What a hidden gem. Viscum is set back from the road and appears as if just a house at first sight. However there is a large carpark and shop with a vast array of healthy fish to see. U can get all your fishy needs met here with lots of choice, products etc. The owners are lovely, friendly and knowledgeable an are happy to give advice an share the space openly. Overall a lovely place to pop in even if just for a look.

Normally I rate this aquatic store and the owner. But today was a major let down as I purchased some decorative branches I asked if they would want soaking for a couple of weeks so they wouldn't float. No. He replied no they are good to use right away. On putting them into the tank they floated. I would have thought with all his years of experience he should have known that.Very disappointed as I paid quite a bit for them.

Very friendly atmosphere and the guys can't do enough to help, nothing to much trouble. We were offered a hot drink as soon as we entered the aquatics shop, something gratefully received on a wet and cold late October day. We were also offered to look through their new plant stock that had just been delivered and still in the boxes, although their collection already in the shop on show were healthy & extensive. All their tanks whether cold, tropical & saltwater are well maintained and stocked with good healthy fish. I can recommend Viscum 100%, I bought some really healthy plant's and bit's and bobs for my tanks that are still aging. I'll be going back to stock the tanks with new residents so "Get the kettle on lad's".

The shop is inconspicuous on the outside, but the kingdom inside. A large selection of cold-water, tropical, saltwater fish, plants, some shrimps, frogs, turtles, axolotls and everything you need if you have an aquarium or pond. Weak advertising - I've been living in Doncaster for 5 years and I didn't know about this store. Great customer service. Good prices. I recommend this store very much :)

I had recently been gifted a 4ft tropical tank. Knowing nothing about fish at all. I vaguely remember visiting this place with a friend. I called up and got a friendly welcome. So I got in the car and had a run out. I was there about a hour and the gents took there time to talk me through my set up, giving me tips and knowledge that would have meant me sitting on google for hours. It looks like a family run business and I’m all for supporting local and not the big giants. I believe small local business will give you the time and service to ensure you will be a reoccurring customer. This was clearly evident today. The fish selection is awesome. Credit where credit is due. If your a novice or fish expect this place seems to have all your needs.. I know this will now be my go to place. They even told me about there Facebook page and said to message with any questions even if they were closed. So after service is also present. 💯 service. Ps I’ll be back for my Guppies 😂 Thank you so much for your time today.

Why do some people leave bad reviews when clearly they have issues I've just looked at Brandon's review profile and there's quite a lot of 1 star reviews so here we go ! I've used viscum for 20 plus years and yes they know what's what with fish etc and yes there may be dead fish in the odd tanks but this happens everywhere pets at home maiden aquatics at home in your aquarium this doesn't mean it's bad if you died people wouldn't say oh it's his mum and dad's fault now would they !!! I've never had issues with anything from here friendly and knowledgeable helpful straight to the point no bull like some of the national places mention no names pah 😜 anyway they are just doing a big revamp to the tank area which by the way looks really good sorry for waffling but great job guys keep it up I come from Dewsbury to shop there and we'll worth the drive Picture is of fish I got from viscum probably cheaper than some other places too !!
