W.Visited this venue to watch the MCR concert, despite the huge queues to enter, the cricket ground was actually very spacious once we entered, with lots of room at the back if you don't want to be in the crowds at the front! The sound quality wasn't the best, but it was still good enough to enjoy the concert! Overall a good venue, and nice on a sunny day.
P.An excellent venue. I've been to watch 20/20 cricket Eng v Pakistan and Live music concert, My Chemical Romance. What a great venue for a concert. Plenty of space, lots of facilities and well organised. Would highly recommend.

Staff going above and beyond to sort stuff out on the day. And went from 3 star to 4 based on how hard they were working to sort stuff out.
P. W.Popped over to watch a T20 Blast game. Glamorgan v Sussex Sharks. Glamorgan won with an over to spare. No queues for beer or food. The food was very good, no more expensive than other cricket grounds I've been to. Friendly staff who were helpful. We had a grounds ticket so we could sit anywhere there was a seat.
T. H.The ground was in excellent condition the seating was good but we were disappointed with the lack of refreshments for non members. The only things available were alcohol, coffee, crisps, chocolate and donuts, these were bought from a small portable kiosk in one corner of the ground. I understand that some renovation work is going on but I think the refreshment arrangements could be better.

A. T.A wonderful cricket ground worthy of holding cricket World Cup games. The staff here are very helpful and always ready to assist you. The stands are what you would expect, tiers of seats, some covered, others not - depending on the type of ticket you purchase.
All in all, a great experience and welcoming atmosphere, whether you're a neutral watching the game or following a team, you'll enjoy watching it here.

A. “. Z.Witnessed my first World Cup Cricket match in Wales as England & Wales were hosting the cricket world cup from May to July 2019. This was the Afghanistan vs South Africa match, I had a great time here with my friends as we all went for a road trip from London. Met incredible people from Afghanistan and South African fans cheering for their respectful teams. Including some celebrities commentators and sports casters. Good selection of foods in the stadium concierge, but very pricey.
I would suggest you buy food outside the stadium (i.e - Tesco, Sainsbury's, Chicken shop, FIsh & Chips shop etc) it's much cheaper. The parking cost £15 for a whole day, which is relatively cheap compared to London prices.

Before and during a match has a very good selection of food to eat i, chips, fish n chips, hot dogs, cornish pasties saw plenty of places to buy beer.
I would happily visit the stadium again.
M. M.Glamorgan first played at Sophia Gardens against the Indian touring team in May 1967, but it was not until nearly three decades later that it officially became the county's home. The signing of a 125-year lease in November 1995 ended the clubs 74-year search for a ground, a nomadic period during which the clubs base had at times been limited to a small office in Cardiff high street.

I would like to thank Sarah Ball who works on the Ground Stand, she managed to arrange easy accessible seating for myself, hubby and 4 children (9 and under) and helped take the double pram around to the storage area. She made sure to come around and check on us. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be visiting again soon.

A. S.A great place to watch cricket. I would rather watch here than lords or oval. Seats are a bit limited but even higher up from the last row, the view is good. Food is quite expensive but then that is expected at any venues. Enough parking spaces and quite accessible by public transport.

S. D.Good night of cricket in spite of the rain!!! Good party atmosphere in the Pavilion Stand. T20 matches are a good introduction (& cheap) to children to a sporting event I can't comment on any of the food/drink outlets as I don't use these. Toilets are always clean & plenty of them. Stewards can be unnecessarily arrogant & rude especially at international matches.

S. N.The SSE Swalec is such a lovely neat stadium and such a great setting in the park. We've been there for the cricket and for concerts and it's an easy 10 minute walk from the city centre. TOP TIP: While the city centre bus station is being redeveloped, coaches arrive right next door to the stadium so if you're coming from another town or city, get the national express as it's really handy

D. C.A great day out, with partner or children. Always best in glorious weather but when it's not raining is still a great evening even when chilly. The staff here are fantastic, the atmosphere is superb and Glamorgan always entertain. The hats are free the crowd is friendly and the odd refrains make you chuckle. I've been to nearly every match and can't recommend this highly enough.

E.I have just returned home from an absolutely awesome night at the Swalec Stadium watching Simply Red. The concert was amazing and the staff at the Stadium were brilliant, extremely helpful and knowledgeable with regards to everything I asked and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble for them. I will definitely recommend this venue to others. Also, if you bought food, you had 25% off when you showed your concert ticket

To walk in and smell the fresh cut grass and to feel the beaming sun on our skins and the echoing raw booming around the stadium whenever theres a wicket. like i mean it, you would be a fool not to enjoy such an atmosphere. P.s. if your not a fan of drunkards dancing around you and chanting various songs then i would upgrade your seats for a more casual and professional atmosphere, one where you are not disturbed from watching the game.

The stadium has over a century of history for the local Glamorgan county cricket team, and was upgraded recently to bring the standard up to international par for ICC cricket competitions.

F.Sadly I've never been within the actual grounds of the stadium however my reason for giving these people have stood topmarks and Stadium design is the sheer power of their Wi-Fi if you go across the top river you will find a wonderful little Rocky outcrop or a little rocky beach from where you can receive the Wi-Fi from the SWALEC Stadium substantially improving any little get together or picnic you decide to have there. I cannot thank you enough SWALEC for many a wonderful afternoon you have allowed for me and my friends

M. C.I went here for VentureFest Wales 2016 and its difficult to separate the event from the venue. The venue is OK but has a slightly old and in need of investment feel to it. The parking is somewhat inconvenient and expensive.
