Had such an amazing experience recently with my sister and her friends, celebrating her hen do. The staff were so lovely and encouraging, teaching us how to kayak and stand up on paddle boards while also being relaxed and just having the best time. Extremely welcoming and enjoyable experience, I will 100% be planning to go again :)

I had the most amazing time kayaking back in August 2020! If you’re interested about my experience: I wanted to do kayaking in London. I called couple of days in advance just when I was sure the weather wouldn’t be horrendous. Every kayaking/boat places in London was fully booked and for a Saturday slot you need to book ages in advance. And of course it’s weather dependent, so really inconvenient… As a consequence, we decided to jump on a train to Brighton with my boyfriend and walked by Brighton Watersports randomly. We waited 10/15min and without even booking we could rent a kayak and had so much fun. You cannot go really far for safety reason but it’s good enough for beginners!

Fantastic experience - lots of fun with great, friendly staff. We went paddle-boarding/kayaking with Brighton Watersports as part of a stag-do and would thoroughly recommend it. It was a fun afternoon and our guides (Joao and Louis) made sure we had a great time - they were super friendly and helpful giving us tips and encouragement while also ensuring we were enjoying ourselves with games and challenges etc. I mentioned early on that I wasn't super comfortable in the water etc. and they made sure to check in on me throughout the session.

I am an odd shape and the owner Adam went above and beyond to help me get into water sports. Getting a wet suit was not easy, I had almost lost hope when Adam offered a can do attitude, trying to find solutions for what other shops had dismissed with that's all we have and no idea about what to try next. This shop is led by passion and dedication to make water sports inclusive to all! A big thank you to Adam and his team.

Just by sheer chance Google directed me to this shop for a paddle board as I was in the market and infact visiting Brighton that weekend on a Jolly..Was my first visit to this shop and meeting Adam.. Just wanna say my main reason for the visit was because of the online reviews of the shop and of Adam..Well all I can say is 5 stars isn't enough..No bs was given from Adam and no hard sale Just upfront honest information. I've now gone on to purchasing my first wet suit and paddle board and if I require anything in future I will be returning customer..Thanks again Adam you're a Top fella. Great place and Adam was super helpful and kindly ran me up my driving license I left behind. Went for a long paddle and needed exercise visiting from West Coast. Super nice location, great place and great people. Utterly amazed on a gorgeous sunny day I was the only one out. Thank you guys, will be back.

Fantastic experience with the paddle boards! The staff were super friendly and we received the paddle boards soon after our allotted time. Great to see Brighton from a different perspective after being a local for 20 years! We got to go quite close to both piers. -1 star as it would be a great idea to offer waterproof phone bags that go around the neck in return for a refundable deposit. This would help people keep their timings, as well as cherish their memories through the photographs they take as well as being able to call for help if they need it! Thank you!

We were taught stand-up paddleboard by a very friendly and natural instructor called Fraser and would recommend their lessons to anyone. The price was reasonable and included everything you need. It was so fun we're going back to try it again. As well as hire and lessons, there's also a little shop where you can buy swim and watersports kit but because of the size the range is quite limited.

Went for my first paddle board session with Jock who was brilliant,a nice, easy going instructor. Very encouraging. The centre was very busy and it was hot but the staff still remained nice and helpful.Also bought a wetsuit front these guys earlier in the year and am loving it, received great advice from the owner of the centre and am very happy I purchased it, good price and brilliant fit. Great little shop kitted out with everything you may need for your watersports or adventures. I bought a wetsuit for open water swimming this week from them and it's brilliant! The staff are so friendly and were able to advise on the best wetsuit finding a perfect fit for me! Would highly recommend, thanks Sam & Jonny 👍

Really great staff working here. I was completely new to paddle boarding, the gentleman who set me up gave me clear instructions and by the end of my session I was able to stand, albeit briefly, twice. I would definitely return when I visit Brighton in the future. The prices are very good too, if I'd have had the time during my stay I would have paid for another session!

This place is great! I spent 30 mins with Nikki who helped me choose my first ever wetsuit, giving me loads of tips about sea swimming etc. I didn't spend over my budget. Bought my suit last Friday - I've been in the sea 5 times since then (it's now Tuesday. And it's May). Excellent. I even rang them up to thank them after my first sea swim as I'm so grateful.

Brilliant Experience. I am not too much of an adventurous person, but me and mine were wondering around town without much to do and as we passed Brighton Watersports I asked the chirpy fellow what there was to do. He was most helpful and suggested we try something new, so we decided to do some paddle boarding for the first time.The guys were amazing, they gave us a great explanation that was clear and very useful, before we hit the water to make sure we knew all that we needed before we hit the water. They took pictures for us and emailed them on and the showers were a god send. It turned a lost day into memories that I will hold forever.

Fantastic shop and hire place. The staff are super-friendly, you don't need to book if you want to hire kayaks or paddle boards, which is great because we turned up expecting not to be able to go out, but we did, so ended up having an awesome day!

£30 for 2 people 1 hour on a kayak for 2. They'll give a life vest and can keep your things but the lockers don't have key. We had to carry the kayak all the way. They just take the money and you do the work..

Amazing little shack. Obviously very busy as we waited a while for paddle boards, but it was 1pm on a 27 degree Saturday afternoon! The paddle boards were so fun and very well priced. All £10 for one hour per person. Will definitely be going back.

This place is great! We went down on a fairly windy Sunday morning, hired kayaks and tried for half an hour to launch them. We got smashed to bits by the shore dumps and eventually gave up feeling disappointed and annoyed. We felt a bit ridiculous and silly but thankfully the instructor Craig was really sympathetic and told us to come back whenever the weather was better and we could have another go for no extra charge! We did indeed head back the following Saturday when the weather was lovely and calm. Craig gave us a 15 minute lesson on how to launch and ride the kayaks and we then spent a wonderful hour exploring Brighton from a totally new perspective. We will definitely be going back-We hear that river tours are in the offing.

I came here on Sunday to have a look at buying a paddle board. I spoke to a guy called Andrew upstairs in the shop who was very knowledgeable about all the kit and gave some great advice about local surf spots. I would highly recommend to anyone ***** who is looking at anything watersports related.

Beautiful Setting, Amazing, helpful staff, they will do what they can. We had a forgotten our shoes, far from the shore, a gentleman was kind enough to fetch our footwear and carry our equipment. Definitely suggest to friends and fam to go.

Rented a kayak for a couple of hours last summer, prices were pretty sensible considering you get all the gear (suit, buoyancy vest and kayak) and there are locks to keep your stuff safe. You just need to be fit to swim if needed, have ID card and sign usual waiver

If you're into kayaking and stand up paddleboarding, this is the place for you, competitively priced, boards and kayaks available for rental with all the gear you'll need, the owner Adam knows his stuff and is extremely helpful with any questions or concerns and your safety is his prime concern, I've been using the facilities here for quite a few years now and I'll keep going back for more, the sea is my second home and the guys at Brighton watersports help and keep me afloat, highly recommended.
