Water in the pool is cold in the morning and hot in the end of the day. Probably it's better to come with kids in the evenings. Clubbercise was good,but why sticks are not included in the £5.20? Soft play!!! You can leave your child for 90 min, or play together 1-3pm (don't remember exactly the time)

I visited Xcel on Thursday morning, I was invited to attend a table tennis bat and chat session, the girl on reception was extremely polite, answered my question and pointed me in the right direction, half of the huge gym was in use and 7 tables were available for play, never having been there before and not knowing how the temperature would be I decided on track suit bottoms rather than shorts, that was a mistake which I will rectify next week, it is a large area but was pleasantly warm, well lit and clean. The two hour session flew by, I will be returning next week and every week I am able. If you a current player like me, an ex player or just looking for a little exercise and fun this is ideal, the standards vary from absolute beginners to league level play. 10 out of 10.

Great facilities but the pool schedule seems to be very limited with little for kids in the week. Trying to get into a swim session at the weekend is about as frustrating as it can be. Advised to call a number that is never answered. Arrive with out pre booking and you have to wait inline hoping some one is a no show so you can go in. When you do go in you realise most of the pool is empty anyway. Summary- Great facilities but poorly managed/organised.

I love this center. We had karate there. Also we had Half term activities, which is nice between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. your child will be having sports, pool and soft play games.

It was my granddaughter's birthday swimming party. They had the pool to themselves, lots of inflatables to keep them occupied. The lifeguards were very attentive and chatty. Ideal room for the food. Everywhere clean and space for a run around afterwards.

Went in for swimming mainly, lots of staff, pool was good temperature. Steam room has been down. Downside is that there is very limited swimming times and that is quite inconvenient. Parking available. They could make the changing room facilities cleaner.

Edit: 13/03/22 The booking system is still awful and doesn't follow the actual rules, allowing anyone to book at any time. There's an issue with the temp when in the pool/changing rooms, they can be freezing and when people start coming in for the next session you can feel the air temp drop, happens every time. Also, booking is a bit of a mess, often can't get through, card machine doesn't work and although the site says you need to book there days ahead, that's not followed and none are kept back for walk ins.

Our son had a friends birthday party at Pirate's Cove and it was brilliant. Nice little area for the adults to congregate and a kitchen area too. Kids loved the softplay and it was lovely and clean.

Friendly class atmosphere - I have really enjoyed indoor cycling and yoga here. A bit disappointed with the pool opening hours as it is used for school classes, so not always open to the public.

I have now become a full member because I really like the place the staff are very polite and well mannered . for me the facilities are excellent and the parking is free. Because there is a school next door there is some congestion around school times especially parents using the car park for dropping off and picking up but it's not a major problem.

Off to a good start since being allowed to reopen. Everything looks clean and well set out. Looking forward to going for a swim again after over a year of waiting! Before the pandemic it was a great venue, nice facilities, friendly helpful staff. The gym is a bit small, but well equipped with an emphasis on free weights and CV. The Village Hotel nearby has a bigger and better gym, but it's also very expensive and the pool isn't as good for exercise. Also if you get a Lifestyles membership you can use all of the connected facilities across Coventry, including the Alan Higgs Centre and The Wave, as well as others. Top tip- sign up to Go CV and you get discounts on all sessions and on membership, as well as discounted entry to other places like the Transport Museum

This is my regular, local gym. I chose it because it has a huge swimming pool, and loads of classes. I love the yoga and Pilates sessions. Also, should be of interest, in a hired room there is a church service upstairs on Sunday mornings. The gym itself is good, a lot of the cardio equipment has a built-in TV which makes running fly by much faster! However, the one thing I did not like was the fact that when you come in and out of the swimming pool, there are shared showers. I have been weirded out by men following me into the showers. I never go swimming without a friend.

Didnt have the best 1st experience of this place. My 5 year old son had his 1st swimming lesson here today. The sour-faced receptionist that was wearing far too much make-up could do with a bit of training on her customer service skills. The instructors stared their lessons without even introducing themselves or checking to see if all of their pupils were there. My lad and another chaps lad were just left standing there not knowing where they were supposed to go to. I had to ask the lifeguard, who spent the half hour lesson just walking back an forth saying "oh, what a day" every 2 minutes, as tho he had a more important place to be. Finally found out which group my lad was in, the instructor didnt seem to find it strange that she only had one pupil out of four that was supposed to be in her lesson when she started. My lad did enjoy his lesson though and his instructor engaged with the kids quite well. Hopefully next week will go better now we know whats what and who is who.

