I'm new to the club having only joined back in August for a 6-week beginners' BJJ course. The course was an excellent introduction to the fundamental positions in BJJ.
I've since joined the regular sessions and I have found everyone to be welcoming, particularly some of the more experienced guys who have been very patient and happy to pass on their guidance.
Marcus is a clear instructor and there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the techniques we're learning.

I went to BJJX with no experience whatsoever, knowing I wanted a new challenge. The group is supportive, patient and generally amazing. Just good people all helping each other improve. Despite the pay-as-you-go good value approach, the training is absolutely fantastic. Rafa is active in the sport and a IBJJ referee; his teaching style is supportive and responsive. He's as legit as they come. GOOD fun; GOOD people and GOOD FOR YOU.

Joined Brighton BJJ exchange a couple of weeks ago and already feel part of the family. Extremely friendly bunch of guys, very welcoming and more than happy to help a complete novice such as myself. The instructor Marcus is clearly passionate about teaching BJJ, his enthusiasm and clear instruction makes learning BJJ an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this club!

Really good place to learn BJJ. Great for beginners with a really friendly group of people to train with. Everyone is very welcoming and really try to help each other improve. The first free class is a definite bonus and gives you a chance to see how fun BJJ is. Would definitely recommend.

I knew i wanted to try Jiu-Jitsu but that was all i knew about the sport. After emailing Marcus i dropped into a Friday session and have never looked back. The club is full of smiles and jokes, the atmosphere makes the training approachable and fun. The lessons are always well planned out with good instruction and the rolling at the end end of each is well supervised and always done with good nature. I'm addicted and so will you be if you come past and give it a go!!

Super friendly group of people and great for beginners. Brilliant that the first class is FREE and you can try it out for nothing. Cheapest BJJ club in Brighton with no contracts. Would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely Brilliant! Fantastic atmosphere, great people and very good classes which cater for all abilities! Thoroughly enjoy attending classes when I am able to, although my work doesn't always enable me, the flexibility of the pay and go at a very good price is perfect! Can't recommend Brighton bjj exchange enough!!!

I’ve done the beginner course(which is a great intro to Jujitsu) and attended the regular club. Great teaching and everyone at the club is there to learn, no egos. I’m glad this is my first experience of BJJ because it’s been nothing but positive.

Couldnt rate this place enough. Its a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Marcus is a fantastic teacher, breaking down the techniques and making sure everyone understands them properly. The team is very welcoming and wanting to help you learn the best you can and the classes are very affordable.

Had never done anything like this before. A great group of people who are very welcoming. The teaching is great and caters for all abilities. Also works for me as it's no contract so fits in with my shift work !! Highly recommend for anyone brand new or wants to get back into it.

I've been training here for about 5 months and have absolutely loved it! This is a great, growing club with a super friendly atmosphere and excellent teaching - perfect for anyone wondering about bjj or looking to roll near the centre of Brighton!

Have had a lot of fun learning Brazillian Jiu-jitsu at this club. Marcus teaches really clearly making easy to get into running drills with techniques straight away. Plus there's no contract and classes are really affordable. A great place to learn.

Absolutely quality training. Great atmosphere and very reasonably priced rather than ridiculous costs of most BJJ clubs it seems. No egos and a good enviroment to learn in and very addictive!

Wanted to pick a new sport and sent Marcus a message who provided me with all the answers I was looking for. The lads are really welcoming and are all trying to help each other. 8 months later I'm still loving it. If you're looking for a new sport where there's always something new to learn, plenty of space to progress, and to do so in a supporting environment then give it a go.

Friendly bunch and not intimidating at all (as I had feared going in as a girl). Good teaching tailored to people's experience. Good value too! Will go again.

Super friendly bunch led by Marcus, beginners welcome so it has been great experience for me just to gather knowledge about bjj.
