What a fabulous day we had today while celebrating my 30th birthday. Very busy place, but staff was very nice and helpful. Ordered drinks and snacks at the bar area. Bartender was very good and attentive. Our nachos and fries arrived to the bowling area very quickly and were delicious. Great place to spend time.

This review is really for the arcade games section. There's a decent selection of games, with skill games and luck based ones. The claw machine is a bit ridiculous and very tough to win (if it's even possible) and some games are just too expensive for the one go you get (the hammer game for example). I appreciate you're getting tickets so it's not totally wasted but it feels like the whole area would benefit from either a reduction in price or some sort of card based system that you load money onto (this also obscures the high costs somewhat). A lot of the machines on my last visit were out of tickets at 11am and the place was not busy. The staff are good at coming and filling machines but it would surely make sense to do check them first thing in the morning?

This is the second time we've bowled here and found ut to be welcoming and family friendly. The alleys are well set up for small children and a big games area. It was a little bit cold when we were there last week so bring a warm jumper.

Very expensive experience. The bowling was fun but lasted no time at all, then those machines just eat money in exchange for hundred of 'tickets' which can be exchanged for the cheapest of tat. The kids enjoyed it!

It's alright. Quite enjoy going there for a few rounds of pool but the pool balls are all mismatched and the contactless system is iffy at best. Kitchen closes quite early too and a bottle of Irn Bru is whopping £2.50 for 500ml, I didn’t expect it to be cheap however I didn’t think I’d have to call the emergency services and report a robbery.

Wonderful place to take the little ones, the bowling was 1st class. Only downside was the diner, it really let the place down. We waited over 45 minutes for basic hotdogs and burger and when the food came out there was a hot dog missing, it took 5 minutes to be sent out leaving us wondering why we waited 45 minutes to start with. Furthermore the food was lukewarm to cold and clearly left on a hotplate too long. The price of 4 kids hot dogs and a burger with drink was close to £50 and quite Frankly McDonald's would have been better, faster and cheaper. Would not recommend the food but would highly recommend the bowling.

Took the kids for a game of bowling and they really enjoyed it. It cost about £19 for a family of four for one game. Very clean and the staff were really friendly, offered to help set up the game and gave us stickers when we got a strike - which impressed the kids!

Not too busy but good enough atmosphere. Pool tables are really good, can pay by card too. Few games machines but we had great fun for an hour and a half before lane was ready. Bowling lanes are good, all well maintained and great features with adding a photo with your name on screen. Costa in here and can get food and alcohol too. Plenty parking, toilets were clean, warm and functional. Staff were a mixed bunch, some friendly and helpful but initially we walked in, 2 people on till and 1 member of staff talking to them and other practically ignored us. Would go back again. Went back again! Staff extra helpful and friendly. Busier as it was good Friday but everything was great about the visit. Spent more time and more money. Will be back again Asked again to review. This time it's start of summer holidays, staff were ace, place was fab and prices were ace

Great venue with friendly staff. The site is clean and equipment in good order. My biggest criticism is the price. . . We paid £50 for 4 children to play. I mean if that wasn't pricey enough. Hollywood bowl have the cheek to increase their prices "due to demand". The venue was at 25% capacity at best. This will definitely detract me from going anytime soon.

Visited today with my youngest son. It was quite busy and staff were friendly, polite and really helpful. The place was clean and staff were regularly sanitising the equipment when customers had finished. We had a problem with a pin being stuck and the staff were quick to fix it.

New pool tables take contactless payment, but the cost of £1.50 per game is a lot.. There are cheaper places! Staff and atmosphere are OK- nothing to write home about. Cues are straight, but no chalk supplied...

Arcade area was heaving, bowling maybe 3/4 full and some scattered tables of pool etc. Probably typical for Sat late lunch time. Ordered food at the diner and wasn't great, being served had to be chased up even though the diner area was empty, the female staff serving food looked like they really didn't want to be there and the coke was all water no syrup, young male staff members serving were friendly though so eating experience wasn't totally spoiled. The arcade and bowling are great fun but plenty other places to eat in the retail park at the same prices. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

My first visit here for some tenpin bowling. Started off winning with the first strike, but then fell by the wayside. Nevertheless had a fab time with family and am looking forward to going back. Good time had by our group but very expensive pass time. The covid restrictions are so ironic, plastic shields between lanes, masks at all times but you share bowls with strangers and the hand sanitising stations are all empty ....

