisure centre. The downside is there is only 8 parking spaces with no real off street parking. Put me off a little as although I don't mind paying for local parking I don't fancy the walk alone in the dark evenings.

Joined at the old Centre in anticipation of the new Centre opening in September. In the meantime I had been using Wyndley, Fox Hollies and Erdington itself. However, whilst the new Centre is a massive improvement on the old Centre, I am really disappointed with the lack of stations in the gym - doesn't compare to Wyndley or Fox Hollies. It has always been advertised as having 75+ stations, but apparently only has 72, which is noticeable. Also, swimming seems to be really limited with regards to how much of the pool they are sectioning off for school swimming lessons - thought that was the point of the teaching pool???? And the section for leisure swimming tends to be full of people just standing around in the water talking and so the lane swimming can get too busy if you just want to do a few lengths. Overall, it's ok as it is walkable from where I live and if I'm tight on time it is ok for a quick workout or swim, but I don't ever come away feeling like I've had a good workout. Seems to me like a big opportunity has been missed here. Shame.

Leisure facility is fantastic. Gym staff is a little less aggressive than in the past. 1 hour session reduced to 50minutes. Expect better. The receptionist are very friendly and helpful but need to prioritise people who just want to be admitted over those who are seeking information or advice particularly during the Be Active times. The centre needs to manage repairs(showers, lockers,etc) in a more timely manner. The out of order showers are still a big challenge for them. The gym numbers are on the increase.

I came to swim and was pleasantly surprised that I could sign up for the 10 day challenge where you can swim, gym, classes at any time. A good opportunity that I took and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

It's a pity that in a new facility like this one still one need to hassle about having that quid to get access to locker. In my hometown, after refurbishment in 2016, all you need to is scan your palm by vascular biometrics scanner for registering your entrance/leave and locker access. Water in main pool like ca. 3° too hot for power swimming. Not enough lanes available on lane swimming/splash time slot. Strange there's no feet disinfecting basin between fitting rooms/showers and pool area.

Very nice facilities, however staff at the reception and swimming pool very unpolite when I have asked for help. That needs to change!

My and my daughter attend swimming classes for babies and we do enjoy it. Pay 20 pounds a month for 30min class once a week.
