Didn't go to watch Cricket. It was to a private party. The venue is basically very good with a free car park. The facilities too are good. Bar prices quite reasonable. In the summer with the balcony doors open to catch the sunset this is a lovely place, but it should be understood that cricket is a summer game, so there is only very limited heating in the main function room if you party there in the winter. For this reason it only gets Four Stars from me.

Went to see family and ended up watching a firework display on the cricket ground. It always amazes me how nice this local community comes together to support the area they live in. If only more places were like this

I have been watching Spondon cricket club since I was about 5 years old, when my parents used to take me to the old ground near the Vernon Arms. They sold off the ground and moved to a new ground at 144 Locko Rd, which is much bigger and has 2 pitches. Facilities are excellent there and the cricket is first rate. Spondon has been at the top of the league for years. They have several teams and encourage the young to take up the sport. Would recommend all to cine and see cricket on a lovely Saturday afternoon , beautiful views and Bluebells near by, to take the kids if they get tired of the cricket. Excellent place to go.

Ok for awake, very small room!! Cup of tea/coffee you are charged £1 each and the alcohol if you wish to buy is really expensive, I wouldn't choose this place at all!!