It's ok for a bowling alley but compared to other Hollywood Bowl complex, it's one of the lowest standards I've been to. Main problem is the balls get covered in oil to the point it even gets on your fingers then onto your clothes and in the finger holes. Other people next to us commented on the same. Brunswick system is very old compared to other Hollywood Bowl AMF systems...

Had a great time here. Visited a few weeks ago. There is perspex screens in between the seats in each lane, however there is no screens where you actually bowl from. The lanes right beside eachother aren't open, so you arent sharing the balls with anyone else, and there is hand sanitizer placed around the arcade. Would recommend you to book online if you plan to visit as it is normally very busy. Great place to go, the arcade has a variety of different machines and games that you can play and enjoy.

Great place if you take a bank loan out before going!! Too pricey all round! They should keep in mind, its about keeping kids , big & small happy at affordable prices. A bit greedy for money in my opinion! It's not fair on some unfortunate people who can't really afford to bring their children for one visit, never mind returning to the venue. If they lowered their prices, I think they would get more visitors / returning visitors / custom in general. Their food, drinks, shakes etc are ridiculously expensive for what you get. Parents / carers feel guilty / stressed / depressed / sad that they can't afford this venue. When their children repeatedly ask why can't we go!? When you see / hear children getting upset because they can't go / feeling let down by parents and carers, all due to greedy overpricing of everything at this venue. It's not parents letting them down, it's the venues pricing

Good place to come bowling with friends. The scoring system and alleys are modern with no technical glitches. We got upgraded to one of the VIP lanes for free, although there is little difference with these lanes compared to the normal ones, so i wouldn’t bother paying extra for an upgrade. There is also an arcade and bar with a good selection of beer. Only complaint was the gents toilets: there was only one functioning cubicle and the urinals were all blocked. We were lucky we didn’t go on a busy evening.

Me and my wife really enjoy the arcade here. Great for families but you can easily spend a mint! Prizes for the arcade tickets are good. Some worth while items if you have spent enough time and money here! Food available is ok and a little over priced as you expect with these kinda places, however, good location and many alternatives around. The bowling is your run of the mill and pool tables are also available for rent. The look and feel of the place is great with a nice bar and seating area.

Admittedly that included 2 drinks (which we didnt want) but was told there was no cheaper option without drinks. Was just over 20 quid when we came along a few months ago so i grudged paying it but we'd already made the long trip there...not sure i will be back anytime soon.

Go here quite a lot. Always enjoyed bowling as a bit of a laugh but the introduction of all the new arcade machines makes for a better all round experience. If you plan on going on a Saturday then you should definitely book a lane. I have forgotten to do so on a few occasions and have been told it would be over an hours wait.

My baby boys first ever bowling outing and he loved it, however trying to get the screen sorted and the railings up for just my son and daughter was frustrating. We ended up just keeping the railings up to avoid complications any further. Also it wasn't as expensive as other places that I've bowled at but there was a few inconsistencies with the amount for the same order on drinks.

Great night out to go with friends even as a works night out. Has bowling, pool, a bar and a fun and games area within Hollywood bowl. Food is OK and the price is not too bad, but don't expect 5 star cuisine when getting food from Hollywood bowl.

Good fun, prices are not bad and there is usually a deal on with 'Adventure Golf Island' (across the road) for £11 for one game of bowling and one course of crazy golf. Service was mediocre. There were two members of staff at the food/drink kiosk chatting and restocking while we stood for ten minutes waiting for one drink.

If i didnt have kids I'd never be in a place like this.It's noisy. It's brash. Where do all these people keep coming from? Its a large bowling alley with a token Hollywood theme. Theres an arcade area which offers some machines and a bit of air hockey. Lots of tickets you can win. Spend pounds earning them and several hundred translates into a packet of bubble gum or similar. Whatever. Wear your own shoes and bowl. Fine. It works well. Plenty of lanes. Im not sure why people need a VIP area. A young woman darts around taking orders for drinks whilst handing out stickers to kids and generally ensuring the adults know how to switch their computer screens on. Theres a bar serving alcohol and fruit cordials etc. Food was little more than some barely cooked frozen pizzas with some chicken wings and dip. Kids didnt complain but i would wander outside for a better eatery. Pool tables. It ticks all the boxes it needs to. A large area of over sugared kids and adolescents and reluctant parents all under one roof. Its clean. The young staff are all friendly and helpful so what's to complain about? Id rather go fishing but as it isnt about me then here's an option for a wet weekend or kids party.