Friendly staff. Great place to work out and swim. Good size pool and a great place to relax after a workout is the sauna and jucoovie and steam room, plus the cafe and the many other classes they offer.

Brilliant, clean, comfortable. Sadly no little pool for toddlers so if you go there you have to physically swim yourself holding your toddler/young child. They could improve by adding a small pool for children under 10 who do not swim.

Lovely place for a swim with young children, or if you want to swim lanes by yourself. Keep in mind that certain events are popular, and will be sold out if you don't get there on time. There's also a playground outside. Quite fun with younger children (especially if it's not wet).

Good value for money on the swimming lessons and gym membership. Occasionally not very clean in the swimming pool area however, although this is down to users going in there with dirty shoes or no shoe covers on, and then letting their kids pee on the toilet seat. There are always abuses of the blue badge spaces which the management seem unconcerned by, but for a parent of a child with a disability it is very important to me. Maybe a staffing issue but they do nothing to change their customers behaviour in this regard.

I arrived around 17:35 and asked for access to the pool and steam room, said it was my first time. I was told where to go but unfortunately wasn't told the pool wouldn't be available until 7pm (almost 1 and a half hours later). The jacuzzi isn't fully working as one set of jets are out of order -staff are aware of the issue. Staff are friendly. The place is clean and tidy.

Only use the pool here, but lots of other activities to do. Pool always warm. Changing rooms and showers need an update. Staff always helpful. Cafe on site, and when shut there are hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks vending macines.

Soft play area was very nice and ideal for birthday parties. The pool is great however the changing rooms are not as the floors are always dirty with hair and fluff and kids are struggling to avoid these bits when walking

Pool is pretty good and centre is generally a good standard for a public pool. Not always very clear communication from staff regarding swimming lessons which can therefore be difficult to arrange. Overall a good place for swim/gym.

Visited for swimming session with the floats out. Decent session with plenty of pool toys for all. Maintains a free swim section of the pool for lane swimmers. Pool floor raises and lowers to change pool depth. Very handy. Young but attentive poolside staff.

Run by the local authority this leisure centre provides adequate facilities for most common sporting activities. The gym is sparsely equipped based on modern expectations. Changing rooms are also not the best. having said all this, the price for membership is certainly fair.

The staff at the reception is not enough in peak times and you need to et their attention or they don't bother!!! the gym looks good but with all that space in the building they could make it bigger to allow more space between the machines. Cleaning is not their best attitude, there is lots of fluff and dust behind and below most machines and in the corners of the room. Sometimes they sweep the floor while people are training and that's pretty bad since we all breathe it in while exercising!! The quality of music is not great and often kept really low, just the same radio station with the same songs all the time! They could make a greater simple effort! After all people pay!!

It was clean and had everything needed as well as plenty of parking, however, toilets were not clearly signposted, neither was the lift for disabled people. The room that yhe swimming pool was in was also much too hot, it was stifling even from the corridor outside it.

A good pool for people with mobility problems. A poolside chair lift and other ways are there to help you get into the pool. The pool has a raisable floor as well. Staff are always on hand. Temperature is normaly quite warm.

I take my son to stay and play here. I did think about taking him swimming too as moved back into Canley. But for Lil ones it's only one to one basis either mum or dad in the pool. We carry on to go to Stratford leisure centre as we can both get in the pool with him and it's free for under 5s

Attended a kid's party there, the pirate cove area is great for children's parties. With Aircon too which was good given it was roasting outside. Definitely worth considering if you're planning your LOs birthdays

Visited the centre for an evening swim session. Staff really friendly and helpful, changing room fine, clean enough, big cubicals and plent of them. Pool was good, 25m and not too busy despite it being January. Only gripe was the temperature of the pool was a little cold which caused a few bouts of cramp in my feet. Could do with being a little bit warmer. Maybe this is because it's costs so much to heat now days? The hairdryers were not great and the showers ok.
