This building may look shabby on the outside but what a gem of a find. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and helpful. It's always clean and tidy, even the pools changing rooms etc are well looked after. The gym is modern with the equipment well maintained, I just need to find a time more suitable for my needs. The children's swimming lessons are well structured and well worth the money. I think they are very cheap compared to other places. If you're looking for a local gym or swimming pool, I highly recommend this place

It was fab getting back to swimming after so long. However, customers need to be told of the procedure prior to attending as it was confusing what needed to happen. For instance, no shoes but no indication if flip-flops are allowed. You're allocated a rubber band with a number and your changing cubicle correspondes with it, which is fine, but cubicle was ALL wet and no hook on the door for your belongings. (I guess this is as a result of them being cleaned.) After changing you take your belongings to a clear storage box, which is located pool side, with a number which correspondes with your rubber band. After your swim you're meant to go back to your changing cubicle, however, someone else was in mine and I had to use another cubicle which hadn't been cleaned. Luckily there were some kind swimmers who instructed me and was very thankful for, although this is the job of the staff. Come on guys, we're not all mind readers.

Good range of facilities including swimming pool and gym. Staff are helpful and friendly. Facilities were clean on my visit and the pool well supervised. Gym membership costs are lower than the bigger chains at £36 per month and allow you to use the gym and pool across various Halo sites but it's still a lot to pay if you're not going to attend regularly.

Recently refurbished council swimming pool is very nice with good facilities but unfortunately currently run under contract by Halo Leisure. Offers children's swimming lessons, reasonable prices and comprehensive gym upstairs. Main 25m pool and smaller toddler pool. Unisex changing village and locker area with both private and communal showers. Hopefully pool will return to council management in the near future.

Went yesterday to enquire about a trial before joining and the staff I came into contact with were very helpful and nice especially kerys on reception. Working as a receptionist myself I know how hard the job can be and never get much credit for what we do. Keep up the good work and no doubt I will join if the first impression is anything to go by

I have been attending this facility for over ten years and it has not improved in that time. At best it is an acceptably mediocre facility. It's best qualities are it is mostly open on time for a good range of hours during the week, the weekend hours are perplexing short. It is mostly clean the Pos is mostly poorly written. All of the above can be tolerated the biggest issue by far is the lack of quality customer experience/service. There are two colleagues who are very good the rest are at best mediocre and the rest are just terrible. The organisation lacks a qualitive culture and it should change that.

Wednesday 1915-2000 7th March 2018. My daughter and I travel from Maesteg most Wednesdays to take part in Darren's HIIT class. We attend several classes between Maesteg and Bridgend and Darren's hard to beat for standard of exercises and the way it is instructed and executed in 45 minutes. His class is well attended even in last weeks bad weather. Well done to him.
